Siccome sono un gran smanettone , ho già installato due programmi che molti di voi conosceranno, cioè rotateme, che permette di ruotare lo schermo in automatico a seconda di come orientate lo schermo e nokmote, con il quale utilizzerete le applicazioni muovendo il  telefono.

Essendo quasi un principiante in queste cose ci ho messo un bel po’ per installare questi 2 programmi, soprattutto per la storia dei certificati…

Allora ho voluto creare una guida che spieghi dall’inizio alla fine come installare questi 2 fantastici programmi, dato che forse molti altri, come me, hanno avuto difficoltà.

Spiegherò la procedura solo per rotateme, dato che per nokmote si procede allo stesso modo.

Andate sul sito di Samir, colui che ha creato questi due programmi, e fate una donazione per ottenere l’ultima versione del programma, dato che quella scaricabile non è possibile certificarla.

Una volta ricevuto il file, dovrete certificarlo, andando su questo sito.

Dovrete inserire il codice IMEI (per ottenerlo digitate *#06#), il vostro indirizzo e mail e il file che avete scaricato.

Vi verrà mandata un’e mail con il file certificato, che dovrete scaricare e installare sul vostro nokia.

Per nokmote dovete procedere allo stesso modo, facendo una donazione a Samir e certificando il programma.

This post is for all those who (i presume) must have bot an n-series phone (or alike) and want to check out the cool applications out in the market like nokmote n rock n scroll blah blah…..These applications need you to sign ‘em.But Symbian signed just provides ‘open signing’ or some stupid stuff like that.Dear friend, you dont have to work soo hard to get your apps signed.

Symbian-sign your apps with ease. The folks at Symbian Signed dot com is totally tired signing applications for non-developers n people w/o publisher id n the like and it seems that they have quit (Ah,now u can call that customer satisfaction, maybe?). ‘We’ desperately need to get our apps signed.Down below you can find the 10 simple steps to sign your apps without visiting symbian signed n all.(eww!!)

Less talk.Here’s the procedure to sign your apps.This topic has been absorbed from various sites,blogs n all ,n since it worked perfectly for me, i tot i’d help u guys too.But this process takes a day.Ya’ll need to be patient.But one-day’s wait….and symbian-signing is yours for the keep’n.hehe.

2 : Click on the marked link ( the one thats green ) :

3 : This like directs u to a registration page.U feed in your desired username,password, retype your password, and then provide your (valid) e-mail-id in the boxes as shown below.The text in orange has been written to help u guys out.

Call yourself lucky if you get a screen like the following upon clicking the green button in the registration page.N if you dont get it call urself unlucky!!..(just for the moment actually…try again..u’ll get lucky sumtime!..God bless !)

4 : Next, you’ll either be redirected automatically to the IMEI page or you’ll have to login to do that.Login page looks like the following.Login with the e-mail address and password you provided during registration.Skip this step if your already at the IMEI page.

5. If the login was successfull, u’ll be directed to the IMEI page.IMEI page looks like the pic shown below.Provide the IMEI of your phone in the text box and click on the green button.To retrieve your IMEI Number press *#06#.You get a 15 dig number.Feed that number in the text box.

6.After you provide your IMEI the following message box pops up.As i said..this is the place where ya’ll have to hold your horses and cows…they say u need to wait on an average ‘one day’ ,but it works in much lesser time.I waited about 5 hours to get mine done.Just register it at night and open it up the next day.simple!

7.After you’ve waited long enuf, login with your u-name and pass.You have to login to check the status…you will not receive any emails.If u get the following message box, your done.

8.Clickin OK brings us to the page that we’ve been waiting for soooo long.Here, click on the grey button “Browse” on the right of the text box.Choose the file that you want to sign (in ur hard disk), and then click on the blue button below.(Text in red = mine )

9.Clicking the blue button brings up this :

Your signed file is provided as a downloadable link in a *.sis format.It consists of many numbers actually.Click on the link and download the file.Install the file in your phone.Are we done? yes.

10.Thats it.Ten steps to symbian signin’.Clicking on the blue button on the above screen takes you to the previous page wherein you can browse and select other unsigned files.Now if the above doesn’t work as said, just try refreshing a couple o times.It should work.

EDIT: It seems this version doesn’t play nicely with some phones. What I did to resolve the issue of the application not starting was to uninstall all of Samir and Tong Ren’s applications and then reinstall Rock ‘N’ Scroll after a fresh reboot. Should work for you too, if not, drop a comment.

As spectators look on, two warriors prepare for the battle that awaits them. A battle of titanic proportions. A battle that will decide…the fate of the world! Keynetik’s Rock ‘N’ Scroll challenges Samir’s Nokmote!

I accept that maybe I got a little excited while writing up the opening paragraph of this entry but when something like this happens I just can’t resist!

Word on the street is that Keynetik will be setting their application free on the 29th of February, meaning that everybody will be able to download an unsigned copy of Rock ‘N’ Scroll from their forum.

Rock ‘N’ Scroll is an application that functions in a similar manner to Nokmote. The user can navigate through their accelarator equipped S60 phone with just the flick of their wrist. However, as users of the first beta of Nokmote may tell you, there is still a lot of work to be done: the bad menu navigation, Being forced to hold the phone flat and of course unwanted actions from external movements (in a car for example). This is where Rock ‘N’ Scroll comes in, watch the video and you’ll see what I mean.

Samir isn’t one to relax while others steal his thunder….FlipSilent–>ShutUp, Landscape Pro–>RotateMe and Shakelock–>ShakeMe. He says that Nokmote beta 2 will be out around the last week of February…Sound familiar? Hints from Andrew Galpin (A moderator on Samir’s forums) suggest that it may even be out before Samir’s own estimation. If we take a quick look at Samir’s to-do list for Nokmote, there are only 2 things that need to be done:

“Todo list:
- Setting to calibrate Nokmote, in order to use it in any postion, not only horizontally
- Add a setting to choose a hotkey (to allow N82’s users to activate nokmote)”

However, hints from Andrew once again suggest that there’s more to come than just what Samir says….Hmmm

Who will be the victor? Will Samir sizzle his opposition or maybe Keynetik will kick ass? Stay tuned to find out!

This is the best application i have ever seen on a mobile phone and you will agree with me once u finish reading here:
1:This application puts the in built motion sensing capability of your N95 to full use.
2:You can navigate through the menu by just tilting your phone and select an icon by just moving your phone down-up.
3:This is the best part of it — you can play all your games with out using the keypad . Like for example in a car race game your phone itself becomes the steering wheel and in the music player u can play/pause,stop,fast forward,next song,previous song etc by just tilting the phone,its that simple.
4:Nokmote is a freeware but only the alpha version is out which is available only to people who have donated to Samir.But dont worry since a free unsigned version will be available to all by the end of January.But i recommend that u donate and become a tester bcoz its such a good application.
5:Two videos are present in his web page , just go there and watch those videos in those one is about the apps working and the other is about playing games.After u watch those videos just donate and get your copy.And remember not to share it with others.
6:Full credits to the great Samir of his good work.

O Nokmote é um software que usa os sensores de gravidade do N95 para controlar as funções do aparelho sem que se necessite tocar nas teclas. É extremamente interessante os progressos nesta área.
