In Siena Jan. the 3rd  (from 16 to 19) the new year will begin with an event dedicated to children along the streets: the Wannagonna show street band with the Epiphany on stilts with his funny friends, obviously on stilts, too.

In Florence Jan. the 6th , from 14 to 18, in front of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the traditional appointment with the Magi. At the Museum of Natural History Jan. the 6th from 11 to 13 Epiphany will arrive with a lot of toys and gifts for children. In Arezzo until Jan. the 8th, there will be the traditional market in Piazza Risorgimento and Piazza San Jacopo. In the tiny medieval village of Montisi, municipality of San Giovanni d’Asso, near Siena, in the middle of the Crete Senesi  the 12th edition of “The First Oil and more” will be held from October 29 to November 1, 2011. This event is part of “Going for Crushers and Markets“organized by the National Association of Oil Cities and Crete d’Autunno 2011: Festival of Food of the Crete Senesi.
A long weekend full of culinary heritage, where you can taste in the Contrade or restaurants the new oil pressed in this part of the Crete Senesi together with the other typical products of this area (white truffles and Wine Orcia DOC) .
There will also be guided tours of the village oil mill  and oil and wine tasting courses, as well as visits to the districts of the Tournament of Simon, the Museum of the Compagnia, the Little Theatre of the Grange that has been recently renovated.
There will be flea markets and craft shows throughout the village and street shows.
