Looking back: Beginning sewing with needle books and pincushions!

Before I go forwards with learning I’d like to go back a step or two to share the two very first things I sewed.

Sew Selfless September: A sewing kit

My sister leaves in two weeks for university, and doesn’t have anything resembling a sewing kit. Not even some black/white thread and a needle. She can definitely hand sew to mend her clothes as she sometimes borrows my stuff to do so. 735 more words

Finished a mini needle book

In February of 2013 I went to Williamsburg for a stitching retreat.  I took a class from Barbara Jackson called “Sweet Heart of Mine”.  I finished the stitching for the main piece, the floss purse, and the stitching for the needle book.   116 more words
