Moshimo Negai ga… is Nami Tamaki’s 18th single and it was released on October 14th, 2009. This single charted at #20 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and it has sold 3,408 copies.

Third time’s the charm for Nami Tamaki, since I LOOOOOVE Moshimo Negai ga…. Since she’s switched, her songs have had a little R&B ting that I’ve noticed throughout her recent singles. Well, this track is full blown rhythm and beats. Not only is it her best song so far, but her vocals also sound more refined and fit really well with this type of genre. Since it’s R&B, there’s various beats here and there, as well as a prominant use of piano. I’m wondering if she’ll try out new genres, go back to straight-up bubblegum, or go back to her Sony style. We may never know, since this year has been a rough one for her music (and my ears.)

Sukiya de ~Itoshii Hito e~ was produced by the hip-hop group ET-KING. The B-side is a little more light-hearted, but it still has an R&B style. that makes it really catchy. I like the chorus since it has a nice build up, and it’s really catchy with the male vocals (which I’m assuming are ET-KING.) It seems Nami is improving every single.

If you got the regular edition of the single, you got a second B-side which is a cover of MAGIC, originally by R&B singer Tina. I haven’t heard the original, but it’s safe to say that Tamaki did this song some justice since it’s really catchy. It’s the most westernized R&B song on the single, thanks to the loud synth.

I’m glad that Nami Tamaki’s music has been improving little by little since the label switch. It’s safe to say that Moshimo Negai ga… is her best A-side so far too. I’ve gotten over the fact that she’s not doing the dance oriented stuff anymore so I’m trying to approach her “new style” with an open mind now. As for this song, it has a nice production value that features a mid-tempo arrangement done with piano and light beats. There’s also some synth in the background as well.

The single includes 2 B-sides. The first one is Sukiya de ~Itoshii Hito e~ and it appears on all the editions. I thought this song was pretty good and it elaborates on the fluffy pop sound heard on some of the tracks from the Friends! single. I was a little turned off by the male vocals that show up during the chorus but they’re not too distracting.

The CD only edition has an exclusive track and it’s a cover of the song MAGIC (originally performed by Tina in 1999). It’s an upbeat track and has a lot of synth and beats. Like the first B-side, it has a polished sound that I thought was great.

Pros: Overall, her best Universal single yet.
Cons: Minor stuff. Don’t falter now, Nami!

BASICALLY…she’s off my shitlist! XD

1. Moshimo Negai ga…

I guess Nami got tired of those uber peppy songs because Nami goes and releases Moshimo Negai ga… which is an R&B track.  Now Nami has had a few experiences with this genre so it’s not surprising she’s come back down to this level.  Honestly, it’s her best A-side she’s had since changing labels.  You still hear synths and the such, but there’s this nice and calm feel to it that works.  Is Nami finally getting better?

2. Sukiya de ~Itoshii Hito e~

Yeah, Nami is actually doing her first answer song of her career.  It’s the answer song to ET-KING’s “Itoshii Hito e”.  It’s not surprising that we ended up with another ballad.  Instead of the synths underlying the arrangement like in “Moshimo Negai ga…”, Sukiya de has a strings-based arrangement (and even better than one of the members of ET-KING arranged this as well).  They are also in the song as well, mostly in the chorus and they sound iono….not into it?, I guess it’s because this is the original part that was kept here.  I do love Nami’s performance though, so I have to say this song is a definite upgrade.

3. MAGIC

Only available on the CD only version of the single, we get ANOTHER DAMN COVER SONG…This time from TINA, MAGIC is another one of the R&B tinted songs and while it has the most synths of the 3, I do think that it’s rather nice hearing this.  Now I haven’t heard the original version to compare it to, but there’s something interesting about this.  I did like how she said ~it’s magic~ before the chorus.  Hmmm, it does remind me that I miss her fast songs….I wish she returned to that…

Nami’s 3rd UNIVERSAL-J single, Moshimo Negai ga… wasn’t too bad and is her best single so far.  I am noticing her career is going towards an R&B styled career and I’m definitely against it all the way.  She’s a whole lot better as a electronica or rock artist rather than urban.  I’ll have to agree that I do like Moshimo Negai ga… is a nice ballad.  Sukiya de was a nice answer track and MAGIC was of course a good cover….Reminds me, isn’t it time that Nami releases a cover album obviously???

The cover art was MUCH better then the ones on the past two releases. Plus, there’s not a huge majority the usual dull-white color all around her and now, her real beauty is shown! Great change!

Prayer turns out to be (another) dance track which is still addicting and powerful! I’m digging that explosive and energetic feeling that she never fails to successfully deliver to her audiences!

Another try at rock? real dreaM makes a huge improvement since her first attempt all the way back in her Believe single. At least this time, there’s beats in the background.

Yes, there’s also another ballad. NEVER STOP MY HEART -Kimi to iu Kiseki ni- also has a taste of R&B but at least it more memorable then the B-sides back in Realize.

The one thing about new artists is that they don’t have a speific genre that they know that they’re good at when the first start out. That’s the same with Nami. P.S. Is it always going to be one A-side and two B-sides?

Looks like Sony Music Japan finally changed the look of the cover art. (Her white hair of believe was bothering me a little bit.) The cover still isn’t really appealing for the eyes. There’s too much white and it’s almost impossible to see the text!

Realize is the runner up from the 3rd Gundam Seed opening, Believe. At least their next opening song sounds more catchy but with a more positive mood since the series has just reached its most critical point in the story line. Regardless, her vocals still amazes me to the maximum and the arrangement is still very catchy.

Finally! A Summer song! (Urm…it’s fall right now…) Anyways, the tone of her vocals in Hot Summer Day explains it all. Nami has obviously just came from vacation and is doing an awesome job expressing it through lyrics.

Ashita no Kimi was probably one of the most weakest of her B-sides in the Greeting era since it’s Nami’s first try at ballads. Well, nice try though.

This very hot, harajuku looking chick on the cover is indeed Nami Tamaki back when she was fifteen years old! I digress, I used to be a fan of Nami ever since I watched Gundam Seed. (Yes, I’m a Gundam fan too and have been watching the older series too.) The one fact that is very hard to believe, Nami started singing at a very young age! Even younger then when Jyongri started out!

One word for Believe: Wow. Her vocals were skillfully manipulated and the fact paced synchs and dance elements totally blew me away! I couldn’t honestly believe that this girl was only fifteen. (And if you watch the actual opening theme of Gundam Seed, you would be amazed on how the song could really suit the mood of the series; especially since the plot was really building up around the third opening.)

Nami tries her stab at rock-oriented music with Complete which wasn’t exactly what it should have turned out to be. Her vocals are still strong here.

At least Can you feel my love was better than Complete! Now trying out a Hikki-like R&B track, Nami would actually do a better job with R&B than rock songs. A great listen but definitely B-side material.

Here it is.  Nami’s Moshimo Negai ga… pv.  Enjoy.  Remember, this single comes out Oct 14 in three editions.

Song review: I think everybody was unhappy with the direction Nami was going in.  But if this song is any indication, she’s still got the same fire she had when she was with Sony.  This song has nice piano accompanied with soft synths.  Then the chorus focuses more on synth but keeps the feeling of the song intact.  Nami’s vocals also go back to what they once were, which makes this even more perfect.  As a whole, this single outshines the previous two and even comes as more R&B in my opinion.  Great song.

I have a lot of light to shine on some things so lets get to it:

abingdon boys school have announced that a new song “From Dusk Till Dawn” will be used as the ED theme for the new Darker than Black series, so new single on the way and the album so far away (hopefully early 2010).

Speaking of Darker than Black, Stereopony’s new single “Tsukiakari no Michi Shirube” will be used as the OP theme and is set for release in Nov 4.

Again speaking of anime, Lil’B will be releasing a new single titled “Tsunaida Te” on Nov 11 and is the ED theme for Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Sukima Switch’s “Golden Time Lover” is the OP theme coming out Oct 14.

SEAMO will be releasing a best of album titled “Best of SEAMO”.  It comes in three editions (Limited A and B, regular) and the main disc contains 16 tracks, including recently released “My ANSWER” and “Fukeiki Nante Buttobase!!”.

NICO Touches the Walls has announced a new single for a Nov 4 release.  The only thing that’s known about it is will be featured in a drama called “Bouchou Mania 09″.

Ken Hirai will have a song featured in a live movie called “Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu”.  The song is titled “Boku wa Kimi ni Koi wo Suru”.  Also, “Hitori janai” will be used as the ED theme for the animated “The Return of the Musketeers” that will air in Oct.  Expect these songs to be released in the near future.

FLOW is coming out with a compilation album titled “Coupling Collection” that will be featuring19 songs, 15 of which were chosen by votes from fans and is to be released Nov 4.

Shoko Nakagawa’s new single titled “Arigato no Egao” is set for Oct 14 and contains “rainbow forecast”, the theme song for the movie “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”.

Nami Tamaki will release her new single titled “Moshimo Negai ga…” on Oct 14 and is feature on the video game “Valhallla Knights” for Wii.

I liked the cover of the CD only edition the most since the other 2 are hot messes. She looks cute on this one. CD+DVD Type A’s cover just screams “These are my boobs! Boom boom!” while CD+DVD Type B’s has a cameo by Dogzilla.

I officially added Nami Tamaki to my shitlist after the atrocity that was GIVE ME UP, which was undoubtedly one of the worst singles of 2009 so far. It was such a huge downgrade from her awesome dance oriented songs prior to the label change and it just left me asking “What in the world happened?”. So you could easily tell how apprehensive I was when she released Friends!, ANOTHER cute pop tune.

Luckily, Friends! is not a rehash of GIVE ME UP, but more like an improved version of it. The song is bouncy synth pop but without being too annoying so that’s a plus. However, I thought it was one of the weaker songs on the single at the same time. That’s right…the B-sides are better! =O

There are 3 B-sides but they’re set up so that only one song is exclusive to each edition. I think that’s a terrible gimmick and it obviously didn’t work because this single flopped.
Anywho, the CD+DVD Type A edition includes Negai Hoshi, an upbeat song with some nice programming. I honestly liked 8-bit sound going on in the music but the song tends to drag near the end. My two personal favorite songs are found on the CD+DVD Type B and CD only editions. Happy Forever is an uplifting and catchy track while Mata ne is a mellow ballad. They are both quite nice and show that there is some hope if Tamaki is going to continue on with her current musical direction.

Pros: As a whole, this single is a hell of a lot better than GIVE ME UP. She’s improving!
Cons: Enough of the cutesy stuff already! It’s time for something more aggressive.

BASICALLY…approach the A-side with caution. The B-sides make up for it though.

Friends! is Nami Tamaki’s 17th single and it was released on July 29th, 2009. it reached #25 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and it has sold 3,632 copies.

Nami Tamaki hasn’t been doing so hot since she debuted on UNIVERSAL-J earlier this year. After GIVE ME UP, I was definitely ready to GIVE HER UP. (lame joke lol) Luckily, Friends! is a lot better than GIVE ME UP. Even though it’s not her usual trance style, and she still hasn’t ditched the bubblegum pop, this track is infinitely more catchy than the last one. But, she better get her act together fast, or she’ll more than likely lose lots of faithful fans. For now, though, this’ll do just fine.

Negai Hoshi is even better! Finally it’s not something extremely cute. Instead, it’s a chill club-like song that’s pretty catchy. Tamaki’s voice sound a lot better when it’s not forced to be cute. Even though this song was released digitally in June, it should’ve been the A-side, since it’s a lot better.

Even though the B-sides aren’t that great, they’re amazingly better than the crap ones on GIVE ME UP. Happy Forever is another cute pop song but this it’s toned down a lot, though it’s still kinda catchy.

Our final B-side is Mata ne, a bittersweet ballad. There aren’t many ballads in Tamaki’s career, so it’s nice that she does one every so often. Even though it’s a ballad, it’s still got a hint of pop in it, to fit with the rest of the single. I would’ve preferred a more orchestral ballad though, but this’ll do, for now.

Overall Grade:

Nami has a song titled “Moshimo Negai ga…” that will be tied in to a Wii game “Valhalla Knights : Eldar Saga”.  Although no release date is set, Moshimo Negai ga… is expected to be a single, so we’ll probably see this song on the market by year’s end.  I’ll update as soon as I get more info.

Oh this was the direction I was hoping Nami would’ve stayed away from completely.  After the catchy “GIVE ME UP”, Nami releases Friends! which ultimately sound like something H!P would drool over totally.  I’m actually not a big fan of the song despite it does have some catchy parts…like her ad-libbing.  I still feel that the lack of energy in the song really hurt it overall and gotta say….she’s going downhill from here.

2. Negai Hoshi

On the Type A version we get Negai Hoshi which was previously released as its own digital single, so it’s quite nice to see it on the single.  I actually think it’s one of her better tracks since her time on UNIVERSAL-J and that’s saying something.  I think the beat was pretty smooth and the synths did a good job.  I really don’t see the hate in th song as it’s so catchy arrangement wise and doesn’t have bubbly pop all over it. 

3. Happy Forever

Why does this sound like something that was ripped from the “greeting” album?  Besides the fact the arrangement has a more synthy drive, it sounds like something that would’ve fit right on her debut album.  Happy Forever is luckily a happy mid-tempo dance track and it’s a bit nicer than the B-sides off of “GIVE ME UP”.

4. Mata ne

Rounding off the Type C version of the single, Mata ne comes in as the ballad-y track.  There’s a piano melody going on and then there’s Nami who’s actually doing a way better job of singing than she did with “in my life”.  Actually this track brings memories of another track “Ashita no Kimi” back on her debut album but this was more fluid with the instruments that were included here.  Not too bad.

Nami’s 2nd UNIVERSAL-J single as a whole was a lot better than “GIVE ME UP”.  The glaring problem of the single was the A-side actually and really got me in a twist, listening to its bubblegun sound that I disliked.  Negai Hoshi and Mata ne are both nice tracks in the sound and feel that she was once known for, but maybe it’s still not enough.  Happy Forever was the lively happy tune and it’s good to listen to once in a while….She did better on this single IMO

O estilo de Nami Tamaki consiste de músicas com influências pop com batidas techno, criando um som similar ao do famoso cantor jpop T.M.Revolution. O PV de “Friends!” se passa em um supermercado, não gostei muito do clipe pois não tem muita variação e se você for ver as três sempre aparecem dançando no mesmo lugar, a música é mais ou menos, ja vi músicas melhores da Nami, dou nota 3/5.

La edición regular tendrá los temas Friends!, Negai Hoshi y la version instrumental de Friends!, además tendrá el tema Matane como bonus track; las versiones limitadas CD+DVD tendrán el PV de Friends!, y la versión limitada tipo B tiene un bonus track ‘Happy Forever’.

El video es horrible igual que el de Give Me up  ¬¬ pero ahora por lo menos me ha gustado la canción y por ahi dicen que muchos fans la criticaron por el video, y ella pidio disculpas en su blog, pero nosé la historia completa xDD y algo que me ha llamado la atención de las covers es que ya tenemos a una Tamaki más liberal!!

The pv for Friends! is finally out.  Check it out.  Don’t forget the single comes out July 29 and it includes Negai hoshi.

Aun no he visto el anime,  ni mucho menos he leido el manga, pero me parecio bastante divertida y linda.

Segun me han dicho va mas acorde al manga que al anime, pero ustedes sabran.

La película trata sobre dos jóvenes estudiantes, Risa y Otani, los dos están acomplejados por su tamaño.
Ella es muy alta comparada con la media japonesa, mide 1.70 y él es muy bajito comparado con los chicos de su edad, mide 1.59 metros.
Los dos se confiesan ante sus respectivos amores pero son rechazados por su altura, tras esto se encuentran en la misma clase y empiezan a congeniar.

Esta peliculatambien es conocida como LovCom, y debo decir que la hermana de la protagonista da miedo pero me encanta xDD, aunque el profesor que se supone que es el “guapo” no lo es xD.

Un punto en contra es la actriz Ema Fujisawa, estuve viendo mas sobre lovely complex y senti que le falto un poco para llegar a cubrir del todo el personaje de Risa, por otro lado quede ENAMORADA de Teppei Koike, nunca le habia prestado atención hasta ahora, y Oh Por Dios!!es hermoso,tierno, abarco totalmente el personaje de Otani, otros actores son la cantante Nami Tamaki, Risa Kudo,Hiro Mizushima, entre otros.

Bueno como es obvio el anime y la pelicula son del genero comedia romance, ya en otra ocasion les hablare del anime, ya que salen mas personajes y abarca mas historias.

El sountrack creo que realmente no hay uno en especifico haha, ya que salian varias canciones, incluso de Miono o.O, otra cosa es que les costo “agrandar” a laprotagonista xD, pero son detalles.

En fin una tierna pelicula, llena de exageraciones, un hermoso protagonista, una linda pareja protagonista, con mucha quimica, graciosos actores secundarios, todo en 100 minutos aprox.
