Time for yet another Swedish up and coming rising star to get some well deserved attention here at Pure Disco Shit. His name is Jeremy Olander and we wont be surprised if you’ve heard his name before. The Stockholm based producer and DJ has been keeping busy for quite some time now and on January 26 you will be able to reap the fruits of his labor when he releases his debut tune on Nellie Recordings. It’s entitled Bladerunner and features a remix of Matheus Komar.

Earlier this morning, I was contacted by a Swedish record label; Nellie Recordings. They have reached out to me, said they were fans of my blog, and politely asked me if I would be interested in promoting Alaa, who is a producer signed to their record label. At first, I thought to myself, well if the songs are techno, minimal, or anything in-between, sure, why not, I am always interested in building networks with new people and reaching out to wider audiences… It’s what promoters do, right? That is what’s it all about. So I downloaded the tracks that were e-mailed to me, and realized they were progressive in style, really beautiful melodies mixed with that climaxing peak that takes the night at the club to a whole new level.

Truth be told, I have always listened to anything that gets me moving and englightens my mood. From trance, breakbeat, tri-hop, you name it… all the way to classics and old-school goodies. I mean who could say they didn’t hear and absolutely fancied Stardust’s “Music Sounds Better With You” or Eddie Amador’s “House Music”? I can bet you this is the kind of shit half of us grew up to and still remember the first time we fell in love with this music. Maybe that was what got you into house music. And that is why I will always look out to promote new artists, as long as it is something I feel is worth putting out and advertising. I am not making any money out of this, I do it for the love of music and getting new members into what we share, and introducing them to “The Jack”, and expanding their hearing styles into new dimensions.

Confession time. I had guilt trips lately because I do realize I am giving away songs for free, songs that make money to the artists, but all the songs I have put out, I have all purchased myself with my own money, because I couldn’t do it any other way. I don’t have it in me. That is why I am hoping that maybe some of you will have enough common sense and decency in you, that if you like the track you downloaded, to purchase it on Beatport or any other legal media outlet you prefer. I mean, it just feels right, you know? I know some of you may not have money for all the tracks you download, others may be underage, have no credit card, could be million reasons, right? All I am asking you, just being honest, that if you like the songs, please support the artists, DJs, producers, and show them how much we care, because we do make a difference. Each and every one of us. Believe it or not, but we do. And I am firm believer in that.

Hency why, I am bringing you today these wonderful tracks and hoping that we could all keep spreading the love of house music, keep supporting the artists who put so much time and effort into giving us tunes that make our nights be remembered for years and years to come. You and myself know it’s worth it. That’s why we are here right now, reading this blog.
