Santorum was supposed to be going back to a light schedule yesterday after his daughter, Bella, was admitted to hospital over the weekend (she has since been released).The previous Pennsylvanian Senator spoke to a rally of followers in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania about his journey. Apparently the decision to suspend his campaign was made around his kitchen table, where the process  began a year ago.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we made the decision to get into this race around our kitchen table, against all the odds,” Santorum said “We made a decision over the weekend that while the presidential race for us is over, and I will suspend my campaign effective today, we are not done fighting.”

Santorum seemed frustrated recently, blurring his clean cut image resulting in speculation of him dropping out of the race.

Pennsylvania will take to the polls on April 24^th where Romney is polling well. It’s highly likely that Santorum pulled out of the race to avoid embarrassment by losing his home state. But, this suspension of the campaign leaves the path wide open for Mitt Romney to take the GOP nomination and facing President Barack Obama for the US Presidency later this year.

People took to Twitter to congratulate Santorum on his campaign, but of course the opposite..

Looking relaxed, with his family standing behind him, Santorum thanked God and everyone for what they had given him, a voice to the voiceless. In the words of Santorum, “against all odds” he won a total of eleven states, finishing in second, right behind Romney.

Flip-flop Romney will continue on his campaign trail, moving his focus to Obama. However, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul remain in the race but will they continue? Is it worth it?

We’ve seeing cursing journalists, one syllable away from pure carnage, questions over ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’, Rombo, Tru Blood Inspirations and a man with a WWF background and Irish blood.

Goodbye, Farewell, So Long Santorum. I’m sure we’ll see you in 2016.

Romney, with no surprise, won the primaries of Maryland, Washington D.C and Wisconsin during the week and one cannot help fall into an anti-climatic slump. Ugh.

The Michigan Mormon has almost twice as many primaries as Santorum, so it’s not surprising that the moral ain’t what it used to be.

Santorum swapped for a lighter schedule this week, understandably after his daughter, Bella, was admitted to hospital. Nevertheless, he comes back into action on Tuesday.

Gringrich, on the other hand, is preparing for a Romney nomination. He said today that his poor relationship with Romney was in light of the GOP nomination campaign (oh, really?), considering they both have the same goal; beating President Obama (imagine that). According to Politico, Gringrich said that he is now “at peace” with Romney. D’aww.

So, is this it ladies and gentlemen? Have the fighting words, imaginative videos and extreme opinions been thrown out the window? It seems Gringrich and Santorum aren’t leaving the race any time soon and we all know what’s coming next.

Get ready for Round 1 of Romney vs. Obama.

On a personal note, I’m going to miss Santorum and Gringrich.. oh and the 4,000 baby deliverer Ron Paul. Their histories, characters, statements, campaign videos, policies, slogans were all a treasure to talk about. Hopefully, we’ll see one of ye back in 2016 (C’mon Jon Huntsman).

Wisconsin will decide on Tuesday who they want to take the GOP nomination. A MSNBC poll and Politico.com are predicting a Romney win, totaling his state’s 17.

Here’s a brief run down on who has won what and where so far.

“I hope the analysts in Washington and New York in June and July who declared our campaign was dead are watching this….” he said. Newt has secured the Georgia and South Carolina primaries, so far. He told the rally of people screaming “Newt! Newt! Newt!” that he’s the only candidate available to beat Barack Obama in the Presidential election.

“I am the tortoise,” said Gingrich, “I just take one step at a time.”
