Some nights are just mend to be.
I logged in on this talented grid called Second Life,
and got a tp to The Vibe HQ.

The Vibe is a venue that i really like.
Bratt Lunasea has some good taste of music and has created a great
place to enjoy some of the finest musicians on SL.

/me salutes Bratt.

I dropped in during a Fyrm gig,
an artist ~as you allready know~ that i admire and respect.
Fyrm is an example of a true artist.
Putting down his usuall amazing set of orginals and suprising covers.

We all could stay at The Vibe, because Bratt had created a great night for us
Nad Gough was the next artist on the bill.

I saw Nad before, but was caught up in some work at that time.
And it is not fair to write something if you only listen with one ear.
I looked for a website but couldnt find one,
if he has then let me know and i add the link to my list of SL Musicians.

Nad has a love for songs of the sixtisch
and it seems to me he is playing music for a long time.
But he doesnt just copy the songs.

The backings he made gives the songs a personal touch,
he finished his set with Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars for example,
a song that is played a lot on SL.
But not the way Nad does it,
he completly changed the arrangement and added new parts.

Nice work mister !

He is a real entertainer on stage, his speaking voice is hypnotising for me
dark and low with a raw-scraping edge of cigars and too mutch whisky
( not sure about that, but it looked nice when i wrote it down )

But when he sings, the voice seems to change a bit

I love that mumbling he does …… and stuff.
Nad comes with a particle show run by Jodi Perkins,
so turn your vieuwer to midnight for the best vieuw.
He sang a new written version of
John Fred And His Playboy Band : Judy In Disguise,
turned it in Jody in Disguise with lyrics that can not be mentioned again ~winks~

Nad is great fun, it looks like some strange guy hopped on stage,
mubling a bit, playing old songs, throwing around with particles
but underneath you can see an artist that knows what he is doing,
an artists that loves music and knows how to play it.
So scan that Event List and pay him a visit, you won’t regret it.

After that it was time to turn the Universe upside down again
The Born Again pagans where in the house.

You can’t stop them, the Universe tried it last night but failed.
Problems with the stream to begin with, but Hexx and Madame sorted that out.
They started with Alll along the watch tower, and again a brilliant version.

The Universe said, ok its enough, and messed with the equipment.
I bet the studio of Hexx and Madame was filled with lightning
and smoke coming out of the instruments and loopers.

They sacrified a newbee to the almighty Lindens and just continued.
Finishing the set with a sensitive version of Bob Marley’s Redemption Song.

~some serious things now~

Despite the problems they had, Hexx and Madame managed to lay down
their dangerous set again. They challenge music with their way of looping
and creating music on the fly, dangerous to do but i bet it is a great feeling
for them when they hear that things fall in their place.

If you are up for a challenge, love to hear some risky buisness
then you might want to check them out.

Bratt sure knows how to book a night, cause after Fyrm, Nad and Hexx
he had Joaquin on the bill.

I love Joaquin, one of the most talented guitar players on SL.
He play’s smooth jazz, rock, tango, milonga, candombe and lots of other things.
Yesterday he even sang a song ~smile~

He has his own unique style, you won’t find another player on SL
that does what Joa does, and he is a friendly-warm person.
To me it seems he is only interested in playing music for his fans.

so my friend, open that search and start hopping !!!
