“Edge of the World” by Mariano Vivanco for Dazed & Confused, model Hilary Rhoda wears Nina Ricci and Armani. I love how surrealist and fleeting this short is…one cannot help being reminded of Maya Deren’s Meshes of the Afternoon.

OMG! I’m in love with the frothy, frilly, feminine delights from Peter Copping for Nina Ricci this Spring. Silk crepe, tulle and floral print, OH MY. What I love (and often strive for in personal style is “measured clothes enhanced with an unexpected twist.” The sheer mid calf leggings; the dusty pale pink palette; lace; nude and black; the shine, shimmer and texture … My heart goes beat beat.

Peter Copping chose to show in Nina Ricci‘s salon. Intimate in atmosphere, it underlines his aim for the house which is to emanate Nina Ricci‘s heritage yet avoid becoming nostalgic. Gently reworking signature codes such as bows, lace, tulle and lingerie-like details, Copping never loses sight of his Nina Ricci woman. Coquettish, she defines the eternal Parisian who is playful in spirit and always elegant. Copping achieves a vital and contemporary balance via well-crafted fit and considered inventiveness with fabric.

Cuando todos pensábamos que Lady Gaga sería la primera, Daphne Guiness se adelanta y es la osada en llevar en público los zapatos alienígenos de Alexander McQueen.  La ocasión fue la presentación del nuevo libro de Francois Nars y la fiesta del  15 aniversario de la firma cosmética Nars.

Daphne contó a Fashionista que los armadillos de 12 pulgadas de McQueen son mucho  más ligeros que los modelos de Otoño-Invierno 2009 que llevó recientemente de Nina Ricci.

My most favorite woman Daphne Guiness tottering around perfectly in those Nina Ricci shoes with Valentino.

Alongside with Vogue editor Anna Wintour’s 60th, is also Daphne Guiness’ big day. Wow! a lot of birthday celebs this month!- my mom and my boyfriend too! happy birthday everybodeh! So going back to the main subject, Guiness’ birthday plans on an ambush interview with NY Mag:

“I’m going to eat a sandwich and then do Bikram yoga. That sounds nice, right?” Sure, kind of! “And then I’m crawling under the covers and saying, ‘Poor me!’ It’s a very strange month to have a birthday. But I had a midlife crisis when I was 9, so I’m not worried about that.” She’s also as confused about her apparent agelessness as we are: “I forget [how old I'm turning]. 41, I think.” (According to Wikipedia, she’s turning 42.) “You know, I really don’t care, because I don’t expect to live for very much longer.” What does that mean? “Oh boy, this is turning into a heavy conversation,” she continued. “But it isn’t about age — it’s about experience. The only thing worth aiming for is love. As you long as you have that, it’s okay, and then you have some issues you just need to work out during this lifetime, not that I’m religious in any shape or form. But I don’t fear death. Love is the only thing that matters. Everything else is smoke and mirrors.” So, is fashion smoke and mirrors, too? “That’s the best smoke and the best mirror. You’ve gotta go out, so you should go out in style.”

Everyone knows I’m a huge collector of sunglasses. I currently have 13 pairs (as seen above) and I’m still out to get more! My favorite pair at the moment is the one that came from Mango (upper right corner), and if you’re wondering, I never really wore those shutter shades. They’re cool and made popular by Kanye West (the only reason why I got them) but since when were they ever practical? Haha, I’d just wear them to a photo shoot or a party to have some fun. Would you wear them in a casual day out?

Anyway.. Right now, I’m after the re-release of Nina Ricci’s 3203, the Jackie O sunglasses! L’Amy America in partnership with Nina Ricci Paris is promoting this particular pair using the iconic photograph of Jackie Onassis Kennedy taken on the 30th of January 1978 during the Robert F. Kennedy Pro Celebrity Tennis Tournament.

I’d totally get the black – gray gradient one. Well, that is.. if these wonderful sunglasses did not cost ₱9, 200 (Philippine Peso)!! Yes, the price you’re seeing is right. It would roughly cost around $200 – $300 (US Dollars). Painful in the pockets. Hmm.. well, I’ll just hope to get a similar pair, haha.

These Boots are made for walkin’ *whistles* lol, These boots are by Olivier Theyskens of Nina Ricci and I am seeing them all over the fashion world and to be honest why not there CRAZY, SERIOUS, F*CKING AMAZING, ok calm.  From the streets to editorials. everyone wants a piece. With there non-existent heel 8″ or one that hangs in the balance the shoe design is a breath of fresh air. Luckily I’ve had the pleasure of seeing someone walk in them, and yes, they did look like Godzilla, but who gives a sh*t break your ankle B*tch.

On est de plus en plus “sollicité” par la publicité. Chez nous, entrecoupant nos programmes préférés à la TV, dans le métro, dans les arrêts de bus (et sur le bus), les panneaux d’affichage, internet… Alors quand une campagne émerge parmi toutes les autres parce qu’elle est belle et que le produit fait envie… Cela vaut le coup d’en parler.

Après vous avoir fait un point sur les pubs de Canal + qui nous font bien rire, je voulais vous parler de la campagne pour le dernier parfum de la marque Nina Ricci, Ricci Ricci.

Le premier parfum de la maison Ricci voit le jour en 1946, en parallèle de la maison de couture, et chaque campagne depuis est une réussite. Ses parfums deviennent une institution pour la Femme, et chaque nouveauté est un succès.

Le petit dernier, Ricci Ricci, est glamour et audacieux, incarnée par une femme raffinée et sophistiquée sûre de son pouvoir de séduction. Elle est mutine, féline, parisienne, joueuse, belle…

Concernant le parfum, je ne suis pas encore passée en parfumerie pour le sentir, mais en général ils sont plutôt doués ! Son contenu : en tête de la rhubarbe et de la bergamote, au coeur la rose Centifolia, et en fond du patchouli et du bois de santal.

Au fait, le mannequin s’appelle Jessica Stam. C’est une jeune canadienne de 23 ans en pleine ascension (défilé Victoria Secret, Chloé, Dior, Valentino, Rykiel…).

Voilà pour cette jolie campagne ! Je vous précise que je n’ai absolument pas été sponsorisée, contactée ou autre pour en parler… On sait jamais, sur un malentendu !

One of biggest and most fresh current trends is outwear lingerie. We’ve seen it at Balenciaga’s Fall show, and at Dior and Nina Ricci’s proposals for next Spring. Last year, Charles Anastase presented his acclaimed collection featuring suspender belts, and blogger Amlul and many others didn’t take too long to wear them at the streets. I’m a fashion fool and had to do it also, my own way, so last Saturday I attended a party showing off my bra under a transparent dress. People loved it (even my boyfriend!), althoguh for some reason my parents were not that happy about it :s

Por demanda popular, subo la foto de mi sujetador a la vista de todo el mundo. Ahí, con el litro de cerveza y haciéndome la heavy-metalera con la mano izquierda, la foto es un poco chunga, pero es la única de que dispongo en la que se ve el modelito, cortesía de ese artista en todos los sentidos que es Luciano, cuyo cumple estábamos celebrando. A todo el mundo le encantó el estilismo, menos a mis padres que, por algún motivo insondable, no parecían nada convencidos.

El caso es que es que esto, que puede parecer un acto gratuito de provocación a los ojos poco entrenados (aunque poco se puede provocar con mi discreto busto), es simplemente un nueva tendencia que a flipadas como a mí nos da por seguir, y que no me extrañaría que pronto empezáramos a ver muuuuucho. Balenciaga la propone en su colección del otoño que corre, mientras que Dior y Nina Ricci lo hacen para la primavera que viene. Ya el año pasado aquella colección de Charles Anastase que nos enamoró a todas incluía ligueros vistos, que no tardaron mucho en llevar a la calle blogueras como Amlul y hasta alguna celebrity enrollada tipo Tylor Momsen. Yo intenté probar lo de los ligueros para ir al Primavera Sound en mayo, pero parecía un auténtico fistro. Es mucho más fácil y contenido enseñar sujetador.

Prolly it works only in runways (can you imagine if the model actually trips and fall with these shoes?) and not and ever in reality. Design appreciated, comfortness – TOTALLY NEGLECTED!!!!Lady Gaga – Please do not attempt to perform with this shoe… if you want to…wear these. That’s the least any fashionista/fashion enthusiasts/crazy shoe person can do for their safety.
