I woke up one day and felt ill. I decided to leave a well-paid teaching job, as
I was determined to start my own school after years of witnessing the
system fail. I envisioned breaking barriers in a setting where children really
had the freedom to think and act creatively without being judged or
mistreated. In the past five years of teaching in numerous “high quality”
preschools and other educational programs, I had seen every horror story
you can imagine, and all of it happening behind classroom doors. Every
day children were being treated disrespectfully. The moment parents
departed, children were abused verbally, made fun of or ridiculed. My own
4 year old, who came along with me to the preschool I taught was
constantly yelled at, belittled and not allowed to use the bathroom when he
needed to. Of course when I found out about such things, I called his
teacher(s) on these issues, but nothing ever went anywhere. I struggled job
after job, taking my belief behind office doors to the director. How every one
of them failed to see their system’s shortcomings in providing quality care
and education. “How was this quality education?” I asked a supervisor
once. Her cold response was “We are doing the best we can do Samira,
everyone has personal problems and stress factors they bring into work,
and when you got lots of little kids that are wild and need proper discipline,
there will be clashing and even some teachers mistreating the children. But
in the end of the day children have forgotten about it and return the next
day happily. so where’s the harm done Samira?” That was my last day in
that school. I was now quite disappointed. After this, my journey into the
non-profit world of education begun.
I believe that we all have the ability to transcend the wars, to live in
harmony with the Earth. With change in schools and policy planning, we
will be able to create a peaceful society internationally and globally. We
have the power to grow endless food, so that no one would ever go hungry.
Schools and teachers can focus on providing endless opportunities for
children, so that they may cherish every moment of their existence.
Teachers should focus their energy on creating and improving the human
experience regardless of their special need, family background or culture.
We have the technology, resources and answers to many of the problems
we have created ourselves. Now is the time that collectives come together
to create change in schools and societies. All people of the Earth need to
come together to make this happen, as we set aside our differences to
realize that we are all in this together.

It sees you as a Son or Daughter of God, incarnating into a physical body for the purpose of Spiritual growth and service in this mystery school called Earth. It recognizes that you are one with God, your brothers and sisters, and all of Creation. It recognizes that you are in a process of evolution, fully realizing this truth at a planetary level now, and then evolving through the solar, galactic, universal, multi-universal and cosmic realities until you fully realize this truth in an ultimate cosmic sense. It recognizes that even though you have not fully realized this oneness yet, it remains an inherent truth of your being. It sees you as an eternal, immortal Spirit living in your current physical body of which you have had many, the current one probably being your last one…. So let it be written. So let it be done.

On Sunday I completed a Body Electric intensive called “Erotic Temple.”    The facilitators set a high standard for me to follow during the Edward Carpenter Gay Men’s Week that I’ll facilitating in September.

On the first day I gave and received the erotic massage that is the key-stone of Body Electric work.  This session included two big draws. As we started to prepare for the second, a facilitator suggested envoking a spiritual being.  I found myself saying softly, “I envoke Sanat Kumara.”   (Sanat Kumara is an aspect of divinity in the writings of Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey.)  I felt an energy enfuse my body. 

As soon as I said this I had second thoughts.  In the Mystery School for Divine Mastery we use guided meditation to enter into the presence of Sanat Kumara, but we don’t invoke him.  In other words, we go to him; he doesn’t come to us.

Yet I had experienced a new energy.

I soon realized that this energy was not Sanat Kumar but an entity taking me to him.  My experience on the massage table changed.  The other men became agents of Sanat Kumara.   What ever was being done was taking me into His presence.  At the big draw I saw a black hole, and then entered into a stone room, with the sense of a being much like Kwan Yin in front of me.  I didn’t hear voices, but I knew that something important had happened.

Later in the week, I would realize that Sanat Kumara was opening doors for me, but that I was also trying to pass through doors that He had not opened, always to my regret.  The experience on the massage table was a prelude to that realization.

During a recent visit to Yogurt World with some friends, we discovered a poster taped to the wall. “Mystery School. It’s always darkest before the dawn. But you can make the sun rise in your mind anytime you want.” We were intrigued, and the four of us decided that we would go. We found Mystery School’s website and learned about what it taught – something called Western Mysticism that was all about the path to enlightenment. Seminars promised jokes! live discussion! meditation! and magic!

Well, the day of Mystery School finally arrives, and (big surprise!) Josh and I end up being the only ones who actually go. The event was located about twenty minutes away at a Del Mar Marriott. But we got lost three times, which made us ten minutes late. When we entered the hotel we saw a sign “Mystery School – Down the stairs”. So away we went.

We got to the end of a hallway and suddenly began to hear loud, creepy music. We started to get scared and argued about turning back, but before we could reach a decision, a man in a black-suit with an earpiece stepped out from an adjoining hallway. “Mystery School?” He asked. We nodded, and he motioned us a group of other late-comers waiting in front of the door. The music was much louder, and there were several other black-suited, ear pieced people hanging around. Some people will sitting on the ground meditating.

Finally, the song ended (which I identified as The Who’s “Reign O’er Me”, which is fairly intense when played at epic volumes (on a side note, Pete Townshend would have totally been into Mystery School)). The man at the door said into his earpiece, “Eleven coming in”. He opened the door, and all the late-comers were issued in. We found seats in the back. The room was packed. At least 100 people. As we sat, we noticed that there were more black-suit, ear piece people stationed at every door the ballroom had. The one near us paced back and forth.

A woman was speaking. We missed her introduction but it seemed that she was the leader, the teacher. When we came in she was just talking about the previous events (this had been going on nightly for the past week). She seemed nice. She was funny. And she cursed! A lot! A spiritual leader who curses? Cool! It seemed like it would be an interesting night. And then she said, “Let’s talk about Jesus.” Josh and I exchanged a look and tried to keep from bursting out laughing. (In her defense, she was talking about Jesus as an enlightened figure and because it’s near Christmas. She talked abut some other enlightened beings too. (She even felt one’s presence in the room at one point!))

She went on to tell us lots about Jesus. He was sexy! She told us that he wasn’t some emaciated little man, he was “beefy”! And he had sex with tons of girls. He “got shit done”. And she should know. She’s studied with him.

Finally it was time to mediate. She told us to focus on our heart chakra. I’ve never really mediated, but I understand that it’s meant to be peaceful and rather quiet. And that’s why I was confused when her music choice was heavy metal. A few times I thought, “Hey! I’m doing it! I’m meditating!” But then I realized that I was just falling asleep.

After the mediation, she spoke some more. Then we mediated again (this time to rain forest sounds). At the end of the meditation, she stood up, announced a break, started to play Christmas carols, and escorted by a black-suit, earpiece man left the room. Josh and I took this opportunity to run quickly back to the car. We checked the time: we had been at Mystery School for two hours.

In the car we debriefed and deiced that all in all, it was pretty freaky. Mediation is good. Cursing spiritual leaders are good. But were all those security people necessary? Hey, at least we tried it. Direct quote from Josh Lin: “In the last mediation I swear I felt my hand’s start to float. That shit’s not right.”

So even though we might not become as enlightened as sexy Jesus, at least you can’t say that we’re not open-minded.

The author of this book is better known for her fictional work, in particular The Wraeththu Chronicles and Grigori books. When I was offered the chance to review this book I was excited at the thought that someone who is such a well known author in a different genre was also writing on the subject of magick and paganism, without hiding behind a pseudonymn or doing so in a super plastic way. This book is nothing of the kind, throughout it shows deep understanding and plenty of experience of ritual and magick which the author obviously holds.

I found the book a good and interesting read. For me personally Reiki and Sekhem holds very little appeal, however the way in which the author combines her knowledge of this system with that of Egyptian ritual, Goddess mysteries and Egyptian magick (Heka) combines into a surprisingly usuable and workable system. The workings are all aimed at self development and healing, which would therefore also appeal to a larger audience of people who are interested in using ceremony and healing energies for such ends. This is by no means a historical representation of Egyptian ceremonies (if that is what you want, check out “Heka” by Rankine, Avalonia, 2006) – but the rituals given do certainly draw from historical sources.

Sekhem Heka provides an interesting seven tiered degree system based on Egyptian symbols and hieroglypics, it is aimed at energy healers and workers as well as those who are practising magick in different systems. I can see this system benefiting those who are looking for an alternative to the various pagan traditions which often don’t fulfil the need for spiritual growth and development in the same way as a mystery school. Recommended, without a doubt.

Getting to Know Me

My husband, Jim & I enjoy talking about things that increase the quality of our life. It was heartbreaking & frustrating to see people dying from poor dietary/nutritional habits that we (my husband & I) could have helped them change or taught about or whatever. And people got downright angry whenever we offered a suggestion. My husband, Jim & I have first hand experience on what worked & didn’t work for us plus we’ve done alot of research on nutrition. That is why I became a Nutritional Specialist, so I can learn the truth for myself & my training has been a big benefit for my family.

To give you a little bit of my background. I’m a Nutritional Specialist. And a Minister ordained by the Universal Life Church & Monastery. My “official” title is Reverend Mother. I like it better when people just refer to me as “Mother”, the title seems to be much easier on people.

I can help guide you on how to help yourself balance all four areas of health; mentally, physically, emotionally, & spiritually. I have a lot of life experiences I’ve personally been through that is a very helpful tool as far as insight goes. Been there, done that sort of thing. Psychology is also required when you become a minister to help council married couples etc. It is required by law now days that if a minister is to council children & adults, he/she must have a BA in psychology at least. A Ph.D. is very beneficial.

I also have a Doctorate in Metaphysics. Not many ministers take this kind of course, most usually take religious studies. I for one am not your typical minister. Anything but typical. Ask my husband, Jim. He’ll tell you. He has plenty of stories. God bless him! LOL…

You see, I don’t believe in Spiritual Abuse of Leadership that is going on in a lot of churches—too much politics & I’ve been to a lot of them. Methodist, Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Christian, etc. even a deep Southern Baptist Church.

I’m very immersed culturally as well. So, I’m very open-minded! And a good listener. I feel churches are more political now than God-centered. That’s why I retired working for a church & decided to start a home church fellowship. Notice the word “fellowship.” I believe in equality.

You see the Home Church Fellowship is non-denominational & we are making an effort to accommodate Christians of many backgrounds. The Home Church Fellowship is an attempt to get away from the institutional church, seeking instead to return to the small gatherings of people that constituted all of the churches of the New Testament era.
The emphasis is not to criticize the institutional church, but rather to lift up its alternative. Jesus said where two or more are gathered, there I am also. This is a church without expense except for the Sunday treats after service, but we bring whatever we want to the table; we take turns.

My favorite sayings: “Meeting in His name anytime, anywhere we choose.” “Our God does not dwell in temples made by hands.” “This is a fellowship for the INTERCHANGE of ideas. A source for clear teachings of Jesus.” “Home Church, not just for China anymore.” Not that I actually use these sayings anywhere. I just like to be quippy. LOL…

We discuss practical tips that apply to everyday life. In all honesty, no one will find this kind of interchange anywhere else nor this in-depth wealth of God Conscious knowledge in balancing all four areas of health (which are practical steps for ascending back to God). This knowledge used to be called the knowledge of the ancients or the heavenly mystery school teachings. Alot of Pastors, Ministers, etc that come out of seminary may not yet have a full grasp of the teachings of Jesus. The Bible has alot of contradictions. So far, I have 31 pages worth.

I’ve been a seeker of God since as far back as I can remember. I’ve looked outside the box, you can say. The fact remains that the Bible was written by man, not God. I haven’t explained the story of Enoch to you yet. Give me time with posting that because there’s alot of ground to cover on the origins of evil & how the fallen angels were technologically advanced etc. & how they appointed themselves as our leaders called “gods.” They are the ones in whom have enslaved us in the past, but I’ll go into more details about that later. I will put this in the nicest way I can without sounding egotistical, I hope! When it comes to the Bible, I can tell which scriptures refer to demi-gods & the one & only real God (our Father, Prime Creator).

In the near future posts/blogs, I will be covering alot of ground on how to ascend back to God. So, there are alot of steps & information to learn & apply in your journey back to God.

Gdy w 1921r. dr Miako Usui udał się na górę Kurama (niektórzy z badaczy jego życia twierdzą jednak, iż miało to miejsce w 1914r.), po 21 dniowym poście wypełnionym medytacjami doświadczył inicjacji potężną boską energią. Tak rozpoczęła się historia Reiki.

Od roku 1922r. rozpoczął upowszechnianie opracowanego przez siebie systemu uzdrawiania Boską Energią – Usui Reiki Ryoho (z jap. “System Uzdrawiania Uniwersalną Energią Życia Usui”). W ciągu czterech następnych lat swego życia dr Mikao Usui inicjował ponad 2 tyś. osób w Reiki. W tym ponad 20 nauczycieli. Jeszcze za swego życia powołał on Stowarzyszenie Metody Uzdrawiania Usui – Usui ReiKi Ryoho Gakkai.

Jednym z mistrzów, których inicjował dr Mikao Usui był Chujiro Hayashi. Hayashi starał się nadać systemowi ReiKi bardziej formalną strukturę. Usuną on również w swojej szkole ezoteryczne nauki buddyjskie, które przekazywał Usui. Być może, to było powodem jego odejścia z Gakkai w 1931 roku. Założył on własną klinikę i szkołę ReiKi pod nazwą Hayashi ReiKi Kenkyukai.

Z kolei Chujiro Hayashi w 1938r. inicjował na mistrza panią Hawayo Takata, która rozpoczęła nauczanie ReiKi w USA pod nazwą Usui Shiki Ryoho. Inicjowała Ona na mistrzów 22 osoby, w tym Barbare Weber-Rey, która wprowadziła do systemu nauczania dodatkowy stopień – 2 stopień specjalistyczny – wszystkie wcześniej wymienione szkoły nauczają w systemie trzystopniowym, bez dodatkowego stopnia specjalistycznego.

Po śmierci pani Hawayo Takata w 1980r. Wiosną 1982 roku jej wnuczka pani Phyllis Lei Furumoto powołała towarzystwo The Reiki Alliance. Jednak w spotkaniu założycielskim nie brała udziału p. Barbare Weber-Rey, nie uznała Ona również przywództwa Phyllis Lei Furumoto, która została wybrana na następczynię Hawayo Takata. Barbare Weber-Rey założyła w 1982r. American International Reiki Association ins (AIRA), organizację propagującą zachodni model Reiki. Pani Weber-Rey nie uznała również ustalonej przez The Reiki Alliance stawki za stopień mistrzowski w wysokości 10000$ i zezwoliła swym uczniom na samodzielne ustalanie stawki za incjacje na wszystkie stopnie. Od tego czasu system ten zaczął rozwijać się bardzo szybko w USA skąd trafił do Europy i Polski.

Obecnie wielu mistrzów używa do określenia swojej linii przekazu nazwy Usui ReiKi Ryoho i jest to błędne nazewnictwo, gdyż nazwa ta określa system stworzony przez dr Usui, który przekazywany jest przez jego stowarzyszenie – Usui ReiKi Ryoho Gakkai. Również używanie nazwy Usui Shiki Ryoho jest niejako błędne, ponieważ określenie to tyczy się linii sukcesji od pani Hawayo Takata, w której występują tylko trzy stopnie, a nie jak w systemie Barbare Weber-Rey cztery. Choć użycie nazwy Usui Shiki Ryoho jest bardziej prawidłowe dla linii sukcesji od pani Barbare Weber-Rey, niż nazwy Usui ReiKi Ryoho.

Oddzielną historię w historii Reiki tworzy tzw. Reiki Seichim (Renegade Reiki – Reiki Renegatów), którego twórcą jest Patrick Zeigler. System ten występujące również pod wieloma innymi nazwami m. in. Sekhem, Mystery School, Isis Seichim. Seichim Anielskie, Reiki Anielskie, Reiki Egipskie itp., które to nazwy określają różne od siebie szkoły, choć różnice te są minimalne, tworzone przez kolejnych”wielkich mistrzów” tego systemu.

Energia Sekhem jaka jest wykorzystywana w tym systemie jest opisywana jako mocniejsza od Reiki, korzystająca z wyższego rezerwuaru energii niż energia reiki, dzięki czemu, jak opisuje to Cezary Kuligowski w swej książce “SeKHeM Wyzwolona Metoda Pracy z Energią”, “Doświadczenie terapeutów jest jednoznaczne: to, co wymagało kilku zabiegów Reiki, często załatwiane jest jedną, dobrą sesją SKHM.”

Szczerze, nie myślałem że istnieje jakiś ‘rezerwuar energii’, która jest potężniejsza od energii reiki, nie myślałem w ogóle, że istnieje jakikolwiek rezerwuar energii reiki. Reiki jako energia boska pochodzi bezpośrednio od Boga i jako tako nie istnieje jej “rezerwuar”, gdyż jej źródło jest niewyczerpalne.

Więc czym zatem jest energia sekhem?
Jest to energia bogini Sekhmet – bogini lwicy z panteonu egipskiego – która istnieje w astralu. Podczas incjacji w tym systemie, którą dokonują rzekomo anioły, następuje otwarcie kanału przepływu energii do bogini Sekhmet i aby to uczynić wpierw otwiera się kanał astralny, przez który z łatwością przenikają duchy. Stosowanie tej energii na początku może rzeczywiście wyglądać jak symbioza, ale później przechodzi ów związek w pasożytowanie na inicjowanym w system SKHM (lub innym podobnym, patrz lista wyżej) przez boginię Sekhmet i inne byty astralne. Dla tego częstym zjawiskiem wśród incjowanych jest opętanie. Sam autor tej metody jest opętany, co mówi samo za siebie.

Od roku 1982, kiedy to powołano The Reiki Alliance i American International Reiki Association ins (AIRA), a od 1984r. również Reiki Seichim, na całym świecie powstało ponad 80 różnych szkół pracy z energią używających w swych nazwach słowa Reiki lub od Reiki wywodzących swe korzenie. Wielu uzdrowicieli (szczególnie na zachodzie, dużo mniej w Polsce) szczyci się posiadaniem licznych stopni przeróżnych systemów pracy z energią. Jednak czy jest to ta sama boska energia? Moim zdaniem nie bardzo, ale skoro inni są zachłanni na wiedzę i moc mistrza i są w stanie zapłacić za to wysoką cenę, nawet bardzo wysoką (taką jak opętanie), to niech płacą. Coraz większą zdolność do przekazu energii Reiki, adept Reiki, zyskuje dzięki medytacji i codziennej pracy z energią. Natomiast ciągłe mnożenie stopni i symboli wydaje mi się tylko uszczuplaniem portfeli naiwniaków, ale skoro jest popyt znajdzie się i podaż.
