Hello Students.

Today we will learn about Human Heart. Do you know what is Human Heart and how does it works.

The heart is a hollow, cone-shaped muscle that’s about the size of an adult fist and usually found to the left of our breastbone. The heart is the most important organ in our body. It is basically a complex pump, responsible for circulating blood, oxygen and nutrients around the body.

The heart muscle contracts in two stages to squeeze blood out of the heart. This is known as systole.

* In the first stage, the upper chambers (atria) contract at the same time, pushing blood down into the lower chambers (ventricles).

* Blood is pumped from the right atrium down into the right ventricle and from the left atrium down into the left ventricle.

* In the second stage, the lower chambers contract to push this blood out of the heart to either the body via your main artery (aorta) or to the lungs to pick up oxygen.

The heart then relaxes – known as diastole. Blood fills up the heart again, and the whole process, which takes a fraction of a second, is repeated. The different sides of the heart have different functions.

* On the right side, the upper chamber fills with oxygen-depleted blood from your body and pushes it via the lower chamber and the pulmonary artery back to the lungs. Here blood picks up oxygen and releases carbon dioxide.

* On the left side, the upper chamber fills with oxygen-rich blood from the lungs. This is pumped via the lower chamber into the aorta and out to the body to provide cells with the crucial oxygen they need.

Hello Students! Today we are sharing something imortant on Electrochemistry. Do you know what is Ele

Hello Students!

Today we are sharing something imortant on Electrochemistry. Do you know what is Electrochemistry? Lets have a look.

Electrochemistry is a branch of chemistry which deals with the study of relationship between electrical energy and chemical energy. Oxidation is the addition of oxygen, removal of hydrogen, or the removal of electrons from an element or compound. Thus oxidation is de – electronation.

Some points related to Electrochemistry.

* Reduction :- Reduction is the removal of oxygen, addition of hydrogen, or the gain of electrons from an element or compound. Thus reduction is electronation.

* Redox Reaction :- A reaction in which both an oxidation and reduction takes place simultaneously is known as redox reaction.

* Electrolysis :- A process in which a non – spontaneous redox chemical reaction is made to take place by supplying electrical energy is called electrolysis.

* Electrolytic cell Or Voltameter :- A device used to convert electrical energy into chemical energy is called electrolytic cell. e.g. a ] Voltameter used to carry out electrolysis of acidified water b] A device for electroplating process.

* Electrochemical Cell :- A device used to convert chemical energy into electrical energy is called electrochemical cell. In this cell oxidation – reduction reactions are used for the generation of electricity. These cells are also known as voltaic or galvanic cell or Electrogenic cell. Example Daniell cell, Dry cell etc.

* Electrolyte :- Any substance which, when in solution or in molten state will conduct an electric current is called an electrolyte . Acids, bases, and salts are common electrolytes.

* Non Electrolyte :- Any substance which, when in solution or in molten state will not conduct an electric current is called non – electrolyte . Rubber, Plastic are non electrolytes.

* Electrodes :- The metallic or non – metallic rods immersed i09on the electrolyte, which conduct the electric current (i.e. flow of electrons) to and from the electrolyte to the battery or mains are called as electrodes. Carbon (graphite) and platinum electrodes are inert i.e. they do not dissolve into electrolyte in electrolysis.

* Cathode :- It is an electrode which is connected to the negative pole of the battery. Positive ions take up electrons from cathode and get discharged. Positive ions are discharged at the cathode, hence they are called cations.

* Anode :- It is an electrode which is connected to the positive pole of the battery. On passing electric current, negative ions travel towards the positive electrode or anode. Negative ions supply their electrons to anode and get discharged hence, they are called anions.

Science is still a very mysterious subject so there are millions of trait facts about it. Today we are sharing some interesting facts about Science.

* There are 62,000 miles of blood vessels in the human body – laid end to end they would circle the earth 2.5 times

* At over 2000 kilometers long, The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on Earth

* The risk of being struck by a falling meteorite for a human is one occurrence every 9,300 years

* A thimbleful of a neutron star would weigh over 100 million ton

* A typical hurricane produces the energy equivalent of 8,000 one megaton bomb

* Blood sucking hookworms inhabit 700 million people worldwide

* We can produce laser light a million times brighter than sunshine

* 65% of those with autism are left handed

* The combined length of the roots of a Finnish pine tree is over 30 mile

* The oceans contain enough salt to cover all the continents to a depth of nearly 500 feet

* Polar Bears can run at 25 miles an hour and jump over 6 feet in the air

* 60-65 million years ago dolphins and humans shared a common ancestor

* Polar Bears are nearly undetectable by infrared cameras, due to their transparent fur

* The average person accidentally eats 430 bugs each year of their life

* A single rye plant can spread up to 400 miles of roots underground

* The temperature on the surface of Mercury exceeds 430 degrees C during the day, and, at night, plummets to minus 180 degrees centigrade

* The evaporation from a large oak or beech tree is from ten to twenty-five gallons in twenty-four hours

* Butterflies taste with their hind feet, and their taste sensation works on touch – this allows them to determine whether a leaf is edible

Hello Students!

Do you know about the “P” language? It’s a game children play in school where they use the letter ‘p’ in between all the letters of the word. It’s very difficult at the start but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy and is a lot of fun to play with.

Success has a ‘p’ language of its own? Do you know it? Add the ‘P’ to each letter of the word and have fun!

‘S’ – Plan. Only when you know where you want to go can you go there and reach it. So first things first, set your goal. Understand the direction you want to start treading. Be specific. Your goal can’t be I want to be happy in life. It has to be concrete like, want to positively touch lives of a million people through my profession and blog and that would make me happy.

‘U’ – Passion. Love what you do because only then can you do it well. If your heart is not there your head can’t support you for too long. Intellectually we can only achieve moderate success but when our heart and soul is in what we do, sky is also not the limit…. the universe probably is!

‘C’ – Patience. “Patience is a virtue.” They teach us that in school and we forget all about it the moment we are out of school! We are forever in a hurry to do. Do whatever comes our way as long as we ‘do’! Relax, wait, watch… things will go your way.

‘C’ – Persistence. In the rat race to achieve we forget that the tortoise won the race (remember the fable about the hare and the tortoise). Most of us try to become the hare, have a burnout and sleep. The successful are slow and steady (steady being the key word) Things will not always go as per plan but keep at it. Persistence pays in more ways than one.

‘E’ – Praise. Appreciate your efforts every single small or big step of the way. Most of us only focus at how far we still are from our goal rather than how close we’ve come to it. Imagine if you had to climb a ladder looking only at the top. Chances are you’ll miss a step and fall backwards. Watch your step, focus only on the next step and once you’ve climbed it, smile and tell yourself “good job done”. Before you know it, you’ll be right on top!

‘S’ – Positivity. Keep your mind positive. Read positive literature, hear positive music, watch positive movies, write positive stuff. There is plenty of positive around, find it within and outside of you and use it. When you fill yourself with positivity your environment will automatically begin to become positive and together positive growth will happen.

‘S’ – Pray. Whether you are an atheist or you believe in God, trust the fact that there is an energy unknown to us which supports us. Believe in it and keep the faith. Your trust in yourself and the energy will give you the strength to plan, be passionate, patient, persistent, praise worthy and positive.

So go ahead and bring your childhood back. Play the game of SpUpCpCpEpSpSp. You’ll come out a winner for sure!

Keep visitng www.ednexa.com

Hello Students!

Today we are coming with some interesting facts about Maths. You are wrong if you think Mathematics is not fun. Lets see

*A sphere has two sides. However, there are one-sided surfaces.

*There are shapes of constant width other than the circle. One can even drill square holes.

*There are just five regular polyhedra

*In a group of 23 people, at least two have the same birthday with the probability greater than 1/2

*Everything you can do with a ruler and a compass you can do with the compass alone

*Among all shapes with the same perimeter a circle has the largest area.

*There are curves that fill a plane without holes

*Much as with people, there are irrational, perfect, complex numbers

*As in philosophy, there are transcendental numbers

*As in the art, there are imaginary and surreal numbers

*A straight line has dimension 1, a plane – 2. Fractals have mostly fractional dimension.

*Mathematics studies neighborhoods, groups and free groups, rings, ideals, holes, poles and removable poles, trees, growth.

*Mathematics also studies models, shapes, curves, cardinals, similarity, consistency, completeness, space.

*Among objects of mathematical study are heredity, continuity, jumps, infinity, infinitesimals, paradoxes.

*Last but not the least, Mathematics studies stability, projections and values, values are often absolute but may also be extreme, local or global.

*Trigonometry aside, Mathematics comprises fields like Game Theory, Braids Theory, Knot Theory and more

*Some numbers are square, yet others are triangular

*12+3-4+5+67+8+9=100 and there exists at least one other representation of 100 with 9 digits in the right order and math operations in between

*One can cut a pie into 8 pieces with three movements

Program=Algorithms+Data Structures

*There is something the dead eat but if the living eat it, they die.

*A clock never showing right time might be preferable to the one showing right time twice a day

*Among all shapes with the same area circle has the shortest perimeter

Hello Students,

As per the recent directive, Directorate of the Maharashtra State Secondary Education has made it mandatory for class 11th and 12th standard students to have at least 70% attendance. Students won’t be able to bunk lectures any more.

Dr. Shridhar Salunkhe, Directorate of Maharashtra State Secondary Education, said that Students should have 70 % attendance if they wish to appear for final exams of 11th and 12th std.

On the other hand, action will also be taken against those teachers who are giving preference to Coaching classes instead of Junior colleges.

This, indeed is a welcome move that will make the system give enough importance to college studies. Next year, admissions to engineering colleges might be based on marks of 12th std. exam. In that scenario, college studies will assume even more importance.
