da, opet taj VA, njihove kompilacije ciji se broj vjerojatno proteze u beskonacnost. medutim, ova ovdje, VA crazy compilation2 je pravo osvjezenje: electronica, glitch, electro, idm, atmosphere itd su samo neki od zanrova koji su setu nasli.  ovu zanimljivu kompilaciju je izdao Crazy Language records na archive.org-u na, pa razumije se, free download, i vec je danima na mojoj tracklisti. ima nekih trackova koji su skroz spaljeni, neki pak skroz emocionalni, neki snoviti, neki ovo neki ono. meni se npr posebno svida  migloJE – Dew-m.Baritas, ili npr. Spenza – Gob (koju sam znao i prije cesto zavrtjeti u glitch hop setovima), pa je tu Nikka – Electric Force, stvar u dobroj staroj maniri atmospheric-trip hop-electronice. ukratko, eto sto kaze sam izdavac: Crazy Language releases this inspiring compilation of IDM Electronica. Producers from unexpected corners of the earth surprise with a remarkable range of sounds.  It’s a sonic excursion that moves from ambient  film-soundscapes to abstract glitch, all accompanied  by more than a few quality beats. Check it!

pa da ne duljimo, eto VA crazy compilation2

eto, kao sto obecah. ok, ipak je malo ranije izasao, dakle ne tamo slijedece godine u ovo doba. morao sam se pozuriti jer je sad dan opet kraci, a po mraku ne vidim sta radim. a i da i ja jednom prekrsim ono svoje “sto mozes danas, ostavi za sutra”. ok, to je sto se tice baljezganja. idemo sad o mjuzi, tocnije, o albumu.

sacred times part II je, kao sto kaze i samo ime, drugi dio nedavno objavljenog prvog dijela na jamendu , jednim od najvecih i najrazvijenijih netlabelova na ovom divnom novom svijetu. sam album je nastao kao i prvi: brizljivo birani trackovi od hrpe njih koje su nastale iz moje kucne radionice, i mislim da sam uspio u svojoj namjeri prezentiranja onog  najzanimljivijeg od mojih starijih radova. tu ima laganih easy-listening trackova, tipicne elektronike i idm-a u maniri warp recordsa, pa do nekih amontobinovskih tipa stvar “house light for mystery man” ili “story without conclusion”. cijela pak prica albuma kao da  krece od laganih prema sve brzim, zescim stvarima da bi se pred kraj opet polako usporila i zavrsila sa ambient trackom “sound fluctuations”. no ipak, tocka na i je “plug ins megaparty”, razuzdana idm stvar koju bismo mogli nazvat i nekom vrstom bonus tracka.

whatever, mislim da sam kroz prvi i sada ovaj drugi dio uspio prezentirati kakvu sam mjuzu prije radio, u kojem smjeru je to sve islo, ali i u kojem smjeru to sve i dalje ide. ustvari, ovo zadnje zna samo dragi bog, pa o tome necu previse naklapati. umjesto toga, prestajem ovdje sa tekstom, zavrsavam sa zahvalom antoniju hadrovicu, brzom i neumornom dizajneru i naravno, sa linkom na Sacred Times part II

sto je to sveto…gdje??? pa sad, nije bas da je uistinu sveto, bolje reci emocionalno vrijedno, a rijec je o zadnjem albumu roberta radamanta, tj moje malenkosti, uratku koji sam kao brizljivo kompilirao posljednjih mjeseci. ok, serem, godinama, samo sto sam to zadnjih par mjeseci radio onako, zaozbiljno (sto bi se ono reklo).  rekao sam da mi je to zadnji album, a ustvari mi je prvi. prvi album u smislu u kojem to jedan album vec jest. do sada sam samo pojedine stvari objavljivao po netlabelovima,  onda jedan EP nazvan oximoron (takoder na netlabelu Jamendo), i sada eto i taj album nazvan sacred times. i cak postoji odreden razlog zasto je tako nazvan, ali vam to necu reci. necu. fakat necu i da mi ne znam sto date, nema sanse da… ok, sad je bilo dosta, brijem gluposti. eto razlog u narednim recima.

na albumu sacred times su samo stvari starije od dvije godine, a neke su cak i medu mojim prvim, nesto normalnije produciranim radovima. a upravo prvi radovi su oni koji su me tada totalno zanosili, bacali me ispred kompa, lupali mi u glavi dok bih hodao po ulicama, dok bih pio pivu i pravio se da slusam sto se prica; te stvari su me furale kao neki neizmislivi dop, dok sam sam bio budan kao i dok sam spavao. ono, fakat me to bacalo u neku ludu euforiju. stvaralacku euforiju. i prirodno, tada se nisam mogao zaustaviti: po cijele dane sam samo radio mjuzu, slazuci zvuk na zvuk, ulazio u njega, najdublje sto se moze uci u zvuk, prckao tamo po njemu i konacno ga onda izmjenio da zvuci kako sad vec zvuci. to su bili noci i dani slaganja ritmova i melodija; sati i sati biranja zvukova koji bi sad bas najbolje sjeli na ovom dijelu stvari na kojoj sam vec radio. i koliko god energije ulagao u to, sve sam je vise dobivao natrag od samog tog rada. iako bi naravno i koja para dobro sjela, sada, kada se vratim u te dane, ne znam da li bih uopce znao koliko i kako naplatiti te ludacke osjecaje. tu su onda naravno i suradnje sa drugim producentima i dj-ima, pa nastupi koji su uslijedili i radi kojih sam hrpu toga proputovao, dozivio, i radi kojih sam, na kraju to sto danas vec jesam. u tom smislu, ti stari radovi ponekada sumnjive produkcije su sveti – za mene – a mozda ce i u nekom drugom nesto pokrenuti. ako je to  samo jedno dizanje obrva uz fini glasan  “heh” i gutljaj rakije da se zaboravi sto je maloprije uslo u uho, ok, barem sam pridonio zdravom zivotu te osobe, a ako ce netko nakon sto preslusa taj album puknuti, napraviti si krila i skakati sa zgrade, moj duh ce uistinu biti svoj na svome. anyway, rekoh sam sebi: – let it be! i ne samo to, nego i: for free. (let it bee for free. hm… dobro ime za stvar…)

sad, iako ovo jest album za sebe, on to opet i nije, jer je ovo prvi dio albuma sacred days. drugi ce uslijediti uskoro. treba jos malo proprckati po produkciji, po masteringu i tako to, ali uglavnom, ne bi trebalo proci mnogo vremena do objave drugog dijela. (znaci, tamo slijedece godine u ovo doba…) do onda, see ya, bee nice one to each other kids, stay well & for the end: whatever you do, don’t be just another brick in the wall.

Hola amigo. Las vacaciones  cansan, y en algún momento tendré que volver al día a día.

Ayer me vi implicado en un debate a través de twitter. Es fantástico. No te enteras de mucho de lo que se dice en el debate real, nada más que de ciertas frases seleccionadas por el personal encargado de twittear la jornada. El evento en cuestión es el 2º taller de la música y está teniendo lugar en Valencia.

En concreto ayer hicieron una mesa redonda con los siguientes invitados con los siguientes mensajes de partida:

Juan Jiménez (director de Software Marketing de Sony Computer Entertainment España):
“La música en el ocio electrónico”.
Mario Rigote (director de La Central Digital): “Venta y distribución online”.
Kiko Fuentes (ex director general de Warner Music Spain): “Radios a la carta en la red”.
Christian Negre (codirector de Netaudio.es): “Netlabels (discográficas digitales)”.

Como digo, seguir la charla por twitter es una experiencia desconcertante, pero la sensación es que no se diferenció mucho de esta otra, en la que hay unos “colegas” ranciotes defendiendo el “negocio” actual y metiendo miedo al público en general diciendo: “buuu, se acaba la músicaaa, internet es malooo, el emule nos lleva derechitos al infiernooo, spotify se hundeee” (mi mecanismo de traducción instantánea actúa y yo solo oigo: “mi empresa no produce los resultados esperados, como otras muchísimas”). Mientras, hay en una esquina un invitado testimonial que está en el presente y tiene relación con el mundo digital, en el caso de radio nacional era Enrique Dans, en lo de ayer en valencia sería Christian Negre de netaudio, con una visión completamente realista, hablando desde la sinceridad de sus creencias y no intentando torcer un poquito esa realidad para seguir exprimiendo un poco más ese negocio que tan bien les fue en el pasado. Lo que dicen Enrique y Christian son verdades como puños. La gente no piratea, no se descarga música de forma ilegal (no es ilegal según la legislación y casi nadie va en barco con parche). La gente tiene el contenido digital en el ordenador al instante, en cuanto lo quiere. Esto ya lo dije en un post anterior. Nos gusta compartir lo que nos gusta oir.

A modo de resumen de lo que pasó en Valencia el título: “2º Taller de la Música “El nuevo modelo musical”. Piratería, descargas ilegales, intercambios P2P e industria musical. De la crisis a la oportunidad”

Esta tarde en Valencia hay otra mesa redonda donde están invitados Borja Prieto (director de contenidos MySpace), Arturo Castelló (director de Canales Corporativos), Víctor Domingo (presidente de la Asociación de Internautas),  Ignacio Escolar (ex director del periódico Público). A lo mejor lo vuelvo a seguir por twitter, dependiendo de lo que aguante la batería del miniportátil en la playa y lo pesados que se pongan los fans con los autógrafos, y eso que me dejé barba. Pero no prometo nada, me da mucha pereza.

Bueno, estuvo bien para abrir boca sobre lo que va a venir este curso que empieza.

En breve nuevas críticas de la mejor música libre. ¿Debe existir alguna música que no sea libre?

Eso sí sería un debate interesante.

as the headline says, i published two new (freaky!) tracks on www.archive.org, the  free and openly accessible online digital library, including an archive of the World Wide Web. besides this new tracks, there you can find many other of my works, and from many other artists. an excellent place to research and collect music, texts, books and many other stuff.

but let’s go back to my new tracks. one of them is an untypical d’n'b song with some elements of IDM and something a little noisy.  all the time there’s a female voice sounding like a hot bitch having flamingly sex. at least it sounds so to me…  moreover, the song got an intrigued name “lust for lust”.

the other track has an intrigued name too, called “wrestling fucking loving”. this is a track that includes hip hop rhythms, industrial sounds, etno melodies, noisy sounds, heavy basslines, and something i can’t describe right now. anyway, under the track stands electronica-glitch hop-IDM, so, maybe thats the best illustration what it might be.

Antina Michels

Das Phänomen Netaudio wird erstmals aus ethnologischer Sicht untersucht.

Anhand ihres vielfältigen empirischen Materials stellt Antina Michels anschaulich dar, auf welche Art und Weise Netaudio produziert, wofür Netlabels genutzt werden und wie deren Akteure in lokalen und transnationalen Netzwerken kommunizieren und kooperieren.

Die Studie verdeutlicht an zwei prägnanten Fallbeispielen – den nicht-profitorientierten Netlabeln Pentagonik und Pulsar -, wie alternative Modelle zur konventionellen Musikindustrie entstehen. Musiker, Künstler, Netlabelbetreiber und Veranstalter schließen sich europa- und zunehmend auch weltweit in sozialen Netzwerken zusammen.

Sie leben und erproben so zeitgemäße Formen von On- und Offline-Vergemeinschaftung. Diese Pionierarbeit zeigt auf, wie die Netaudio-Szene das Netzwerk nutzt, um ihre Ideen und Ideale erfolgreich umzusetzen.
