started to dress your avatar, basing your outfit on a central piece (let’s say, um, overalls) and you can’t quite get it just right and so you change your shirt, shoes, accessories, hair, skin, eyes, AO, everything… cuz, something is a bit off and you can’t quite place your finger on it… and then, you finally get your look to a point you think looks pretty damn snazzy and then you walk around like that with every intent of blogging it but then you’re slammed with IMs when you’re trying to take pictures and then there’s a hair sale that you can’t miss and of course, you have to go to the skin fair on opening day and so you give up on that entirely until another time and when, finally, it’s three days later, you have some time to put it all together and then, you realize you’re just SICK of looking at yourself?

Diese Tage wird die Wehrpflichtdebatte, die aufgrund der Verkürzung von 9 auf 6 Monate Wehrdienst aufflammte, durch den NATO-Bericht über die Tanklasterbombardierung bei Kunduz überschattet. Letzte Woche hatte der Generalinspekteur der Bundeswehr, Wolfgang Schneiderhan, seine Interpretation des Berichts veröffentlicht (Link zur Stellungnahme beim BMVg-Portal, Textsiehe Anhang am Ende dieses Eintrags). Dabei war Schneiderhan zu dem Schluss gekommen, Oberst Georg Klein hätte militärisch angemessen gehandelt. Nachdem der Bericht den Fraktionsvorsitzenden des Bundestags nun zur Einsicht vorgelegt worden war und nach und nach mehr Details an die Öffentlichkeit gelangen, verkündete ein Sprecher des BMVg, der Minister werde eine eigene Einschätzung des Berichts liefern.

Die Leipziger Volkszeitung und die Mitteldeutsche Zeitung gehen heute davon aus, dass es sehr wahrscheinlich zu einem Verfahren wegen fahrlässiger Tötung gegen Oberst Klein kommen wird. Mittlerweile scheint festzustehen, dass sich Klein nicht an die Einsatzregeln gehalten habe und selbst nach fünfmaliger Rückfrage der Piloten hätte er auf dem Luftangriff bestanden.

Was mich jedoch interessiert: Wieso gibt der GI eine Stellungnahme ab und der Minister veröffentlicht demnächst seine eigene Einschätzung? Wurde der höchste General “vorgeschickt”, um zu sehen, wie Medien und Öffentlichkeit auf eine Interpretation reagieren, die Klein entlastet? Soweit ich weiß, soll doch der Generalinspekteur den Verteidigungsminister beraten und ihm zur Seite stehen. Dann ist es schwierig, wieso es jetzt eine neue Einschätzung (durch zu Guttenberg) geben soll. Oder besser: Wieso hat es eine maßgeblich falsche Interpretation durch den GI gegeben. In seiner Stellungnahme betont der GI ja, dass es sich um seine eigene Sicht handele.

Generalinspekteur und Verteidigungsminister müssen ja nicht zwangsläufig ein und derselben Meinung sein. Da wo sich Jung ohne wenn und aber hinter den Oberst gestellt hatte, scheint zu Guttenberg nun seine Führungsaufgabe wahrzunehmen und bei Bedarf auch eine eigene Ansicht zu haben und zu kommunizieren (bei sueddeutsche.de kam man gerade zum selben Schluss). Zu Guttenberg hält sich zur Zeit mit öffentlichen Aussagen ja noch stark zurück. Ich vermute mal, dass der Minister und sein Generalinspekteur in Zukunft nicht unbedingt denselben Standpunkt vertreten werden.

Nachtrag:

Dementi aus dem BMVg (bzw. aus dem Umfeld des Verteidigungsministers). Zu Guttenberg will sich anscheinend nicht vom GI distanzieren und den Luftangriff weiterhin als “militärisch angemessen” bezeichnen. Spiegel Online berichtet.

There looks like there’s trending fading in and out of the UK Scene recently. With some many artists caught wandering around in ‘Money Clothing’, it looks like there is another popular brand with these guys. This time, it’s the British street brand ‘The Ugly Kids Club’. Previously on Grime Garms you would have seen us do a quick article about Chip Diddy Chip in a UKC tee. Well, here he is in another, plus a few others as well:

First up with have Chipmunk himself (again). This time Chip is sporting the ‘Your Time’ tee. Like the other top he got caught wearing, this has also SOLD OUT very quickly! In white AND black. Bit of a disappointment as this is quite a nice shirt to be fair.

Alongside Chippy we have Kano promoting the brand. This tee that Kane is holding (someone tell him those glasses look waste on him, please – Ben) is an INSTORE EXCLUSIVE! So there’s no point scouting the internet to find it, because you simply won’t. If you want this tee, head down to the pop-up store in Camden Town. Maxwell D, remember him? Pay As You Go? Once rollin’ with Wiley…No? Well nowadays I think Maxwell D has moved more onto the UK Funky scene to make ends meet. Anyway, we have Maxwell here modelling the ‘Wild West’ tee in purple. Other colours are available if you don’t fancy purple. The ‘Wild West’ tee is available here.

Moving onto the UK Hip-Hop/Rap scene [we don’t JUST do Grime], we have Skinnyman. Recently, being ever present like Chipmunk on Grime Garms. Skinnyman has also featured in our ‘Money, Money, Money…’ article. Just like Chipmunk did in the previous article, Skinnyman is wearing ‘UCK Rizla’ tee. Which sadly, is also sold out. Once these tops are gone, THEY ARE OUTTAHERRRRRRRE!

And it’s not just the males within the UK Scene who like The Ugly Kids, no. Mz Bratt? (Ms? Miss? She’s the female version of P.Diddy with her name…) has also taken a keen interest in the brand. It seems this top has also been and gone sadly. We’ll get in contact with UKC and make sure we get the info asap about new releases!

Im 4. Semester des Studiums der Angewandten Informatik war es meinen Kommilitonen und mir möglich ein für uns besonderes Projekt auf die Beine zu stellen. Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung »Digitale Fotografie« durften wir an unserem Fachbereich eine eigene kleine Ausstellung gestalten.

Das Interesse für die Fotografie war speziell in unserer kleinen Gruppe von Medieninformatikstudenten kurz zuvor ausgebrochen und konnte somit vollends ausgelebt werden. Da wir gerademal als laienhafte Amateure bezeichnet werden konnten waren wir besonders stolz, dass unsere Ausstellung ein für uns doch recht großer Erfolg wurde. Zu Beginn war die Ausstellung nämlich keineswegs geplant. Sie erwuchs quasi mit der Zeit aus unserer Arbeit heraus. Dies ging soweit, dass sowohl der lokale Fernsehsender, als auch die Zeitung zur Eröffnung anwesend waren.

I kept on finding great excuses to buy new shoes: I’d started a new job; that job required closed-toe shoes; I probably needed these shoes in many different styles and colors; and then we decided to have Capri Fridays! It was Janet’s idea and, of course, I went along with it. This also meant that I now needed cute, casual sneakers to wear each week. The collection slowly started to grow: a fluorescent green pair of Diesel sneakers, a black pair of Pumas, brown, rugged J-41s.

I loved Capri Fridays and needed to share that love with others I worked with so on Thursdays, I would go around telling women (because I don’t live in Europe so no men were included, sorry) to wear their capris the next day.

I told Cindy and she just stared at me, thinking, “Why would I take style advice from you? You have fluorescent green shoes.”

I told Tammi. She laughed and replied, “I’m too white to show any part of my legs at work.”

“That doesn’t stop me,” I retorted, but my argument was futile.

I told Mzia and she said, “Okay!”

And then one day Janet left the company. It ruined Capri Fridays. Nobody around here even remembers that we once had them.

Probably because they really only existed in my world, with Janet playing along and once, several years ago, Mzia also wore her capris on a Friday.

Kind of like how nobody takes a Diet Coke Break now or excuses themselves to use the middle stall.

So instead, I tried to instigate High Five Fridays!

Hacen notar que son chapines, incluso en los restaurantes y cafes implementan tela tipica y objetos distintivos de Guatemala para decoracion.

De la creatividad de Saul e mendez, nace tambien MZ, frente a la nueva generación de jóvenes que quieren identificarse con la moda de forma integral.

Es una de las empresas mas innovadoras de Guatemala , por lo mismo estan en el “hall of fame” de marketing en Guatemala ,y a mi criterio, Saul E. Mendez es de las mas originales al mismo tiempo.

In this post I did a cross of a couple of my favorite memories.  As a child I often spent summers heading to horseback riding stables around the east coast riding with my father and sister.  I was really excited when a few weeks ago Suri C. had offered me ‘Toby’ her pet horse (with 4 poses included) to use in one of my posts!

Užas i katastrofa – upravo tim riječima bi se moglo opisati stanje koje je zabilježeno na rijeci Turiji (opština Lukavac).

Slika koja se u posljednje vrijeme često ponavlja zbog ispuštanja otpadnih voda Rudnika Banovići (vjerovatno separacija) dovela je do velikog zagađenja rijeke Turije i jezera Modrac te pomora ribe.

Nadležni organi na kantonalnom nivou, inspekcija i druge institucije ne poduzimaju ništa da se ova situacija zaustavi. Uzalud su apeli ekologa, stanovnika MZ uz rijeku Turiju i jezero Modrac, sportsko-ribolovnih društava i drugih zabrinutih građana.

Konkretne mjere su prijeko potrebne! U protivnom i u Rudniku Banovići i drugim zagađivačima rijeke Turije i jezera Modrac će biti nastavljena ista praksa koja će dovesti do velike ekološke katastrofe.

Hey everyone! Here I am again to share my look for the day, and since geek is the new hot, and having Comicon in San Francisco next month, I decided to go Geeky for today’s post.

What every geek must have is geek glasses, with some tape, of course! I found this amazing glasses at Undo’s store, SHADE THRONE… lots of glasses and accessories there!

I am wearing what will be one of the best-seller hairs in the Hair Fair 09 (starting tomorrow!): a.C STD Jajay Hair! As you can see, the color tip is scripted and the design is fabulous, this hair is already getting a lot of buzz in flickr and the feeds. Oh! And pay attention to the ‘CheerNo’ one once you visit a.C Store stand. It’s even better! By the way, the skin I am wearing is a.C STD Venus Summer, available soon!

The Lookr jacket is one of their last male releases: the design is really different from what we are used to see in male jackets, and the sculpted collar fits perfectly the layer. A really sexy relelase, also available in Black, Blue, Brown, Dark Blue and White, but I decided to go Red, to fullfil the Spidey spirit I wanted to give to this look, thanks to the awesome Spiderman Ice Cream from Reek and the cool Spiderman Tattoo I found at Lucky Inc. with the lovely Tomoyo.

To finish the look, I am wearing these pants I bought at anuenue, which I trully believe are for women – thanks for letting me inspect your prims, Madi xD – and the Tartan Boots I got at M’zs, thanks to moddish, who is always exploring the craziest sims and stalking the weirdest lucky chairs!
