To order a changing pad or nap mat (there are 3 sizes) just go to http://www.peachycheeksbaby.com and click where it says Collection. If you want to see the differences in the three sizes, click on the “Sizes” tab near the top of the home page. Then find the photo of the one you want, click on “Quick Shop” or double click to see more pictures, and choose which size you want where it says size (there is a drop-down menu). Then if you want your item monogrammed check the box next to “Personalize this item”, and the thread color choices and the font choices will show up as drop-down menus, and you just click on the color and font of your choice. In the box where it says “Personalization” you type the name or initials you want to be monogrammed onto your changing pad or nap mat. To see examples of the fonts we offer, click on the “Personalization” tab near the top of the home page.
History of Peachy Cheeks Baby www.peachycheeksbaby.com About ten years ago my youngest daughter, Ma

History of Peachy Cheeks Baby

www.peachycheeksbaby.com

About ten years ago my youngest daughter, Mandy and I began making handbags and diaper bags. People loved our bags and we dreamed of owning a business together one day. I prayed for God’s guidance to show me when the time was right. Seven years ago both my daughters, Lauren and Mandy gave birth to my first two grandsons. Over the next two years they blessed me with two granddaughters.

I made each of my daughters a diaper bag, but I noticed the changing pads in the market did not meet their needs. They were poor in quality, unattractive and not comfortable for the babies. There was a gap in the market for a better alternative, and I wanted to fill it. I visualized a baby changing mat and made a prototype, which I still have. I would see moms and grandmothers in restaurants, bathrooms, etc. struggling to change their baby or toddler and I would think, “They need my baby changing mat.”

Over the next five years I perfected the pattern, searched for material that would be of the highest quality and the most adorable fabrics I could find. I had all the ingredients but one. The one ingredient that would make my product unequaled to any other product in the market. My sister, Wanda, was with me the day I found the last ingredient. We were so excited! Wanda has always been one of my biggest supporters.

I continued to pray for God’s guidance about starting this business. He began showing me opportunities starting with my son-in-law, Chris. He recommended a friend who is also a Trademark Attorney named Kate Strain. My husband, Bruce and I met with her, and she fell in love with my products. However, we had to come up with a trademark name first. Bruce and I went back to the hotel where we sat by the pool and discussed different names trying to find one we liked and that would best represent our product. I was picturing baby faces and how people love their cute little cheeks. I thought about an apple and Kate suggested I pick a different fruit. That is when I said, “What about Peachy Cheeks?” Everyone agreed that was it. This was the moment. One of the many important steps on the path I have worked so hard to get to.

It finally felt real.

Getting the trademark was the first big step. The next big step was Chris assisting me in setting up Peachy Cheeks as a LLC. Now my company was official! I gave my nephew and his wife one of my baby changing mats as a baby gift. A few months later they recommended a Marketing Firm called Blink Marketing & Design. Bruce and I made an appointment with Sheri at Blink and shortly after that decided to hire them to create our logo, build our website, and work with them throughout the lifetime of our business. Working with Sheri is enjoyable and enlightening.

My older daughter, Lauren, recommended a fabric company and helped me choose and place my first order of the charming collection that we offer. Mandy and I are again creating patterns and products that we hope will be a blessing to each and every one of our customers. God is so faithful.

This week I have felt the tension between us and our overly full calendar.

Jay, Corbin, and I are all exhausted–worn out from all of the activities we have. It’s weird to think my new full-time job will bring less exhaustion, but I think it will. It will be more structured than the part-time one I have now. It’s been so difficult to shuffle Corbin around because of my changing work schedule. Different people have to pick him up on different days, and I don’t like it.

Plus, I just found out that Dr Pepper has a fitness center on the bottom floor. What?! That may be the most exciting perk for me about working there…other than free Dr Pepper…and the discount I get on childcare. Nope. All the perks are awesome.

Today, I’m at work on my second-to-last work day. Everything’s really slow because our line of work (higher education work) is seasonal. Advising season, graduation season…all of those seasons bring work. However, week-bef0re-Spring-Break brings nada. So…this is what I’m doing right now.

I need to get all sorts of stuff ready for C’s childcare–shot records, copies of all sorts of documents, etc. And I need to make his nap mat! I really liked this one from Sew Like My Mom. I’d like it more if the pillow and blanket were attached. Walmart has this one. Jay thinks we should just buy it because I won’t have time to make one before C starts daycare in two weeks.

He may be right.

The child that is going to start middle school should have all the new range of gears that they love

The child that is going to start middle school should have all the new range of gears that they love. The new boots and cap and the different other sports gears are a must as they feel they have grown up. The new books for the new class and the new pens and pencils and the other stationery are also welcome and you must also check out the new kid backpacks that you must buy for them to carry all their books and stuff to the class. The whole group should be trying to get similar type of backpacks and so you must talk to your kid to find out his favorite caro\toon character or the painted picture he would love on the bag.

The kid backpacks are often of the same size for the middle school children who are going to be taking similar type of books for school. The backpacks should have bright colors and should be properly stitched with strong threads so that they do not come apart. The backpacks are to be strong for carrying all the goods and they should have strong and thick straps to carry the packs.

The kids often love to take the same type of packs for their gang and then it would be fun to buy the kid backpacks and then paint it with the motifs that they have for their group. The group will look similar with same logos or motifs or cartoon characters painted on the backpack. You will also be able to get a personalized backpack that may have the name of your kid written on them. These are good way to make the pack interesting for the kid but make sure the pack is not used to carry loads more than they should.

You can find your child getting tired easily when they are busy playing and then they need a quick nap for recharging their energy. The most effective way to get this is by using the nap mats that are small and comfortable. They are often colorful so that the child gets attracted to the quilt that is specially placed for him. The different types of these quilts are loved by the children and so they are being used by the schools or the play zone where the children play together with other children.

These favored rugs slowly become the main thing that they need while playing for it is easy to take rest while they are still not tucked in for their sleep. You will get these nap mats for them at eh stores that keep the goods for children and they are got to check out that they are soft throughout and the vinyl that are the base must not peep out. The slight tear on the mat may make them uncomfortable and so you must keep checking for the small nick at the corners where they may pick on and so it may become pinching and need to be changed.

The nap mats are good for the child when they are going out with you to any of your friends or relatives house and may feel exhausted to get a little nap. Make sure that it is clear to them not to fight with the mat or to run their cars on the mat so that they may get damaged. The mat should be cleaned from time to time so that they remain soft and supple. The quick nap for the child is important and so you must teach the child to bring out the best energy after the small sweet nap on their own bed for some time.

There is wide variety of backpacks in the markets in these days, with the many options and accessories which suit for all the ages from toddlers to teens. These backpacks are very useful for all the ages of kids to teens because when small child start to keep their belongings they search for the special and such a place where no one can reach so, of these ages of toddlers are bit conscious for their things and they learn in best efficient way how to carry themselves and how to keep their thing. And providing such backpacks to them will encourage them a lot so, a kid backpack is very important to learn them to arrange their thing in best possible manner.

Apart from these small kids the backpack are very important thing for teen agers because t teen age they used to become careless and hardly pay attention to keep their belongings in safe place. So, this makes them to keep their things in special place and helps to learn to be careful also. Teenagers love backpack should be simple and fashionable along with this they used to became brand conscious so, they prefer branded backpacks which are offered by rebook, adidas, fast track etc, though these branded backpacks used to be simple but the trends of using these backpacks are bit high in these days. In the other side kids don’t know bout the brands they just select their backpacks with the colours, fabrics, and cartoon characters printed on them. So, this is the reason why kid backpack used to be more colourful and attractive.

Q: It’s so challenging for us moms to get the whole sleep thing down with babies and as you know, each child has totally different sleep issues. How did you figure out the idea of the Baby Lounge?
A: My second child, Ronnie, wanted to sleep every three hours and if we weren’t home he couldn’t fall asleep. This is what gave me the idea to create the Baby Lounge. With a busy family schedule I needed a cozy, familiar place were Ronnie felt comfortable and was easy enough for me to carry. Today with my third baby, I can’t even image my life without the Baby Lounge.

Q: Are you nap schedule obsessive like me or not-so-much?
A: I’m more flexible to their needs. The beauty of the product is whether you are on a strict nap schedule or not, the Baby Lounge gives moms the liberty to meet all the demands of the day without compromising their child’s nap schedule.

Q: How do you manage to balance being a successful mompreneur and a successful mommy? You know – the age-old work/life balance question…
A: It’s challenging because I love my family and work so much. It’s just as important to keep your family-time block in your schedule as it is to keep your work schedule. At the end of the day it all comes together for me because my team and I work to create happy moments for families.

Q: We love hanging out at the park and think the Park ‘n’ Play Mat is fab! Was that another invention that was the “mother of necessity”?
A: Yes! The idea for the Park ‘n’ Play came when our blanket became wet from the wet grass underneath. Not Fun! I created a real cushion blanket with a waterproof bottom and a fun bag to carry it all.

I encourage all moms to listen to your own needs and create what makes your life easier —- I assure you, it will help someone else too!

Q: And lastly, a totally shameless question- what’s your fave thing about Totsy?
A: OHHH… I love everything about Totsy… The products, pricing, the great team, and service behind this website.

I have met the kids that my brother in law used to have in his latch key group. I have been admiring how they talk about being happy that they go to school these days. Most of them have cool school bags and gears that they like to show off. I have seen children carrying bags with big single letters and some of them even have their names embroidered in them. The kids likes to have
personalized backpacks. They want to feel that it belongs to them. I think it is a good idea, especially if two or more kids have the same backpacks and that the personalized names in it can help them recognize which bag belongs to them. Parents will also feel secure that their belongings of their child are intact. Let me show you how I love this personalized baby blanket that George had.

This is a warm fleece blanket given as a special present when I joined Mother of Preschoolers in our local area. It is also good to have personalized things for your child as it keeps a wonderful remembrance. I like to browse kids items online. I also found nap mats that are cute and adorable for kids. These nap mats makes kids comfortable in their day care class like when they like to play in the floor. Most of them are well padded and fleecy. George likes the soft and fleecy blanket type of a nap mat. I also found Stephen Joseph Backpacks online. They have adorable characters in them thats ideal for day care, kindergarten, preschool and elementary kids. What is more is that you can order them with personalized names of your kids in it. I find that a very neat idea. So if many of you are thinking of birthday presents and fun stuff that your children needs for school, shop now while they are available.

Although Christmas season has passed already, there are lots of fun gifts and toys out there that has been on sale lately. It could be anywhere around you, and it could be anywhere in the online stores here in the internet too. My husband and I went shopping the other day. Most of the Christmas items were now 20 to 50 percent off in our local stores and mall. I tried searching the internet store today and I have seen lots of online sale and bargains too. We got our gifts for everyone last year, but that does not mean that it just end there. Most of the people still continue shopping for gift items especially the after Christmas. I like to do that too especially in saving gifts ahead for next Christmas. Right now, we are focusing the needs of our little boy. George has been up and about lately and growing like a weed! How about your children, your nephews and nieces? Isn’t it fun to make them all happy by giving them special gifts for their recreational activities? I usually have a nap mat for George when he wants to have his play time in the carpet. It is handy and easy to pack all the toys up after he is done playing. I am thinking of personalized pillowcases lately as I like the idea of personalizing stuff for him. A friend of ours gave us a fleece blanket and had his name, weight and date of birth embroidered in it. I think personalizing stuffs are nice and sweet idea as a remembrance. Oh I can’t wait for this year’s Spring and Summer adventure! I heard about an Ezy Roller. Sounds familiar to you? An Ezy Roller is a fun self-propelled cart without pedals, chains and batteries. My boy is still a baby to try this, but I think this will be a cool idea to try on many kids out there. It is economical and enjoyable toy for children 3 years old and above. Unlike rollerblades, an Ezy Roller has a built in handbrake. Supervision of the adult members is needed. I bet this would make a hit for everyone to see, especially when the whole family spends some time being together outdoors until next Spring and Summer.

Way back the time that I was still teaching, I was assigned in Elementary level but I been given a chance to handle kindergarten students, ages 4-5 years old. It was my first time to handle kindergarten, so I was a bit in panic on how I manage the class, luckily I did a good job and I manage the class very well with all the effort to organize it properly. Kids at those ages don’t survive in just sitting for the long hours, they want to have some psychomotor activities to motivate them or else they get bored, sleepy and some of it lost interest in the class. Same thing as I did to my students in Elementary level, I always prepared some games or songs as my ice breaker. Inside the classroom, kids love to play on the ground together with there playmates, like rolling, crawling, laying, napping etc. They enjoy it so much but then again not all schools can provide better or comfortable mats for the kids.

As I keep browsing through the internet about some comfortable preschool nap mat, I came across this Mint nap map that are made of padded and lined with nylon and cotton with a ribbon trimmed, soft, fleecy blanket. It rolls up and has a Velcro closure with carrying strap. It has a soft fleece blanket attached and a removable foam pillow. It’s just perfect for younger children and toddlers.

As I continue my browsing, I reach in these 2 lovely backpacks called Stephen Joseph quilted backpacks and Stephen Joseph Backpacks. Stephen Joseph quilted backpacks are great for toddlers! Made from 100% cotton, they are machine washable and durable. While Stephen Joseph backpacks are made from vinyl, the backpack is very easy to take care of; just wipe with a damp cloth. There is plenty of room for all of your child’s belongings for school. The backpack straps are adjustable and the backpack has a small inside pocket. These 3 are just the perfect fun back to school items.

Looking for the perfect gift for my little baby and my wife and I want it to be unique or personaliz

Looking for the perfect gift for my little baby and my wife and I want it to be unique or personalized so that she’s the only baby who have that when you bring your kid to the mall or just strolling around the park. Just saw this one of a kind and it’s a nap mats preschool for kids and this is a perfect present for your baby especially if they’re already active and crawling inside their playpen. And it’s one of a kind because it seems like those mats are personalized. Having a kid is really fun right? Playing with your kids releases stress (just like me) especially if you just came home from work. But the hardest part here is when you clean up their mess = ). Their wet clothes because of their spilled milk, their mats filled with their poop and pee. It seems that you’ll need a huge laundry bag for this so that you can sort their things and get them ready for laundry. And usually, my wife do the laundry because she’s very keen into details and she always want it stain free and smells good. And after all of the house chores, it’s it feels so good if you’ll take a warm bath to release stress and it’s good for your body. Ah, it seems that I’ve already found what I’m going to give my wife. A comfy towel wrap will do because I think her towel is too old LoL.

My boys start school in a week.

I found out that two spots had opened up for them last August, but it just didn’t feel like the right time. We had upcoming travel to California. Their nana was moving to town a few weeks later. There was a lot of change in their lives and I didn’t want to push it. After much deliberation, talking to the school administrators, conferring with other moms, we decided they would start with the new year. I marked the calendar. January 5th was the day.

Way back in October, I began my plan to gradually prepare them for this day. We casually talked about school. We regularly looked at a fantastic book called “Wow! School!” that I found at in the dollar bin at the grocery store. We drove past school and waved and marveled at the playground. In November, I scheduled a visit for the boys to meet their teacher and play outside with their classmates. It was a huge success. In December, we had two visits where the the boys and I spent the first hour in the classroom for their day opening activities. We’ve talked about school almost every day.

And now that we are a week away, I’m talking with them specifically about what to expect. That they will stay at school without mommy. That I will drop them off and they will spend time at school without me, like big boys, and they will play and learn and laugh and eat, and then I will be back to pick them up. When we talk about it they are happy and say things like, “school!” and “teetee! (teacher)” and “play!” We started our day today by driving by school and waving and then going to Starbucks across the street for a blueberry muffin. We’ll do this a few more times this week. I feel like they are exhaustively prepared and I’m exhausted just from reiterating all of it!

And yet, I feel completely and utterly unprepared!

How did this sneak up on me like this? I’ve spent almost every single hour of every single day of the past two years with them, and now what? How am I supposed to say goodbye to them? At almost two, are they too young for this? Will they be sick every day for the next six months from all the germs? Where do I get a freaking nap mat and can I get the 1 inch kind or should I spring twenty bucks for the 2 inch thick deluxe version? What the heck do I pack them for lunch? You mean I have to PACK them a lunch every night?!

Emotionally I feel completely ambivalent. On one hand, I feel we are all ready for this. They will strive in a structured Montessori environment. They will learn so much from people who are trained to teach toddlers. They will learn even more from being around their peers. And I know the social interaction is worth its weight in gold. The boys are great around other kids, but I’ve noticed more and more lately how they tend to cling to each other. And define what they are doing by what their brother is doing. I know this is all natural, but I want to give them the tools early on for being socially independent. Or at least giving them an environment where they can choose to be socially independent from one another.

Selfishly, I also crave some social independence. My existence has been crucially tied to them since they were born. I feel such gratitude to my husband, to the universe, for making this possible. But I’ve become increasingly antsy and want to start doing more things for myself. Professional undertakings, health-and-diet improvements, a kitchen remodel – I have goals and lists that make me dizzy. But most important, I want to regain a sense of “me” again. Lastly, the boys are quickly approaching numero dos, which has brought utter joy and hilarity, as well as incredibly intense challenges. Not that I want to cop out, but I’m pretty excited about getting a daily break from this.

But all these very healthy and logical reasons doesn’t stop the ache, the hesitation and the sense of impending loss that has invaded my heart the past few days. More than anything, it’s manifesting me to second guess our choice of school. Our last visit left me wanting. The teacher was running late so the aids were running the class. Things seemed chaotic. An aid grabbed a toy out of a child’s hand without warning. They read the kids an appalling book about a child who does everything wrong at school. I heard a lot of nos and negatives, which isn’t my style of parenting. Kids were coughing all over each other and one girl had green snot spewing out of her nose. I’m freaking out just recalling it. But I also know this is just my brain’s way of trying to flee.

I can’t help but feel a sense of loss in all this. Like this is the last week I’ll spend with my boys. Our last hurrah. Silly, I know. I’ll still see them every morning, every afternoon and every evening. But I think the loss I feel goes deeper. It means I need to let go. Lighten my grip. Allow someone, other than myself, my husband or nana, to care for my boys. I think our last visit freaked me out so much because I had to accept, in some way, an environment that was out of my control. This is a big deal for me. Not because I’m some neurotic control freak. It’s just because I’m a mom. And as a mom I realize that at some point I will have to let go. A little bit at first, a little more later, and a hell-of-a-lot more when they grab the keys to the car and say, “see ya, wouldn’t want to be ya!” This is my first time letting them out of my protective wingspread, and truth be told, I’m scared. So much so I actually had a dream a few months back that they died at school. The worst dream I ever had. Maybe I need therapy?

I know I will get through this and in a month or so I will be singing the praises of school. It’s just weighing so heavy, as I’m sure it does for millions of other parents dropping off their babies (no matter how old they are) at school/day care/etc. for the first time. It’s just going to be a tough few first weeks. Or maybe it won’t. But regardless, things will be very different around here.

Amidst the whirlwind of emotions, I am very excited. Thrilled even. To realize that I’ve gotten the boys this far and now they are ready for the next step. To witness what they soak in and learn in this new environment. To realize that I’m going to have a bit of freedom again in my life, an opportunity to re-imagine and re-identify myself. To seize this time I will have for myself, and cherish, perhaps even more deeply, the time I have with my boys.

Completely scary and completely thrilling. Just like parenting always is.
