Idag skulle enligt mitt mentala planerande bli en effektiv och aktiv dag – ja det blev rena motsatsen.Totalt rena jävla motsatsen.

Började egentligen med att jag inatt låg och sov i soffan, vaknade, somnade om igen, vaknade, somnade om igen. Ja så var klockan halv nio och jag vaknade av solljus i ögonen. Kände mig som ett äckel och jag fattade ingenting, undrade ens om jag levde eller hade vandrat över till andra sida. Förflyttade mig i alla fall till sängen  och vaknade klockan halv två. Var fortfarande helt död och mosad i hjärnan.

Efter “frukost” och slappande började jag vakna till – klockan fyra. Sen lite datortid – klockan sex. Och ja sen hade jag enormt sug att se Nip/Tuck igen, och ja då gjorde jag det – fram till nu.

Så ja dagen blev ganska (enormt) händelsefattig jämfört med vad jag tänkt. Får väl ligga i imorgon och på söndag med min sckoola (säger bara HAHAHAHA, jag är sååå optimistisk och realistisk).

Nä nu ska jag se Nip/Tuck igen, denna underbara serie. Ja, det är nog min favoritserie, alla kategorier. Eller nja, det kan vara Family guy, eller kanske Curb your enthusiasm. Nej nu blev det svårt. Hur som helst är Nip/Tuck underbart.
I ett av avsnitten jag såg idag kom en kvinna in i en lobby, kopplade in en sån där elektriskt kalkonkniv/såg i eluttaget och började skära av sig en bröstet. Mysigt.

Rowrrr! With baby-faced beefcake “Extra” weekday host Mario Lopez on the Fox & Friends curvy couch, co-anchor Gretchen Carlson appeared ready to pounce. Thoughts of her very own “Saved by the Bell” boy toy seemed to permeate the atmosphere as she and her co-host, Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy, interviewed Lopez and even into the show’s subsequent block.

Before the segment, Brian gave his sportscast and named Minnesota Viking quarterback “forty-year old Brett Favre” as his choice as his weekly “Brian’s Best Player.” In an aside, he joked, “Hey, forty-year olds get off the couch, put on a uniform and the eye black. You can still play!” Before he segued to Lopez’ interview, the forty-three old Gretchen groused, “You make Favre and forties sound like it’s ancient.” Brian deadpanned, “it’s very old.”

During Lopez’ interview, Brian asked, “Am I right [that] you were never a dancer until you gave it a shot on Dancing with the Stars [2006].” After Lopez said that he had not danced since he was a child of five or six, Gretchen racily remarked, “Well, let me just tell you, you still have the moves!”

Later, when the F&F producers put up a pic of Lopez donning ladies’ lingerie, a Merry Widow variant, for FOX’s Nip/Tuck series, Gretchen oohed, “Aww, man! She suggestively added, “I understand the inside story on this was that you didn’t like the way your feet looked in the shoes but that some people liked you butt.” Reddening, Lopez asked, “Wait, what inside story is that?” Before she could answer, Brian interjected, “Yeah, what is going on, Gretchen? What are your sources?” Undeterred, Gretchen continued, “That’s what I read. I read the chicks are envious of your butt.” Apparently, rather ready to move on, Lopez deflectively declared, “I did not know that but…I was surprised they found heels…for a size eleven shoe.”

However, in the very next block, Gretchen was still purring. As she and Steve discussed mammogram and self-exams in a health care segment with Dr. Mehmet Oz (the host of the Dr. Oz Show” jested, “By the way, Mario Lopez is back in the green room trying to learn from me how to examine breasts.” Randily, Gretchen exclaimed, “I think he knows!” Finally, as the segment concluded, Gretchen lustily eyed the camera and cooed, “I’m not kidding, ladies.”

so i went and saw new moon today. i liked it even more than twilight, although the lack of r pats was disappointing even to me. i can’t wait for eclipse because that movie is gonna be ballin’. i know, it’s very borderline gay. whatevs. at least kristen stewart is finally figuring out how to act, a little bit. although i don’t know how someone as nice as taylor lautner is going to pull of the emo-tastic brooding jacob of the next movie.

oh yeah, i saw it...and liked it

this brings me to my next vampire point. the vampire diaries (or vamp’d) is definitely one of my favorite new shows, which draws largely in part from the fact that it’s written by kevin williamson, but also because i love anything supernatural. (check the post under this one, duh.) ian somerhalder and paul wesley are pretty sweet vamps, although nina dobrev isn’t the greatest, i enjoy the show nonetheless. definitely my favorite new show…after…

vampires creek...oh, mix up

glee. this show is down-and-out the happiest, most upbeat show with a message i’ve ever seen. it makes me feel good just watching it. matthew morrison is an amazing actor, singer, dancer and i give major props to ryan murphy on the creation of this bad boy. who would have ever thought that the guy who brought us nip/tuck could bring about something this spectacular and positive.

6.06 Alexis Stone

Mother from hell.

Well the return of Julia’s mother, Dr. Erica Noughton (Vanessa Redgrave) was always going to cause trouble for both Sean and Julia.  Mother satan wants custody of Conner and Annie and it looks like she could achieve that goal.  She’s got a lot of evidence against Sean and Julia.  She has even married a young Italian man who wants to have kids.  The evidence is pilled up on the parents and it will be interesting to see how Sean and Julia work together to make sure they keep their children.

Christian and Kimber as we all know are perfectly suited to each other.  It looks like the conclusion for both of their characters is that they end up together.  She has now finished with Mike and it seems that they will get back together.  Will it work out for them?  Probably not, while they are perfect for each other, I don’t think two people like Christian and Kimber can stay in a real relationship.

Geeky Thoughts:-

• The actress who played Alexis was in Dirty Sexy Money and in real life she had a sex change operation.  How could you change your mind to go back?  When Christian was telling her all about the surgery, it didn’t make me feel good.
• Matt is helping Erica get custody of Annie and Conner.  He’s even a fuck up inside.  While Sean and Julia aren’t the best parents in the world, they don’t deserve their children taken away from them.
• Oh and Erica was right, Matt does need to be someone’s bitch.  He’s been a bitch all his life.

Favourite Scene: I really liked Christian telling Liz his problem.  Detailing what he did to Alexis.  Then her reaction.

Agamben wrote of the doctor who, terminally ill with leukemia, turns his body into a laboratory. This marks a certain extreme point in the production of the biopolitical body.  But what are we to make of the plastic surgeons who operates on the mere surface of bodies, and even their own — or, rather, who affect this surface from just behind it.  Can we speak of a threshold beyond the threshold: of a space of pure surface, in which the involuted topology of the biopolitical body has been folded out again into a contact, essential and irreducible, with the values (metaphysical, spectacular, even ideological) that have always concealed its presence. Of course: the surface is just a surface.  But doesn’t this surface already come from beyond the depths?

The beauty of appearance resists biopolitical formations.  The cosmetic surface of the body, as limit and boundary, is the zone of a coming-into-appearance that always transcends the structure of sovereign domination.  Hannah Arendt, in the Human Condition, saw this clearly: the fateful turn of metaphysics was from the idea of beauty to the idea of the good.  We cannot exactly follow her in a move that threatens to aestheticize politics, but there is this grain of truth: the superfluity of beauty resists the gesture by which power enforces itself through the production of depths. It is the anti-metaphysical moment of metaphysics: the surface of metaphysics that betrays its inner truth. There can be no return to the polis: but perhaps we can recognize in the everyday a residual space of appearance.

Yet this resistance — this is the decisive point — only becomes operative by an overexposure.  The skin, exposed, becomes doubly exposed.  Beauty can only appear by being rent, even gouged, apart. What is only skin deep can no longer be only skin deep.

The plastic surgeon wants to operate on himself. This is impossible for every other surgeon.  But for the plastic surgeon it is almost possible. The next best thing is to get a friend to do it: surgery, the most violent of interventions, becomes the gift of friendship.

A strange exchange.  Politicians becoming doctors, doctors becoming politicians — this is the terrible story of the 20th century.  But now doctors become friends…

The greatness of the modern television drama is this: the perfect fusion of kitsch sentimentality and macabre, Baroque, sophistication.  If there were only aesthetic daring, the relentless exposure of nasty truth, it would be much more insipid, predictable, easy.  The plastic surgeon  — like the vampire, like the undertaker — is a metaphor for this uncanny conjunction.  The corpus, invoked in the first gestures of political modernity, becomes the beautiful corpse.

Is the camp the paradigm of biopolitical modernity? Or is it not, rather, Miami: the city overwhelmed with floods of every kind — of refugees, of drugs, of crime, and every sort of “contamination.”  The city exposed: the city as the exposure and porosity of national boundaries.  But also of savage, fake beauty…

Só pra esclarecer que os momentos aqui são até a quarta temporada que é até onde eu vi. São alguns episódios que pra mim foram marcantes, tanto no quesito nojento/estranhopracarai/emocionei/me-do/tenso. Apesar de não ser uma série tão vangloriada assim, Nip/Tuck já está na sua 6ª e última temporada, e pra mim, ela tem sido muito boa, me surpreendo cada vez mais com as bizarrices, com as cenas MUITO bem feitas das cirurgias, e com os personagens que ficam cada vez mais sem noção nenhuma. hahaha. Ah sim, contém spoilers.

Kurt Dempsey

É um paciente que está noivo de uma mulher asiática, e pede que Sean e Christian deixe os olhos dele como os da noiva, para que a família o aceite. Apesar de não ser uma cirurgia muito bizarra, o legal é que no final, a mãe da noiva enxerga de cara que Kurt não é asiático, mas acaba aceitando-o pois acha que alguém que se submete a uma cirurgia dessas pra ser aprovado pela família, merece sua filha.

Cara Fitzgerald

É uma estudante que foi atropelada pelo filho do Sean, e deixada na sarjeta. A história é mais complexa que isso, mas o bizarro mesmo é como o rosto dela fica.  De 14 ossos do rosto humano, ela quebra 10, e sua mãe, que é muito religiosa, diz que o médico não pode tratá-la, nem opera-la nem nada, apenas fazer orações.

Montana/Sassy/Justice

É uma paciente bizarra com 3 personalidades diferentes. Montana é a pessoa principal, Sassy é uma outra personalidade dela, só que infantil. E a terceira é Justice, um homem violento. Cada personalidade quer uma coisa, então já dá pra imaginar a zona né?

Rose & Raven Rosenberg

O episódio conta a história de gemeas siamesas que nasceram grudadas pela cabeça..A história delas é muito foda…e o episódio é bem triste.. Após a cirurgia, só uma sobrevive, e a outra, que não consegue viver sem a irmã, morre ao saber da notícia. No final, a mãe pede que as junte de novo para que sejam enterradas juntas, como sempre foram.

Hannah Tedesco

Duas mães vão até a clinica e pedem para que os médicos façam um transplante de face de uma filha pra outra. A que irá receber teve o rosto arrancado por um brinquedo num parque de diversões, e a que vai doar, está em coma, vivendo como vegetal há meses. As duas mães se conheceram na clínica médica e ficaram próximas, e a mãe da menina que está morrendo, decide abrir mão da vida da filha pra salvar outra, muito tenso também!

Frankenlaura

Sean e Christian visitam o necrotério onde um empregado criou uma mulher com partes do corpo de outra mulher. O cara era apaixonado por essa tal mulher morta, e como só tinha a cabeça dela,  montou com partes de outros corpos. No final a gente descobre que ela a irmã dele.

Ben White

Conta a história de um cara que sofre de uma doença onde ele sente que um membro seu não faz parte do seu corpo, então ele chega na clinica querendo amputar sua perna, completamente perfeita, pois não consegue mais viver assim. Apesar de ser um homem bem sucedido, ele mostra que isso é algo que ele não pode conviver, além de andar de muletas há anos diz que se os médicos não fizerem a cirurgia de remoção, ele mesmo fará.

Momma Boone

Pra mim um dos mais nojentos e tensos, hahaha, Sean recebem um chamado pra ir tirar no sofá uma mulher de 600kg que não sai dali há 3 anos. O chamado foi recebido logo após os vizinhos perceberem o cheiro ruim que vinha da casa. Ao examiná-la, o médico notam que sua pele aderiu ao sofá, e por estar há três anos ali, todos as suas necessidades foram feitas ali mesmo, o que facilitou para que sua pele grudasse e começasse a desistegrar.

Natasha Charles

Um episódio que dá bastante aflição, onde uma mulher cega faz um implante de olhos artificiais, só para estética mesmo, e o mais tenso é que ela permanece em alguns episódios, e tira e poe as próteses sempre.

6.05 Abigail Sullivan

Two sides of everything

Remember this will be a SPOILER review.

I am honestly quite surprised that the whole Teddy storyline is finished with.  To me it seemed a very abrupt end to the storyline and with the recasting of Rose McGowen in the role, I thought that the story would go on all season.  It seems this season that plots are being resolved quicker which I think is a great thing.

It’s quite ironic that while Teddy tried to get an alibi, that alibi turned out to be a psycho killer who killed her and chopped her up into god knows how many pieces.  I liked that he was disgusted that she would kill children just to get money.  Though how was Teddy’s plan going to work?  For me it’s a major plot hole.  If Sean was dead, she wouldn’t have got any money.  I’m thinking the writers wanted to end the story quicker than probably plannned so it all seemed a bit rushed.

The fuck up that is Matt has ended up in the place he was destined to be for a long time now.  After being shot, Christian and Sean help him but Christian is adamant that Matt should turn himself into the police.  Julia return and agrees that Matt is the worst son of all time and agrees with Christian.  So Matt is going to jail.  I’m not too sure what’s left for the character.  Hopefully we don’t see too much of his jail time but this is Nip/Tuck.  I bet we’ll be seeing him avoid getting shafted in the showers or something along Nip/Tuck’s twisted ways.  Hopefully prison will do the guy some favours.

Geeky Thoughts:-

• Julia, all she does is berate Sean.  I really do hate her.
• Sean stripping naked and going for a swim in the ocean.  He’s a braver man than me.  I wouldn’t want to be stung by any jellyfish.
• Hopefully Julia is around for too long.

I’m glad that the Teddy story was resolved.  Now we can move on and I’m looking forward to what’s coming next.  This season has been excellent so far and if they can keep the quality going then the show will end as it started.

In the pilot episode of FX network hit, Nip/Tuck, character Kimber Henry insists, “I don’t want to be pretty. I want to be better.”

And that’s the point. Nip/Tuck doesn’t try to be pretty; even more so, it fails almost weekly. The show follows the surgical and sexual exploits of McNamara/Troy, a fictional plastic surgery office owned by college buddies Sean McNamara and Christian Troy, and the comings and goings of the freaks, addicts and sex-pots that litter the show’s character list.

Each episode follows one secondary character seeking plastic surgery and while many think the show is a jumping-off point for Playboy big boobs and bottle blonde dye jobs, Nip/Tuck fights against a soap opera-meets-TMZ stereotype. The characters’ self-hatred and desire for change varies from the egoistical to the practical, from facelifts to lifestyle change, all while readily supplying drama, witty dialogue, and fascinating characters.

The show doesn’t define itself on ratings or awards, though it has both. It’s not flashy. It doesn’t want to be. When the show is good, it’s intelligent, riveting and thought provoking, In season three, a white supremacist decides to bleach her skin after discovering her hidden black ancestry and the effect is groundbreaking. Granted, her black ancestry was slight, but it was enough to cleverly play on the show’s theme of “tell me what you don’t like about yourself”. The physical pain of bleached skin paired with her inner hatred catapulted the show into a discussion on race, hate, and beauty. Molested as a young boy by his foster father, whose last name he adopts, Christian Troy discovers in one episode that he is the product of rape and his biological mother refuses to see him after realizing he has become the spitting image of her rapist. The underlying element to this character, his self-hatred, influences his sexual promiscuity and his own desire for maintaining perfection in his own body and crafting it in others throughout the series.

Alas, there’s a downside to everything and Nip/Tuck’s alter ego is itself: Nip/Tuck the Terrible. When the show is bad, it makes fun of itself, as if it knows there is a shortage of ideas. Kimber, a former porn star, turned to Scientology for one season, heroin another, then went back into porn. Season six, the current and final season, turned one of the main characters into a mime; not just any mime, but the kind that likes to silently rob convenient stores for rent money. Yes, quickie-mart robbing mimes.

The ugliest aspect of Nip/Tuck is its continual limitation of its own work. Radical in its beginning with constant character transformations and stunning revelations, the show took on too many names and faces, running out of places to put them. The original cast, a total of about seven, has lost presence and dominance as the writers give dialogue and story to background characters. Part of the problem is the show’s split-season conception where a huge gap of time, six months to a year, separates both halves. Regular viewership is hard to maintain where advertising for this risqué show is limited to FX and a few other networks, often beginning very close to the premiere episode. Nip/Tuck’s viewership is lost when audiences have to resort to online recaps to remember what happened in a previous season. It’s even worse when it introduces new characters that one can never quite figure out if the they were there before.

No one watches Nip/Tuck because it’s aesthetically pleasing. Among graphic surgery sequences of every body part, including a recent episode involving a woman’s parasitic dead twin being removed and later reinserted into her body, and sex scenes galore, Nip/Tuck remains a controversial series that just isn’t pretty to watch. It’s graphic, sharp and candid. Sometimes it hits with you an idea, makes you laugh, and sometimes, when a woman makes a stuffed teddy bear out of a man, it bothers you. It’s an evolving piece of art, enticing dialogue and intrigue.

Nip/Tuck is disturbingly smart and grotesque. If you’re looking for pretty, watch Grey’s Anatomy.

I apologise for the lateness of this review but my what a strange episode which I will mention later.  First I want to discuss the Teddy story within this episode.  Teddy’s plan to kill the McNamara’s goes into plan but fails.  I can’t figure out why she would want to kill Sean as well, she wouldn’t get any money doing that.  Well she tries to set up an alibi but that alibi turns out to be a psycho who attacks Teddy.  Do you think Teddy is dead?  I think it’s highly unlikely, she will survive and the blame for the murder attempt on the McNamara’s will probably fall on that guy.

Now I have to mention the tit terrorist named Jenny Jugs who assaulted Christian with her gigantic boobs.  Only on Nip/Tuck could you get a story like this.  She scared the shit out of me, I wouldn’t want to try and handle those things, they were bigger than my head.  The youtube video of her smashing up the pumpkin was great.

Matt’s storyline with the mime at first was stupid but it’s developed into something good.  We all know Matt is the ultimate fuck up ever but now he’s resorted to robbing places.  Now it’s backfired on him and he’s been shot, the truth will come out but what will Christian do.  Will he report him to the police or not?

This season of Nip/Tuck has been exellent so far, they are really cramming in a lot of story and moving plots forward quicker.  These are good signs that the show should go out on a high.

Nip/Tuck this week was hilarious. Christian meets a stripper at his usual strip club, apparently, who is “just his type.” The woman has ENORMOUS breasts that are allegedly natural, but they look like the boobs Selma Blair had as Ursula Udders in A Dirty Shame. Jenny, evidently, is a “feminist,” but I don’t think that word means what you think it means. In this case, it means that Jenny exacts vigilante justice on men who offend her by punching them with her breasts or breaking their phones and Halloween pumpkins. The least ludicrous thing about this is that it seems like that should hurt her.

In the end, she goes to Troy/MacNamara to have them reduced and sort of loses her mind since her boobs, apparently, were her whole identity, which used to be what bugged her and now suddenly doesn’t? I don’t know.

Teddy Roe’s story possibly comes to a close when threatens to institutionalize Annie and then drugs the MacNamaras with roofied s’mores (must try that) and tries to murder the family but instead almost gets murdered by an opera listening, wine drinking, perseids watching, camping serial killer. It’s possibly she does get killed off-screen, but Melrose Rules apply– no one’s dead until the head is separated from the body. Meanwhile, since Annie is a friend of Ana and Mia and she wakes up in time to rescue the fam from carbon monoxide poisoning.

I love that Nip/Tuck is so amoral that the lesson of this episode is: “You’re right to hate your stepmother even if she seems to be doing everything right, and anorexia will save your life. Plus you can’t scheme a schemer.”

On Law & Order:  SVU:

After a crime scene photo of a murdered teenage girl rapidly becomes an Internet phenomenon, the police initiate an investigation with the victim’s father, Greg Dunne. When Greg points the detectives towards Martin Gold, his daughter’s suspicious therapist, it turns out that Gold’s alibi is airtight. While Fin and Munch are busy tracking down the girl’s stolen credit card, Dr. Melinda Warner and Detective Elliot Stabler discover that one of Gold’s other patients has broken into the morgue. The case takes an unexpected turn, revealing a sinister prescription for murder at the hands of unlikely suspects.

I am still sticking to the belief that SVU is the best Law & Order on the air today.  It’s a shame that the original isn’t as good as it used to be.

On Eastwick this evening:

Roxie is determined to fulfill Chad’s last wish, if she can figure out what it is; Joanna deals with her lingering questions about the kidnapping ordeal; Kat realizes that Bun’s old friend (Cybill Shepherd) may have the answers she needs.

Perhaps we will finally get some interesting info fro Cybill Shepherd’s character’s turbin?

Tonight on Ghost Hunters:

 The West is about to get a whole lot wilder with special guest Eddie McClintock from Warehouse 13.

I love when TAPS has guest investigators!  Although no one is going to ever compare to the great Meatloaf!

Then on The Middle:

Axl accidentally breaks down the front door and Mike insists he fix it; Frankie may be forced to wear a dog suit.

This show is surprisingly relateable.  It’s really a nice sitcom for ABC to be airing!

Next on Modern Family:

The family comes out to support Manny’s newfound interest, fencing; Phil is determined to find Luke’s hidden talent.

I’m glad to see that Al Bundy has work nowadays.  Plus this show is the only thing like Arrested Development on the air!

And on Cougar Town tonight:

Jules reluctantly accepts a date with an older man just to get out of the house; Grayson makes a bet with Jules that she can’t spend a day by herself.

I hope that I am not the only person watching this sitcom, it would be a shame for it to be cancelled.

And finally on the season premiere of Nip/Tuck:

Christian struggles to understand a patient with big anger-management issues. Sean and Christian learn how Matt is earning an income, despite his attempts to keep it hidden from his family. Teddy arranges a camping trip with Sean, Annie and Conor in order to ease family tensions.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t trust Teddy.  I wonder why…  Oh yeah!  She’s a psychopath with a false identity who seems to be hellbent on killing Sean and his kids!  Sean needs to wake up and realize something is up with that woman!

I just added the new ABC show FlashForward, to my must-see-TV list. The list is already crammed with House, Dexter, Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, 30Rock, Fringe, Criminal Minds, Family Guy, How I met your mother, It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia, True Blood, Californication, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Simpsons, South Park and Breaking Bad. Too many? Yeah. And I’m pretty sure I may have left someone out.

I have nevertheless promised myself to not even glance toward Mad Men or Bones, because I’m sure I’ll get hooked. And I have to keep a spot open for the return of 24.

Oh, and Nip/Tuck. See, I did leave someone out. Damn it.
