E na hora de cortar o cabelo, as celebridades também ficam em dúvida, afinal, mudar o visual em uma indústria onde imagem é tudo, pode ser um desastre! Pois bem, vamos às figuras que foram bem na mudança:

Ela tinha o cabelo super longo, todo trabalhado no babyliss, bem Paris Hilton na época das vacas gordas, quando fazia Simple Life com a Nicole Richie, e usava um megahair bizarro. Apareceu no AMA deste ano, linda, com um cabelo mais curto (comprovando a tendência de cabelos com cortes de altura mediana). Achei que ela ficou infinitamente mais clássica, fugindo um pouco do look artificial hollywoodiano.

According to E! Online, Natalie Portman has an interesting reason for taking on a role in the Thor:

I just thought it sounded like a really weird idea I just thought it sounded like a really weird idea ’cause Kenneth Branagh’s directing it … And Ken Branagh doing Thor is super weird. I’ve got to do it.

Branagh is an odd chocie, but not so much when you remember the tone and battle scenes in his Henry V.  We do think it’s weird that Portman is already calling Branagh “Ken”.   He just doesn’t seem like a “Ken” to us.

Awarded perhaps more than it was the case at this year’s Oscar gala, the films inspired by wars return. The last such film is Jim Sheridan’s drama, “Brothers”, whose premiere took place Monday night, at the SVA Theater in New York.

The film tells the story of two brothers, Captain Sam Cahill (played by Maguire) and  Tommy Cahill (played by Jake Gyllenhaal). Sam is about to embark on his fourth tour of duty. He’s married to his high school sweetheart, Grace (Portman), but when he goes missing, Tommy moves in to take care of Sam’s family (two daughters and Grace), and eventually falls in love with his brother’s wife….

Model Agyness Deyn and actor Terrence Howard were also in attendance.

The premiere of new musical “Fela!” on Broadway at Gotham Hall went down last night in NYC. Among those who turned up = Jay-Z, Spike Lee, Harry Belafonte and of course Bill T. Jones (who wrote the book alongside Jim Lewis).

Lynn Hirschberg needs to upload more screen tests. The one or two she does every now and then isn’t enough to satisfy my hunger for more stylistic interviews. Whatever it’s just an interview right? I suppose you’re right, but what sets these apart for me is the black and white close-ups with only their responses cut together.

To be honest with you, I’m not a huge fan of Megan Fox. I’m not involved in the Fox hotness craze. I enjoy the likes of Marion Cotillard, Melanie Laurent, Cintia Dicker or better yet, Sonya Sydoryshyn more than Megan Fox. However, I’ve got to admit that she’s pretty enjoyable to watch when she’s not filmed as a super sex vixen ready to sizzle your heart with her pouty lips. My favourite screen tests are still Jospeh Gordon-Levitt, Natalie Portman, Marion Cotillard, and (surprise) Tyra Banks. A gata atriz Kat Dennings (Nick e Norah, O Virgem de 40 anos) foi confirmada no elenco da adaptação de Thor para o cinema. Segundo a MTV americana quem contou a novidade foi a atriz Natalie Portman que interpretará Jane Foster.

Spilling the news is the depicter of Thor’s first love Jane Foster, Natalie Portman, when expressing her excitement to work with Kat Dennings in the upcoming action fantasy movie.

Following several actors who have been previously confirmed to join “Thor”, Kat Dennings also has a part in the film. The news was first spilled by the film’s star Natalie Portman when she was interviewed by MTV Splash Page. “Well I’m really excited. Kat Dennings is going to be in it with me and she’s a good friend and an amazing actress, so I’m looking forward to that,” the depicter of Thor’s first love Jane Foster said.

Dennings’ inclusion in the cast ensemble for the film was later confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. However, there has been no word on what character that will be played by the 23-year-old beauty as the site claimed Marvel Studio keeps a closed lid on her role.

Dennings is perhaps best known for her role as Norah Silverberg in “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist”, which aided her to receive nomination as Breakthrough Performance Female at 2009 MTV Movie Awards. She previously also appeared in 2006 film “Big Momma’s House 2″ starring Martin Lawrence. She can next be seen in superhero film “Defendor”, which is slated for a 2009 release.

Tadanobu Asano, Ray Stevenson and Stuart Townsend

Prior to Kat Dennings, “Queen of the Damned” star Stuart Townsend, “King Arthur” star Ray Stevenson, and Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano have been tapped to be The Warriors Three, which is made up of Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg. Joining the trio is “The Office” actor Idris Elba, who is set to portray Heimdell, the Guardian of Asgard in the upcoming adventure film.

Adapted from Marvel comics, “Thor” is an epic adventure that spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. The story centers on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior, who is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans after his reckless actions reignite an ancient war. He later learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. Acho que todas nós já fizemos a maquiagem queridinha dos últimos e penúltimos tempos: esfumaçado preto nos olhos, boca neutra e um blush tímido nas bochechas. Para fugir um pouco do padrão e dar um toque mais sofisticado e suave, experimente trocar a sombra preta por sombra marrom, usados com lápis e rímel preto. Como vocês sabem, enquanto não estou aqui dando dicas pra vocês, sou maquiadora de moda e publicidade. Além disso, também faço maquiagem social. O que quer dizer: faço make e cabelo para festas, casamento, etc.
Estamos no fim do ano e fico impressionada com a quantidade de casamentos em São Paulo nessa época. Meus sábados tem sido entre pincéis, escovas, sombras e secadores.
Com toda essa história, quero chegar em um assunto específico: calor X cabelo.
Com o verão, vem as chuvas e vocês sabem que a umidade é inimiga dos fios no lugar. Aí, algumas mulheres querem porque querem ir ao um casamento com baby liss e cabelo solto. Me desculpe, mas nessas horas eu sou bem honesta: vai chegar linda e depois de 1 hora vai tombar tudo.
Não existe milagre minha gente. Se você curte um cabelão ondulado e solto, pense pelo menos na possibilidade de ele ser meio preso ou um rabo de cavalo. Coque, com esse calor, é a salvação. Não precisa ser nada careta (aliás, abaixo a caretisse). Falo isso em prol da sua beleza e conforto. Pense na possibilidade de outros penteados, outras formas de se sentir tão bonita sem deixar o cabelão solto grudando nas costas (eeeccaa)!!

Você faz um coque e depois “suja” um pouco. Isso quer dizer, puxa umas mexinhas, como se estivesse meio bagunçado, depois “tasca” spray e tá pronta e linda. Dica meninas, esse penteado é SUPER fácil de fazer e fica moderno e bem bacana.

We’ve seen Kate Moss knock off her own designer wardrobe for Topshop, had M, Madonna’s money-saving ranges for H&M, and “Lily [Allen] Loves” a bargain at New Look. But cheap-as-chips celebrity collaborations are looking old hat compared with a new wave of tie-ups that have more than just self-promotion and the retailer’s bottom line in mind.

Natalie Portman, the star of films such as Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium and the Star Wars prequels, is going one step further by designing her own vegan-friendly shoes for a New York boutique. The collection, for the Manhattan shoe emporium T Casan, goes on sale next month although keen shoppers can place pre-orders from 15 January. The vegetarian actor’s designs will sell for about $200 (100), making them a cheaper alternative to Stella McCartney’s leather-eschewing shoes which sell for at least 295.

So far eco-minded celebrity alliances have been few and far between, but retail experts predict that Portman’s shoes are the future of high street fashion for 2008. Leona Lewis, the X Factor winner turned pop diva and a fellow vegetarian, last week said she would “love” to create her own range of affordable non-leather bags and shoes.

Meanwhile, Debenhams has allied itself with Sir Steve Redgrave, the Olympic oarsman, who has put his name to a clothing range made with Fairtrade cotton that will go on sale for Fairtrade fortnight next month. And Katharine Hamnett, the fashion designer, is searching for a new high street partner after axing her nascent alliance with Tesco for her range of T-shirts made from organic cotton. Even Pamela Anderson, a spokeswoman for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has done her bit with a cruelty-free clothing line.

Richard Hyman, who runs Verdict Consulting, a retail consultancy, said shops ploughing the well-trodden celebrity endorsement route would not be enough of a draw for saturated shoppers. “This year shops will have to find the right endorsement that is sympathetic to their marketplace,” he said, adding that tapping into the consumers’ blossoming ethical consciousness with targeted tie-ups was one option retailers would choose. “Retailing today needs to be about offering a genuine point of difference,” he added.

Lauretta Roberts, editor of the trade fashion magazine Drapers, said eco-fashion was the “number one cause at the moment”, predicting more collaborations. “I don’t think we’ve had Lily Loves Organic Cotton. Not yet, anyway.” But she cautioned: “Whoever does it, both in terms of the celebrity and the fashion brand, would have to think very carefully. It would need to be a credible pairing on both sides, as you’re just asking for people to scrutinise your behaviour and business practices if you style yourself as an eco-warrior.”

Anya Hindmarch, the luxury handbag designer, knows this only too well. Despite being for an ethical cause, her limited-edition “I’m not a plastic bag” cloth bag, sold by Sainsbury’s, hit the headlines for the wrong reasons after it emerged it was made in China using cheap labour even though the supermarket said the factory pays double the minimum wage.

And although McCartney makes vegetarian-friendly shoes and clothes, Ethical Consumer magazine, which advises consumers where to shop on ethical grounds, points out that the designer’s eponymous label is owned by PPR, the luxury fashion giant behind several other lines that use furs such as fox, badger and mink.

Portman’s shoes will be made without animal ingredients: leather, fur and feathers are all off-limits. T Casan has said it will donate 5 per cent of the range’s profits to charity.
