En la predicación del domingo en nuestra iglesia se nos animó a vivir felices con Jesús pese a las circustancias que nos rodean.

“Alegraos siempre en el Señor. Os lo repito: ¡Alegraos! (Filipenses 4:4). Fue muy inspirador poder ver el testimonio de un creyente que lo vive en su vida de una manera ejemplar y motivadora, Nick Vujicic. En algunos foros de internet, cuando se comentan sus vídeos, la gente crítica que se use su imagen con fines religiosos. Desconocen que él es verdaderamente cristiano y que su testimonio quiere poner de manifiesto como Dios le ha dado gracia, fuerza y consuelo. Él se pone a si mismo como ejemplo de que Dios puede dar victoria, gozo y paz en medio de las dificultades.

Nick is one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever come across.  His attitude, standard, and approach to life is a true example of the human spirit and living life without limits!  He chooses possibility over what would seem to be an impossible challenge.   What is so both beautiful and inspiring is that he doesn’t allow  his external circumstance to have any bearing on his internal experience.  What a gift.  What an example.  What a beautiful life.

En la psicología transpersonal nos hablan de las 5 inteligencias del ser humano que debemos reconocer y alimentar para tener bienestar. Normalmente , en nuestra sociedad, reconocemos la Inteligencia Física y la Mental , y nos cuesta algo más entender y trabajarnos la EMOCIONAL, ENERGETICA y la ESPIRITUAL.
Tony Robbins es un lider motivacional, o un gurú de la Autoayuda , que más allá de sus estridencias y su método de Teletienda (que sabemos lo mal que encaja en nuestra cultura latina), sabe transmitir unos mensajes muy efectivos si los sabemos llevar a cabo. Acabo de ver un video suyo y curiosamente se acerca mucho al de las 5 inteligencias de la psicología transpersonal.

Cuando estás deprimido, exhausto, triste,
1.- Toma control de tu mente: alimenta tu mente proactivamente, no permitas que la pasividad llene tu mente de basura mediática, de temas que no te aportan, y que te mantienen atado al sofá. Lee libros inspiradores, busca información en internet que te ayude a levantarte a tener mayores conocimientos a ser un mayor experto en lo que te gusta.
2.- Alimenta tu físico: haz ejercicio, el físico determina tus pensamientos, empuja tu físico hasta que llegues al límite. El miedo se refleja en nuestro físico, nuestro cuerpo nos envía señales. Hacer ejercicio físico nos cambia nuestro estado mental.
3.- Busca un modelo emocional: que haya conseguido lo que buscas o alguien que te inspire emocionalmente, o alguien que esté mucho peor que tu para re-encuadrar tu situación.
4.- Haz un plan y toma acción masiva. progreso = felicidad. Si algo no funciona, cámbialo.
5.- Alimenta tu espíritu: a qué estás agradecido, haz algo por alguien que está peor que tu. Con lo que tienes, con lo que Dios te ha dado, qué puedes hacer para sentirte gratificado.

El caso de Nick Vujicic es impresionante.

Mil veces he caído, mis caídas han sido unas más dolorosas que otras, pero me he levantado de ellas.

Hay ocasiones en que de verdad siento que es el fin, pues la depresión en la que me he visto sumido me ha obligado a pensar de esa manera.

Today, I want to share with you something very special I found online. A very special video clip that remind us not to give up even in the worst circumstances, for once we give up, we will go no where. But if we continue to try, and try, and try again, someday, I’m sure, someday we will make it.

Nick is 26 yrs old, and I’m pretty sure the challenges he faced till this day might amount to several times that of mine. It is true that we are often met with falls, some so painful that you thought you will never get up again. I did a few times. But when we look back, have we not tried to stand up, we might now be wallowing in self dispair. We stood up and became a stronger person.

Will you give up? Or will you finish strong?

My name is Nick Vujicic and I give God the Glory for how He has used my testimony to touch thousands of hearts around the world!

I was born without limbs and doctors have no medical explanation for this birth “defect”. As you can imagine, I was faced with many challenges and obstacles.

….To count our hurt, pain and struggle as nothing but pure joy? As my parents were Christians, and my Dad even a Pastor of our church, they knew that verse very well.

However, on the morning of the 4th of December 1982 in Melbourne (Australia), the last two words on the minds of my parents was “Praise God!”.

Their firstborn son had been born without limbs! There were no warnings or time to prepare themselves for it. The doctors we shocked and had no answers at all! There is still no medical reason why this had happened and Nick now has a Brother and Sister who were born just like any other baby.

The whole church mourned over my birth and my parents were absolutely devastated. Everyone asked, “if God is a God of Love, then why would God let something this bad happen to not just anyone, but dedicated Christians?” My Dad thought I wouldn’t survive for very long, but tests proved that I was a healthy baby boy just with a few limbs missing.

Understandably, my parents had strong concern and evident fears of what kind of life I’d be able to lead. God provided them strength, wisdom and courage through those early years and soon after that I was old enough to go to school.
พ่อแม่ผมมีความกังวลอย่างมากและแสดงให้ เห็นถึงความกลัวว่าชีวิตแบบไหนกันนะที่ผมจะเติบโตขึ้นมา ซึ่งมันก็เข้าใจได้อยู่หรอก แต่ว่าพระเจ้าก็ให้ความเข้มแข็ง สติปัญญา และความกล้าแก่พวกท่านในการที่จะผ่านสิ่งเหล่านี้ไปได้ในช่วงปีแรก ๆ และไม่นานหลังจากนั้นผมก็โตพอที่จะไปโรงเรียนได้

The law in Australia didn’t allow me to be integrated into a main-stream school because of my physical disability. God did miracles and gave my Mom the strength to fight for the law to be changed. I was one of the first disabled students to be integrated into a main-stream school.

I liked going to school, and just try to live life like everyone else, but it was in my early years of school where I encountered uncomfortable times of feeling rejected, weird and bullied because of my physical difference. It was very hard for me to get used to, but with the support of my parents, I started to develop attitudes and values which helped me overcome these challenging times.

I knew that I was different but on the inside I was just like everyone else. There were many times when I felt so low that I wouldn’t go to school just so I didn’t have to face all the negative attention. I was encouraged by my parents to ignore them and to try start making friends by just talking with some kids. Soon the students realized that I was just like them, and starting there God kept on blessing me with new friends.
ผมรู้ ว่าภายนอกผมต่างจากคนอื่นแต่ข้างในนั้นผมก็เหมือนกับทุกคนแหละ มีหลายครั้งที่ผมรู้สึกแย่มาก ๆ จนไม่อยากไปโรงเรียนเพื่อที่จะไม่ต้องไปเจอเรื่องแย่ ๆ พวกนั้น แต่ผมก็ได้รับการชูใจจากพ่อแม่ในการที่จะไม่สนใจสิ่งเหล่านั้น และให้เริ่มหาเพื่อนโดยการไปพูดคุยกับเด็กบางคน ไม่นานนักเด็กนักเรียนเหล่านั้นก็รู้ว่าผมก็เหมือนพวกเขานั้นแหละ และจากตรงนั้น พระเจ้าก็อวยพรผมในการพบเพื่อนใหม่

There were times when I felt depressed and angry because I couldn’t change the way I was, or blame anyone for that matter. I went to Sunday School and learnt that God loves us all and that He cares for you. I understood that love to a point as a child, but I didn’t understand that if God loved me why did He make me like this? Is it because I did something wrong? I thought I must have because out of all the kids at school, I’m the only weird one. I felt like I was a burden to those around me and the sooner I go, the better it’d be for everyone. I wanted to end my pain and end my life at a young age, but I am thankful once again, for my parents and family who were always there to comfort me and give me strength.
มีบางเวลาที่ผมรู้สึก หดหู่และโกรธเกรี้ยวเพราะผมไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนแปลงสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นกับร่างกาย ผม หรือไม่สามารถโทษใครได้สำหรับสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น ผมไปโรงเรียนสอนศาสนาวันอาทิตย์และได้เรียนรู้ว่าพระเจ้ารักเราทุกคนและ พระองค์ทรงห่วงใยเรา ผมก็เข้าใจความรักในแบบเด็ก ๆ แต่ผมไม่เข้าใจว่า ถ้าพระเจ้ารักผม ทำไมพระองค์ถึงทำให้ผมเป็นแบบนี้? เป็นเพราะว่าผมทำอะไรผิดหรือเปล่า? ผมคิดว่าผมต้องทำอะไรผิดแน่เลยเพราะจากเด็กทุกคนในโรงเรียน มีผมคนเดียวที่ประหลาด ผมรู้สึกเหมือนกับว่าผมเป็นภาระของคนรอบ ๆ ตัวผม และถ้าผมยิ่งตายเร็วเท่าไหร่ ทุกคนก็คงสบายขึ้นเท่านั้น ผมต้องการที่จะจบความเจ็บปวดและจบชีวิตนี้ด้วยอายุเพียงน้อยนิด แต่ผมก็ต้องขอบคุณอีกครั้งหนึ่ง สำหรับพ่อแม่และครอบครัวที่อยู่ตรงนั้นเพื่อผมตลอดเวลาเพื่อที่จะทำให้ผม รู้สึกดีและเข้มแข็ง

Due to my emotional struggles I had experienced with bullying, self esteem and loneliness, God has implanted a passion of sharing my story and experiences to help others cope with whatever challenge they have in their life and let God turn it into a blessing.
เนื่องจากการต้องดิ้นรนใน ด้านอารมณ์ของผม ผมต้องเจอกับการกลั่นแกล้ง การเคารพตัวเอง และความโดดเดี่ยว พระเจ้าได้ปลูกฝังความหลงไหลในการแบ่งปันเรื่องราวและประสบกาณ์ของผมเพื่อ ช่วยเหลือคนอื่นในการรับมือกับความท้าทายใด ๆ ก็ตามที่พวกเขาต้องเจอในชีวิตและยอมให้พระเจ้าเปลี่ยนเรื่องเหล่านั้นเป็น พระพร

To encourage and inspire others to live to their fullest potential and not let anything get in the way of accomplishing their hopes and dreams.
One of the first lessons that I have learnt was not to take things for granted.
เพื่อหนุนใจและดลใจให้ผู้อื่นใช้ชีวิตอย่างเต็มที่เท่าที่จะทำได้ และไม่ยอมให้สิ่งใดเข้ามาขวางความหวังและฝันของพวกเข้าได้
บทเรียนหนึ่งในเรื่องแรก ๆ ที่ผมได้เรียนรู้ก็คือการที่จะไม่ทึกทักเอาเอง

“And we know that in all things God works for the best for those who love Him.”
That verse spoke to my heart and convicted me to the point where that I know that there is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence that these “bad” things happen in our life.

I had complete peace knowing that God won’t let anything happen to us in our life unless He has a good purpose for it all. I completely gave my life to Christ at the age of fifteen after reading John 9.
Jesus said that the reason the man was born blind was “so that the works of God may be revealed through Him.” I truly believed that God would heal me so I could be a great testimony of His Awesome Power. Later on I was given the wisdom to understand that if we pray for something, if it’s God’s will, it’ll happen in His time. If it’s not God’s will for it to happen, then I know that He has something better. I now see that Glory revealed as He is using me just the way I am and in ways others can’t be used.

I am now twenty-three years old and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today’s teenagers. I am also a speaker in the corporate sector.

I have many dreams and goals that I have set to achieve in my life. I want to become the best witness I can be of God’s Love and Hope, to become an international inspirational speaker and be used as a vessel in both Christian and non-Christian venues. I want to become financially independent by the age of 25, through real estate investments, to modify a car for me to drive and to be interviewed and share my story on the “Oprah Winfrey Show”!
Writing several best-selling books has been one of my dreams and I hope to finish writing my first by the end of the year. It will be called “No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!”

I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and if it’s God’s will, you will achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all! What’s worse is putting limits on God who can do all things. We put God in a “box”.
The awesome thing about the Power of God, is that if we want to do something for God, instead of focusing on our capability, concentrate on our availability for we know that it is God through us and we can’t do anything without Him. Once we make ourselves available for God’s work, guess whose capabilities we rely on? God’s!

The Butterfly Circus, Nick Vujicic, Hope and Film

The Butterfly Circus is a touching tale of a circus that travels across America during the Great Depression. It stars Nick Vujicic as Will—dubbed “the Limbless Man” by the cruel showman at a fairground sideshow; it is only when he joins the Butterfly Circus that he realizes his true potential.

The Butterfly Circus, directed by Joshua Weigel, recently won the $100,000 grand prize at the Doorpost Film Project. Weigel’s film was among 100 finalists, each of which was centered around the theme of hope. With its superb acting and directing—not to mention its outstanding production value and array of Depression-era props and set pieces—it is no surprise that The Butterfly Circus took the top prize.

Nick Vujicic has already inspired millions of people with his accomplishments, and now he’s added acting to his resume.

Born with no arms or legs, Nick started the ministry Life Without Limbs (http://lifewithoutlimbs.org/). Inspired by Nick, filmmaker Joshua Weigel made a touching 20-minute drama about a circus sideshow act. Nick is the star. And by the end of the movie, he is also the hero.

Last month, the film won the grand prize at the Doorpost Film Project (a short film festival) in Florida. [Last Oct. 24th, it was going to be] shown at A Night of Film. The free event is being held at Coast Hills Community Church in Aliso Viejo.

Night of Film (http://anightoffilm.com/) was conceived as a way to give Christian filmmakers an audience, and Christian audiences an option.

“There is an audience that is going ‘Man, I wish there were something better out there, without cussing, without sex, without violence, the things that are generally resorted to,” said founder Charlie Matz. “Let’s get these two groups together: An audience that is praying for something better in cinema or television and filmmakers who are providing incredibly crafted stories that resonate with the human condition.”

Matz started a Night of Film in 2007. Last year 800 people attended. This year they are hoping for a full house. Coast Hills seats 1,300.

“This event is so much about really applauding the unsung heroes of filmmaking, and not just Christian filmmakers, but the people who make short films.”

Bueno, de vez en cuando es normal sentirse un poco embajonado, sin ganas de hacer nada, ya sea porque estas un poco enfermo o por otros motivos, pero nunca viene mal recordar que no hay problema que no podamos superar a lo largo de nuestra vida…

Y si piensas que la tu vida es mala, que es dificil superar alguna barrera, que es imposible mejorar…recuerda: ¿son realmente graves los problemas por los que piensas tirar la toalla?

Personalmente, cuando vi este video por primera vez, me di cuenta que por muy jodido que sea estudiar, que aunque sea un asco tener que moverme en tranvia por no tener coche, que el no tener dinero suficiente para salir de fiesta, y mil cosas mas de las que me llego a quejar cuando no me encuentro con animos suficientes, no son nada en comparacion a lo que otras personas realmente pueden estar sufriendo…

¿Vas a acabar siendo fuerte?

Det är Måndag förmiddag och jag känner mig fortfarande ganska så trött. Jag vet inte riktigt vad jag ska hitta på idag, vädret är inte så inbjudande så det blir nog att hålla sig inne den största delen av dagen. Jag har lite skrivkramp just nu men jag försöker att skriva lite varje dag ändå. Jag brukar surfa runt lite på youtube, ett av de mest uppmuntrande youtube klipp jag sett är dom med Nick Vujicic. Jag har lagt upp dessa klipp tidigare men tycker dom är värda att visa igen.

Han surfar och simmar och har en optimistisk syn på livet. Trots att han saknar armar och ben. Nick Vujicic, 26, är ett fenomen. I dag är han evangelist och talare som drar 100 000-tals människor världen över. Vujicic är australiensare men bor sedan några år i Kalifornien och har grundat missionsorganisationen “Life without limbs” (Liv utan lemmar).Han menar sig ha Guds kallelse att berätta om sitt liv.- Jag vet varför jag är här. Jag har ett uppdrag att berätta om hoppet vi har i Kristus, säger han.Att han, som föddes utan armar och ben, kan göra så mycket är varken mer eller mindre än ett mirakel.- Men jag är inte övernaturlig, säger han. Det handlar om den helige Ande som ger mig kraft att leva ett övernaturligt liv. Jag är inte bara en man utan armar och ben, jag är ett Guds barn.

Nick nació en Melbourne  (Australia), en 1982, sin extremidades. Pero eso no ha impedido desarrollar su vida y vencer los obstáculos. Se graduó en la Facultad con 21 años, especializándose en Contabilidad y Planificación Financiera.
