This was true for a Slovak father who lost his two sons to foster parents who were allowed to adopt them.

When he gave up believing in The Rule of Law, he spoke to the press and TV in his home country. This TV news reported on 21st August 2012 on the ‘absurdity of Social Services’ as well as a protest against child snatching in Nottingham. 

He lost his £50,000 p.a. job as well as his house, due to the trauma inflicted upon him.

He knows of some 30 Slovak families who are affected as well as many others, especially from small countries.

The TV programme caused John Hemming MP to table this Early Day Motion: HUMAN RIGHTS and FORCED ADOPTIONS in the ENGLISH and WELSH COURTS. Please ask your MP to sign it!

In his desperation and hope for justice, he wrote this letter to the Prime Minister:

Dear Mr. Cameron

I am a Slovak father of three boys and a girl,

Two years ago social services took my two youngest boys, aged 3 and 4 years, into care and began the process of investigation with a view to put them up for adoption.

My sons and I have been made the victims of a long and drawn out investigation which has resulted in the judge’s decision being to allow my sons to be adopted. There is no evidence to suggest that I am guilty of abusing my children, there cannot be as I did not do it. Still, it was found that I was the responsible party. It is impossible to prove that I did not do it, and my request to undergo a polygraph test has been declined / ignored.

I have no idea on where else to turn, but I am desperate to prove my innocence so that I can be reunited with my children. Please can you help me to have all the evidence re-checked, and the case re-opened so that I can bring my children home.

Those of us living in Seattle followed her story and her courage through her long battle.  She lost her smile on the outside only – her courage never wavered.  She was a role model for grace under pressure to all of us who watched with horror as the brain tumors increased with ferocious intensity.

When we learned that she was only 54 – we were stunned.  Not that she had brain cancer and had struggled for more than 12 years with this – but that she was so young.

Greg is 52 and does weddings and funerals for a living.  It is not unusual for him to perform a memorial service for young adults and those more than 10 years younger than himself.  It seems to be a growing epidemic for men and women to struggle with things like cancer and heart issues to die while only in their early forties.  On rare occasions it happens even earlier.

I am reminded of what the Bible says in James 4: 13-14

Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

Our bodies are temporary and meant to break down and eventually die.  The body is not who we are and we cannot be defined by it.  Our real self is much deeper than just our body and will live on past this life.  I am grateful for this, as I have had people I love already pass on into the next life.  And it is especially comforting to read in Romans 6:23:

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

A gift from God.  No matter what happens to me while I’m here on earth.  No matter what battles physically I have to fight.  A place where there will be no more fighting.  No more long battles with things like cancer and heart disease.  No more sickness of any kind.  No more loss.  No more weeping.

I am taking many long moments of reflection in this last week to truly be thankful and live in the moment.  Because we are not promised tomorrow – any of us, it is important to stay in the present and live in an eternal state of contentment and thankfulness.

My prayer for you and your family is this:  That you may stop and reflect today on the many reasons you have to be thankful.  For contentment and courage in all your present circumstances.  And for the love of Jesus to be an ever-present compass as you embrace your life and others around you.

Among the most expensive ads of all times the first place belongs to Guinness Domino ad. This ad costs $ 20 million. However, there is no expensive model or movie star here, or any special effects in this video. It shows hundreds of villages who have no idea that they are involved in the ad-making and are used to create a unique domino effect.

Another remarkable ad was made for Pepsi Company. This video lasted for 90 seconds and was paid $ 7.53 dollars. This price is due to the presence of Britney Spears in the commercial, as she was one of the most expensive celebrities in 2002.

Honda, which is said to be one of the most affordable cars in the world, is pretty expensive in terms of advertising. The video where all details of Honda were used to create domino effect was made for $ 6.5 million.

Speaking of the cars, there is one more ad which impressed the audience with its price. I speak of Chrysler Comeback and $ 9 million spent on it. Rapper Eminem promoting this car in the commercial seems to be one of the reasons of paying such amount of money.

However, according to researches and studies in the sphere of consumer science the high price of the ad does not influence the popularity of promoted product much. Interesting and creative plots and catchy slogans prove to be more effective for the purpose of making the customers buy the goods. Good slogans should not be long, it is not also necessary to describe a product with the help of words. Only a short phrase which comes directly to hearts is needed to increase the sales. The most popular and effective slogans in the world of commercials include the following:

1. Just Do It, for Nike company
2. Impossible Is Nothing, for Adidas
3. There Are Some Things Money Can’t Buy. For Everything Else, There’s MasterCard, for MasterCard
4. Cancer Cures Smoking, for Cancer Patients Aid Association
5. Think Different, for Apple

The ads with such creative slogans do not annoy me, even if they are often repeated in media. On the contrary, these unusual ads teach to practice a different approach to common things. Besides, they present an effective way for the companies to promote the product. However, sometimes slogans can ruin all the efforts of ad creators. My favorite example belong to the Electrolux vacuum cleaners, it says – Nothing Sucks as Electrolux. It is understandable that sometimes the use of sexual sub text in ads can be successful, but only until it turns out to be ridiculous or rude.
