TsunadesTwin here with this week’s manga breakdown.  Now, if I hear ANY complaints about how my usual 24 hour turn-around timeframe was blown this round, you may find a lump of coal – or a lump of something else that smells – in your stockings/shoes or what other container you put those “filler gifts” in.  I’m writing this in-between wrapping presents so my mood is less than festive at the moment, but then Holiday Stress is normal.  However, in all honesty, despite my stress level, I want to wish you and yours a great holiday season. 

In the “oh, by the way” category, there is news from the WSJ front.  Because of the Holidays there will be NO Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, etc. next week.  Even worse, the next time you see Naruto and company it will also have a week off in-between due to the New Year’s Holiday.  Holidays suck for manga, don’t they? 

And, we have the winner of the Bubble Contest and a Demotivational Poster (thanks to Tenrai and Broken1 for their assistance) so, let’s get this party started!!!

Sasuke versus Danzo.  Nice title.  And, it is a battle we’ve ALL been waiting for.  My prediction:  this battle is going to rage on for weeks like the Bee versus Kisame WWF title fight which ended in a decisive victory (ok, with a little bit of backup) for Bee.  Kisame kinda lost his head over this battle and couldn’t keep it together.  (I hear the groans out there…).   Too bad there aren’t any pens or pencils around to toss Danzo’s way, but with Sasuke’s girlfriend, Susanoo back to protect her man/host, it would be a fruitless attack, as Danzo sure found out. 

Notice that Madara is conspicuously hanging out on a signpost.  Hmmm…he ain’t watching it to place bets in the local office pool.  You bet this masked, revenge-laden, time-warping, absorbing manipulator has his motives for this fight – and his bets are on Sasuke, big time.  I mean, why fight when you got a b**ch to do the hard work for you.  Oh, wait, Madara actually did the clean up job on the underlings, didn’t he?   But he barely broke a sweat over that. 

Makes you wonder if Madara's watching an illegal dog fight or his b**ch fight to the death. Hmmmm....

So, Madara had his Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa gift all ready and waiting for Sasuke.  All he needed was gift wrap, but I think Danzo has taken care of that for us.  For YEARS I’ve wondered why Danzo looked like the mummy that came back to life.  You’d think that just about everyone in Konoha, including the elders, would wonder if those weren’t exactly war injuries he was nursing for eons.  But now, we know – some serious, and disgusting, weapons of mass destruction – or a mere perversion for eyeballs with a particular pattern on them.  Personally, my opinion is that of Karin, who actually has a reasonable comment – YUCK!  Now, if you can get the “stupid twins” (Suigetsu and Juugo) back into the picture, we’d have the entire Taka clan back together to witness the goal that they have been supporting (for various personal goals of their own) Sasuke for so long.

I realize, Danzo, this is an attempt to intimidate your opponent. Personally, if I were your opponent, I'd be wondering what disease you have.

So, Sasuke asks Danzo if he did the deed we’ve all been wondering about:  give the order to annihilate the Uchiha clan (ok, there were two accomplices, Homura and Koharu).  It’s funny but Danzo is so high on his own abilities that it appears he doesn’t take this Uchiha seriously.  Man, oh man.  Danzo, you will pay for that.

Ok, Nutcase. Give this guy an answer or else HIS Sharingan will take YOUR Sharingans (note the plural).

And, in pure Danzo-esque form, he blabbers about nothing and then activates that Sharingan-boil infested arm of his and shows energy that has been pent up for years. 

Wow! Look at that old geezer run. I wonder if he had HIS Wheaties breakfast this morning...

Heh!  Danzo thinks he’s got this Uchiha, and two new Sharingan, in the bag until…

Earth to Danzo: Susanoo calling. I told you to keep your eyeball infested hands off of my man!

Yup, she’s baaaack!  Our gal Susanoo makes her dramatic re-appearance to protect her prize, Sasuke.  Now, Danzo is so stupid he actually asks if this lady is Susanoo.  Huh?  You’d think he’d know that Itachi had Susanoo in his arsenal.  Good God.  Maybe he IS senile.  Oh well.  He finds that Susanoo is no b**ch to be dealing with.  And, she’s going to make sure that Danzo answers Sasuke’s question. 

Ok, Danzo.  You just uttered a name that is taboo with this guy:  Itachi.  Blah, blah, blah.  He betrayed Konoha, blah, blah, blah.  He told Sasuke too much, blah, blah, blah.  Same song, same verse (think “I am Henry the VIIIth I am…”)But, then Danzo continues to talk and you find that he and Sasuke have a lot in common:  the dark side of the shinobi world.  Now, that part is scary.  So, you have two people fighting for, interestingly enough, same purposes - to destroy Konoha in the quest for power and one to destroy Konoha in a quest for vengeance but both using the “darkness” as the means to do it.  Hmmm…no wonder Madara is interested in this one!

This guy's just as scary in the light as he is in the darkness. And to invoke Itachi's name as "one of many..." now, that's out of line!

Danzo curses Itachi and how he “spill”-ed the beans at the very end and how he betrayed Konoha by telling Sasuke what had happened.  Well, we know the truth – the blank spots were so nicely filled in by Madara.  And, speaking of that particular chapter, it all comes together for our Avenger…what Itachi did, how he lived his life, why he joined Akatsuki and his overall motives.  Everything that Madara said was the truth – even if he did it to manipulate Sasuke.  And, you can imagine what kind of impact this had on Sasuke – and it wasn’t good either. 

That's right, Sasuke. Your bro wasn't such a bad guy but I made him into one. Oh, and, his telling you anything was a BAD idea...

So, for Sasuke, our resident emo, enlightenment comes during his fated battle with the first of the three elders, Danzo.  And, his enlightenment ends up giving Sasuke more ammunition to keep up his quest for revenge. For those of you action-addicted types, this is great news as it means that the battles will continue.  However, for those who are reading beyond the action, IMO, it is setting up the stage for a huge tragedy. 

And, we all take a deep breath as Susanoo’s long arm and bony hand takes Danzo and pulverizes him.  Yeah, blood!  He’s a goner….or, is he?  I mean, Danzo’s an experienced shinobi, himself.  ANBU, in fact.  Sasuke, to his horror, realizes that he’s in for one of the battles of his life.  Oh, he’s in deep on this one and he is just now getting that message loud and clear.

Meanwhile, still in the snow – they all have to be working on mild to moderate hypothermia by now - our two Konoha  jonin (one being the Hokage, in fact) banter about the next plan of attack.  At the same time, Naruto is having some serious flashback action going on.  However, before I get to that part, I noted one particular frame in the discussion between Kakashi, Yamato and Sai’s clone.  It concerned Sakura.  I know that there are some Sakura fans lurking about out there – Supertrek, I know is NOT among them – but, alas, Kakashi makes a statement that should make you Sakura fans think a bit.  Although it was obvious to all, it still rather surprised me hearing it being stated so bluntly by Kakashi.  I mean, Kakashi-Hokage was her sensei, after all.  After all the praise he gave her for being “a genjutsu type” and how she could potentially be a stronger kunoichi than Tsunade (like HELL she would, ahem), this frame was blunt and harsh against Sakura.  To me, it indicates that Kishi is sending her back to a “I’m just one who causes pain/mistakes” kunoichi from before the timeskip, and Kakashi only knowing her as a healing jackhammer.  You be the judge:

It isn't often you hear Kakashi "dissing" anyone but for him to "dis" someone who is one of his pupils and a teammate, that is extraordinary.

While all of this is all going on around him, Naruto is deep in some serious thought.  Actually, the term “serious thought” seems to be an understatement.  Everything he has gone through in his recent past seems to all be coming back in torrential flood.  Let’s see…his confrontation with the Kumo shinobi and the resulting beating he took as a result of not wanting to sell out Sasuke…

Now, this takes you back, doesn't it, Naruto? And, it isn't good...

Now, Naruto, THIS one is sure hard to forget isn't it? And, what's with the animators???? Jeez, you'd think they'd edit the wording before they released this!

…and who could forget Madara’s little “inn”-side chat with Naruto…

Now, how can you forget THIS guy, Naruto? This is the guy who's after you and has Sasuke as his b**ch.

…and, worst of all, Gaara invoking the rank of “Kage” to prod Naruto into doing the “right” thing for Sasuke. 

I don't know about you all, but I think this is what pushed our Yellow Sage too far.

“kishi turned naruto into a weakling… something is goin on with him… i wonder what will happen… the story REALLY kicks in nicely in this story…”

“Dammit Naruto you pussy bastard! Stand up and stop having a panic attack over the thought of your lover dying! -_- Hinata sacrificed her life for you and you get angry. Sakura goes off to die for you and you look abashed. Sasuke runs away and gets stronger 3 f**king years ago and when you hear people want to kill him now you have a f**king panic attack!? Sweating on the ground hyperventilating like a jilted lover!? WTF!?!??!?”

“…I think this anxiety attack is actually a result of him burdening so many of everyone else’s problems, rather than getting the support he needs. If you ask me, he is being strong for everyone, stronger than most people would ever be able to be and yet all we want to do is come down on him when the effects of that burden begin to show.

Now, from a writer’s POV, seeing debate in a piece of manga and in the write up is refreshing.  I haven’t seen such lively debate in a long time.  I will say that some points in this debate regarding last week’s manga – and in some of this week’s manga – have stuck with me, which is “super.”  I will post those comments here, but not in their entirety.  I won’t name names specifically but you brilliant minds out there will be able to figure who said what very quickly.  Now,  I shall ”spill” the beans on how I feel about this debate and add some fuel of my own.

*rolls eyes* What Jonin geniuses we have here! You NEVER tell a guy panicking and hyperventilating to take slow, deep breaths. You baka! He's panicking! Where's a qualified medic nin when you need one?

Holydemonandy!!!!  We sure got fired up over Naruto’s little fainting spell, now didn’t we? It was a lot of fun to read the debates this go-round.  This was awesomeness in it’s purest form and I applaud everyone that took part.  Why?  It made us all think, including me.  And, think about this I did. Now, whether or not you like it, you are going to hear my take on it all. 

We all know and love Naruto.  He’s always positive and always follows his nindo, his ninja way of things.  So far, it has been admirable.  Hell, he saved Konoha several times, including this last time in his defeat of Pain, he’s saved his teammates far more than I can count over the years, has earned the trust and respect of his age-ling academy graduates, has managed to get a Root-ed shinobi to become a a Root-less shinobi, has saved the life of a fellow Jinchuuriki, now Kage, not once but TWICE, and the list goes on.  And, he’s done all this despite having the emotional handicap of having a raging beast sealed inside of him – with the intent of it being a gift but we all know what happened – by dear ol’ dad, Yondaime Hokage.  Naruto’s passionate, energetic and often is the driving force between success and failure and touches the lives of everyone he comes in contact with.  To the flip side, Naruto is passionate, energetic and is often the driving force behind a mission.  Hey, wait a minute!  Didn’t you just say that, Twinsie?  Well, yeah, I did.  See, every positive quality can have a negative side to it.  Sai brought this out when he pleaded with Sakura to do something about informing Naruto about eliminating Sasuke.  Naruto has become the workhorse and now it was time for the others to step up to the plate.  However, the question is, did they truly do as Naruto would have done?

Oh it gets better…now add onto this that this kid, who was considered an outcast, wanted to emulate the strongest Kage ever known in Konoha, Yondaime Hokage – who just happens to be his own father.  Naruto announced early on that he wanted to be Kage so others would respect/look up to him.  He meets Sasuke who leaves for the “wrong side of the Force.”  Of course, Naruto wants to save Sasuke from himself – not something that is successful in real life, but with Naruto anything is possible.  So, his training for three years has had a mixed bag:  strong, yes; focused on Kage, maybe.  In his mind, if he can’t save one friend, he does not deserve the rank of Kage.  Hmmmm…that’s quite a bit of pressure to be putting on yourself if you are sixteen years old. 

Now, there is also the Itachi Factor.  Huh?  Remember those so-called powers Naruto received just prior to Itachi’s death?  Well, we haven’t seen what parting gift Itachi gave to him.  Yes, we heard the talk.  We heard Naruto proclaim that he would save Sasuke AND Konoha.  As nutty as Itachi thought Naruto was, he decided (rather quietly) to believe in him and bestowed him something – question is, what did he get out of the deal?  A mouthload of crow or…something else?

And, what about what happened here? There's still a lot we don't know about...

Ok, now that I’ve totally bogged your mind, let me give it to ya straight.  For those of you going “Meh, this kid’s weak,” may I remind you that this sixteen year old kid (possessed by the strongest bijuu) has lost a friend and has been trying desperately to get him home, trained for three years with one of the Legendary Sannin and who has since died leaving a horrible void in Naruto’s life, saved his village from major catastrophe in the Pain invasion, attempted to plead for that friend’s life by prostrating himself in front of another Kage, saved a friend – also a Kage – twice, dealt with being lied to and betrayed by the girl that he loves (idc what her motives are, fact remains that she lied and has dealt a blow to Naruto’s trust), and now knows he’s the top target of two on the Madara hit list.  Hmmmm…can we say “stress?”  Of course you can say he’s stressed out!  Jeez, louize!  His back’s against the wall in how to deal with this friend gone rogue with others wanting his head on a platter and another friend invoking the rank of Kage to get him to see the light.  Yeah, I’d be hyperventilating, too!

And now, many wonder how any kid could have a massive panic attack.  Bah!  Take a closer look at this picture.  This is how he dealt with the pain of indecision last time.  Has he learned anything from it?

Is there another visit to the Kyuubi cage like this one in the near future?

This time, the load he is bearing is far greater than any he has experienced since this last begging session at the Kyuubi sewer cage.  He’s a hero to his village and often shoulders the burden for his fellow shinobi.  Others are looking to him for the moral guidance; the conscience.  And, now, like above, he has no idea as to what to do.  Allow his friend to be killed or somehow spare him?  Does he give up hope of the Kage mantle as a result?  What are his true values and were they always “high ideals” or were they his version of truth?  Sure, it would be easier to summon the Toads and have them attack but without any thought behind it – along with his beliefs to guide him – what good is it?

Man, there was so much meat to this chapter that I couldn’t cover it all.  Whew!  I guess this is Kishi’s way of making up for the fact that next week, there won’t be a Naruto chapter.  Gaahhhhh!  So you guys will have to suffer for a week of debates, wishful thinking and Holiday cheer.

Sasuke vs. Danzou

Summary:

The chapter begins ans instead continue fighting Madara let’s Sasuke has his chance to get revenge. So danzou starts a jutsu with a few hand signs and dashed towards Sasuke. He is about to punch him in his stomach but Sasuke summoned a bone of Susanoo to stop Danzou.

After tat he summons Susanoo’s hand and grabs Danzou with it.

The scene swithces to Naruto and the others. Kakashi orderes Yamato to take back Naruto to Konoha and he and Sai are following Sakura. Then we see Naruto looking back on the recent events. He starts hyperventilating  and faints as he crawls deeper and deeper into his memories.

Back to Sasuke and Danzou:

Danzou is still caught by Susanoo’s and Sasuke asks him if its true that Konoha made Itachi kill his own clan. Danzou reveals that it’s true and because of that Sasuke summons almost everything from Susanoo’s body for his final strike. Danzou doesn’t stop talking so Susanoo crushes him.

Just when Sasuke  thought that he won Danzou appears behind him. It was a genjutsu!

My 2 Cents:

Before I talk about the chapter let’s have a look on the cover of this week’s WSJ:

In the background there are a bunch of wannabe cosplayers almost all with black hair. That’s the proof that WSJ kidnapped some schoolkids dressed them as Naruto and pasted them on the cover. For an alibi they took some serious cosplayers with dyed hair so that the ones with black hair don’t stand out so much……

Well let’s talk about the chapter…

Yeah… it was an average chapter. Too much talking but it had some cool scenes and Sasuke’s face is nicely drawn. You can almost see his hatred through his face. Susanoo is also well-drawn.

Damn… I really hoped that Madara would be fighting against Danzou to show off some of his abilities

I’ll give this on a 7/10.

PS: I really hate the pussy attitude of Naruto in this chapter!

Yes, the b**ch is back – ALL of her (heh heh heh).

Yes, the "heros" have come back for good!!

This is Tsunades Twin with the latest Naruto breakdown.   The chapter is titled, “Madara’s True Strength,” but there are several elements of strength on display here.  To be honest, I’ve wanted to see far more from Madara than that time-space continuum manipulation. And another person we finally see is Danzo and what’s been underneath all of those bandages for oh so long.  I mean, my first thought last chapter was we were seeing the reincarnation of the Transformers when Danzo whipped out that blockade of an arm.  Now that I know what’s underneath the bandages and blocks, I am officially creeped out. Ewwwww!

Yes, folks. We now get a "looksie" of what's underneath that, uh, seal. Yeah, if THAT's a seal, then I am truly Tsunade!

Ok, I’ll start with the “bogey” part of the title, the friendship part.  Yes, Naruto is still struggling with Sasuke (when has he NOT struggled with his friendship with Sasuke?) but it’s been framed into a very different perspective from none other than Gaara. Naruto has always had a special bond with Gaara – one that not even his friendship with Sasuke could come close to matching.   You’d think that Naruto would have realized this fact by now but, apparently, it took Gaara to come out and ask the obvious question:  ”What is the meaning of friendship to you, Naruto?”

Now, Naruto? Don't know why you are so shocked at Gaara's admission given how you value HIM as a friend. Ya think that would be a clue for dealing with Sasuke?

Yup, Gaara learned a lot from our wayward Genin (Gaahhhh, I wish they’d promote this guy!) and has clearly demonstrated his knowledge in his growth in rank and in maturity.  Reminds me of yet another shinobi who has learned a lot about friendship from Naruto – Sai.

This picture touched me. It especially did so when you look at Kankuro (yeah, it's cut off). His head is bowed in sympathy for both Gaara and Naruto.

So, as everyone from Suna departs, we now have a new Hokage – ok, not official but the de facto one, Kakashi – and one shinobi struggling to deal with what is best to do about a friend who is lost with no desire to get out of that predicament and two shinobi (ok, one is a clone) who are just dying to tell Naruto what the “correct” answer is.  But, as we all know, Kakashi knows our Yellow Sage best – that he has to figure this all out on his own.

Yeah, Yamato. I know. It's so clear to all of us. Now, it's time for Naruto to cut out that co-dependent thing with Sasuke and let it go.

Now, from where I sit, the relationship between Sasuke and Naruto has been one of the most dysfunctional I’ve ever seen. It is the classic, “I can change him/I can save him” argument that we all know is fruitless, at best.  How many times have we cared for someone who we thought was going in the wrong direction – and we could even see the impending train wreck coming – only to have that person keep going towards disaster?  For me, more times that I care to admit. What’s the answer?  Of course it is to let that person go and experience the consequences of their actions.  Naruto wants to save his childhood friend from the obvious disaster looming from going to “the dark side of the force.”  Problem is, Anakin Skywalker Sasuke has no interest in leaving the path that will lead him to his goal of revenge.

So, now, this leads to the main event of the chapter:  Madara vs. Danzo.  Ok, so it starts off a bit slow, which made me wonder aloud, “Is that it?!?.”  Madara is like a spoiled kid who doesn’t like the brussels sprouts on his plate and whines about it to no avail. So, what does he do to those detested brussels sprouts?  He plays with them – repeatedly.  And, so begins torturous playtime for Danzo as orchestrated by Madara.  Where does he start?  Of course, with the part of the meal he detests so much, the “brussels sprouts,” the underlings, Fu and Torune.  We find out a great deal more about these two Root underlings as well.  I saw someone mention the Yamanaka clan a while ago and, sure enough, Fu is a Yamanaka with that mind/body switch variant.  I wonder how HIS clan feels about him being in Root?

Yeah, yeah, he's related to Ino. However, why does this guy have such a humongous nose?!?

Then there is the man in black, Torune.  We later find out that he, too, is from one of Konoha’s most prominent families: Aburame.  He’s got that bug thing going on, too.  His is so potent that his bugs act as a poison to whomever he deems worthy to “get that loving touch.”

Madara really knows how to make people's lives miserable. He pits Torune against his teammate Fu and...well, Fu ends up paying big time.

Hold the phone!  Torune?  Bugs?  He’s related to the “homie brigade?”  Among the questions I want answers for: where’s that homie jacket the others wear that’s such a Konoha fashion statement? And…what does HIS clan feel about this guy being in Root? Maybe that’s why there’s the mask…?

Should we call you the "Man in Black" or "Dark Masked Avenger?" You sure don't look like you're from that clan of homies (think Shino).

Madara bobs, weaves, teases, cajoles with these two guys only to have them be, well, less than worthy of being with Danzo.  They fall for every single trick that Madara lays out for them.  Eventually, Madara pulls out the stops and shows us all what else he can do.

Now, THIS is Madara in action. I have to admit that this "ghosting" jutsu is SO cool!

Oh, he’s beyond that time-space continuum.  He “ghosts” so he can avoid getting hit or injured, which is awesome.  He’s also into absorbing his opponents so they disappear – possibly also for their abilities.  Whoa!   Time out!   That just sounds soooooo wrong! Absorption?  I can understand wanting to send these two wannabes to another dimension but to absorb them entirely?  That just sounds so…cannibalistic to me.

What’s great about this is how efficient Madara is with this absorption jutsu.   First up is Torune…

Now, Torune. It's a little too late to be realizing that you should have watched your backside...

Soon after comes Fu…

...Fu? You should have known that against Madara you were simply hosed.

So, now, two of the major threats against Sai have now, literally, disappeared.  Now, we have just one more:  Danzo. But more on him in  a moment…

Sasuke? When are you ever going to learn that making demands of Madara comes at a very heavy price - usually to YOU?

Last we left Sasuke, he ressembled steak tartar and Madara sent Karin to fix that issue as quickly as possible – in another dimension, of course.  And, Karin did not disappoint in the least.  Sasuke has been resurrected from near certain death only to find that Madara has brought him a get well present.  Hmmmm, now what would Sasuke dearly love the most…? Karin?  No way.  Sakura without tears?  A nice thought but, again, no.  Danzo decides that he would leave the main course of his wonderful “meal”, Danzo, to Sasuke.

Sasuke? This is your dream match up. I hope you realize that this isn't going to be as simple as the Valley of the End...

Ok, now this really sounds bad.  I sense that Susanoo chick is going to make a big comeback shortly.  However, after toying with the less desirable underlings, why would Madara leave Danzo to Sasuke?

Hmmmm...interesting. What's the purpose behind Danzo's eye tattoos?

Now, here’s the picture that just creeped me out big time.  Danzo’s bandages and his Transformer-ressembling arm bands/seals (if you say so, Danzo) reveal that his arm is covered in that eye technique that is so over-hyped and over-emphasized by Kishi, that damned Sharingan.  Every time I think Kishi has gone overboard with this eye tech, he finds yet another way to take this over the top.  Boy, did he do just that, IMO.  Now, I want to know what the purpose is for Danzo to have one arm filled with Sharingan eyes.  I’d LOVE to hear your theories on this one.  I’m getting all sorts of images with this idea.  Here are a few:

1)  Danzo is collecting Sharingan like trophies of the fallen Uchiha – and like a new coin collection

2)  Danzo is stocking up on Sharingan so if the one he currently has fails, he can merely pluck another one and have it implanted – ewwwww!

3)  Danzo liked the design of the eyes on his body.  His plan is to cover his entire body (now THIS gives me images I don’t want to think of) with these eyes.

4)  Danzo’s eyes actually serve a function – it allows him to sense an enemy and can intensify any technique he has.

5)  Danzo is actually an accomplice of Madara.  Danzo is holding the eyes that Madara needs in order for his “immortality.”

Madara’s true power

Summary:

Danzou is unsealing his ar and the two root-ninjas attack Madara to buy some time. They attack with some shurken and a mind-body switch jutsu. Marada dodge them both with his time/space jutsu. He sinks in the pillar where they’re fighting on.

Then Madara appears behind one of the root-ninjas and gets instantly attacked by a sword. And again Madara dodges with letting the sword slip through his head while using a time/space technique.

This time the root-ninjas try a combo attack on Madara. But as they not so stupid as I thought they want to get Madara when he uses a counter attack as he has to materialize some of his body. It fails again and on top of that the root-ninjas injures the other one! As the injured one is down the other one attacks Madara with full strength but he sucks the root-ninja in his mask.

The scene switches to Naruto and Gaara talking that the Sand will act as Kakashi is the Hokage etc… Fortunately the scene switches back to the fight.

After that Madara pulls off his right arm to distract the injured root-ninja and sucks him into his mask, too. Madara also disappears into the dimension where he keeps Sasuke and comes back with him and Karin to the battlefield.

Danzou has finally unsealed his arm and we see this:An arm full of Sharingans!

My 2 Cents:

Madara shows us a blink of his power and still it’s impressive. He fights two of the best root-ninjas and sucks them into his mask. He is really one of the strongest guys out there… maybe the strongest (with the 7 Bijous he has quite an advantage). But I will wait with my final judgement who’s the strongest as Danzou just showed us his sharingan-arm. kinda creepy…

I’ll add this to the topic “creepy things” aswell: Madara takes his harm off and throws him at the injured root-ninja.

I think the body of Madara is like a puppet. In one chapter (I can’t remember which one it was) Sasuke saw Marada through his sharingan and for me it looks like a puppet’s body.

BTW: Maybe Madara finishes off Danzou and Kakashi takes Danzou’s place as Hokage. An other possibility is that Tsunade finally wakes up and take the hokage’s seat…

You see many things to cover the next chapters… this one gets a 8/10.

Hokage’s Resolution

Summary:

Continuing from last chapter, Sai tells Naruto the true intentions of Sakura. She wants to kill Sasuke herself because of two reasons:

1) To release Naruto from his burden to get Sasuke back to Konoha

2) As Sakura loves him and she also wants to save him from a life of evil.

Suddenly Gaara appears and tells Naruto and the others what happened at the Kage-Summit. Gaara will protect Naruto with his life no matter what.

The scene switches to Danzou who is attacked by Madara. Danzou takes off his coat and prepares to unseal his right arm…

My 2 Cents:

Ohhhh… I thought Sakura couldn’t sink any lower but this chapter proved me so wrong. How can you want to kill the person you love? Okay… Sasuke is a criminal but that’s absolutely no reason! If Sakura would truly love him she would say goodbye to Konoha and become a member of Akatsuki at Sasuke’s side. Then would be clever to kill Naruto so he doesn’t look for Sasuke anymore. As a bonus no one can stop Madara’s moon’s eye plan and the manga finishes! It all depends on Sakura now. “Please switch to Akatsuki Saku-chin!”

Lets get to the interesting stuff: Danzou and Madara.
I really hope we see a nice fight next chapter. Maybe some of Madara’s or Danzou’s secrets will be reviled. Who knows….

Oh… it just striked me that the dramaturgy of Naruto is like the statistics of my blog’s visitor-statistics:
I get my most visits on Friday. So 1 out of 7 days are well-visited… Relating to Naruto 6 out of 7 chapters are average or boring.

Hey everyone,

This may be the shortest review of them all.  Kisame gets owned, Ao is saved, and Sai has to tell Naruto what’s going on; that’s everything in a nutshell.  Hell, let’s have fun with it and  go a little in-depth.  Why not?  Kisame Pong isn’t a real game by the way.  Credit to adel123456789 for the awesome gif.

Just when you think KB was done, he pulls out a pencil and throws it at Kisame’s head.  Not much to be said here, but let’s have a poll for the lols.

Personally, I carry an easy button wherever I go.

As we predicted, somebody comes to save the day.  Well actually, quite a few people do.  The Raikage and his squad show up just before Kisame lands the final blow.  How convenient for Killerbee, eh?  “Bee, sorry we’re late.”  No you actually made it JUST in time Shi.   Anyhow, I was actually expecting Kisame to give them a hard time but…need I say more.

“What’cha gonna do brother when Hulkamania runs wild on you?”

I’m seriously starting to think that Kishi is a wrestling fan.  Raikage wears a huge belt, fights with his shirt off, and wears weights on his arms.  Props to whomever can find a wrestler that he resembles.  KB is the more obvious of the two.  Who wears sunglasses/bandanas, has a beard, and says brother at the end of every sentence?

If you guessed Hulk Hogan then you are correct!  My co-writer Mandi and I were flabbergasted by this revelation.

For those of you that didn’t know, Macho man does rap.  It’s pretty hilarious actually.

This might be the biggest WTF moment ever.  As Kisame was about to pull off a jutsu, the Raikage and Killer Bee simultaneously finish him off with their Double Lariat. Kisame is decapitated, and with his last breath, he states with a grin that their lightning-quick speed was simply too fast for him. His head then flew a distance and landed in front of Sabu.

First of all, I’m disappointed to see Kisame die in this manner.  Kishi, expect some exploding seals in the  mail.  Kisame has been around since chapter 139; to have his character die and LOL at his own death is pretty ridiculous.  LOOK AT HIM! “You’re too fast for me…”  WTF!  Kisame was the most hyped member of Akatsuki given that he was one of the surviving few.  This is the guy who fought alongside Itachi, the guy Madara entrusted to handle KillerBee, the guy who cut heads like he’d cut his steak.  I am truly disappointed by his death.  Ok I’m done ranting.

With his death there are only 3 original Akatsukis roaming free: Madara, Zetsu, and Konan*

"Dude I think we got caught." "I'm with stupid --->"

Elsewhere, idiots, Suigetsu and Jugo are trying to sneak into a movie but get caught.  We’ve seen them take dozens of soldiers out before, but can they take on a country’s worth of soldiers?  I’m not too sure.  Perhaps Madara will show up and lend them a hand.  I still think Suigetsu has a chance of obtaining the Samehada.  He’s swordless and Samehada is ownerless with the exception of KB who has yet to claim it.

Neither of you can fool the Mizukage!

Mizukage finds Ao and sees through Fu’s puppet jutsu.  The plan was to kill Ao but slowing him down wasn’t bad at all.  Good luck finding Danzo guys.  They should make a game called where’s Danzo?  He goes missing for 30 chapters, comes back for 10, and goes missing again…

"Truth is...I love you too." "WTF?!"

Sai shows up out of no where.  Kakashi identifies him as a clone.  The real Sai went off with Sakura and her crew in recent chapters.  So apparently Sai knows the real truth.  Ok a few things for the next chapter.  I think Sai will tell Naruto that Sakura acted on the moment, and the confession wasn’t meant for let’s be together, but let’s hunt sasuke together.  Some say Sakura’s feelings are genuine.  I personally don’t think so.  Hinata’s a better fit in my opinion but that’s a whole different story.  Naruto’s going to flip out and feel betrayed that his comrades went after Sasuke without him.  I find it interesting that Sai, Danzo’s pupil of all people, couldn’t kill Sasuke but the ninjas from the village are intently set on killing him.  I think Killerbee rejects Samehada’s invitation as its new owner but who knows.  Maybe they’ll bond somehow.

This is it for me guys.  I apologize for the late review but it’s all I could manage with my hectic schedule.  This will probably be my last review being that Penny should be back this week.  I will be covering FMA again as well as writing some video game reviews if you wish to check those out.  I’ll definitely be around for future discussions.  I’ve enjoyed my time here and I’d like to thank you all for the support.  Adios amigos!
