Днес научих, че един доста обезпокоителен вирус известен като – Вируса на Нютън (Newton Virus) циркулира из интернет пространството. За сега въпросният засяга само компютрите известни като “Сюпириър технолоджи фром аутър спейкс” а.к.а MAC-овете, така че щастливите собственици на такива машини трябва да внимават много.

I came across this video today on Wired.com and new I had to share it.

This April Fool’s Day prank is for anyone who has a close Mac obsessed geek friend, or an even closer Mac geek enemy. 

I think it’s intended to just be a cool video, though.  I never could find a link to download the virus.

It’s definitely worth watching though.

Y creanme, no es cualquier virus, asi hasta da gusto contagiarse. El virus Newton, es un virus que utiliza las leyes de la gravedad para mover toda tu Mac. Si alguien lo tiene, por favor contagieme. (mmm, creo que primero consigo una mac, por que uso Linux)

Esto es posible gracias a que las mac tienen unos sensores de movimiento, los cuales calculan la inclinacion de la computadora (solo lap tops hasta donde se) por si sufre alguna caida o movimiento muy brusco, se activan los sensores y estos aseguran el disco duro fisica y digitalmente para evitar perdida de informacion. Las Mac no solo se ven bien, sino que tienen muy buena tecnologia y este es el primer virus que quiero tener en mi maquina.

Right.
That´s what happened to my laptop today. For two hours it looked like it had died a horrible violent death and… now it works for some reason again. We´ll see how long it lasts.
Next time i´ll definitively buy a Mac.
Why?
Because even their viruses are good looking…
And apperantly people have so much time on their hand because their macs never crash that they create awesome new viruses for them in their free time.

Newton Virus is a computer virus designed by London collective Troika, that causes icons on your computer desktop to fall towards the ground as if affected by gravity.

Watch out for the Newton Virus, it brings gravity to your desktop!!

The virus is in a usb key.
All you have to do is plug it in and then it infects your Mac within seconds.

Your desktop then collapse.

It also has some type of gravity sensor, so that your icons will be able to flop around your screen when you move it around.

I think this is a pretty cool virus, but I am kinda sad that it’s a mac virus, WHICH SUCKS!
This means people are going to start paying attention to macs when it comes to hacking, great.
No need to worry though, It’s a rare virus. The virus will only hit at random, but only once. It will not replicate itself, mail itself to your friends or destroy any of your files. So this is a pretty nice virus that’s just for pranks and whatnot. This is also part of the Design and the Elastic Mind show at MoMA in New York.
