As stated in this post, Eero and Lauri have been on Monday (23.11) morning at the YleX Radio and did a small interview about the anniversary gig, compilation album and many other things. The site of the radio is being update continuously and here are some of the videos they have posted up.

In the first video they talked about the compilation album that was released today worldwide. They talk about their first appearance in YleX radio, about the tracklist of the compilation album (the fact that they have picked up more like the singles and those songs that have been hits),about their future plans (they have already been in studio and recorded some demos, but they still have a lot to work).
In the second video they talk about how the song No Fear was born and that they have did Hide From The Sun so soon after Dead Letters because there was a pressure on them to make it. Pauli have come up with the riffs and the demo of the song and then they have developed it more.
In the third video Lauri is telling the story about how October and April was born as a parody song of boy-bands and that he first called Tuomas to ask for Anette’s phone number and then called her, she found it a nice idea. They have talked about everything only through the phone, but they first met only when they made the video for the song.

 Оценка альбома “Wishmaster“: 9/10

 Группа придерживалась в “Wishmaster” жанра Symphonic Power Metal, как всегда. Хотя были песни, где Power явно не присутствовал. Хотя его отсутствие явно не портит впечатление.

 Музыка в “Wishmaster” достаточно разнообразна инструментами музыкальными и ритмами. Переходы от ритма к ритму не идут скачками, а проигрываются мелодично. Хотя, в песне Dead Boy’s Poem музыка явно “хромает”.

 Голоса вокалистки и вообще исполняющих песни в “Wishmaster” тоже хорошие. То есть пели качественно, хотя в двух или трех песнях слишком уж “сонно”. К примеру, в той же Dead Boy’s Poem вокалистка и слишком уж медленно и тихо пела.

 Общее впечатление от альбома “Wishmaster“, как видно из оценки, больше чем хорошее. Все песни, кроме двух трех упомянутых, неплохо комбинируют Metal и Symphonie. Советую послушать.

I was grateful to read this comment by another NYU student who had met Andrew

So many of these comments astound me. If any of you had personally known this young man, as I did, you would know that those he met felt lucky to have this intelligent, cultured, responsible and sophisticated (as well as sensitive and entertaining) person in their life. While I agree that your points do have validity for many kids our age, you are judging something you know nothing about. It’s insulting to his memory, and to those who knew him for the incredible person he was.

My name is Madison Shelton and I am a good friend of your son Andrew.  I just wanted to express my heartfelt condolences about the loss of your son.  I know how hard this day has been for me just to lose such a great friend from my life, I can only imagine how hard this day has been for you.

The first time I met Andrew was when he was a student at Drexel where I still attend.  We had Chinese together and from the first day I was amazed and kind of jealous of his intelligence and vigor for everything that he did! After the first week of classes I begged him to be study partners with me, I even tried to bait him on with a treat of free coffee! But alas he did not want to be my study partner! Because of Andrew’s grasp of the language it just made me want to try even harder and we became fierce rivals in our chinese class! But because of his sheer ability he made me into a better student! I was so sad when he told me he was transferring from Drexel to NYU.  I made him promise not to forget me in Philadelphia and to visit soon, but every week we would chat online! He would send me great songs, like Nightwish which due to his influence I love and funny pictures that would always put a smile on my face.  He would tell me about his plans to get a motorcycle and ride it all across the country.  I would tell him how i didn’t understand why he would want to be on a scary machine like that and he would promise that as soon as he bought one he would come down to Philadelphia and give me a free ride on it!!!

I remember in the Spring he came to visit Philadelphia.  I was so excited to get a call from him and meet up for lunch and we talked for hours about his new life in NYU and all of his studies in Eastern Asian Cultures and because i am an Anthropology student I loved every second of it!!!! (and was so glad that he stopped being a Business Major at Drexel!)  He seemed so much happier up in NY than he ever was at Drexel.  I feel so blessed to have ever met Andrew! Though at first we butted heads, in all of my studies his natural ambitious nature always drove me to be an even better student!!!  I just wanted you to know that your son had a great impact on my life and this world.  he was appreciated, respected and loved.  I feel honored to call him my friend I i wish I could have spent more moments with him.  He use to tell me about you all the time and said what a beautiful woman and great mom you are.  By the way you raised your son i know that is true.  I wish I had a chance to meet you with him.  Andrew to this day is one of the smartest people that I have ever met in college.  A young man who is well versed, well read and well mannered.  He would say it was because he was “English” but i knew that it was just his nature.

I hope that this message finds you in good spirits and know that I am praying for Andrew and the rest of your family through his hard time.  The people that he met will not just miss him but the world will miss all of the great things I know he was born to do!  Though I only got to be in his company for a short year, I still talk about him to my friends how the ideas and concepts that would come out of his mind were a beautiful sight to behold.  Andrew did not leave us, he just made us appreciate his beautiful spirit even more.  If there is anything that I can do for you during this time please feel free to ask.  If it is possible I would like to pay my respects to Andrew when the time comes.

 На мой взгляд в альбоме по большей части преобладает матал, нежели симфония. Не скажу, что это плохо. Пока слушаешь в “ Once” отрывки с “Бум-Бум, Бах-Бах”(думаю Вы меня поняли), а затем переход на спокойную симфонию – получается, что “переживаешь” моменты музыки. Я снял два балла за то, что есть песни, где переход с метала на симфонию не столь удачен или его просто нет.

 Сама музыка в “ Once” достаточно разнообразная. Здесь есть множество музыкальных инструментов, что радует слух. Были пару моментов, когда я слушал и пытался угадать, а что же дальше будет?

 Песни в “ Once” мне понравились. Слова поставленные в рифму и голоса поющих сделали свое дело.

 Общее впечатление от альбома “ Once” хорошее. Не могу сказать, что вернусь специально к нему и прослушаю еще раз, как я это делал с Omega Lithium – “Dreams In Formaline“. Но все же не жалею потраченного времени и если песни из “ Once” случайно попадутся, переключать их не стану.

 Оценка альбома: 9/10.

 В целом “Oceanborn” очень хороший – есть песни, где по-меньше метала добавили, есть где по-больше, да и музыка мелодичная.

 Правда встречались пара переходов, где с одного ритма “прыгнули” на другой без дополнительных проигрышей, соединяющих эти ритмы. Также не очень понравилась песня The Pharaoh Sails To Orion, так как слишком длинная.

 А в остальном “Oceanborn” замечательный. Я получил настоящее удовольствие при его прослушивании.
 Хочу отметить песню Stargazers(ссылка на нее), как самую лучшую из альбома(мое мнение). Она и в самом деле что-то среднее между симфонией и металом, поэтому вышла на славу.

 Для любителей Symphonic Power Metal “Oceanborn” не будет разочарованием, поверьте мне.

 Альбом “Angels Fall First” очень сильно понравился. По сути, именно с него я и начал ознакомление с Nightwish.

 При прослушивании “Angels Fall First” надо быть предельно внимательным и концентрироваться на музыке, иначе толку никакого. Все песни созданы именно для того, что бы насладится музыкой. Поэтому, если Вы включите “Angels Fall First” и будете слушать “между прочим”, лучше не делайте этого. Испортите себе впечатление и желание слушать.

 Хочу отметить, что в “Angels Fall First” вокалистка постаралась на славу. Музыка не везде “на высоте”, но благодаря Tarja Turunen песни вышли “на ура”.

 Лично мне из “Angels Fall First” больше всего понравилась песня Тутанхомон. В youtube нашел неплохой ролик, сделанный под нее(Ссылка).

          Uneori nu doar iubirea este îndreptată către cei care nu o merită sau care o trădează. La fel se poate întâmpla și cu ura. O ură care se poate manifesta în mod irațional și în virtutea inerției. Nu am devenit un ecologist fanatic, nici vreun luptător pentru drepturile animalelor. Nu mi-am schimbat nici opticile în așa măsură încât să ajung să manifestez în costumul lui Adam, sperând că astfel îi voi convinge pe alții să renunțe la hainele de blană sau la cele din piele. Dar, așa cum o spune și titlul, în următoarele zile aș vrea să mă aplec asupra unei… nedreptăți. Probabil că veți considera, voi, cei care (re)veniți în mod mai mult sau mai puțin constant în acest spațiu, că aceasta este o abatere de la linia cu care v-ați obișnuit. Și totuși nu este. Sper că vă veți convinge… și dacă nu, cu siguranță voi beneficia de îngăduință.

           Iubirea și ura sunt sentimente mult mai asemănătoare decât credem. Intensitatea este de multe ori aceeași, chiar dacă, în principiu, sentimentele sunt plasate la poli opuși. Extremele, în general, se aseamănă foarte mult – unul din motivele pentru care cred că aici își va găsi locul și acest pseudostudiu, fără a părea discrepant. Un gest care caută doar să lămurească unele lucruri, să afle unele explicații, dar mai ales să găsească informații. Informații asupra unei specii anatemizate (priviți termenul folosit și la propriu și la figurat), în spatele căreia omul a aruncat pe nedrept blestemul dispariției, al exterminării.

            Pentru început, astăzi, va fi doar o piesă… dintr-un punct de vedere superficial. Din unul mai profund, un tribut. Un tribut adus unuia dintre cele mai nedreptățite și mai nobile animale. 

This might come as a huge surprise, but when I drive fast or aggressive, I tend to listen to something that calms me down and makes me feel – at peace. Probably because the adrenaline rush can blind your judgment and these songs allow me to relax and think clearer than I normally would.

There have appeared on YouTube by Vertigo TV the video of Making of October & April. The video contains besides the usual making of stuff by the directors and the band members opinion also some funny moments and jokes by Anette and Lauri. Seemingly the video is made by Eero.

Rapidi rapidi rapidi! Due canzoni in rapida successione. Siamo carichi vero? Allora, la prossima band è finlandese, e diciamo che più o meno il loro stile si avvicina a quello dei Within Temptation ascoltati poco fa. Questa band ha cambiato due cantanti.. cantantesse non si può dire vero? Comunque, la precedente, Tarja Turunen adesso prosegue con una carriera da solista, (quella sì che è una bella voce) mentre adesso è Anette Olzon a condurre le redini del gruppo… per modo di dire !

For The Rasmus’ Lauri existed fans count
The Rasmus’ frontman Lauri Ylönen visited today Voice’s Heräämö to talk among others about what kind of fans the band has today, crazy fans can be found in South America.
The Rasmus’ Lauri Ylönen today at the Heräämö told to Voice that there are a lot of fans in South America, that sometimes even look like him.
-A while ago I painted my hair blonde, and a Mexican boy who imitates everything I do, also dyed his hair. Of course he had very dark hair and had to dye it like 20 times, Ylönen laughed at Heräämö.
Singer claimed the South American fans to be very brave and also open. Foreign fans come to him to talk more easily, even if the language could be a problem. Ylönen admits that sometimes meeting fans can excite him much more than the fans itself are.
-In many cases it’s a very exciting situation for both sides. I lie if I say I do not know them, but there are types that imagine that they know me somehow…

The Rasmus’ Lauri will be at the party in Linna
Among others, to this year’s Linna Independence Day celebrations could find invitation in their email also PMMP’s Paula Vesala. The woman involved, will take to the celebration also her partner, Lauri Ylönen, who will now give out some details of the party.
The Rasmus’s Lauri Ylönen visited this morning Voice’ Heräämö and talked also about the upcoming party at Linna. He told that he would wear a fairly traditional dress.
-I could maybe put up some fun shoes, because I’m kind of freaked because of the shoes. Maybe some old man style shoes, the singer laughed at Heräämö.
Invitations to the Linna festivities are already familiar to Ylönen, so he no longer needs to be around the president. The singer recalled the tormenting and agonizing hand-shaking moments at the opening.
-At the hallways you were sweating and someone was organizing people as they would be in a cattle. It is somehow far from being glamorous, Ylönen described.

The Rasmus stopped touring, compilation album to come
The Rasmus will publish a compilation album next week. The band plans to celebrate with an unusual gig at the Suutarila High School.
The band’s vocalist, Lauri Ylönen revealed to Voice how it went the discussion with the principle of Suutarila High School.
-My hand was shaking when I was dialing the number. The principal have not initially thought that it was me as Lauri Ylönen, so I had to explain him what’s the matter, Lauri laughs.
The high school gig at Suutarila is organized for current pupils of the school, but also for formers mates of the band members who were their friends.
-I hope the teachers will be at the gig too.
Unfortunately for those who can’t make it to the school gig The Rasmus has only the collection album to offer. According to Lauri new gig dates will be fixed in the first part of the next year, quite many of them.
-We wanted to have a particular era for this collection album. We didn’t wanted gigs and again the riding on the old success, Lauri points out the reason of the gig-break.
The Rasmus compilation album contains familiar hits and also the duet with Nightwish’ vocalist Anette Olzon.

During the videos he is talking about the same issues since the articles and the videos are connected. During the interview he was given small green socks with some print on it, from someone named Kirsi who made them for Lauri’s son, Julius.

Альбом “Angels Fall First” очень сильно понравился. По сути, именно с него я и начал ознакомление с Nightwish.

При прослушивании “Angels Fall First” надо быть предельно внимательным и концентрироваться на музыке, иначе толку никакого. Все песни созданы именно для того, что бы насладится музыкой. Поэтому, если Вы включите “Angels Fall First” и будете слушать “между прочим”, лучше не делайте этого. Испортите себе впечатление и желание слушать.

Хочу отметить, что в “Angels Fall First” вокалистка постаралась на славу. Музыка не везде “на высоте”, но благодаря Tarja Turunen песни вышли “на ура”.

Лично мне из “Angels Fall First” больше всего понравилась песня Тутанхомон. В youtube нашел неплохой ролик, сделанный под нее(Ссылка).

Well.. the time has come! Finalmente sinto vontade de escrever algo sobre o que aconteceu nos últimos dias.

Niver da minha mãe. Eu acordei e fui trabalhar. Quando voltei, eu e minha família fomos almoçar e meu irmão se engasgou com um pedaço de carne. Lá vai minha mãe/pai rodar a cidade atrás de médico. Nenhum hospital/clínica tinha especialista para poder tirar aquele maldito pedaço de carne. Ligamos para TODOS OS HOSPITAIS (público e particular) e nenhum tinha um médico que pudesse retirar aquela carne. Que país é esse? Enfim… eles saíra de casa as 2hs e voltaram lá pelas 6h. Minha mãe ia fazer um churrasco e acabou não fazendo porque estava muito cansada e então o evento acabou sendo cancelado de vez.

Depois disso… naum aconteceu nada de mais. Acho, ou melhor, sinto que ando muito cansada. Meu corpo e minha mente pedem férias urgentemente. Trabalhei tanto este ano, acho que mereço. Naum sei… ultimamente ando sem vontade pra nada. O que quero mesmo é ficar em casa e assistir filme ou dormir atá ficar cansada disso  também.

Meu DVD do NIGHTWISH chegouuuuuu! Fiquei taaaaaoooo feliz! Passei o dia todo assistindo… O DVD é rico em material e tem mais de 2hs de documentário! Amo documentários! Sou uma fã recente entaum eu estou meio besta com tudo que vejo sobre o Nightwish. Adoro o Tuomas Holopainen e na verdade o que me interessa é o Too e naum o Nightwish em si. Mas como ele é praticamente a banda… eu saio no lucro! Amei TUDO mesmo! Já até comprei um outro CD/DVD ontem e o mesmo já foi despachado pela loja.

Recomendo: Nightwish – End of Innocence

Tem toda a história da banda, os micos que eles pagaram durante a turnê e até a visita deles a embaixada da Finlândia em Brasília! Muuuito bom. Também tem trecho de algumas apresentações ao vivo e dois video clipes. Vou ver se posto algumas caps do DVD mais tarde.
