Da ich gerne Rennen fahre und NFS Most Wanted bereits komplett durchgezockt hatte, gibts jetzt für die nächsten Wochen den 2007er Erfolgshit Need for Speed Pro Street in der Konsole.</p>

<p>Da wieder etwas mehr Zeit ist, zock ich das seit ein paar Tagen und habe den ersten Part schon durch. Gestern Abend ging es mit der React-Kategorie weiter. Natürlich ohne Cheats bzw. nur mit den Geldcheats.</p>
<p>Ziel ist es natürlich, alle Renntage entsprechend zu dominieren. Bis jetzt hab ich&#8217;s soweit obwohl der Chevi für die Drag-Races eher auf Halbmeilendrag getunt ist. Wird halt immer schwieriger, aber trotzdem gut.</p>

<p>Isn&#8217;t that so often the case with jealousy?  We covet 100% of our lover&#8217;s attention, but excuse our own inability to reciprocate it: by extension, if we are all doing this, then we must only assume that the truth is we will never, ever get that 100% of anyone&#8217;s attention, it&#8217;s impossible and we&#8217;re all just lying to each other.  </p>

<p>I&#8217;m striving to find a positive outcome from this chain of thought.  How about this.  Unless you are very, very lucky, the likelihood is that no one will ever be able to snap out of their own shit and love you as much as you deserve, nor even as much as you are capable of loving yourself, so maybe treat yourself more kindly than you do?  I&#8217;m going to try to pull at least that small slice of upbeat advice from the devastating reality of human isolation and make that a project in positivity.  Maybe I will take myself out on a date.  If I get fresh with myself, I will slap me.</p>

<p>I really understand where she&#8217;s coming from.  I had my license revoked when I was 19 because I sped like a maniac.  I accrued too many points on my record in a one year period, absolutely all from speeding tickets.  It was the &#8220;exhibitionist speed&#8221; and &#8220;reckless endangerment&#8221; ones that put me over the top, I reckon.  Fucking <I>bullshit</I>.  But I recognized the dangerous side to my obsession with vehicular shenanigans and, even after my license was eligible to be reinstated, I did not immediately pursue getting it back.  I waited until I was emotionally ready to have such a potentially fatal machine in my hands.  (Again, so often &#8212; the secret shadow side of our hottest passion is the potential for our destruction.)   </p>

I still go for long, remote country drives and may from time to time, if I&#8217;m alone, get the speed going a little high, but I&#8217;ve come to understand that the more appropriate, safe, and comforting thrill I get from driving is the strong sense of being in control, of choosing my own destination.  Plus, I have to live for my daughter&#8217;s sake, so I don&#8217;t allow myself to push the limits of my speed any longer. </p>
<p>Looks like that is likely the case for Ms. Gamba these days as well; according to the wiki, Veronica &#8220;has been married twice and has a child from each marriage, a son (Christopher), born 1980 and a daughter (Melissa) born in 1987&#8243; (the <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veronica_Gamba" target="blank">wiki</A>).</p>

Mais on trouve aussi des circuits tout droits sortis de l&#8217;imagination des développeurs, tortueux et complexes à souhait. <p>Il problema <span style="text-decoration:underline;">REALE </span>è che con le forze politiche in carica non si ha piu&#8217; a che fare con crimini seri, depenalizzati come se niente fossero.  I nemici seri della legge sono gli stessi che danno loro lo stipendio per permettere alle proprie famiglie di tirare avanti.</p>

<p>Test sürüşümde hayatımda üçüncü kez direksiyon başına oturmanın heyecanını yaşadım. Her heyecan öncesinde olduğu gibi inanılmaz çişim geldi. Hadi toplasan 20 dk sürer çişimide tutarım diye tam içimden geçirmiştim ki, 2. dönüşümde sayın hocam test sürüşümün bittiğini söyledi. Toplam sürüş rotamı <a href="http://btc.montana.edu/ceres/html/Polar/images/circle.jpg" target="_blank">şuradan</a> görebilirsiniz. Benim o ana kadar ki en büyük başarılarım;</p>
<p>1- Kontağı çevirip arabayı çalıştırmak.<br />
2- Vites atmak.<br />
3- El frenini indirmek.<br />
4- Gaza hafif dokunmak ve debriyajdan ayağı hafifçe kaldırmak suretiyle aracı hareket haline geçirmek.<br />
5- Direksiyonu çevirmek.<br />
6- Frene basmak.<br />
7- Çişimi tutmak.</p>
<p>2 dakika test sürüşü, 3 dakika sınav, toplamda 5 dakikada alınan ehliyet. Ha elbette direksiyonun başına oturmak için inanılmaz değişik türde ehliyet sınavını başarıyla geçmek gerekiyor. İşin içinde emek elbette var. Kendimi karganın havada gelişi güzel z.çtığı bir b.k olarak elbette görmüyorum. O direksiyonu hakettim. Evet! Ha sınavı çok küçümsemiştim kabul ediyorum, ilk yardımdan;</p>
<p>Aşağıdakilerden şok geçiren trafik sürücüsüne yapılabilecek ilk yardım uygulamasıdır?</p>

<p>gibi bir soru gördüğümde şaşırmayacaktım.</p>

<p>Çok iplemediğim sınav beklediğimden zor geçmişti. Ama başarmıştım. O direksiyona oturmayı hak etmiştim. Daha önce &#8220;need for speed&#8221;te yakaladığım dereceleri söylesem zaten sınava bile girmeden alırım ehliyetimi de sevmem ben orda burda inanılmaz derecelerimi paylaşmayı. Yine de hayatında 3 kere toplamda 15 dakika &#8220;gerçek araba&#8221; kullanan birisine de 2 dakikalık test sürüşü sonrası 3 dakikalık sınavla ehliyet verilmesini tam çözemedim. Hani ömür boyu yanımda biri oturacak da, karşıdan gelen tırın altına tam giderken direksiyona hakim olacak diye düşünüldüyse baştan b.ku yedik.</p>

<p>Yani demek ki diyorum kendi kendime; bu trafik canavarlığı öyle küçükken izlediğimiz yaratığa dönüşen adam gibi değilmiş, 5 dakikada ehliyetini eline almış biz saftirik insanoğluymuşuz. Öyle sırf hayvanlık olsun diye milleti canavara çevirmenin alemi yokmuş. Sonra çıkıp sorar sonra birisi canavara ehliyeti kim verdi diye, sümük gibi yapışırız duvara.</p>

<p>Önümüzdeki salı gününe kadar ehliyetim elimde olacak. Benim için şu anda araba sürmek, Need for speed, Midtown Madness gibi oyunlarda yaptığım süper ötesi hareketleri karayolunda denemektir. Diğer sürücü arkadaşlara hayatlarında benle aynı şeritte karşılaşmamalarını diliyorum. Yine de askerlik öncesi ehliyetim olacağı için çok mutluyum. Pişman değilim. Bidaha olsa bidaha alırım anasını satim.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Need for Speed Nitro, as its name indicates very well, is a racing game mainly based around a simple but effective mechanism and recurrent in the history of the series: the use of nitro tanks to boost its speed briefly. Nothing to do with the Shift episode, much more mature and realistic, Need for Speed Nitro is an arcade game, a real beat’em, more than the previous episodes on Wii. Designed to be playable in every imaginable ways (Wiimote, Wiimote + Nunchuk, Wii Wheel, Classic Controller and GameCube controller), the Nitro was also ensure that any player is able to run without no experience in any other racing game. Thus, we find an extremely accessible game, requiring hardly any briefing except to explain that drifter is giving a little tap on the brakes before you turn in and rob-cons to find the ideal balance.<br />
All this accessibility, the fun side now&#8230; It&#8217;s nice but it would be better if it did not mask a severe lack of depth and repetition Nitro referring to the state of beta. Indeed, over the five towns that we discover, EA’s game never fails to renew, increase the challenge or at least surprise the player. Five cities (Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, Madrid, Singapore and Dubai) is also five channels but not more&#8230; The impression of circling is obvious and takes precedence over everything else, despite efforts to offer courses to the profile and different rules. Too straight, tracks contain some good chicanes and corners but they are not sufficient and full bodied to highlight the drift. Too bad to say, the police presence should be enough to charm us and make this amount of uncertainty as desired. Nay, the police make an appearance but proved totally harmless.<br />
The disappointment is even greater than the basic bias visual aesthetics and harmonized well with the Wii and the next totally arcade NFS Nitro. Vehicle design and look original and almost veering into caricature, which sets tagguent pattern of your choice during your transition, smooth animation, opportunities for customization of course very limited but the appointment&#8230; All of this ruined by a botched content and gameplay without much interest. There remains the multiplayer mode, only locally, which can accommodate up to four brave and scrupulously reproduces the same patterns than solo, simply adding the possibility to participate in the racing team. In this case, it is the points scored by players from both teams to determine the winning pair and the duo lost. Too bad the thing does not reach the Online where we would have expected such races to eight, as against the AI &#8211; by Jean-Alexandre</p>

Need for Speed a cunoscut multe “schimbări la faţă” de-a lungul timpului, ajungând într-un final la un aspect de neon prea folosit în baia comună a unor liceeni mult prea încântaţi de fenomenul tuning-ului pentru maşini, ca teorie cel puţin. Mai direct, oricum ai da-o şi oricât de pasionat ai fi de lumea mai mult sau mai puţin underground a curselor ilegale, promovată mai ales de “Fast and Furious”, trebuie să fi recunoscut de pe undeva de la <a href="http://computergames.ro/ro/jocuri/viewitem/id/445/name/need-for-speed-carbon.html"><strong>Carbon</strong></a> <a href="http://computergames.ro/ro/jocuri/viewitem/id/1023/name/need-for-speed-prostreet.html"><strong>încoace</strong></a> că ceva e putred sub capotă.</p>
<p>Oarecum suprinzător pentru o companie recunoscută pentru deciziile conservatoare când vine vorba de propriile francize, EA a decis până la urmă să tragă apa şi să aplice (pentru a câta oară?) un nou facelift jocului care, în ultima sa versiune înaintea titlului de faţă a vândut peste 5 milioane de exemplare, chit că media review-urilor prezente pe net nu l-a săltat peste fatidica (şi trista) notă de 60.</p>
<p>Aşadar, SHIFT se prezintă radical schimbat faţă de <a href="http://computergames.ro/ro/jocuri/viewitem/id/2506/name/need-for-speed-undercover.html"><strong>Undercover</strong></a>, filozofia din spatele său fiind, pe scurt, “driver experience”. Chiar designerii studiourilor Slightly Mad, împreună cu capetele mari de la EA, au fost foarte clari din acest punct de vedere, ceea ce ne aduce într-un punct critic în analiza de faţă: ce este de fapt Need for Speed SHIFT?</p>
<p>“Driver experience” nu se traduce automat prin simulator. Sau ceva pur arcade. Neoane sub roţi sau trasee fictive prin Alpi. Din acest motiv, “struţo-cămilă” este prima caracteristică cu care SHIFT marşează, dar din fericire pentru publicul ţintă, succesul seriei şi timpul meu alocat jocului, “struţo-cămila” este una de succes.</p>

<p>Noul NFS nu are gagici în cutscene-uri penibile, care probabil că au costat o căruţă de bani. Nu are asfalt mai lucios ca oglinda mea din baie, nu are neoane şi nici “poveste”. Este un joc “cu maşini”, cu elemente de simulator strânse bine în chinga unei întregi serii de “driver assists” ce pot fi modificate de pilot, cu trasee reale, “dar cu moţ”, trasee fictive, maşini cu licenţă, sistem de damage pentru bolizi şi un principiu destul de sănătos de a răsplăti jucătorul pentru orice prostioară făcută pe traseu.</p>
<p>Din motive de economie şi factor noutate, realismul sistemului de control (sau lipsa lui) va fi tratat(ă) după ce, în prealabil, toate assist-urile au fost puse pe “off”, cu excepţia schimbătorului lăsat pe automat şi a trasei ideale. Pe cea din urmă m-am bazat extrem de mult până când modul în care maşina încerca să o ia prin boscheţi nu a mai reprezentat o surpriză perpetuă, venită ca o palmă neaşteptată de la o persoană aparent blândă, însă cu intenţii malefice ascunse sub tricou.</p>
<p>Motivul pentru care am avut nevoie de acest ajutor specific a fost, în principal, brutalitatea experienţei din interiorul bolidului. Fiecare gâlmă din asfalt, fiecare bucăţică de iarbă, vibratoarele de pe margine, totul se simte şi are un efect, accentuat suplimentar de force feedback în volan sau vibraţii în controller. Bordul se zdruncină şi îţi zgâlţăie câmpul vizual la modul înspăimântător pe alocuri, iar momentul inevitabilului impact se resimte ca şi cum cineva a ieşit din monitor şi ţi-a înfipt un pumn în nas.</p>

<p>Senzaţia de viteză pentru maşinile care chiar merg repede este de-a dreptul incredibilă (nu judecaţi acest aspect dupa primul Audi S3 cumpărat în modul carieră), până când ajungi efectiv sa te relaxezi şi să îmbrăţişezi impactul ca pe o realitate ce nu poate fi evitată. Cel puţin nu pe moment.</p>
<p>Aşadar, driver experience-ul in-car, la viteză, în mijlocul circuitului, cu controller-ul încercând să-ţi scape din mâini, înconjurat de un AI nervos chiar şi pe easy, asurzit de V12-le ce îţi distruge timpanul în bestialitatea sa este, îndrăznesc să spun, unic în domeniu şi trebuie experimentat de oricine, fie el fan arcade sau sim.</p>
<p>Implementarea per ansamblu a cumulului de factori ce duc la senzaţia dementă de care vorbesc este atât de bine făcută încât, pentru mine cel puţin, va constitui pe viitor un punct de referinţă pentru orice joc cu maşini ce stă să apară, sau urmează să apară în viitorul ceva mai îndepartat. Fiindcă SHIFT mă face să regret ca nu am o cameră dedicată de gaming, cu sistem de boxe 7.1, scaun Recaro şi un G25 care să nu fie de împrumut.</p>
<p>Ulterior însă, te trezeşti un pic la realitate. Cu toate că senzaţia de “am pierdut controlul, unde-i frâna?!” este splendidă la viteze mari, până la urmă realizezi că deşi stăpâneşti controalele destul de bine şi te-ai acomodat cu alegerea assist-urilor, treaba tot nu merge cum trebuie. Maşina este exagerat de “ţâfnoasă” la viteze ce depăşesc 200 de kilometri pe oră, deşi tu, ca prestator de comenzi direcţionale, îţi faci treaba ca la carte. Ce nu e în regulă?</p>

<p>Să le luăm pe rând.</p>
<p>SHIFT poate să-mi tatueze şi pe frunte că e simulator. Nu e. Fizica maşinii, deşi destul de realistă, a fost adaptată mult aclamatului driver experience. Nu este ancorată în realitate, ci în dorinţa de a te face să te simţi la volanul unui bolid mai puternic decât capacităţile tale de a-l ţine sub control, până la punctul în care s-a exagerat un pic. Atâta timp cât conştientizezi asta, e ok.</p>
<p>Continuând, SHIFT se chinuie din răsputeri să transpună realitatea pilotării unei maşini sport prin intermediul unei scheme de control eminamente limitată din punct de vedere al simulării. Aplică multe efecte vizuale şi sonore, te zgâlţâie (virtual) zdravăn în spatele volanului, îţi înceţoşează câmpul vizual şi apoi îţi pune curba în faţă. Trebuie să te obişnuieşti şi să îţi adaptezi stilul de condus, indiferent de ce pilotat până acum în materie de jocuri cu maşini.</p>
<p>Şi, într-un final, SHIFT o dă în bară (parţial) cu funcţionalitatea sus-numitei scheme de control. Pe orice configuraţie, începând cu tastatura şi terminând cu exagerat de scumpul volan G25 de la Logitech. Englezul îi spune “deadzone”, combinat cu “input lag”. Eu îi voi spune “lipsa preciziei”, combinată cu “dă de volan când vreau <strong>eu</strong>, nu când vrei <strong>tu</strong>”.</p>

<p>Departe de mine gândul de a sugera că SHIFT e nejucabil. Vreau doar să spun că de la un nivel de experienţă în sus aş fi dorit ca jocul să mă faulteze doar prin ce îmi arată pe ecran, nu şi prin ce ţin în mână pentru a da de volan. Prima oară când am intrat într-un Bugatti Veyron (pe lângă rotitul camerei, admirarea interiorului şi alte aspecte de genul ăsta) nu am reuşit să-l ţin în linie dreaptă. Maşina accelerează atât de brutal încât nici măcar trasa ideală nu putea să-mi sugereze să frânez suficient de repede, chestie care mi s-a parut extrem de amuzantă.</p>
<p>Însă cu toate acestea, “driver experience-ul” din SHIFT este o reuşită de proporţii din punctul meu de vedere. Este suficient de sim încât să nu pară “pentru copii” şi suficient de arcade încât să nu sperie jucătorii mai puţin pasionaţi de acest aspect. Frapantă este doar linia de învăţare, care complet necaracteristic unui joc EA în general şi unui joc NFS în particular, este extrem de abruptă. Fără nici măcar un singur compromis, în special în ceea ce priveşte cursele de “drift”, prezente şi de această dată.</p>

<p>Din păcate, lauda necontrolată se opreşte aici. Modul carieră, adică ce ar trebui să reprezinte sarea şi piperul, este alcătuit dintr-o adunătură de circuite nelegate între ele, ce sunt deblocate prin acumularea de “stele” în timpul curselor. Iar tu poţi ajunge în ultimul tier cu foarte puţine curse la activ. Mai mult, senzaţia de “garaj” este 0, deoarece per total nu te forţează nimeni să-ţi cumperi o maşină şi să o aranjezi cum vrei tu.</p>
<p>Ai curse “invitaţionale”, unde primeşti maşină “de la ei”. Dacă nu sunt curse invitaţionale, sunt marcate drept “speciale” şi… exact, primeşti maşină “de la ei”, iar dacă nu… poate apuci să dai şi bani pe ceva. Presupun că ţine de jucător, însă eu prefer senzaţia de “apartenenţă” şi de progres, ce este accentuată semnificativ de un garaj încăpător unde îmi pot admira achiziţiile, picta cum vrea ochiul meu complet pe lângă în ceea ce priveşte estetica şi le pot tuna conform opţiunilor destul de arcade şi limitate puse la dispoziţie.</p>
<p>Aşa că singurul motiv pentru care merită să joci cariera este să treci prin lista de maşini şi să te minunezi de experienţa de condus in-car. În rest, există jocuri mult mai bune la acest capitol. Nimic de zis, conceptul de resetare a unei serii este de multe ori o idee bună, dar anumite lucruri ar fi trebuit să fie lăsate în pace. Nici modificarea maşinilor nu m-a impresionat în mod deosebit, fiind ceva mai spartană decât tona de opţiuni cu care alte NFS-uri m-au obişnuit (din punct de vedere vizual) şi decât tona de simulatoare străine seriei NFS jucate până acum (din punct de vedere al simulării).</p>

<p>Desigur, o scăpare de plictisitorul mod carieră este multiplayer-ul, fie el online sau LAN, odată cu <a href="http://computergames.ro/ro/downloads/viewitem/id/15070/name/need-for-speed-shift-patch-1-europe.html"><strong>cel mai recent patch</strong></a>. Mi s-a parut mai mult decât ok faptul că nu am avut deloc lag online, probabil cel mai mare compliment pe care îl pot face jocului. Lobby-ul este bine făcut, ai opţiuni de veto asupra curselor sau modurilor de joc şi, deloc surprinzător, majoritatea populaţiei preferă cursele gen destruction derby, unde cu ceva noroc poţi scăpa de linia de start unde toata lumea buşeşte pe toată lumea.</p>
<p>Nu intra însă în panică, întrucât există şi facilităţi adresate celor care chiar vor să joace serios, gen penalizări de-a dreptul severe pentru tăiatul curbelor prin iarbă (lucru ce funcţionează şi în single-player). De asemenea, un alt element comun ambelor moduri de joc este sistemul de “cadouri”: faci drafting? Ia un badge. Ai trecut de 200 Km/h ? Mai ia unu’. Ai depăşit un oponent după ce în prealabil l-ai buşit puţin ? Eşti agresiv, ia un badge mai lucios decât celelalte.</p>
<p>Totul se învârte în jurul punctelor acumulate pentru orice faci pe circuit, fie că mergi precis, depăşeşti curat, buşeşti oponenţii, intri în derapaje controlate etc. Acestea se adună şi te definesc ca un pilot Precis sau Agresiv. Relevanţa distincţiei îmi scapă, dar sistemul este simpatic la modul general.</p>
<p>Singurul sub-element de-a dreptul mişto pe care l-am remarcat în această privinţă este contorizarea fiecărei curbe de pe fiecare traseu: jocul socoteşte o serie destul de lungă de factori şi decide daca ai luat curba perfect, anunţându-te atât vizual, cât şi printr-o “bifă” pe minimap. Nu primeşti nimic pentru chestia asta (în afară de badge-uri), însă te împinge de la spate să pilotezi elegant, nu grobian, din perete în perete.</p>

<p>Realizarea tehnică miroase puternic a titlu &#8220;triple A&#8221;: grafica este excepţională dacă te ţine sistemul, iar vederea in-car, după cum am precizat deja, depăşeşte orice în materie de jocuri cu maşini realizat până acum; cadrane perfect funcţionale, mişcare realistă a capului, şocuri şi zgâlţâituri corespunzătoare plus, foarte important, senzaţia de viteză.</p>
<p>La rândul ei, sonorizarea este nectar picurat în urechi pentru cine apreciază un V12 turat la maxim şi accentuează corespunzător imersiunea din interiorul maşinii. Păcat totuşi de muzică, ce mi s-a părut fadă şi neinteresantă.</p>
<p>Tot la capitolul tehnic am remarcat diferenţe semnificative de calitate şi framerate între plăcile video ATi şi cele Nvidia. Ca să îţi faci o idee, GTX 285-ul de acasă de-abia se dezmorţeşte cu SHIFT, framerate-ul lovindu-se de V-sync on (adică 60 de fps-uri) în 1920&#215;1200 cu totul blană.</p>
<p>Un ATi 4870 în schimb de-abia mai gâfâia pe la 35 de fps-uri în 1280&#215;1024, cu jumătate din anti-aliasing-ul folosit acasă. Asta pe un sistem per total mai puternic decât cel ce îmi găzduieşte GTX-ul. De asemenea, calitatea anti-aliasing-ului nu este aceeaşi, filtrarea anisotropică pare să nu funcţioneze, plus alte mici probleme grafice extrem de deranjante.</p>
<p>Nu îmi pot da seama a cui e vina (joc sau driveri), dar până la noi ordine, ATi nu se descurcă prea grozav în SHIFT. De timpii de încărcare nu mai zic nimic, că mi-au scos peri albi şi iar m-apucă dracii.</p>
<p>E drept că versiunea pentru Xbox 360 nu are niciuna din aceste probleme, dar nici calitatea grafică nu este aceeaşi. Nici pe departe.</p>

<p>Cum era de aşteptat, până acum am văzut zeci de discuţii aprinse pe tema SHIFT: pro şi contra, argumente valide şi invalide, hateri, fanboys, toată gama. Cum seria Need for Speed este extrem de populară şi la noi, cu siguranţă voi primi câteva urări de bine şi de la publicul autohton, nu înainte însă de a sublinia un aspect extrem de important: SHIFT este <strong>FUN</strong>. Când a fost ultima oară când ai condus într-un joc de maşini (fie el arcade sau simulator) despre care să poţi spune, cu mâna pe inimă, că e fun?</p>
<p>Fiindcă dând la o parte tehnicul, cariera plictisitoare, bubele pe ATi sau deadzone-ul făcut cu furca, jocul este distractiv, te umple de adrenalină şi te ţine în faţa calculatorului. Iar din acest punct de vedere, un eventual SHIFT 2 are o bază extrem de solidă de pe care să continue, să îmbunătaţească şi să recâştige renumele seriei de altă dată. Asta dacă nu se răzgândeşte EA şi cine ştie ce naţie de NFS primim la anul.</p>

<p>We have all found ways to satiate our car lust in the interim time that our supercar of choice is unavailable. Be it a hot wheel collection, a magazine or oft-visited website (made up of handsome, exciting and popular contributors), our greatest automotive fantasies are constructed with the materials available to us. Being just shy of 30 (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logan%27s_Run_%28film%29">renew!</a>), I’m fortunate enough to have been a part of the generation that grew up on the magical device that allows us to vicariously experience our wildest fantasies from the comfort of our living room: the home video game console.</p>
<p>The <em>Need for Speed</em> series of games has been around for a very long time, taking its loyal fans on a tumultuous journey throughout its many evolutions. In the beginning it was a virtual cruise through Road &#38; Track, which then expanded to different modes keen to fuel the enthusiast’s desire to perform such acts as outrunning the fuzz in a Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR through a gothic cityscape in the dead of night. The series then went Underground, focusing on modded-out rides and pandering to a demographic that believes an aftermarket spoiler bolted to the trunk of a Honda Accord imbues it with stunning agility and street cred as it sets the highways ablaze with streaks of neon.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><em>Need for Speed: Shift</em> is the beginning of a new era for the series, taking the action off the street and bringing it to the track, with a focus on bringing the player as close to the fray as possible. The game puts you in the role of a driver just setting off at the start of a racing career that will take the player from tracks and events across the globe, mastering different styles and crafting a personality based on your unique driving attitude. Your race engineer is the narrative voice that gives advice and introductions for the game’s many events. He starts you off in a hot lap in a BMW M3 that determines what control setup and difficulty is best recommended for you, which you can arrogantly ignore and apply the most hardcore settings if you so choose (and later humbly reset after some eye-opening humility).</p>

<p>I attempted to be as pro as possible, turning off much of the assists and immediately removing the visible driving line on the track. That’s just…no. The one setting that defeated me was my attempt to play with a manual transmission, as the makers of the game chose to place the upshift and downshift buttons on the controller right above the triggers used for gas and brake, so if I wanted to upshift, my finger had to leave the throttle, and, most frustratingly, the other had to leave the brake for the sake of a downshift, which in a pinch I want to do simultaneously. With no way to re-map the buttons, (this was on the Xbox360 and I assume it’s the same on the Playstation 3), I was forced to relinquish control of the transmission to the game.</p>
<p>In <em>Shift,</em> much attention has been given to emulating the sensation of speed and, indeed, the dramatic loss of it. An in-car view is available, with pleasantly detailed interiors that can be scanned freely, with fully functioning gauges and upgradable features, plus usable mirrors. The development team seems to be aware of how distracting enjoying the interior details can be when you should be paying attention to the race at hand, so you’ll notice everything inside of the car slowly blur at speed, forcing your eyes to concentrate on the world through the windscreen. Looking up too late will treat you to the jarring sight of a tire wall or barrier rushing towards you, and plowing into it turns the screen into a distorted, shaky mess as the game does its best to make you really feel like you’ve had a serious collision. The degree of the impact determines just how dazed the perspective becomes, from the full-blown aforementioned madness, to a little color de-saturation and gauge rattling for minor scrapes. All this knocking about will reflect on the cars as well, depending on the settings you choose. If you’re going for as much realism as possible, the shunts and slams that your car endures will reflect on the body and performance of the vehicle. While there isn’t a way to fully incapacitate your car, a massive accident will leave your ride a crumpled mess with low power and skewed alignment.</p>

<p>The car you choose will be one of many in the 4-tier system available to you based on your driving level. Tier 1 contains cars such as the BMW 135i and the Volkswagen GTI, while higher tiers promise the chance to purchase supercars like the Pagani Zonda and Bugatti Veyron with the in-game currency you’ll earn. Being a green racer when you pop in the disc, only a handful of cars will be unlocked for purchase, and your initial funds allow for only the most frugal choices. As you progress, you will unlock more tiers, with higher performance cars, garage spots, and different visual and performance upgrades for both the interior and exterior.</p>
<p>As mentioned before, your skills in <em>NFS:Shift</em> are measured in your driver level. At level one, you’ll have only bare-bone essentials at your disposal, but as you race, you’ll advance in rank as you earn points for podium finishes and different challenges for particular races (such as hitting a certain speed or spinning out a number of competitors), as well as points earned for the two branches of driving styles that define your progression: Precision and Aggression. You’ll earn Precision points for driving the line, clean passes, and managing corners properly, and gather Aggression points for trading paint, throwing the tail out, and generally muscling your way through the grid. The system seems fairly responsive, but I spent a few races shoving rivals out of my way, only to inexplicably end up with a “Precision” badge at the end of the race because I managed to drive a decent racing line most of the time.</p>

<p>Tracks like Brands Hatch and Spa-Francorchamps mix in well with the various fictional tracks designed for the game.  A series notorious for its product placement has found a good medium in track advert postings and car liveries, so don’t have the feeling that the game is shilling any particular product. Some of the menus for tuning and customization could be a little more user friendly. You can paint the car in numerous configurations and apply decals, but there isn’t a way to have a design on one side of the car perfectly mirror the other, which will work the OCD of in-game car artists hard. Other than this section, your currently selected car will be featured in the background, spinning and being shown off at various angles. This is nothing particularly worth mentioning until you attempt to change the body kit in the upgrade menu, which sits opaquely on top of this animation. The kits are functional and there’s a graph that shows the difference in performance if you choose to install it, but it’d be nice to see what my car would look like if I did so, especially since if you select a kit, it is applied to the car animation as a preview, only visible through the spaces in between the menu windows.</p>

<p>Assuming you don’t play the game in the 3rd-person perspective, the only ways to enjoy your visual tweaks are through the after-race replays where you can also pause and take snapshots of your car at various angles, inside and out. I spent a lot of time in photo mode just for the sake of scrutinizing and enjoying the in-car details without having to worry about driving, taking pleasure in nit-picking features of real-life cars I’ve driven, and pretending to be behind the wheel of cars that I haven’t, which seems to me is the point of the game—fuel for the fantasy. Players of the game will enjoy the gameplay, but most of all, they’ll revel in opportunities, like pitting a Reventon and a Veyron head-to-head at Laguna Seca to see who’d win, even if it’s just make-believe. Even so, in lieu of the real deal, it might be a good way to settle a few bets.</p>

Çoğumuz şimdi bile ne unutulmaz oyundu ama diye iç geçiriyoruz. Bu oyununun arkasından çok NFS oyunu çıkartıldı ama oyun severler için sonuç hezimetten öte gitmedi. Her yeni NFS oyunu geçmişin hatrına alındı ve her yeni oyun NFS’ye duyulan saygıyı biraz daha azalttı. EA Games de bunun farkında. Bu sebeple her yeni NFS oyununu biraz daha başarılı yapmak ve oyun severlerin eski tepkisini yeniden yakalamak amacındalar. Bu amaç doğrultusunda da çok reklamı yapılan, çok iddaalı olan Need for Speed: Shift’i piyasaya sürdüler. Şimdi bu oyuna bakalım.</p>

Oyuna ilk başladığımızda şunu görüyoruz. Oyun buram buram; Nascar, Grid kokuyor. O sokak yarışlarından, doğal şehir trafiğinden, her an çarpıp altımıza alabileceğimiz insanların bulunduğu ortamlardan artık tamamen vazgeçilmiş ve oyun araba yarış pistlerine yönelmiş. EA Games bu tutumuyla Need for Speed oyun serisinin imajını da tamamen değiştirmiş. Kim bilir belki bu NASCAR oyun serisinin sonlandırılmasıyla alakalıdır. NFS, NASCAR’ın bayrağını devralmış olabilir. Yada EA Games bu yarış türünün daha popüler olacağını düşünmüş olacak ki bu şekilde bir dönüş gerçekleşti. Need for Speed: Shift oyunu tüm bu olumlu ve olumsuz eleştiriler arasında piyasaya sürüldü.<br />

Oyunun popülerliğinin günden güne düştüğünü ve EA’in bunu engellemek için oyunu yenilikler kattığını söylemiştik. İşte bu yeniliklerden ilki ve belkide en güzeli “kokpit sürüş modu”. Bu mod daha önceden de bir çok oyun ve seride denenmişti ama belirtmeliyim ki ilk defa bu kadar iyi olanına şahit oldum. Bir kere direksiyon havada kendiliğinden ahenkle dans etmiyor. O direksiyonu tutmuş ve komutlarımızla birebir orantılı olarak direksiyona yön veren elleri görebiliyoruz. Bunun yanında kendimizi gerçek bir araba yarışında gibi hissetmemizi sağlayan dikiz aynası ve sol ayna da mevcut. Sağ aynanın olmaması da son derece mantıklı ve kabul edilebilir bir şey. Gerçekten bu aynalar oyun içerisinde çok işimize yarıyor ve oyuna heyecan ve adrenalin katıyor.<br />

<p>Virajlara Dikkat<br />
Kokpit Modunu gerçekçi kılan başka bir özellik ise virajlarda ve kasislerde araç sallandıkça kokpitin içininde sallanması. Tüm göstergeler ve direksiyon her kasis ve virajda sallanarak gerçeklik hissiyatını arttırmış. Bunun yanında oyuna getirilen bir başka yenilik ise araç hasar durumu. Oyun severlerin şiddetle istediği ve eksikliği durumunda çok tepki gösterdikleri araç hasar özelliği Need For Speed Shift oyununa mükemmel olmasada güzel sayılabilecek bir şekilde aktarılmış. Artık virajları alamayıp bariyerlere çarpınca öle yola tıngır mıngır devam etmek yok. Aracınız gerçekten büyük hasarlar alıyor. Mesela kaput yamuluyor, çarpmalar devam ederse ön kaputun uçtuğunu görebiliyoruz. Bunun yanında çamurluklar yamuluyor, kapılar göçüyor daha da güzeli camlarımız çatlayabiliyor. Tüm bu hasarlar yarış sonunda aracınıza verdiğiniz özeni gözler önüne seriyor.</p>

<description><![CDATA[Najnowszego wcielenia Seata Leona nie trzeba nikomu przedstawiać, a już na pewno nie wersji Cupra. T]]></description>

To oznaczenie jest zarezerwowane dla najszybszych modeli marki Seat. Jakoś w środku sezonu miałem przyjemność pobyć trochę sam na sam z rzeczonym Leonem w wersji Cupra. Różnica jest jednak taka, że postanowiono go nieco ulepszyć. Chyba większość miała okazję pograć lub przynajmniej słyszała o grze Need For Speed. Ten konkretny egzemplarz to demo car zrobiony na potrzeby premiery gry Need For Speed zatytułowanej Undercover. Samochód przeszedł przez ręce kilku firm i każda z nich miała swój osobny wkład w tworzenie tego potwora. Tak oto tapicerkę zaserwowała Java Car Design, o to by pasażerowie mieli co oglądać i czego słuchać w trakcie jazdy zadbała Audio Mania, a za kwestię przykuwania wzroku przechodniów i innych kierowców odpowiedzialny jest poznański AG Tuning.</p>
<p>Premiera gry miała miejsce trzy lata temu i wtedy to właśnie zbudowano rzeczonego Leona. Już z zewnątrz widać, że samochód jest szybki i wściekły niczym hiszpański byk. To wszystko za sprawą nowego pakietu ospojlerowania, przyciemnionych szyb i felg firmy ATS ubranych w opony o profilu 45. Maska została wykonana z prawdziwego włókna węglowego. Poszerzono także nadkola. Wszystkiego dopełnia czerwień rodem z Ferrari. Na szczęście postanowiono nie upodabniać go wizualnie w pełni do tego, co z samochodem można wyczynić w grze przy pomocy funkcji Autosculpt i dzięki temu wszystko ze sobą doskonale współgra oraz prezentuje się bardzo przyzwoicie.</p>
<p>Wnętrza również nie oszczędzono. Fotele wymieniono na obite skórą kubełki. Za bezpieczeństwo kierowcy i pasażera odpowiedzialne są pasy szelkowe. W przypadku foteli pokutuje zasada coś za coś. Z jednej strony mamy perfekcyjne trzymanie boczne, ale z drugiej są one trochę za bardzo klaustrofobiczne. Swoje zadanie jednak spełniają i podczas szybkiego pokonywania zakrętów nie ma opcji żeby uderzyć głową w szybę albo przytulić się do pasażera. Z tyłu kanapę pozostawiono fabryczną, ale obito ją skórzaną tapicerką. Wnętrze jest kombinacją czerni i czerwieni, znajdziemy w nim także wstawki zrobione z włókna węglowego.</p>
<p><img title="Seat Leon Cupra" src="http://wgrzesiak.com/GALERIE/LEON/images/12.jpg" alt="Seat Leon Cupra" hspace="10" vspace="10" width="242" height="160" align="left" />Oczywiście czym był by demo car bez potężnej dawki multimediów. Ekrany LCD znajdziemy w kokpicie, tylnych drzwiach oraz bagażniku. Ponad to zamontowano z przodu i z tyłu odseparowane zestawy głośników. Całości dopełnia potężny subwoofer schowany w bagażniku. Całość jest napędzana trzema wzmacniaczami. Wszystko to sprawia, że samochód mógłby z powodzeniem posłużyć do nagłośnienia małego koncertu. Oczywiście ma to swoje minusy&#8230; jadąc na zdjęcia otrzymałem z życzeniami szerokiej drogi dodatkowy akumulator, mini agregat i okablowanie.</p>
<p>Pomimo, że Cupra już fabrycznie legitymuje się bardzo dobrymi osiągami i prowadzi się również nienagannie, to oczywiście należało sprawić żeby osiągi były adekwatne do wyglądu. Z tego, co się dowiedziałem samochód na pewno został poddany chip tuningowi. Podobno legitymuje się mocą około 300 koni i to by się mogło zgadzać, gdyż jeszcze tego samego dnia dostałem do ręki 350Z w najmocniejszej wersji (295 KM) i wydawał się być wolniejszy od Leona. Zawieszenie zastąpiono piekielnie twardym, gwintowanym zestawem. W trakcie jazdy trzeba się przyzwyczaić do częstych hałasów dobiegających z zewnątrz auta, ale wynika to właśnie ze specyfiki zestawu. Przez pierwsze kilkanaście minut zerkałem od czasu do czasu we wsteczne lusterko czy nie zostawiłem przypadkiem zderzaka lub progów, ale później po oswojeniu się z samochodem mogłem w pełni czerpać radość z prowadzenia go. Oczywiście nie można mieć wszystkiego &#8211; prześwit jest tak niski, że podjeżdżanie pod krawężnik wymaga od kierowcy nie mniejszego skupienia niż przeszczep serca od chirurga. <img title="Seat Leon Cupra" src="http://wgrzesiak.com/GALERIE/LEON/images/11.jpg" alt="Seat Leon Cupra" hspace="10" vspace="10" width="181" height="120" align="left" /></p>
<p>Ten Leon jest typowym demo carem. Jest głośny, szybki i niepraktyczny. Nadaje się bardziej do jazdy po torze i autostradach, ponieważ jadąc nim w polskim mieście trzeba by jeszcze mieć bokserski ochraniacz szczęki, aby zęby nie powybijały się nawzajem. Z drugiej jednak strony nie jest mu straszne nawet Porsche, co udało mi się sprawdzić. Jako drugi albo trzeci samochód chętnie bym go widział w swoim garażu.</p>

<p>A iniciativa mais legal da campanha “The ‘10 Unleashed” para o novo Ford Mustang é essa: colocar jogadores de videogame para experimentar a vida real. A Ford criou uma competição para escolher os quatro melhores jogadores de “Need For Speed Shift”, caras apaixonados por carros e por games de corrida. <p><strong>Description</strong>: You can raise your bounty as much as you want and complete that part of your milestones.<br />
<strong>How to</strong>: Get in a pursuit and then find a ledge (ex. on top of the buses at the bus station) go as closes to the end of the buses away from the up ramp as possible without falling off and without a cop following you up the ramp. Then sit there and watch the cops go crazy. It&#8217;s better if your heat is 2 or up as the lower level cops will sometimes lose sight of you and you will cool off. At higher levels though the police will hover below you ramming into each other and everything else. This destroys their vehicles which in turn raises you bounty and length of your pursuit. You can sit there as long as you like but check behind you periodically just to make sure one of them hasn&#8217;t gotten smart enough to come up the ramp. The highest I&#8217;ve gotten off one pursuit is almost 6 million bounty.</p>

<p>From the &#8220;Press Start&#8221; screen, press <strong> Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right</strong>. If you entered the code correctly, a message will appear stating that you have unlocked a &#8220;Special Challenge Event&#8221; will appear. From <strong>MAIN MENU</strong>, select the &#8220;Challenge Series&#8221; option. Scroll all the way to the bottom and choose #59, the Burger King Challenge. Complete the challenge to be able to use all Junkman parts on cars you have in &#8220;My Cars&#8221;. *** Before applying Junkman parts, press X in the performance parts place to get them as high as they can go, then apply Junkman to each part. By doing this, it gives better stat raises</p>

<p>If you are a Ford Mustang fan on facebook, you have probably already seen this video about four guys racing with Stangs on a Need For Speed game and later in a real track. I don&#8217;t know how much it is true video and how much it is an advertisement (probably 40:60), but I wish I could be one of them for that day. I heard people saying that after filming they got those Mustangs as the presents.<br />

Ford held a competition to find the best Need For Speed gamers, had the top four practice driving a Mustang in the game, then took them to a track to see who could come closest to their times in a real car. From the clips of them practicing virtually—um, and why the hell are they playing with controllers instead of wheels?—I was thinking the poor Ponys selected for this stunt were going to wind up in the crusher, but the Ford folks wisely chose to do this on a course without barriers.</p>
