Gerekli dosyaları indirdikten sonra ilk olarak Framework kurulup sisteminizi restart ( yeniden başlat ) ediniz.

Daha sonra aşağıdaki sıralamaya göre basit bir şekilde defaults ( öntanımlı)

Yukarda pencerede gördüğümüz gibi language bölümünden bize uygun dil seçeneğini seçip kısa bir süre bekliyoruz ve bundan sonra yapacağımız bütün işlemler Türkçe olarak devam ediyor.

Yukarıda belirtmiş olduğumuz XP CD’sini masa üstünde oluşturacağımız dizine kopyalarken dikkat etmeniz gereken önemli bir nokta ise C: sürücünüzün boş disk kapasitesi olarak en az 2 GB boş alana ihtiyaç duymasıdır. Eğer yeterli disk alanınız yoksa ya farklı bir sürücü üzerinde işlem yapmanızı veya ana dizininiz üzerinde yeterli boş alanı oluşturmanız gerekmektedir.

Göz at butonuna tıkladıktan sonra karşımıza XP CD’mizi kopyaladığımız dizinin nerede olduğunu soran bir prompt gelecek. Bu prompt üzerinden Windows yükle dosyalarını kaydettiğiniz klasör/dizini işaretleyerek “Tamam” butonuna tıklayınız.

Yukarıdaki pencerede kopyaladığımız CD içeriğinin Windows XP Home Edition olduğunu ve hiç service pack entegre edilmediğini görüyoruz ve şimdi devam ediyoruz.

Yukarda ki ekranda ise eğer siz ilk defa nlite kullanıyorsanız. Oturum bilgileri hakkında bilgileri göremezsiniz. Peki soracak olursanız bu son oturum bilgileri nelerdir. Nlite ile daha önce oluşturmuş olduğunuz ayarları bir ini dosyasına yazar. Daha sonra tekrar CD üzerinde bir değişiklik yapmak istediğinizde ise daha önce oluşturmuş olduğunuz ini dosyasından bilgileri okuyarak yapacağı işlemleri tekrar yükler. Biz şimdi “Son Oturumu” seçerek devam ediyoruz.

Yukarıda ekranda ise görev seçimlerini görüyoruz. Kopyalamış olduğumuz XP CD’si ilk versiyon olduğu için service pack eklemeside yapacağız. Ardından hotfix yani Windows update paketlerini indirip bunları da XP CD’imiz içerisine yerleştireceğiz. Ardından Kendi bilgisayarımıza ait Ekran kartı chipset gibi donanım parçalarına ait güncel dirverleri indirerek yine XP CD’imiz içerisine entegre edecegiz. Şimdi Açılabilir ISO oluştur hariç bütün seçenekleri seçelim ve devam butonuna basalım.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 Download :

Yukarıdaki pencerede XP CD’mize Serive Pack 2 entegre ediyoruz. Burada bir hatırlatma yapalım eğer CD’miz ilk çıkan service packsiz bir versiyon ise SP1 entegre etmeye gerek yoktur. Çünkü SP2 içerisinde aynı zamanda SP1’ide barındırır.

Yukarıda ki pencere gördüğümüz gibi sistemiz için gerekli sürücüler açıklamaları ile birlikte mevcut. Bu konumda dikkat etmeniz gereken bir konu var buda gereksiz yere bütün makinelerde kullanabilirim düşüncesiyle bütün sürücüleri CD içerisine entegre ederseniz bazı kurulum hataları ve yanlış donanım yüklemeleri kaçınılmaz olur. Özellikle chipsetlerle ilgili driversleri birbirine karıştırmamaya özen gösterin. Grafik network genelde problem yaratmaz. Örneğin benim kullanmakta olduğum CD içersinde ATI ve Nvidia graphic sürücüleri sorunsuz olarak çalışabiliyor.

Şimdi bileşenler ekleyip kaldırmak için devam ediyoruz. Burası aslında o kadar önemli bir bölüm değil tamamı ile emin olmadan hiçbir bileşeni kaldırmayın bence hiçbir işlem yapmadan devam edin zaten menulere dikkat ederseniz emin değilseniz işaretlemeyin diye bir uyarı göreceksiniz. Hiç bir şeye dokunmadan Otomatik kurulum seçeneklerine geçmek için devam diyelim

Kurulum modu olarak her zaman DefaultHide seçeneğini kullanmanızı tavsiye ederim. Diğer seçenekler için açıklamalar aşağıdaki gibidir.

Bu bölümde ise Bilgisayarın kayıt bilgileri ve Administrator şifresi hakkında gerekli bilgiler istenmektedir.

Bu Bölümde ise CD Anahtarı ve bazı ufak tefek ayarları yapabilmektesiniz.

Diğer tab menuleri gezdiğimizde kurulum esnasında yapmış olduğumuz bir çok işlemin cevaplarını önden cevaplayarak kurulum yapmaktayız. Fazla resim kalabalığı yapmamak için hepsini anlatmaya gerek duymuyorum. Devam diyerek seçeneklere geçiyoruz.

Burada benim tercihim Kurulum ekranını klasik (win2k tarzı) ve siyah arka planı aktif olarak seçerek devam ediyorum. Bu tür klasik kurulumlar diğer sitile göre daha hızlı olmaktadır kesinlikle önerilir. Gerekli değişiklikleri yaptıktan sonra devam diyerek yamalar bölümüne geçiyoruz.

Max. TCP/IP tamamlanmamış eş zamanlı bağlantı yaması bilhassa emule ve torrent gibi download programları kullananlar için gerekli olabilir.
USB seçim frekansı sizin kullandığınız cihazlara göre değişebilir. Eğer bir fikriniz yok ise öntanımlı değerinde bırakmanız önerilir.
Imzasız tema yaması aktif olması internetten indirmiş olduğunuz farklı Windows temalarını imzaya ihtiyaç duymaksızın kullanabilirsiniz. Aktif bırakılması önerilir.

Bu bölümde ise açılışta klasik açılış ekranı, internet Explorer açılış sayfasının defaults değerleri, İnternet Explorer üzerinden max. Eşzamanlı download özellikleri gibi bir çok ince ayarlara ulaşabilirsiniz. Kırmız ile işaretlemiş olanlardan tam olarak emin değilseniz işlem yapmanız önerilmez. Artık CD üzerinde yapacağımız bütün ayalar bitmiş durumda devam butonuna tıklayarak yapılan ayarları CD üzerinde uygulayabilirsiniz.

Evet diyerek yaptığımız ayarların CD’ye uygulanmasını sağlıyoruz. Bu işlemler yapılırken gerekli uyarılara dikkat ediniz. Her hangi bir yanlış ayar CD’nizin düzgün çalışmamasına neden olabilir.

Yapılan işlemler sonunda XP CD’miz hazır durumda tabi şimdi bunu ISO haline getirip CD’ye yazmamız gerekecek. Burada aslında devam ederek CD isomuzuda oluşturabilirdik. Tabi eğer CD miz içerisinde gerekebilecek bir program dizini atmak isteiyorsak.

Artık bundan sonra geriye kalan hazırlamış olduğumuz XP CD’sini CD-ROM sürücümüze yerleştirip. Yeni ve katılımsız bir kurulum yapmak kalıyor.
Nlite Programı kurulduktan sonra Finish butonuna bastığımızda karşımıza aşağıdaki şekilde bir ekran gelecek.

Peralatan dan tetekbengek yang diperlukan :

- Nlite software (freeware) download disini

- dotNET framework 2.0

- SATA Driver dari CD Acer (jika tidak punya pake driver dari 4530.download disini)

Langkah-langkahnya :

- Install software Nlite-nya

- Masukkan CD windows XP SP3 ke CDROM

- Copy-kan keseluruhan isi CD tersebut ke suatu folder, misal C://WinXP-OS

- Jalankan Nlite, Browse lokasi Win XP

- Pilih Driver dan Bootable ISO

- Masukkan CD Acer lalu sisipkan driver SATA nya

- bikin ISO nya, setelah itu bakar ke dalam CD

- Modified win XP siap dicicipi

Anda pasti pernah menginstall Notebook/PC dengan langsung memasukkan CD Windows XP kedalam DVD-ROOM dan langsung mulai booting, eh ternyata sampai dengan pembacaan driver HDD SATA langsung muncul “Blue Screen” (layar biru) dan instalasi tidak bisa dilanjutkan (hang). Hal ini dikarenakan Notebook/ PC Anda sudah menggunakan hardisk sata. Cara paling mudah adalah dengan men-disable SATA pada BIOS-nya,  tetapi bagaimana kalau tidak terdapat pengaturan untuk mendisable SATA pada BIOS-nya???.

Solusinya adalah dengan ikut menginstal driver SATA XP saat install Windows XP karena secara default tidak mendukung SATA. Ada beberapa cara untuk menginstal driver tersebut. Salah satu caranya yaitu dengan menggunakan 3,5 Floppy (masih ingat kan dengan disket?), tetapi floppy disk saat ini sudah jarang digunakan dan diintegrasikan kedalam notebook/laptop, bisa menggunakan USB floppy drive, tapi harganya tidak murah?.

Ada salah satu cara yang paling mudah dan efisien, adalah dengan re-mastering windows xp (membuat CD Master XP yang ditambahkan driver SATA didalamnya sesuai dengan kompabilitas Notebook/PC Anda yang biasanya ada pada CD Recovery bawaan pada Notebook/PC Anda atau bisa mendownload-nya dari internet) dengan menggunakan SOFTWARE NLite. Przeznaczeniem poradnika jest rozwiązanie dwóch podstawowych problemów:

Zdarza się, że sterowniki są udostępnionie w różnej formie. Czasami są w pliku *.exe, które trzeba ekstrahować, czasami w zip’ie , a czasami jakiś pacan wymyśli Make disc do którego jest potrzebny flop i dyskietka .

Wkładamy płytę CD z Windows XP do napędu.
Instalujemy Nlite i uruchamiamy

Wskazujemy napęd, w który załadowaliśmy płytę z XP i chwilę po tym każe nam wskazać katalog docelowy przygotowywanej płyty instalacyjnej. Ten katalog dobrze sobie wcześniej utworzyć.

Na kolejnym oknie nic nie naciskamy poza DALEJ. Na moim screenie jest Poprzednia sesja, a to jakby ktoś chciał się parę razy bawić

Teraz najważniejsze okienko, w którym wybieramy TYLKO -> Service Pack + Sterowniki + Boot-owalny obraz ISO. Klikamy DALEJ

Pojawia się ostrzeżenie, my się oczywiście zgadzamy i klikamy TAK

Teraz wybieramy nasz SP3 który wcześniej ściągnęliśmy ze strony MS. Trwa wyodrębnianie i integrowanie. Okienko „Instalacja zintegrowana została pomyślnie ukończona „ podnosi nas na duchu, że idzie na razie nieźle . Klikamy DALEJ

Nadszedł czas na sterowniki
W tym okienku klikamy DODAJ i wybieramy Pojedynczy sterownik. Wskazujemy ścieżkę do naszego katalogu ze sterownikimi SATA . Widoczne będą dwa pliki, klikamy obojętnie który.


Otwiera nam się okienko z dość sporym wyborem. Tu nam się przyda znajomość, jaki chipset mamy na płycie głównej. Ja mam Foxconna P35as, więc wybrałem ICH9 SATA AHCIControler (desktop ICH9R). Można oczywiście z ctrl wybrać parę sterowników, tylko po co?

Klikamy DALEJ i grzecznie nas się pyta czy Rozpocząć.

W kolejnym okienku możemy sobie zmienić nazwę etykiety np. XPSATA i wciskamy UTWÓRZ OBRAZ wskazując ścieżkę zapisu.

Dalej i ZAKOŃCZ

Mamy już przygotowany obraz płytki instalacyjnej systemy z zintegrowanym SP3 oraz sterownikami SATA.
Teraz nadszedł czas na sprawdzenie naszej płytki. Należy ją wypalić. Każdy ma soje ulubione softy, ale ja polecam ImgBurn http://www.imgburn.com/ . Jego zalety to free i prostota.

Instalujemy i uruchamiamy program. Wciskamy Write image file to disc, następnie Source i wskazujemy nasz przygotowany obraz. Po wypaleniu CD możemy przystąpić do instalacji systemu korzystając z innego poradnika

Ao tentar instalar o Windows XP em um NoteBook Sony Vaio novo(zero), acontecia o seguinte erro:

STOP: 0×0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0×00000000, 0×00000000)   – Isto ocorria após confirma para iniciar pelo CD e o sistema carregar alguns arquivos.
A solução foi baixar o NLite e gerar um novo arquivo . ISO, para instalação do Windows XP com os drivers da controladora SATA do equipamento em questão, após acrescentar estes drivers foi o fim da tela azul no inicio da instalação do windows XP.
Caso tenha alguma dúvida de como utilizar o NLite, use este tutorial do site ZWAME ou pode procurar por alguns outro tutorial de como acrescentar drivers no NLite.
Obs: Eu já tinha um CD com driver de Storage, que funciona em modelos mais antigos, mas como este modelo de equipamento é novo, precisei fazer um novo CD com o bendito driver. Ou caso prefira também pode colocar outros drivers; Video, Audio, Rede, etc.
 Também serve para quando esta instalando o Windows e quando chegar na parte que escolhe o HD para formatar e o sistema diz que não encontra o disco rígido.

Recently I decided to get out the old GTA2 Laptop again. Why GTA2? Because that was its killer application, as it only features a 600 Mhz Intel Celeron, some on-board graphics card and 64 MB of RAM. This game runs pretty well while being very much fun, especially the LAN mode is just awesome. If you never played GTA2 yet, here’s a multiplayer gameplay video I just googled up. Also the game became freeware, so if you like it download it!

But let’s get to the point of the article. I have always played with the thought of installing (any) Linux on this notebook, until yesterday it was running a very nlited Windows XP.  So I finally decided to throw that off the about 5 GB harddrive and give arch a shot. Why did I choose Arch and not lets say Debian? The later one compiles x86 packages for i386, but archlinux compiles to i686, which is less backward compatible, but a bit faster. Plus the other reasons why I just love archlinux – simple configuration, pacman and yaourt, aur and so on.

While downloading the lastest snapshot for i686, I browsed a bit around and came across this thread from which I used their suggestions to add lowmem to the kernel line as well as setting ramdisk to 20% (also kernel line in grub). Then /arch/setup worked out pretty good, just like any installation. It was a bit slower of course, but I didn’t expect it to behave different.

Suprisingly WLAN actually worked with ndiswrapper, I was not sure about that at all. This laptop has a T-Com Sinus 154 Card, I took the windows driver from the installation CD. The next not-so-clear-thing was setting up xorg without nvidia (I’m used to do it with that), but after I found hwd, it worked out fine.

To get decent performance, only lightweight and fast software would work. As WM I chose openbox with the lxpanel. The browser with the best performance after text browsers is propably dillo. But dillo can’t even display common websites like wikipedia and google right, because its CSS implementation has just started. Even worse, javascript does not work at all, so sadly half the web does not work. If you just want to do some quick research, it is enough though, so I kept it installed. Firefox was slow as hell, just the experience I had using it with windows XP. Because of that I tried some alternative browsers. Chromium (the opensource project behind Google Chrome without the spyware) just segfaulted, so I tried the closed source Opera (10). Yaourt -Ss opera lead me to opera-snapshot from the archlinuxfr repository, which was actually pretty fast. In every other case, it would have been Firefox. But as this was just a matter of speed, Opera took the cake.

Other software I installed is mpd, mpc and for the first time QMPDClient as GUI. Mpd is very lightweight and can be used without a X server, just like unix tools should behave. I chose the said graphical user interface, because it is not written in script-languages like python or perl, but in c++ which not only has less dependencies, but also brings more speed. In fact, I have nothing python or perl related installed on this machine.

Another pick was OpenSSH and SSHFS over nfs and samba. Why? Because nfs did not work at all and samba plus its dependencies was about 100 megabytes. When I mounted my laptop’s music folder on my desktop computer, I was able to fill it from within amarok via drag and drop, just like any mp3 player, which is quite useful

Other applications I installed and tested were pidgin, codeblocks and lbreakout2. For pidgin, I think BitlBee plus something like xchat would be the better choice, but I have not tried that yet. It was usable though, as well as codeblocks and lbreakout2 were. What I did not try yet is GTA2 (with wine), but I will likely do that.

No desktop icons, no wallpaper

Software I did not install on purpose: A program that displays a wallpaper and/or desktop icons and a file manager. These are just too wasteful for that little system.

Update: As expected, GTA2 is not playable at all. The wine-layer is just slowing it down too much, and while epsxe offers more tweaking, it is not faster. On the other hand, I’ve got bitlbee with the otr patch running. Bitlbee is a fake IRC server which displays contacts from other IM networks that all IRC programs can connect to. Since I found out that Opera has an integrated IRC client, I don’t even need another program and so I removed pidgin.

Furthermore I did not mention the usage of the Vorbis audio codec yet, which is better known by its file extension ogg. Because they are so small, you can easily fit much music on such a tiny harddrive. Oh and I compile most aur packages from my arch32 environment on my desktop pc. That saves much time.

So in conclusion there’s pretty much you can do with a low-end machine like this. The most exciting feature for me is ssh and ssh-fs. GTA2 does not work anymore, but I have played the single player mode almost through anyway. LBreakout2 works fine and without making the cooler get very loud, like GTA2 used to. Plus now I just have a fully running linux with all its nice CL tools

Setelah seminggu di binggungkan dengan 2 laptop acer aspire 4720z dan hp compaq 6520s.akhirnya beres juga.karena setiap windows mau copy muncul HDD not detect,di kira harddisknya rusak karena laptop keluaran sekarang harddisknya banyak yang menggunkaan sata..jadi yang tidak tahu mungkin menyangka hardisk laptop nya rusak..cara yang paling mudah dilakukan. Yaitu dengan mengubah option bios pada menu HDD mode. Ubah option-nya menjadi SATA AHCI mode ke IDE mode hanya untuk laptop yang mempunyai future menu tersebut. Untuk Laptop Acer sekarang sudah menggunakan future untuk merubah SATA AHCI mode ke IDE mode.
Setelah melakukan perubahan pada bios silahkan langsung instalkan Windows Xp.

Nahh…untuk laptop yang tidak mempunyai future tersebut bisa menggunakan software nLite atau bisa mengunakan Flopy disk eksternal,saya akan tulis cara lain menggunakan software tambahan nLite:

Setelah menginstal nLite serta netFrame work, hal yang akan kita lakukan berikutnya adalah mengintegrasikan driver SATA dengan cd instalasi widows Xp.

Start nLite pada sebuah computer lain yang telah di install windows:

Start>allPrograms>nLite

Setelah muncul tampilan seperti dibawah ini klik , pilih bahasas yang akan digunakan, lalu klik (next)

L   lalu akan muncul tampilan seperti ini. Disini kita ditanyakan dimanakah tempat atau lokasi dari CD instalasi windows.

Klik browse untuk mencarinya, lalu pilih lokasi cd instalasi windows, lalu klik ok

Setelah kita mencari lokasi dari cd instalasi windows, pada jendela berikutnya kita akan ditanyakan dimanakah kita akan menempatkan file-file instalasi windows yang akan kita edit. Tempat ini hanya akan menjadi tempat penyimpanan sementara selama proses editing ini, dan sebelum di buat ISO-nya. Setelah semua proses ini berakhir maka lokasi ini dapat di hapus.

Setelah jendela diatas diklik ok, maka akan muncul jendela seperti dibawah ini. Lalu pilih dimana lokasi kita akan meletakkan file instalasi tersebut lalu klik ok

setelah itu nLite akan meng-copy file instalasi windows dari CD ke folder yang tadi telah kita pilih. Silakan tunggu dan setelah selesai klik next.

Pada jendela ini(jendela Preset) kita ditanyakan apakah kita mau menggunakan settingan nLite yang sebelumnya kita gunakan ataukah tidak. Jika kita mau menggunakan settingan sebelumnya maka klik import dan browse presetnya. Setelah itu klik next

pada jendela di bawah ini(task Selection) kita akan memilih apa saja yang akan kita edit.

Klik task yang ingin kita edit, sampai berwarna hijau. Pada tutorial dibawah ini kita akan mengedit semua task. Lalu klik next,

pada jendela service pack, kita dapat menggunakannya untuk mengintegrasikan service pack ke dalam cd instalasi windows xp yang akan kita buat. Klik select untuk mencari service pack yang akan kita integrasikan. Lalu klik Next.

pada jendela hotfixes, addons and update packs. Kita dapat menyisipkan update-update kedalamCD xp yang akan kita buat. Klik insert untuk menvari update yang akan kita sisipkan. Lalu klik next

pada jendela driver kita dapat langsung menyisipkan driver-driver yang akan kita butuhkan pada komputer kita, sehingga kita tidak perlu mengistallnya lagi di windows. Klik insert untuk menyisipkan driver.

Untuk dapat membuat cd instalasi XP kita agar dapat membaca hardisk SATA, maka kita perlu menyisipkan driver SATA.

Klik insert>Multiple driver folder. Lalu browse dimana kita tadi mendownload driver SATA-nya

Setelah muncul jendela dibawah ini, lalu klik OK.

Setelah di klik ok akan tampil kotak dialog seperti dibawah ini, pilih driver SATA ACHI 9 seperti yang terlihat pada kotak dialog dibawah ini

Setelah diklik ok akan tampil kotak dialog dibawah ini kemudian klik next

Langsung saja di klik ok, kecuali anda ingin membuat setting-an lain

Udah klik next lagi

Masukkan SN nya dan tambah/edit sesuai kebutuhan anda setelah selesai klik next untuk melanjutkan proses selanjutnya

Bootable ISO Window

16. Click “Next” to Bootable ISO window. Click “Make ISO” button to generate a new ISO file.

nLite bootable ISO window. Contains options for creating an ISO/burning a disc. options include Mode combo box, label edit field, ISO Engine combo box, Boot sectore combo box. There is an Empty progress bar and Make ISO button. Information text reads “If you want to include additional files on your CD/DVD, copy them to the working directory before starting, or just click next if you want to make the ISO later”.

17. Use Nero or some other tool to burn ISO file, and then you are ready to install Windows XP for Eee.

Please note this tutorial works on all computers not just the Asus EEE PC.
To complete this tutorial you need a 32bit version of Windows XP or Windows Vista installed on your home PC.

What you’ll need:
USB_PREP8 (alternative download)
PeToUSB (alternative download)
Bootsect.exe (alternative download)

Special Note: If you use the program Nlite be sure to keep the manual installation files as the USB_prep8 script relies on these files. (In the Components window (nLite app), Operating System Options: Do not check Manual Install and Upgrade)
Extract the files in Bootsect.zip
The next step is to extract USB_prep8 and PeToUSB.
Next copy the PeToUSB executable into the USB_prep8 folder.
Inside of the USB_prep8 folder double click the executable named usb_prep8.cmd.

The window that opens will look like this:

You next window will look like this:
These settings are preconfigured for you all you need to do now is click start.
Once the format is complete DO NOT close the window just leave everything as it is and open a command prompt from your start menu (type cmd in the search bar or run box depending on your version of windows.).

Inside of the command windows go to the directory you have bootsect.exe saved.
(use the cd directoryname command to switch folders)

Now type “bootsect.exe /nt52 R:” NOTE R: is the drive letter for my USB stick if yours is different you need to change it accordingly. What this part does is write the correct boot sector to your USB stick, this allows your PC to boot from the USB stick without it nothing works.
Please note: When running the bootsect.exe command you cannot have any windows open displaying the content of your USB stick, if you have a window open bootsect.exe will be unable to lock the drive and write the bootsector correctly.

If all went well you should see “Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes.”

Now you can close this command prompt (don’t close the usbprep8 one by mistake) and the petousb window.

You window you see now should look like this:

If it doesn’t try pressing enter.

Now you need to enter the correct information for numbers 1-3.
Press 1 and then enter. A folder browse window will open for you to browse to the location of you XP setup files (aka your cdrom drive with xp cd in)
Press 2 and enter a letter not currently assigned to a drive on your PC
Press 3 and enter the drive letter of your USB stick
Press 4 to start the process.

The script will ask you if its ok to format drive T:. This is just a temp drive the program creates to cache the windows installation files. Press Y then enter.

Once it’s done formating press enter to continue again, you can now see the program copying files to the temp drive it created. Once this is done press enter to continue again.

Next you will see a box pop up asking you to copy the files to USB drive yes/no you want to click yes.

Once the script has completed copy files a popup window asking if you would like to USB drive to be preferred boot drive U: select YES on this window.

Now select yes to unmount the virtual drive.

Ok we are done the hard part, close the usbprep8 window.

Now make sure your EEE pc is configured with USB as the primary boot device.
Insert your USB drive and boot up the EEE.

On the startup menu you have two options, select option number 2 for text mode setup.

From this point on it is just like any other windows XP installation delete/recreate the primary partition on your EEE pc and format it using NTFS. Make sure you delete ALL partitions and recreate a single partition or you will get the hal.dll error message.

Once the text mode portion of setup is complete it will boot into the GUI mode (you can press enter after the reboot if your too excited to wait the 30 seconds)

Once the GUI portion of setup is complete you will again have to boot into GUI mode this will complete the XP installation and you will end up at you XP desktop. It is very important that you DO NOT REMOVE THE USB STICK before this point. Once you can see your start menu it is safe to remove the usb stick and reboot your pc to make sure everything worked.

This method has advantages over all current no cdrom methods of installing XP to the EEE. You do not have to copy setup files in DOS to the SSD and install from there. It gives you access to the recovery console by booting into text mode setup, and it gives you the ability to run repair installations of XP if you have problems later on.

En este post os enseñaremos como podeis haceros con un cd de windows XP, donde este todo aquello que necesitais una vez que intalamos nuestro SO tras el jodido formateo que a veces supone el bueno pero mejorable SO winXP, en el cd que os comento meteremos todos vuestros driver, añadiremos programas que useis y eliminaremos aquellos que por defecto instala windows y nosotros no queremos tener. Por si fuera poco a nuestro cd le daremos una nueva habilidad, será aun más inteligete que el CD original ya que el nuestro se instalara desatendidamente, sin pedirnos ayuda. Por que nuestro CD sabe lo que queremos

Primeramente nos hacemos con la herramienta encargada de modificar nuestro winXP (descargala aquí). Instalamos y ejecutamos:

Elegimos nuestro idioma y siguiente:

Elegimos la ruta donde estan alojados los archivos de nuestro sistema operativo, tambien nos preguntará en que carpeta queremos que se realize la instalación para despues poder cargarla y crear nuestra copia de XP desatendida y personalizada…

Esta es una parte muy importante, porque es donde debemos escoger cuales son las opciones que vamos a modificar de nuestra copia de XP. Por ejemplo “integrar controladores”, “instalación desatendida”, ” crear una ISO autoarrancable”, “ajustes de nuestro sistema por defecto” y muchas otras cosas mas, como instalar programas que queremos que se encuentren en nuestra instalación por defecto, se puede modificar absolutmente casi todo en nuestro XP personalizado…

Como podreis ver en la instalación que estoy haciendo yo he integrado todos los controladores que tengo en mi equipo desde la grafica hasta el audio y todo lo que tengo… ” En este equipo no tenemos driver sata de la placa, en el caso de que lo tuviesemos tendriamos que ponerlo para que la instalación no diese ningun tipo de problema…

En la opción de eliminar componentes nos pregunta que funcionalidad vamos a necesitar, ya que muchas de ellas necesitan recursos de otras aplicaciones y podriamos eliminar alguna necesaria, le indicaremos que es lo que queremos que no se suprima…

Aquí seleccionamos todos los componentes que queremos eliminar de nuestra instalación de XP, tenemos gran variedad…

Esta es una de las opciones mas importantes del proceso, navegad por todas las pestañas y escoger bien lo que haceis…

Aquí lo único que yo he cambiado es el fondo de pantalla de la instalación…

La penúltima opción tambien tiene muchas opciones de configuración, elegirlas bien y si no sabeis lo que haceis no toqueis nada…

En esta opción no creo que haga falta que os diga lo que teneis que hacer, así que hacerlo y punto… Aseguraros bien de tener los controladores en la ubicación que le digisteis a ” nlite” que los teniais de lo contrario no podrá integrarlos…

Ahora ya podemos crear nuestra imagen iso en el directorio o carpeta que indiquemos, para grabarla y tener nuestro XP ajustado a nuestro uso.

È da qualche giorno che sto provando nLite, il programma che permette di creare le installazioni personalizzate di Windows XP. Ho apprezzato le capacità del programma di integrare altri programmi nel CD, ma per qualche oscuro motivo, i Powertoys si rifiutano di installarsi. Così dopo qualche smanettamento sono riuscito a venire a capo e ho trovato il modo di integrare queste piccole utilities.

Per evitare complicazioni da parte vostra, ho già impacchettato singolarmente i Powertoys in formato .cab, così non dovrete fare nulla oltre il consueto per integrarli.

I’ve recently tried very hard to install Windows XP on my Media Center/File Server, which little/no success until today. This was mostly due to the following factors;

• My server has a RAID controller (SI3114) that Windows doesn’t recognize from stock
• My server has no floppy drive, and I have no intention to install one at this day and age
• My server is located at the second floor of my home, my main computer is at the bottom floor at the opposite end of the house. ^^
• I was dead set on not burning any ISOs to any CDs since that would involve me going out of my comfortable home and buying said CDs.

Well, points 1 and 2 were easily solved by slip-streaming the driver into the Windows installation with the help of nLite, which at the same time allowed me to preset some things and install ServicePack 3 automagically as well during the installation.

Then the ISO-stuff remained, so I decided that it can’t be that hard to boot the installer from a 2GB USB-stick instead. Turns out it is, at least finding out how to do it. This is mostly due to the fact that any info on the Internet on the topic is extremely unstructured and there are many different methods to do it with. My method is as a compilation of two methods, and I personally think it’s the simplest.

1. Download nLite, instert Windows XP CD and point nLite to it.
2. Build your custom ISO
3. Mount the ISO with Daemon Tools
4. Download the other programs needed; USB_PREP8, PEtoUSB and Bootsect
5. Move the PEtoUSB exe to the USB_PREP8 folder
6. Run USB_PREP8.cmd
7. Press Enter to start the process, which will load PEtoUSB
8. Format your USB-drive with PEtoUSB, with “Enable Format” and “Enable LBA” checked and the right USB drive selected. Leave the “Format Compleate” window open!
9. Start another command line prompt and navigate to the folder which holds Bootsect.exe
10. Run “Bootsect.exe /nt52 X:” were X: is the drive letter for your particular USB drive
11. Now close the extra terminal window, and click “OK” and close PEtoUSB
12. Now you need to run 1 in the USB_PREP8 terminal, which will let you point the program to the virtual drive containing the mounted nLite image
13. Now run 2 in the same terminal, and select an drive letter that’s not in use on your computer, usually T: is fine.
14. Now run 3 in the same terminal, and select the drive letter for your USB drive.
15. Start the copying process by selecting 4 in the same terminal.
16. The terminal is going to ask you if it’s okay to format the virtual drive T:. Go ahead as this is just a temporary drive used to hold your installation before it’s transferred to the USB stick
17. When it’s done formatting press “ENTER” to continue. The program will start to copy the installation files to the temporary drive. When it’s done press “ENTER” again.
18. A pop-up box will ask you if it’s okay to start copying the files to the USB stick. Answer “YES”. This process takes a little while.
19. After the copy-process is done the program will ask you if you want to make the USB drive “prefered boot drive U:” Answer “YES” as this is important, otherwise it will mount the drive as C:\ when you boot into the installer, which will make your real hard disc D:\, which is where XP will be installed.
20. Now the installer will ask you if it’s okay to unmount the temporary drive T:. Answer “YES” and you’re done!

Some parts of the unattended nLite installer doesn’t really work that well with this method (like automaticly adding the serial key for XP and such), since this method reqiers the “Unattended” part of “TXTSETUP.SIF” to be commented out, but all the important stuff (like automatically loading SCSI and RAID drivers) seems to work fine. It’s also possible that Unattended doesn’t work due to the fact that I’m not running it completely unattended, I’m not an nLite expert.

Mais um excelente programa freeware que trago para vocês. O nLite é um programa que permite a criação de seu Sistema Operacional personalizado. Com ele, você pode remover drivers, serviços, programas, definir configurações, aparência, ou seja, deixar o S.O com a sua cara. Acabei de criar meu CD de instalação do Windows XP com SP3 incluído e aqui vai um “mais-valia”, Tamanho: 295 MB em uma ISO. Você consegue retirar tudo  o que não utiliza e poupar muito espaço na criação do CD, possibilitando colocar mais programas. Você também pode incluir atualizações do Windows, Service Packs, dentre outros.
Enfim, é um programa muito completo e totalmente gratuito.
Nota: Compatível com Windows 2000, XP e 2003.
Para o Windows Vista e/ou superior, baixar o vLite.

OBS: Para instalar o programa, é necessário ter o .NetFramework 2.0 ou superior.

This step will bring you create CD Windows XP Instalation boot  for notebook that using SATA AHCI.

I have try this for Lenovo G430(Intel 45 GM chipset), probably work with other notebook like Compaq.

Software you need are :
1 .NetFramework you can download  here
2. NLITE here
3. SATA ICH9  Driver here

.> Put Your CD Windows in CD ROM drive For Example G:>

.>Make an Empty Folder . For Example E:>Windows XP Temp

.>Extract ICH9 driver that you downloaded from intel website.

1. Run Nlite -> click next

2. Choose Your Windows Xp Installer . In my case in Drive G:

3. Choose your Folder to locate your Windows XP copy. In my case is E:>Windows XP Temp

4.Click Next

5. Choose Driver and Bootable ISO (to make your instalation cd bootable). Click Next

6.Click Insert ->choose single driver->Open folder driver AHCI -> choose iaAHCI.inf file.

7. Choose ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller.

8. Click Yes To process.

9. Click Next

10. Click Direct Burn. Insert blank CD.Click Burn

After CD windows XP installer created. You can run Windows Installer Without pressing F6 to get Driver SATA AHCI.

The Driver depends on your notebook chipset.
