6.06 Alexis Stone

Mother from hell.

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

Well the return of Julia’s mother, Dr. Erica Noughton (Vanessa Redgrave) was always going to cause trouble for both Sean and Julia.  Mother satan wants custody of Conner and Annie and it looks like she could achieve that goal.  She’s got a lot of evidence against Sean and Julia.  She has even married a young Italian man who wants to have kids.  The evidence is pilled up on the parents and it will be interesting to see how Sean and Julia work together to make sure they keep their children.

Christian and Kimber as we all know are perfectly suited to each other.  It looks like the conclusion for both of their characters is that they end up together.  She has now finished with Mike and it seems that they will get back together.  Will it work out for them?  Probably not, while they are perfect for each other, I don’t think two people like Christian and Kimber can stay in a real relationship.

Geeky Thoughts:-

• The actress who played Alexis was in Dirty Sexy Money and in real life she had a sex change operation.  How could you change your mind to go back?  When Christian was telling her all about the surgery, it didn’t make me feel good.
• Matt is helping Erica get custody of Annie and Conner.  He’s even a fuck up inside.  While Sean and Julia aren’t the best parents in the world, they don’t deserve their children taken away from them.
• Oh and Erica was right, Matt does need to be someone’s bitch.  He’s been a bitch all his life.

Favourite Scene: I really liked Christian telling Liz his problem.  Detailing what he did to Alexis.  Then her reaction.

Nip Tuck S06E06 HDTV XviD-XII

Só pra esclarecer que os momentos aqui são até a quarta temporada que é até onde eu vi. São alguns episódios que pra mim foram marcantes, tanto no quesito nojento/estranhopracarai/emocionei/me-do/tenso. Apesar de não ser uma série tão vangloriada assim, Nip/Tuck já está na sua 6ª e última temporada, e pra mim, ela tem sido muito boa, me surpreendo cada vez mais com as bizarrices, com as cenas MUITO bem feitas das cirurgias, e com os personagens que ficam cada vez mais sem noção nenhuma. hahaha. Ah sim, contém spoilers.

Kurt Dempsey

É um paciente que está noivo de uma mulher asiática, e pede que Sean e Christian deixe os olhos dele como os da noiva, para que a família o aceite. Apesar de não ser uma cirurgia muito bizarra, o legal é que no final, a mãe da noiva enxerga de cara que Kurt não é asiático, mas acaba aceitando-o pois acha que alguém que se submete a uma cirurgia dessas pra ser aprovado pela família, merece sua filha.

Cara Fitzgerald

É uma estudante que foi atropelada pelo filho do Sean, e deixada na sarjeta. A história é mais complexa que isso, mas o bizarro mesmo é como o rosto dela fica.  De 14 ossos do rosto humano, ela quebra 10, e sua mãe, que é muito religiosa, diz que o médico não pode tratá-la, nem opera-la nem nada, apenas fazer orações.

Montana/Sassy/Justice

É uma paciente bizarra com 3 personalidades diferentes. Montana é a pessoa principal, Sassy é uma outra personalidade dela, só que infantil. E a terceira é Justice, um homem violento. Cada personalidade quer uma coisa, então já dá pra imaginar a zona né?

Rose & Raven Rosenberg

O episódio conta a história de gemeas siamesas que nasceram grudadas pela cabeça..A história delas é muito foda…e o episódio é bem triste.. Após a cirurgia, só uma sobrevive, e a outra, que não consegue viver sem a irmã, morre ao saber da notícia. No final, a mãe pede que as junte de novo para que sejam enterradas juntas, como sempre foram.

Hannah Tedesco

Duas mães vão até a clinica e pedem para que os médicos façam um transplante de face de uma filha pra outra. A que irá receber teve o rosto arrancado por um brinquedo num parque de diversões, e a que vai doar, está em coma, vivendo como vegetal há meses. As duas mães se conheceram na clínica médica e ficaram próximas, e a mãe da menina que está morrendo, decide abrir mão da vida da filha pra salvar outra, muito tenso também!

Frankenlaura

Sean e Christian visitam o necrotério onde um empregado criou uma mulher com partes do corpo de outra mulher. O cara era apaixonado por essa tal mulher morta, e como só tinha a cabeça dela,  montou com partes de outros corpos. No final a gente descobre que ela a irmã dele.

Ben White

Conta a história de um cara que sofre de uma doença onde ele sente que um membro seu não faz parte do seu corpo, então ele chega na clinica querendo amputar sua perna, completamente perfeita, pois não consegue mais viver assim. Apesar de ser um homem bem sucedido, ele mostra que isso é algo que ele não pode conviver, além de andar de muletas há anos diz que se os médicos não fizerem a cirurgia de remoção, ele mesmo fará.

Momma Boone

Pra mim um dos mais nojentos e tensos, hahaha, Sean recebem um chamado pra ir tirar no sofá uma mulher de 600kg que não sai dali há 3 anos. O chamado foi recebido logo após os vizinhos perceberem o cheiro ruim que vinha da casa. Ao examiná-la, o médico notam que sua pele aderiu ao sofá, e por estar há três anos ali, todos as suas necessidades foram feitas ali mesmo, o que facilitou para que sua pele grudasse e começasse a desistegrar.

Natasha Charles

Um episódio que dá bastante aflição, onde uma mulher cega faz um implante de olhos artificiais, só para estética mesmo, e o mais tenso é que ela permanece em alguns episódios, e tira e poe as próteses sempre.

6.05 Abigail Sullivan

Two sides of everything

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

I am honestly quite surprised that the whole Teddy storyline is finished with.  To me it seemed a very abrupt end to the storyline and with the recasting of Rose McGowen in the role, I thought that the story would go on all season.  It seems this season that plots are being resolved quicker which I think is a great thing.

It’s quite ironic that while Teddy tried to get an alibi, that alibi turned out to be a psycho killer who killed her and chopped her up into god knows how many pieces.  I liked that he was disgusted that she would kill children just to get money.  Though how was Teddy’s plan going to work?  For me it’s a major plot hole.  If Sean was dead, she wouldn’t have got any money.  I’m thinking the writers wanted to end the story quicker than probably plannned so it all seemed a bit rushed.

The fuck up that is Matt has ended up in the place he was destined to be for a long time now.  After being shot, Christian and Sean help him but Christian is adamant that Matt should turn himself into the police.  Julia return and agrees that Matt is the worst son of all time and agrees with Christian.  So Matt is going to jail.  I’m not too sure what’s left for the character.  Hopefully we don’t see too much of his jail time but this is Nip/Tuck.  I bet we’ll be seeing him avoid getting shafted in the showers or something along Nip/Tuck’s twisted ways.  Hopefully prison will do the guy some favours.

Geeky Thoughts:-

• Julia, all she does is berate Sean.  I really do hate her.
• Sean stripping naked and going for a swim in the ocean.  He’s a braver man than me.  I wouldn’t want to be stung by any jellyfish.
• Hopefully Julia is around for too long.

I’m glad that the Teddy story was resolved.  Now we can move on and I’m looking forward to what’s coming next.  This season has been excellent so far and if they can keep the quality going then the show will end as it started.

Favourite Scene: Sean with Teddy’s killer.

Last night on Nip Tuck, my guilty pleasure in TV world, Dr. Sean, for the second time this season tries to off himself…this time in such a way that I found myself sitting there with my mouth open…not because I was shocked (which is usually the case with some of this show) but because one of the writers of the show has been no doubt  scouring the news or blogging scene…or it could be just coincidence…or it would be my own wit’s end crazy parallel conclusion…but this was the scene. 

After dumping his dead wife’s ashes (a whole other long, creepy story) in garbage can on a beach in California, our dear doctor looks out at the ocean for a while on this sunny evening. Then he slowly takes off his clothes, neatly folding each piece, suit jacket, pants, shirt, underwear, and places them on the life guard bench, his shoes, lastly, on top of it all, and walks naked into the sea, plunging in and swimming out, out, out…

The scene ends…

So my brain quickly makes the connection with Jeremy Blake’s suicide, for those who haven’t guessed what I was getting to. Call my crazy, but if anything, the writers of the TandJ movie might be a little pissed…I know I would be.

I went to the 19th floor of “the castle” as I like to call it. It’s just the Northwestern mega-plex in the city. I don’t know why, but going in to the city always makes me nervous. It’s silly really because I lived in a Chicago suburb for a while and I lived in the city of Baltimore. Maybe it’s the three hour drive there? Maybe it’s the anticipation? Maybe it’s the reason I’m there? I don’t know. But Jeremy came with me this time, and it helped. Although he did tell me I was super chatty….but this is my usual response to nervousness.

So this time I came with a list of questions. What to do about my breasts? I’m happy to say, Dr. D offered a plan. This is very good. Because I need a plan. I very rarely do life without a plan. I like plans. It puts me at ease. Just to know he can try a few more things makes me happy. So on December 14th, he’s going to nip and tuck. (I’ve always wanted to say this….lol). But seriously….he’s going to nip…..or maybe tuck digger. Whatever it’s called….I’m just glad he thinks he can fill it in so there’s no indentation. And he’s gong to lift my breast flaps a bit. I can’t really explain why and wish I could show you how this will help, but I can’t show you, so just go ahead and take my word for it. I really think it will look better.

Then Dr. D had me go take some pictures. I really can say the before and current difference is truly amazing. I’m really surprised he takes my complaining so well because I’m telling you….I look AMAZING compared to my pre-reconstruction pictures.

He’s always such a good sport. He even called me clergygirl today….lol!

6.04 Jenny Juggs

Tit Terrorist

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

I apologise for the lateness of this review but my what a strange episode which I will mention later.  First I want to discuss the Teddy story within this episode.  Teddy’s plan to kill the McNamara’s goes into plan but fails.  I can’t figure out why she would want to kill Sean as well, she wouldn’t get any money doing that.  Well she tries to set up an alibi but that alibi turns out to be a psycho who attacks Teddy.  Do you think Teddy is dead?  I think it’s highly unlikely, she will survive and the blame for the murder attempt on the McNamara’s will probably fall on that guy.

Now I have to mention the tit terrorist named Jenny Jugs who assaulted Christian with her gigantic boobs.  Only on Nip/Tuck could you get a story like this.  She scared the shit out of me, I wouldn’t want to try and handle those things, they were bigger than my head.  The youtube video of her smashing up the pumpkin was great.

Matt’s storyline with the mime at first was stupid but it’s developed into something good.  We all know Matt is the ultimate fuck up ever but now he’s resorted to robbing places.  Now it’s backfired on him and he’s been shot, the truth will come out but what will Christian do.  Will he report him to the police or not?

This season of Nip/Tuck has been exellent so far, they are really cramming in a lot of story and moving plots forward quicker.  These are good signs that the show should go out on a high.

6.03 Briggitte Reinhold

Man, I feel like a woman.

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

Well Teddy’s plan is sort of coming together.  She and Sean eloped and her plan was starting to work out good for her.  She put the idea into Sean’s head that he should update his will, it worked, he has doubled his life insurance but has left it to Annie and Connor.  Now Teddy plans on killing both of them, though how that will ensure her the money is beyond me.  I think suspicion would be raised when Sean’s kids die and then him.  Anyway it will be intriguing to see what her plan is, let’s just hope she doesn’t succeed.

Loved how Christian tried to make sure that Mike and Kimber broke up.  I loved Sean saying that Christian and Kimber are the male and female versions of each other, so true.  They are perfect for each other and belong together in their warped version of a relationship.  Funny how Mike wearing women’s clothes backfired on him.  I wonder if we’ll be seeing Christian in fishnet stockings anytime soon?

Geeky Thoughts:-

• So what journey will Matt go on this season?  Is he going to continue his new life of crime?  Will that lead to more sinister things?  I see Carver version 2.
• It’s good to see Annie back, though it’s not good for her.  Her stepmom is out to kill her.
• That was a creepy mask.  Great for Halloween.

We’ve only had three episodes so far but I feel like a lot has happened already.  I’m liking this season so far, seems very grounded and not as wacky as last.

Favourite Scene: Teddy killing Briggitte Reinholt.  Creepy mask and horrible leaches.

Seems it’s not only us poor lowly Joe and Josephine Blogs who get ourselves deep down and dirty in debt.

X Factor judge and antipodean popstrel, Dannii Minouge was once £150,000 in the red.

But at least she was able to get herself out of the mire, cashing in on her famous name and her beautiful bod by posing naked for Playboy.

Dannii, 38, makes the admission on the next installment of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, to be shown this Saturday at 7pm on ITV.

She explains how she found herself owing thousands following the breakdown of her marriage to Julian McMahon, the tall, dark and handsome actor who went on to become a household name in plastic surgery soap, Nip/Tuck.

“I didn’t want to admit the trouble I was in,” says Dannii, adding how she could have asked singer sister Kylie for help but couldn’t bring herself to do it.

Needless to say  Dannii’s parents weren’t too chuffed, her dad telling her: “Doing this is forver – you can never change it.”

Dannii doesn’t reveal how much money she was paid but it must have been a mint, let’s face it the cheque would have been well over £150,00, banishing all her money worries.

She says the whole thing became something of an empowering exercise, with even her friends buying the magazine and telling her she looked lovely.

“It then felt like a celebration of me,” she tells former Miror newspaper editor, Piers.

You know some people might denounce Dannii for stripping off for cash, but I say why not?

If you have ever been deep in debt with no immediate way of getting out of it you know how scary the situation is.

Dannii had a way out and she took it. Good on her. Now all I need to do is lose three stone, get a boob lift and phone up Playboy!

6.02 Enigma

The Enigma of Sean McNamara.

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

Well after watching that I want to watch some cheery because it was certainly a dark and depressing episode.  Not all Nip/Tuck episodes are made to make you laugh and stare in disbelief by the raunchiness that is on display; some focus on the dark side of our character.

The episode was called Enigma due to the boy with all the carvings on his body but obviously it is a double meaning title and can refer to Sean.  Him as a character has always had a dark side to him.  Most of the time it doesn’t surface but we’ve seen in the past that it does rear it’s head from time to time.  He reaches new lows to try and score pills so he can sleep and by the end of the episode, he becomes disgusted with himself.

Christian comes up with an idea to make some money by getting Kimber to market his penis as a sex toy.  After Liz having words with Kimber, she does the right thing and screws over Christian by using Mike’s penis instead who hates it when his penis hits the water in the urinal when he’s taking a piss.  The look on Christian’s face was priceless.

Geeky Thoughts:-

• Teddy has now seen what Sean’s life insurance is worth.  She will be sticking around to make sure she marries Sean.
• Once Enigma’s carvings were removed, did he see the light?  Killing your parents, then yourself isn’t what I call seeing the light.
• Liz has now dropped the law suit but she’s removed Christian out of her life.  You can’t really blame her though.

Favourite Scene: Sean and the redhead in the ER room.  Weird to say the least.

4. M-am certat cu o inapta in postul de ieri-alaltaieri. Daca aveti chef sa vedeti cum se da o fatalitate rasfoiti comentariile la postul cu Bere VS Pasarica ( mi-e lene sa pun link )

5. Mi-a expirat Casco, dar no dinero sa facem altu. Mai aman putin. Face cineva o fata buna de vreo 30 milioane? Promit sa-i fut nevasta cand nu are chef. Daca esti femeie, nu-ti fut barbatul. Il duc la tarfe pe banii tai.

6. Am primit o sticla de Jameson ca am fost cu masina cand am furat mireasa. Cine se baga sa o anihilam?

7. N-am mai avut chef sa scriu pe blog, dar astazi voi scrie “Tehnici de sinucidere “. Sper sa iasa ceva util pentru toti care ascultati Tokyo Motel.

8. Am inceput un nou serial: Nip Tuck. E deja in sezonul al 6-lea. Azi termin sezonul 1 si ma enerveaza la culme, dar daca tot l-am inceput o sa-l si termin.

9. Am facut dus.

10. Aseara am fost sa vad cum ia Steaua bataie. Si am fost satisfacut.

Una misión nada sencilla, ya que las estrellas del Glee club incluyen a Kurt (Chris Colfer), un soprano con tendencia al drama constante; Mercedes (Amber Riley), una aprendiz de diva que se niega a estar en segundo plano; Arty (Kevin McHale), un nerd guitarrista en silla de ruedas y Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), una chica gótica que debe superar su tartamudeo antes de ser el centro de las miradas.
Las únicas dos esperanzas de Will que completan este particular grupo son Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), vanidosa y convencida que participar del coro la llevará al estrellato y Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), un deportista muy popular en el colegio, quien debe proteger su reputación frente a sus compañeros y su novia al ingresar al club.
Perseguido por su pasado y aunque todos a su alrededor crean que ha perdido la razón, Will está decidido a hacer lo que sea necesario para restaurar el prestigio del Glee Club. Él les demostrará lo contrario, desde su escéptica esposa Terry Schuester (Jessalyn Gilsig) hasta la autoritaria entrenadora de animadoras Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch).

6.01  Don Hoberman

Credit crunch for Nip/Tuck.  Which equates to new vaginas and wanking in front of blind lawyers.

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

Reviewing Nip/Tuck should be interesting to say the least.  We all know how crazy the show is, for five seasons it has pushed the envelope of what is decent to show on television.  It has broken boundaries and shocked us to the core and that’s what makes this show special.  This is the penultimate season of the show, after this episode they’re only 18 episodes of the show left.

Everyone is apparently feeling the recession and so is the land of the fictional worlds that many TV shows are set.  The crunch has hit the offices of McNamara/Troy and they are running out of money.  They come across Dr Mike Hamoui (the returning Mario Lopez) it’s good to see him back because I found him hilarious in his few scenes a couple of seasons past.  Well he brings an idea of reconstructing vaginas and Christian and Sean come up with a way of marketing it so they can earn some cash.

Christian asks for a divorce from Liz which we all expected.  Though she is a woman pissed off and wants half what he has.  I couldn’t believe my ears and eyes when the blind lawyer asked him to wank and describe in detail what he was doing.  Sean also seems to have troubles of his own, he cannot sleep and the recession is hitting him hard.  He is still with Teddy, who has now been replaced by Rose McGowen.  I really do hate when they change the actor/actress but I don’t mind in this case because it is Rose McGowen so it’s a good choice for replacement.

I have to spare a paragraph for Matt.  He is the ultimate facepalm, yes people, he is now a mime.  He is without a doubt one of the most dysfunctional characters to ever appear on screen.  He’s had quite a life, homemade circumcision, sex with a post-op transexual, relationship with a Nazi, Scientology, meth addict and now a mime.  There is probably a few things I missed out there but it’s a lot of fucked up shit for someone so young.  Now he’s a mime and committed armed robbery.  The writers must love coming up with ways to make Matt more of a fuck up than he already is.

Everything has changed for McNamara/Troy, business is not the same and well, life isn’t too.  They don’t have their youth anymore, they have to get with the times or they’ll become relics.

Favourite Scene: I loved the infomercial, so cheesy but funny.

Yes, I cannot wait for the new season tonight on FX…cheesy, I know.  But those nice male bare butts, sexual situations, and some “should be on HBO” language keeps me interested on boring nights.  Mr. Continuum left the audience last season when a woman lobbed off her breast with an electric meat cutter in our fair doctors’ reception room.  Botox injected into a baby’s lips for modeling was another tactless teaser with questionable moral value.  But this is what we tune in for, right? 

When last we left our favorite plastic surgeons, Christian Troy, the “never a dry dick” character,  had just married his long time female employee/friend, settling for her former lesbian self because he was diagnosed with cancer and had 6 months, give or take, to live.  She was someone who he could trust to get him through, plus, she’s a nurse so his egotistic self was assured the best care possible.  The last episode, unexpected yet expected, because, really, can they kill the main guy off?–featured Troy finding out from his doctor that his files had been mixed up–he was not dying, and his cancer was completely gone. 

Can’t wait for the repercussions of this marriage dilemma.  Did I say you could call me cheesy????????
