On Sunday I went to Nottingham to see the Arctic Monkeys Live and they were fucking amazing!. I preferred the much up tempo songs such as “pretty visitors” and “View from the afternoon” as oppose to “Cornerstone” because the immense noise and power in their performance. The classics were met with Sweaty moshing and a collection of voices.  All though the best song by far in my opinion was “pretty visitors” so here it is in its raw form.

I did a review on this electro mistro a couple of  weeks ago and i predicted “one hit wonder” and guess what folks my fears were confirmed with this monstrosity of a record. Now i know what your thinking “here he comes putting in his pennies worth and shooting down a rising star”

Owl City – Umbrella Beach — score 5/10

Oh goodie look who came crawling back with a new single! You remember these guys dont you, the guys who made “A-Punk”, oh so you now remember (sorry for bringing back that horrific memory). Well i was hoping they would disappear for good but what the soul wants, the soul doesnt get. So anyway about this nightmare of a song. More fizzy beats,  Screaming strings, Weak vocals and another quirky video…. For me its their best work yet…. But sometimes your best isnt good enough!

Vampire Weekend – Cousins — Score 4/10

So i heard this song a few month’s ago, and ive been addicted to this messy track ever since. What amazes me about Wiley is how he’s never… well… really ever took off. We had “Wearing my Rolex” and then nobody wanted to hear from him, then came “cash in my pocket” that was a massive tune. in-between we had “summertime” in which was an amazing song and the album was bloody excellent (much better than dizzee’s tongue in cheek). Well he’s teamed up with Chew Fu to make this crazy club hit, but as for it taking off like “wearing my Rolex” dont bank on it!.

Wiley Ft. Chew Fu — Score 8/10

Iyaz is currently sitting pretty at number three at in the US chart.  So firstly we had “Kiss me thru the phone” from Soulja boy, then we had just recently “Whatcha say” by Jason Derulo and now to add the R&B catchy ringtone friendly “tunage” we can add replay. Although lyrically and vocally this song stinks like scooby doo’s fith leg, the melody carries it through.  The typical cliché of the simplicity of the american lifestyle tries to carry this video, but the only thing i’m staring at is the girl in the video…. You know the one in the bikini…. I like!.

Iyaz – Replay — Score 7/10

How exciting. Yep, it’s not just one new release this December – but two, and as My First Tooth are just putting the finishing touches to the very limited edition, hand-made and let’s be honest… Delicious ‘Margaret Yen’ sleeves, Stagecoach are just about ready to launch their similarly scarce Christmas acoustic single.

Artwork will be following sometime in the next couple of days, and full details revealed – but I’ll tell you this much, it aint no standard release oh no! You see, this one ladies and gentleman is going to be ideal in the run up to the festive season. I suss I may as well wait until is ready to be revealed, but in the mean time… This may just give you a little clue as to what’s-a-coming.

Jennifer Lopez made her comeback as she performed at this years American Music Awards. Everything seemed to be going well, until J.LO took a fall as she performed her new single “Louboutins.”  Hmm maybe J.LO isn’t quite ready to make a comeback. What do you guys think?

We’ve been belting out new tunes here, and this is our best offering to date. Might need some more filling out and compressing, but we’re pretty happy with how it’s progressing.

Starting in 2006, everything changed for Mexican rock pop group Camila.

Three years have gone by since the members of Camilia came together as a group in the music industry, and the results could have not been better. A first album came out that was a joy for everyone, achieving great success on radio, and being embraced by audiences not only in Mexico but in Latin America and in Spain as well.

Close to a million copies of that album, “TODO CAMBIÓ”, were sold internationally, and several awards and nominations proved that the results were highly rewarding and that a dream had come true.

Today, November 16, one of the most important groups in Latin America’s music scene will be back with a second album.

The song MIENTES, written by Mario Domm and by Mónica Vélez, has been chosen as the album’s first single by this group made up by Mario Domm, Samo and Pablo.

With this song, Camila leaves no doubt that they are back with their very unique style and an even richer sound. Strong lyrics and an intense melody showcase Camila’s talent and style, with which they plan on conquering audiences’ hearts once more.

Camila is currently finishing the new album, scheduled for release on February 9, 2010.

Lady Gaga performed “Speechless” at the 30th anniversary gala for the Museum of Contemporary Art last night in Los Angeles. It was a live, five-minute production number called “Ballets Russes Italian Style (The Shortest Musical You Will Never See Again),” in which Lady Gaga debuted her new ballad, “Speechless.”

She played a Steinway grand piano painted in spin-art style by Damien Hirst. Her hat was designed by architect Frank Gehry, and she and Vezzoli donned masks created by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin. Lady Gaga had a dozen dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet, who were wearing costumes created by Vezzoli and Miuccia Prada, head of the famous fashion house.
