Snejana Onopka and Natasha Poly for Gucci Cruise 2010 Campaign

Patrizio di Marco, CEO of Gucci confirmed this week the acquisition of the production sites of two Tuscan leather manufacturers Toscoval and Valigeria Toscana. A joint venture company has been created, GT srl of which 51% is controlled by Gucci and the rest by the 2 manufacturers. According to Di Marco, the move is a strategic one, considering Gucci’s commitment to continue manufacturing all its products in Italy. Di Marco also annouced that by the end of 2010 a museum dedicated to Gucci will open in Florence.

Another fashion film for the road…“Ghost” by director Marco Brambilla for MUSE magazine. The model is the brilliant Natasha Poly, who is intensely fabulous in this haunting video, even when stripped bear of expensive clothes and makeup.

Natasha, street style all-star, and Inguna layer a jean jacket under a leather jacket during the SS10 shows. Perfect for when the weather is chilly but not chilly enough to pull out the heavy duty stuff!

The tome is  to commemorate and celebrate the 15th birthday of his eponymous makeup and skin care line, Nars photographed 15 of his favorite celebrities and fashion people in situations inspired by the names of his products, which are culled from film and fashion history. These  limited-edition tome  proceeds will go to charity – Charity, fashion and fierce pictures – what’s not to love.

…. The beauties emerge. I have never seen fashion week street style as good as the pictures taken by Stockholm Street Style over Paris Fashion Week. More specifically, after the Christian Dior show, where the hair and makeup was sooooo perfect that all models looked sublime off the runway and that the light was so nice all editors and photographers looked stunning as well. Here are my favorites from the fabulous blog – most during Paris Fashion Week, a lot from the Christian Dior show.

Cruise 2010

Retro sexy Chic… That’s what Frida gave us for the cruise 2010 collection. With 70’s references that felt very “Love Boat” but off course very glamorous and elegant full of prints, navy tones and cuts, designed to outline the body in a sexy collection that’s perfect for the “Cote D’Azur” or Saint Tropez. Very Gucci By Frida Giannini.

The photography is by Mert & Marcus. Their male muse, Ryan Kennedy, was accompanied by Natasha Poly and Snejana Onopka.

The fabulous Miss Poly in one of my favourite trends so far, grey sweats, and she wears it well, mixing the casual shirt with luxe pieces like a Chanel purse, leather motorcycle jacket and suede over-the-knee boots.
