Yeah i just receive this BIG Package this morning before i went for work, didn’t have time to play with it until now (which is night time) here’s the pics : )

The only problem that i have now with the figure is that i have space to place it ! ! ! i was gonna place inside my display cabinet .. but to find out actually my figure is too big too put it in … hmm maybe i would take out of the Riot Blade (left handed) that would solve it.. but it sure will look weird ya.. hmm guess is time i get a much bigger display cabinet…. well i got 3 more Fate figures coming in:

Fate in school uniform, Fate in nedo form and Fate in the 1st Movie.. (cant wait to get it on hands) : )

When it comes to new music releases, apart from new sh-BANG from my [focus] groups BB, 2PM, 2NE1 & MBLAQ, I tend to be as slow as a turtle getting around the listening to new songs. But fear not, for I have a sister who’s right on the ball X ). So, last night she stuffed her earphones into my ear and got me to listen to After’s School’s new songs. Verdict: Stars from me! X)  These girls welcomed 2 new members into their midst not too long ago, and they subsequently released their 2nd single and sang two songs on Inkigayo, [When I fall] & [Because of You].

Belakangan ini, miki melihat sebuah perubahan yang saling bertolak belakang di dalam hubungan miki dengan dua teman miki. Kita sebut saja Nana dan Fafa (nama samaran).

Dahulu kala *plak!*, Nana dan Fafa adalah sepasang kekasih. Di mata miki, mereka terlihat akrab-akrab aja. Tapi ternyata, keduanya sama-sama curhat ke miki kalo masing-masing tiba-tiba lagi marahan. @,@ miki bingung banget, miki dijadiin keranjang curhat. Yah, tapi miki berusaha menjaga rahasia masing-masing–tapi mungkin rahasia itu sedikit demi sedikit akan terkuak gara-gara perubahan ini. Miki sedih sekali kalau tau miki gagal menyimpan rahasia karena kecerobohan miki.

Suatu ketika, Nana dan Fafa akhirnya mengakhiri hubungan mereka. Keduanya meminta maaf pada miki dan miki memaafkan mereka dengan lapang. Yah, sudah menjadi sifat dasar miki untuk mudah menerima maaf DENGAN berbagai pertimbangan.

Lalu, tibalah mereka pada perubahan itu.

Nana menemukan pengganti Fafa yang menurutnya jauh lebih baik daripada Fafa. Miki turut bersyukur karena ternyata memang benar adanya.

Kemudian Fafa malah “kepincut” sama adik miki dan menjadikannya pacar. Miki agak kaget sewaktu adik miki mengaku telah berpacaran dengan Fafa. Yah, lihat saja status adik miki yang masih kelas 3 SMA; padahal sebentar lagi dia akan menempuh ujian nasional dan ujian masuk perguruan tinggi. Kalau saja dia bisa menunjukkan prestasi baik di bidang akademi sih miki tak ambil pusing untuk menyetujui. Tapi masalahnya, adik miki tidak begitu.

Seiring berjalannya waktu, miki makin dekat dengan Nana yang dulu serasa seperti orang lain bagi miki. Sedangkan Fafa entah sejak kapan jadi terlihat menyebalkan di mata miki.

Dia menuntut main ke rumah miki lebih sering dari biasanya hanya untuk bertemu adik miki. Larangan mama untuk bertandang seminggu 2 kali diabaikannya. Bahkan dia mainnya sampai jam 11 malam terhitung dari ba’da ashar–padahal adik miki juga sudah tertidur. Betapa lihainya dia memperkuat hubungannya dengan mama. Memang, selama ini dia dekat dengan mama dan mama-lah orang yang menyetujui hubungan mereka. Sementara papa dan miki sama sekali tidak setuju.

Kemarin sore, miki sakit hati sekali melihat Fafa memperlihatkan tanda-tanda menjadikan adik miki miliknya. Sebenarnya sudah sejak lama sih, tapi kemarin itu puncaknya. Masalahnya cuma simple, Fafa membelikan burger untuk adik miki. Lalu dulu, sehabis ada festival juga Fafa hanya membelikan jajan untuk adik miki. Bukannya miki menuntut untuk dapat juga, tapi tindakan Fafa itu sedikit demi sedikit meruntuhkan hubungan saling berbagi di antara miki dan adik miki.

Terlihat jelas dari cara adik miki menghabiskan biskuit yang juga miki sukai. Sebenarnya mama membeli biskuit itu untuk simbah miki yang sedang sakit, tapi ternyata simbah miki tidak mau. Maka mama memberikannya untuk adik miki. Semua orang tahu kalau miki sangat suka biskuit itu, tapi adik miki menghabiskannya sendirian. Dia sama sekali tidak membagi biskuit itu pada miki.

Jadi pacar adik miki boleh saja, tapi jangan ganggu hubungan miki dengan adik miki dong! Fafa kan juga gag mau kalau hubungan Fafa dengan adik miki diganggu miki, kan?! DDD ;

Miki sebal sekali sama Fafa sekarang sampai miki mendiamkannya. Miki gag mau ngomong sama dia tadi malam. Mungkin kalau nanti dia datang lagi, miki akan langsung ambil jarak sama dia. Catat ya, sampai sekarang pun miki masih belum menyetujui mereka pacaran 100%. Bahkan kalau dia tetap bersikap begitu seperti yang miki jelaskan di atas, miki makin gag setuju.

This bullshit needs to end.

But at least I spent my Thanksgiving with my grandparents.  My grandfather was a surgeon, my nana is a nurse, and one of my aunts who was there is a doctor.  So within 20 minutes of arriving, there were rummaging through drawers and cabinets looking for medicine to give me and calling the pharmacy for more.  It’s great having relatives who can get you prescription drugs.

So I watched After School’s second comeback performance on Inkigayo, then I watched an early performance of AH. What’s changed? Well a lot.

1) I’m not feeling the same after school vibe. When the camera goes to Gahee, Jooyeon, Jungah and Bekah I feel it but then it dies. Looking at them as a collective feels as though it’s a new group, a different one. Maybe they just need to grow on me.

2) The vocal allocations. I mentioned it before but on this performance they sang When I Fall, a lovely song. However, the main vocal, Jungah was simply reduced to backup and Jooyeon was barely audible (to me at least). Raina has a good voice, but she needs to step back, her voice doesn’t have as much control and is prone to shouty, whiny notes. I hope Pledis don’t make her lead. They’ve changed enough already. I need to hear Nana more as well.

3) UEE. I tried to be nice yesterday but seriously she is a very weak member she needs a whole lot more training. She just doesn’t slot in with AS.

I know the new songs are a different feel from AH but even with that taken into consideration I can’t adjust. I’m a very traditional person band-wise, meaning I think 5 is a nice number, maybe 6 but 7 is pushing it. When So Young left she took a bit of them with her. I still like After School but I’m a fan of the 1st generation.

Le roman nous parle donc d’inégalités et d’injustices, de conditions de vies, de révolte…Dans la première partie de votre dissertation et selon des extraits du roman il faudra donc déterminer ces différentes situations…Le titre de Germinal choisit par l’auteur est en lui-même un mot républicain. Révolution industrielle, premières formes de syndicalisme feront également partis de votre ouvrage…

En conclusion, si Zola voyait le monde d’aujourd’hui, entre industries, capitalisme, crise économique,  ne pourrait il pas écrire un nouveau Germinal ?…

It sure is a good feeling to get back  to shore after you’ve done your duty on the platform . After working offshore for a month with only the ocean, drills and oil in your sites. What’s a man to do when he get’s to go back to shore? -  Hit the bars in a country with lots and lots of bargirls ! You want it, you asked for it.

Alot of guys that take leave in places like Thailand or the Philipines have girlfriends they’re supporting while their working  offshore. If they’re lucky they’ll find themselves an honest woman that will do their best to take care of them. – But what about the rest? Let’s admit it we aren’t exactly finding these girls in the best of places. I mean c’mon a street bar in a heavily touristed area, where there’s literally hundreds if not thousands of guys just like you walking around. You think these girls are innocent amateurs? No my man, they are seasoned professionals well versed in the art of pulling your heart strings and dollar bills.

So you think you’ve found the one and only girl you can ever be with, she says things you’ve never experienced back in your home country, and always knows the right things to say. It is time to get rid of the ancient, outdated concept of “if you read manga you become stupid” or to consider them mere commercial entertainment; of course a big share of them is made to sell, but even the most commercial titles do have artistic and cultural value.

Japanese should be proud of anime and manga, because they are very strong and unique means of expression, and a symbol of excellence for Japanese culture in the world.

So it’s pissing down outside,  I’m doing my daily rounds of checking my email, I’m buried in coursework and no matter how much I do it doesn’t seem to get any less. Gonna call it quits for today.

Anyway, my point = After School is back, kinda… they released their new single made up of  Because of You, When I Fall and Diva. Not only that they’ve come back with new hairstyles and colours and two new members. Yes that makes seven of them.

Let’s start with the music.

Produced by Brave Brothers, it has a dance-like beat, it’s very catchy and has good vocals, the rapping fits in well too.  I can see a contagious dance going well with this song. I like it but I’ll have to judge it after seeing it on stage.

When I Fall -

Very different from most mainstream korean songs you hear today and so far the most popular. It’s mellow and relaxing with a soft pop/r&b beat, I prefer it to because of you. Whoever is singing the chorus has a well fitting voice. I love the guitar background, the whole song sounds like it could be an OST for a film. Suits the time of year nicely. I hope they promote it and people appreciate it.

Diva - The same Diva from earlier in the year. I never took to this song very much, it was catchy but I prefered Ah a lot more.

The Look

I don’t think many people like it because it’s not sexy enough. A sexy group/person doesn’t have to be so flamboyant about it all the time. I find this look more mature and womanly. They don’t look like idol girls, they look rather sophistcated in a way. They still have an essence of sexy in my opinion. I like all their looks but they shouldn’t have cut Jung Ah’s hair so short (but I think it’s just the way they’ve styled it) and they could have done something to UEE to make her less… plain? I LOVE Bekah as a blonde. Very nice. They all look wonderful.

The new members

Raina - She has a very likable face, I’ve only seen one pre-debut video of her and her skills aren’t bad. I can’t recongnise her voice well enough to know where she sings in the new songs but she seems promising.

Nana - I haven’t seen any pre-debut work from her but I must say she is gorgeous. She too, has a likable face I can see her being the sexy but cheeky member.

UEE - Came during Diva but she is still new to me. I have NOTHING against her but I can’t take to her. I really don’t know why, I know before I didn’t like this one expression she gave off ALL the time, her somewhat complacent performances and the fact that when she came After School resulted to doing minor performances and went on a new music hiatus, all the while she was everywhere.  Maybe if I start to see her talents more I’ll begin to like her.  She is still very pretty.

Well let’s hope things work out for the girls. We needed a group to show all these others just who sets the standards.
