It didn’t take long for Otis and I to combine our two favorite games.  We’ve amended something I saw Brandon Barker and his friends playing last week.

Here’s the game :

POKER FROLF

First we had to establish a handicap for the players.  I’m a few shots better than Otis and he, we thought, would be a few better than this guy.

That assumption was pretty far off as you’ll see later.

- The goal is to accumulate cards from a deck carried by one player on a hole-by-hole basis.

- At the end of the round, the best five card hand wins.

- A player does not need to have 5 cards to win.  A single ACE could be the best hand.

Now for the handicaps :

For “eltreedr” :

Gets 1 card for every birdie.  Loses a card for every 2 bogies and loses 1 for each double, two for a triple etc.

For Otis :

Gets 1 card for every birdie.  Gets 1 card for every 2 pars.  Loses one for each 2 bogies and 1 for a double and so forth.

For this guy :

2 cards for a birdie.  1 card for every par.  No penalty for bogies.  1 card lost for each double, and two for a triple etc.

RESULTS :

I earned two cards on the front and promptly lost them back on the back 9.  I did end the game with two cards but my 4 and 8 weren’t competitive.

Otis got shutout.  He did get a par on 17 to get halfway to a card but then lost it back with a lousy 18.

This guy won with two pair.  Kings and 10s.  He actually finished with 6 cards.

Lame.  He was over-spotted and we’ll have to adjust the handicap to make it work.

Still had a blast and will be playing it again very very soon.

Hey penguins! If you’re looking for the new pin,  just head to the coffee shop and you should be able to see it as soon as you walk in.

It looks delicious; don’t you think? I suddenly have a craving for a warm hot chocolate, with LOADS of whipped cream, chocolate flakes and hundreds and thousands (sprinkles).

A glorious day for Zamorak! Today we bring you an update we’ve been talking about for quite some time; the first single-player campaign for Armies of Gielinor is now available. Lead the Zamorakian horde after the god returns to Runescape, and battle the forces of Saradomin and other armies in order to conquer Hallowvale.

The update features a map-driven, dynamic campaign, allowing you to complete it in any number of ways. Each mission rewards you with a different upgrade, providing trinkets, additional unit types to summon, or a mana boost that you can use in other battles.

This campaign is available to free players and members alike, and there are six Achievements for you to collect. Each mission can be played multiple times even if already completed, allowing you to perfect your skills and get a position in the Highscore tables! By the way, your progress in an ongoing mission is saved automatically, even if you log out.

So head on over to Armies of Gielinor and ready your army for battle. Hallowvale will burn!

Lots of you are already Card-Jitsu Fire experts!

But I wanted to give you some game info in case you haven’t

had a chance to play the new game in the Fire Dojo yet:

General Stuff:

There are practice mats for 2, 3, and 4 players.

You can play with friends there.

If you talk to Sensei, and you pick the

“Earn your Fire Suit” option, he’ll set up a match.

You get more experience points if you do this.

You can enter new offline trading card codes and

you’ll get cards added to your online deck.

You won’t see the animations in the Card-Jitsu Fire game

but you can see them if you’re playing the original Card-Jitsu game.

How to Play:

On your turn, select the stone which determines the spaces you move,

choose your tile (you have 2 options), and then you’ll pick your card to determine

the outcome of the round.

If you land on one of these, – choose a card.

The highest number wins.

If you don’t have the element, you cannot win that round.

If you end up with this symbol, or if you land on the same space as an opponent,

You’re going to have a Card-Jitsu battle the elements determine the winner

(water beats fire, etc. as in the original Card-Jitsu).

If you end up on this symbol, 

you get to choose which of the 3 elements you’d like to play!

If you’re playing and someone quits, you get the experience points.

If you quit, you don’t get any points.

With all this exciting fire stuff,

don’t forget the important element of snow.

QUESTION OF THE DAY????

WHAT ARE YOU EATING FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER TOMORROW????

(if your not celebrating tomorrow, then what are you doing tomorrow?)

Hey everyone!

The official game is out! Have you tested your skills?

• Step 1. Go to the Fire Dojo.
• Step 2. Talk to Sensei.
• Step 3. get your deck of cards and battle for your Fire Ninja suit.
• Step 4. (cont. below)

This is a new 2,3, and 4 multi-player game! It’s like Low card High card; High card wins. When it’s your turn, 6 rock stones appear from the lava. Choose one. Once this happens, 2 stones from the larger circle will light up with your color (yellow). Then, you choose one of those stones.  If it’s fire, you want to choose the highest Fire card you have. The same goes to snow and water. If you get the 2 blue cards like the picture above, you battle card-jitsu with an apponent. You first get your shoes, body wear, face wear, and head wear. Once you’ve gotten your complete suit, battle Sensei. At the end, your fire suit will look like so:

When you finally get your complete battle suit, there is something special that happens. On your amulet, the fire stone is marked and turns red.

Pretty cool, right? Later this week I will be adding this, and more to the Guide page. So if everything isn’t here, I’ll be adding EVERYTHING to the Guide page, under Card-Jitsu!

Another thing is, that with every win, you gain about 10-15%. This may vary, depending on different reasons. When you get your body suit, gainint percentages is a lot harder! You get about 5% for every win. By winning I mean:

Talk to Sensei to get some more cards and start training! Click on his suit and amulet to learn more.

Sensei does not make it very clear what the rules are, so here they are.

Instead of belts, Sensei gives fire gear.

Flame Sandals

Magma Coat

Lava Mask

Fiery Helmet

You will have to train to get the pieces like in standard Card Jitsu.

Once you get everything, challenge Sensei. If you win, you will get a gem for your amulet.

The amulet is the key to mastering the elements. As you continue, you will earn the Water and Snow gems as well. That means that there will be other rooms like this!

How to Play

You will start the game off with 2-4 players around a kind of circle stage. In the top left corner, you can see your penguin and your fire energies. Each person starts off with 6 energies.

Color of the card and special affects of power cards do not matter in Card Jitsu Fire.

When it is your turn, click on one of the stone slabs in the middle of the circle.

Under the stone you click will be a number. This the number of spaces you can move around the circle. Choose if you want to move left or right.

If you land on a fire, water, or snow space, you will begin a battle with that element with all the other players.

Pick a card of that type. The highest number wins. The person with the highest card keeps their energy points while everyone else loses one. If there is a tie for highest number with 2 or more people, everyone else will lose a point.

There are other special spaces, the duel spaces and the choose your own element space.

If you land on a duel space, you get to pick someone to duel with.

If you land on the same space as another person, you duel with them regardless of what the space you landed on is.

When you duel, it is like standard Card Jitsu, fire beats snow and whatnot, so you can pick any of your cards. If you win the duel, you get to TAKE one of your opponent’s energy.

On the choose your own element space, you get to pick if you want a fire, water, or snow battle.

One more thing, if you get engaged in a battle that you don’t have an element of. Like say, you get in a fire battle but you don’t have any fire cards. Then this symbol would appear.

This means that you are bound to lose this round. Pick a lame, low card to recycle, because whatever card you pick will be discarded automatically.

If you’re a member ninja and have the mask and the Amulet,

head to the Fire Dojo now for the chance to play Card-Jitsu Fire first!!

4 ninjas can play all at once – If you want to practice with friends,

you can go to the mats – or if you want to earn your Fire Suit, talk to Sensei!

There are a couple of different types of battles you can have on the game board.

Well Club Penguin made it up to us for being so late on the new catalogs, because the new fire jitsu game is out! Its alot of fun, but when you first start playing its a little bit hard. But you catch on fast! You don’t earn belts, you earn your fire outfit! Its really cool and creative, Club penguin did a great job! I feel really bad for all the NON members who can’t play it. But here are some pictures from inside the game.

Hi everyone!

It’s Screenhog again.

If you haven’t been there yet,you might want to check out the

construction for the Card-Jitsu Fire game.

It’s our newest multiplayer game and it’ll launch November 24th!

You might not know, but multiplayer games are pretty

complicated to make.

Only one other game in Club Penguin supports 4 players Sled Racing.

Up to 4 ninjas will be able to play

together in Card-Jitsu Fire and the team’s been

working really, really hard to get it ready.

Since the new game starts next week,I wanted to try and cover a few

things you’ve asked about:

· Card-Jitsu Fire isn’t just about new cards.

It’s a whole new way of using all your cards in a Fire Ninja setting.

· You’ll be using the cards you have already collected.

But it’s not just Fire cards – you’ll be able to master the

element of fire but you’ll have to use all the elements to do so.

If you’ve got questions, please ask in the comments and I’ll try to

answer as many as I can.

And remember, you’ve got to be a ninja and get the Amulet to play!

I was on the homepage when I saw there was new newz so I went to check it out.  The Club Penguin Team is going to finish up the new Fire part of the Dojo. IF you want to see the video you can find it at http://www.clubpenguin.com/card-jitsu/

To get into the new Fire Dojo you must:

Get your black belt

Challenge and beat Sensei

Buy the Amulet, click the stone with fire then a door should come up go into it.

Here is the picture they gave me.

It looks nicely drawn Sensei must be an artist. In the new game four penguins can play, but you can still enter the codes.

The game is developed by turn 10 and the publisher is microsoft. it is released only on Xbox 360 and it’s cost is Rs.2,499. it has got rated 4/5. It is a racing sim, the most noticeable feature is that it can rewind few seconds of the race. it offers a variety of assists, it has automatic braking,  traction control and overlays  that suggest when and where you should slow down. there are 400 cars available in the start but you have to earn enough money to buy them. It has awesome race tracks, detailed modeling and the ability to paint whatever you like on your car. There is in car cockpit view which is really great. sometimes the game loads slowly. Overall the game is great.

Since the video came out,

lots of you have been asking how to

get ready to play the new game.

The first step to is to become a ninja:

* Head to the Dojo to train*

After you earn your belts and

beat Sensei, he’ll give you your Ninja Mask

Once you’re a ninja,

get the golden Amulet and head to the new Fire Dojo!

I can’t give away all the surprises.

but I can tell you that up to 4 ninjas can play at once!!

And just like in the original Card-Jitsu game,

you’ll be able to enter codes from your

offline cards to add to your online collection.

DO YOU LIKE THE NEW PLAY AND THE COSTUMES????

The volcano room is open now, but, as predicted, it is only for members.

This makes me extremely mad, because, first of all, fire is an awesome element. It really isn’t one single state of matter; it isn’t a solid, because you can’t actually hold it in your hand and manipulate it.  It isn’t a liquid, because it changes shape constantly without changing container. And it isn’t a gas, because if it was, it wouldn’t just stay in the one place where you started it, it would float off. Also, fire can burn whole buildings down to the ground in less than an hour (not that that’s a good thing, but it’s worth mentioning). I am also extremely mad because this is the first time Club Penguin has ever made a special job (ex: ninja, secret agent, tour guide) only availible to members. Yes, member ninjas have special privileges (buying ninja clothes and furniture, turning invisible), but nonmembers can’t even BE fire ninjas.

As I said in an earlier post, this could either make it really easy or really hard for us. A lot of nonmembers will be tempted to get themselves a membership just for this event. We really need to discourage them to do that, because if they don’t buy memberships, Disney doesn’t get as much money. On the other hand, many nonmembers will be as mad as we are, so they will join us. We could form riots at the entrance to the Volcano to get people’s attention.

There is a new play at the stage. It is called ‘Norman Swarm Has Been Transformed’. Yes, it’s a terrible name. Only Disney could have come up with something as hideous as that. But, remember how the newspaper said there was going to be a special Gnome Room, and we thought it was going to be only for members? Well, the good news is, it isn’t!

It is kind of boring, but at least it has the new pin.
