More than a century ago, English engineers built a barrage near Ghaziabad for storing the river water, which was diverted to the R. Yamuna, to improve the latter’condition, by a link canal. That time it was indeed a brave attempt.

Today, if one visits the first river linking canal, one is bound to feel the limitations of human calculations.

First, its dirty condition. All the urban waste, down the canal, is discharged into the canal. One cannot go near it, without covering the nose by a thick kerchief. It is a breeding ground for mosqutos.

Secondly, a number of bridges had to be built, when new housing colonies and roads came up, something unimaginable in 1908, when east Delhi was a waste land.

Lastly, the rulers just forgot the existence of this canal.

If the Ganga – Kaveri link canal is built, it will be a national latrine!

overture on the nose

the nose is the

middle member

of the Face Quartet

or Sestet, if you like;

a trumpet perhaps

or a bass horn

1

Have you ever considered,

says my nose

while in the shower,

how crucial I am

in your life?

I do not answer

and ignore my nose

and let some shampoo

trickle down over it

And yet you ignore

me and you write poems

of the tongue

that has got you into trouble

too often

I continue to ignore

my nose

who is now beginning

to sound like a spouse

jealous of a rival lover

and my nose flares its wings

looking as wild as the nose of a mad bull:

Why don’t you write

a poem about me

and let the world

know my role

in your body and life?

and then it calms down

and sounds most seductive:

For who will blow your trumpet

if you will not blow your own?

and I even, it continues,

like Atlas holds up the world,

I hold up the frame and glasses

so that your eyes can see better

I continue to ignore

my nose

and its attempts to guilt me into gratitude

and into a poetic mood;

and I finish my shower

and give it a good hard rub

with the towel

and I can hear it grunt:

Ouch! That hurts!

I’ll get you back one day

when I’m in a runny mood!

2

but I’ll tell you, my gentle friend,

though I’ve never met you

except at these websites

I’ll confide in you

what I may not tell my nose

all my life

though endowed -

as you looking at

my outdated website picture

will most surely agree -

though endowed

all my life I’ve been with

a most alluring visage

it’s been marred

by – by -

need I say it, dearest friend–

need I say it? -

by my horrendous, outrageous nose!

my nose looks like a bell in the middle

and makes as much loud noise;

its sides flare out like wings

and oh, it looks like it’d take off any time;

some days it collapses

and most days it is broad and wide

and quite blatantly dominates the face;

tell me then, how could one love

such a nose?

and with such a protuberance

how could one ever walk in public

with one’s nose in the air?

ah, my nose breaks my spirit

and I walk, like some jilted lover,

with eyes to the ground

ashamed of my nose

3

Oh, the first girl I had ever

fallen in love with

who was eighteen and I was ten

when I confessed my eternal love

for her;

and she looked at me

pointed at my nose

and she laughed

like a witch

and she cackled:

Look at your nose!

It is broad and flares

like a bull’s

and it’s brown

and you’ve got a pimple on either side

like you’ve got nose rings!

and it’s so big on your face

one could say:

your nose is your face

and your face is the nose!

Ah, how could I be angry with that angel?

- for she only spoke the truth

and she only said what I had always suspected;

and since then

I have lived with the infamy

and shame and agony and tension

as Cyrano de Bergerac must have felt

belittled by his large nose

and ridiculed and shamed;

and I for a broad nose

and so all through life

this nose of mine has brought me

shame and loss of opportunity;

Bollywood Directors

have rejected me for an unsightly nose:

Oh, every part of you perfect;

but your nose too broad

and when heroine dances

audience will only look at your nose!

and the Hollywood Directors

took one good look at my countenance

and they said:

Don’t call us; we’ll call you…

Meanwhile, go blow your nose!

4

Oh, how then can one sing of such a nose,

dearest friends?

I mean,

I’m not endowed with such

an elegant or aquiline

or most sculpted nose as you are,

am I?

I mean, many have Greek noses

or Alexandrian or a noble hawk nose

or exotic Nubian

or spiritual Indian

but I, I – poor me, pity me -

I must keep company with those with a snout or snub…

I mean

it’s as if my nose was an afterthought

when Nature sneezed and so closed her eyes

as she pinched the clay on my face

to form a nose

and so ruined the work;

whereas you, Oh you most elegant friend

at this website,

whereas your nose

is the very first act in God’s

creation of the world…

and that is why

I do not sing of my undeserving nose

though a necessary nose;

but I’m sure as I key in this

verse of complaint and lament

my broad cunning nose

though unable to see the text

must surely smell,

being quite a nosey-parker,

what I do

and suspect

something fishy being published in cyberspace….

conclusion on the nose

the nose is sexy

in one’s youth;

but is as a dried tree stump

as the years go by

This universe was not made for you.
You are unallocated in list of
Participators and only consume… and we’ve entirely forgotten about you.
You do nothing.
You deserve an even smaller potion of happiness than the
Everything you neglect,
A unit so close to zero, it can only be limited to
The lowest number you can squeeze out of
your tube.

Most of the doors are shut at your approach, and we’re
Glad to see your nose close, but far
From the other side of plexi.

If they destroy you, and when they will –
Nothing will happen; you’ve allowed the science
And majesty of prediction to take the place of
Sweet, unreasoned faith.

Die, fruitless laborer. Crumble into your dry skin and
Rot.
Snap your femur with the flat plate of head-bone
Before you go,
And limp… limp into the dark underworld you hardly deserve,
But where else can they put you?

First off, I am not writing this as an environmentalist, tree hugger kind of person. I do like the environment and think there is so much beauty out there that we don’t appreciate.

The air I speak is in public restrooms. Yes I really am writing about the issue of noxious fumes that many of us just can’t stand when you walk into a public facility.

What I would like to see is a mandatory automatic air freshener required to be in all public facilities and port-a-johns. Seriously. Who hasn’t walked into the work loo only to be knocked on your heiny from the previous person’s use?

Maybe Finch from the American Pie movies had it right to not use public facilities. I don’t know. But I am tired of walking into someplace where it smells like the kids were dropped off at the sewer not the pool.

Please, please, if there are any EPA or health inspectors reading this get some new regulations in place and soon. I and my nose thanks you.

In October 2007, I saw an ENT for tinnitus. He scheduled me for a polypectomy and then performed three aggressive nasal and sinus surgeries and an undocumented nose job. The nose job has been confirmed by several plastic surgeons. He left my breathing and my face a shambles. For a year, I lived with the fear that I had atrophic rhinitis, a rotting condition of the sinuses caused, in the modern world, by aggressive sinus surgery: Atrophic Rhinitis Paper. A person with atrophic rhinitis eventually develops a stench in her nose so overpowering that she can be smelled blocks away.

The surgeon who did the damage documented on three post-operative visits that I did have atrophic rhinitis. The next ENT wasn’t sure. Eventually, the AR question settled into a collective opinion that I have some type of rhinitis which remains undefined.

For the first eight months, my breathing was so compromised and my nasal dryness so torturous that I could not imagine a future. My goal was to achieve a level of breathing and nasal balance that I could learn to endure. The specter of becoming a creature emanating a nauseating stench loomed. I held the image at bay. One thing at a time.

In spite of intense pain and fear, I desperately wanted cosmetic repair. I came close to having a revision rhinoplasty less than one year after the surgeries. It fell through. Again, last summer, I saw an ENT plastic surgeon. “It’s too soon,” he said. “You’re still healing. If you have surgery, healing will stop.”

“Still healing?” I said. “It’s been almost two years.”

“Your surgeries were very aggressive,” he said. “Normally, we say to wait one year. For you, three years.”

No way, I thought, am I going to live with this hideous nose for another year. I found another plastic surgeon who agreed to do the surgery. At the eleventh hour, the surgery fell through due to a low thyroid level. By the time the problem resolved, I had changed my mind. The surgeon and I had not agreed on aesthetics.

I believe the low thyroid level was a divine intervention. The surgery planned for me was too aggressive and not what I wanted, but more than that—I am still healing.

In increments so tiny as to be almost indiscernible, my nasal health steadily improves. Some of the improvement is due to the Premarin I have put in my nose. Some of it is due to use of the natural remedies listed in the pages under Healing. And some is due to the factors that constitute Breath.

In the dark days following the surgery, I grasped that my anatomy had been altered. Bone and cartilage, blood vessels, glands, nerves and mucosa, had been cut out of my nose. The most overwhelming feeling was of something missing. Not no nose as a fellow ENS sufferer has described it. For me, it was a feeling of partial amputation, like the removal of one and half lungs. Lying in my darkened bedroom, I envisioned God breathing life into the first human. This was how the nose was formed, I thought–out of dust. The nose was formed out of the act of breathing. The same way a muscle is formed out of an act of doing.

I stumbled through the snow, in those days, pressing my lips together and sucking air in through my partial nose. I sucked with all my might, in the effort to inflate my partial lungs. That is the way I experienced my lungs, too, and still do, though not as keenly. The loss of lung sensation is due to the nose-lung reflex discussed on The Empty Nose Syndrome Association website: Respiration Article.

Sitting in bed, I practiced the deep breathing exercises from Richard Hittleman’s Yoga: 28 Day Exercise Plan. I hung my head over the edge of the bed in an effort to draw blood into my nasal area. I sat with orange slices, inhaling their scent. I envisioned wee sprigs of mangled glands springing back to life, beating their chest, flexing their might.

When I was too tired to do anything else, I meditated on the act of creation. For me, the image was one of God blowing air into my nose, forming, once more, the organ of breath. But you don’t have to share my archetypes in order to meditate upon the healing of a body part. There are many excellent resources on the subject of meditation and visualization. Here is one: Guided Imagery.

You may never be the way you were before. But I am here to tell you, you can get better.

The H1N1 Swine Flu virus knows no borders, has no boundaries, and has absolutely no respect for religious or cultural traditions.

This year at the annual Hajj to Mecca, Four foreign pilgrims have died of swine flu, the Saudi Health Ministry announced on Saturday.

The Saudi Arabia Health Ministry said none of the four foreign victims had been vaccinated against the H1N1 virus, as has been recommended by The Health Ministry.

An official statement released by the ministry said all had underlying health problems, including cancer and respiratory illness, AFP news agency reported.

Three of the victims died in Medina and one in Mecca.

http://www.arabnews.com/?page=1&section=0&article=128688&d=22&m=11&y=200Over

The BBC is reporting that….up to three million Muslims from around the world take part in the holy pilgrimage every year, but health officials have expressed fears that it could provide a breeding ground for the virus.

Authorities had tried to prepare for any outbreaks by installing thermal cameras at airports and sea terminals, deploying 15,000 additional health workers and ensuring hundreds of extra beds were available.

The Hajj (Arabic: حج‎ Ḥaǧǧ) is a pilgrimage to Mecca. It is currently the largest annual pilgrimage in the world,[1] and is the fifth pillar of Islam, a moral obligation that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so. The Hajj is a demonstration of the solidarity of the Muslim people, and their submission to Allah (God).[2] The pilgrimage occurs from the 7th to 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hajj)

The Health Minister has reported that there are 16 other people that have been diagnosed with swine flu and four remain in hospital in “critical condition”.

He added 12 others had recovered following treatment.

The Saudi government has recommended the elderly, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases and children skip the Hajj this year.

The Saudi government has said all pilgrims need a certificate of vaccination before they can apply for a visa.

This is real people, and this disease is spreading worldwide,at a rapid pace.

I encourage everyone to get a H1N1 swine flu shot as soon as you can.The reports of any side effects are exaggerated, and will cause millions of people to perish from the lack of the vaccine.

Any paranoia surrounding any alledged complications from the shot are totally unsubstantiated, and if those people out there insist on not receiving the vaccine, then we as a society should only expect more mounting mass casualties from the swine flu, as exhibited this weekend, unfortunately in Mecca.

If it can happen in Mecca, it can happen anywhere.

Please everyone, wash your hands, and go get the shot.

Abstract
Purpose: Sinonasal adenocarcinoma is a rare cancer, frequently associated with occupational exposure to inhalable wood dust. Among the EU member States, Germany was reported to have the highest number of exposed workers. Location and long latency make early diagnosis difficult. This case–control study was aimed at assessing potential risk factors and at characterizing initial clinical symptoms, both serving as matrix to identify persons at increased risk and to improve management of this cancer.

Methods: Of 58 patients, 31 diagnosed with sinonasal adenocarcinoma (cases) between 1973 and 2007 were identified and underwent standardized interview on clinical data. A total of 85 patients diagnosed over the same period with carcinoma of the oral cavity served as controls.

Results: The ethmoid was confirmed as the predominant site of adenocarcinoma associated with wood dust exposure, whereas the nasal cavity was most commonly affected in patients denying any exposure to wood dust.

Cases were significantly engaged in mainly woodworking occupations compared to controls. The main initial clinical symptoms were nasal obstruction 6 months (71%) and epistaxis 4 years (41.9%) prior to diagnosis. Hardwood dust from beech and oak proved to be the most common occupational exposure, with a mean exposure period of 32.3 years and a latency of 43.5 (34–58) years.

Conclusions: Our investigation confirms the importance of regular screenings for persons exposed to wood dust even years after the end of occupational or private exposure. Banal clinical symptoms such as epistaxis and nasal obstruction might be predictive, requiring early and thorough investigation.

Are you a nose hugger? Did you wonder if you were the only strange person in the world that when feeling abit tired, finds comfort in your own warm hand cupped over your nose?
Do you often feel insigificant and underrepresented when compared to people who twiddle their hair or suck their thumbs?

Never fear my fellow nose-hugging friend, you have just stumbled across at least one other person.

The phenomenon of nose hugging, also known as ‘holding one’s nose’ is not the type of nose holding that occurs when something especially stinky finds it’s way into one’s nostrils. If you thought it was something which might follow a bop on the hooter, then you would also be wrong.
Whilst nose hugging can be a prelude to nose picking, it is not for this purpose that a person finds him or herself engaging in such olfactory activity.

To be precise, nose hugging is a comfort habit which involves the hugger’s need to cup ones’ hand loosely and gently over said nose in such a way as to allow breathing and the bringing about of comfort to the hugger.

The nose hugging instantly calms and almost always leads to sleep if continued unninterrupted for 20 minutes.

Sometimes the hugger briefly carries out nose hugging in public when tired. Often when reminded that they are actually hugging their nose in public, the hugger can become quite embarrassed and wonder how many people saw them hugging their nose.

The hugger might also hug their nose in extremely intimate situations. Even with a hot date, as soon as the hugger is feeling comfortable, he or she will proceed to hug their nose leading to questions and answers on why the heck they do this weird thing.

‘I don’t already hug my nose, would trying it be beneficial for me?’

There is no doubt that engaging in nose hugging definitely helps the hugger to relax if they have been used to doing it since they were a child. However, I am not sure if it is an activity which could be comfortably adopted by people later in life.
Firstly, you run the risk of not doing it properly and passing out, plus the people that know you well might think you’re just sniffing your hand which is abit, erm unsavoury.

Nose hugging is a specialised comfort activity reserved only for the chosen from childhood, so if you feel you are lacking in the comfort department then I suggest that you try another habit altogether.

An odd-looking tunneler, the star-nosed mole (condylura cristata) is a remarkable little semi-aquatic mammal from the wetlands of eastern North America. What makes this particular mole extra-special is an incredible hooter that is six times more sensitive to touch than the human hand.

Rarely growing longer than 20cm the star-nosed mole is covered in dark-coloured water-repellant fur, has a long thick tail and huge scaly feet with large strong claws. They live as many other moles do, digging shallow tunnels in search of worms , insects and—as they typically stay near water—crustaceans. This mole’s most distinctive feature however, is his fleshy, tentacle-ringed nose.

Covered in 25,000 tiny touch receptors known as Elmer’s organs, the nose of this odd-looking tunneler is capable of remarkable feats of olfactory excellence. Using nothing but the information gathered by their nasal stars (like most moles, the star-nosed is pretty much blind), our burrowing buddies can identify and devour food items in as little as 120 milliseconds. Even more incredibly, the mole can decide if an item is edible or not in just 8 milliseconds.

It is thought that this amazing feat taxes the mole’s neurons to their very limit. In short, it is not possible to identify food by smell any faster than a star-nosed mole can. They are currently listed in the Guiness Book of Records as the world’s fastest forager and can touch 13 separate areas of ground a second, locating and consuming eight prey items every two seconds.

The star-nosed mole can also smell edible morsels while underwater! A strong swimmer, the mole simply exhales a stream of air bubbles and then re-inhales the bubbles to carry scents back to its nose.

The very best time to practice yoga is first thing in the morning before breakfast. Upon waking, empty the bowels, shower if you wish, then commence the day with your regime of yoga practices. The second most conductive time is early evening, around sunset. But is it of course far better to do something at a time of the day which suits one, rather than to miss out by being too rigid or idealistic. Always remember integral yoga is a balanced recipe which maintains: That to get the best from your yoga practice, you should whenever possible, mix and match the necessary elements of practice which will improve and enhance your spiritual growth and awareness.

Yoga Positions (Asanas) may be practiced at any time of day except within 2-3 hours of having eaten. You can do postures when the body feels stiff, tense, tired or hyped-up. Be aware not to do too many over-stimulating postures just before bedtime. Asanas are best practiced first in your yoga routine, followed by breathing (Pranayama) and then meditation.

Awareness

Breathing

Always breathe through the nose both in and out, unless specified otherwise. Remember “Nose for breathing-Mouth for eating”.

If you do have trouble breathing through your nose, practice “Jala Neti” (Nasal Cleansing) or visit a doctor for medical inspection

Restrictions & Precautions

There are no age limits either young or old for the practice of yoga. However the application of the techniques will vary according to the abilities of the practitioner. Keep in mind the following.

Never practice any yoga techniques under the influence of alcohol or mind altering drugs.

Those with disabilities, severe, acute or chronic medical conditions should consult both with their medical practitioner and their yoga teacher to assess any dangers or difficulties which may arise.

There are no hard and fast dietary rules necessary to begin the practice of yoga. One does not have to give up smoking, become vegetarian, or be a purist to learn yoga.

This is the most beautiful time in Bangkok. For about 6 to 8 weeks we will have very pleasant temper

This is the most beautiful time in Bangkok. For about 6 to 8 weeks we will have very pleasant temperatures. Since I walk to the office, a luxury in Asia, this matters quite a bit. These days I can enjoy every step on my 20 minutes walk to work.

This walk is also a good training for the nose. Yes, you red right, the nose. You agree with me that the nose is a very important organ for any wine connoisseur. The first thing you do when tasting a wine is swirrling the wine. Your nose trys to catch the fragrances emitted by the liquid. Most of our noses need regular training. Well, let me come back to my walk to the office.

If I could only close my eyes when walking (too dangerous though) it would be even more striking. Taking the nose on a walk in Asia is quite an adventure, one might think. That’s true. However, my morning walk takes me along two busy Sois (Thai for street): Thonglor and Ekkamai and Soi 10 which connects the two.

The nose in action

This means that about 80% of the route is boring for my nose, just the fumes of the passing vehicles, some petrol notes maybe, mostly tar and lots of dust. In the evening I have started to wear a mask because it is just too tedious walking along the traffic jam. But that is very different in the mornings (I am an early bird). So the remaining 20% of the way are interesting; half of it pleasant, half of it not so pleasant.

First highlight is the Chinese chicken restaurant with two large pots on the gas stove full of chicken meat bubbling in the water with, I guess, “Sichuan spices”. Then I pass by walls and large gardens tucked behind them. During this time of the year not many plants are flowering but still my nose is on high alert sniffing for the scent of jasmin or other blossoms.

Just before I turn around the corner, I greet the “barbecue” man, roasting various types of meats, some on skewers, sausages, chicken wings and so on, on his mobile cart as breakfast for the passers-by. Here my nose catches notes of charcoal, burning fat and skin, the smell of freshly cooked meat.

Around the corner is the next highlight, the Chinese noodle shop, warm smells of steam engulf my olfactory organ, freshly hacked herbs add corriander fragrances. One lady sells fresh fruit and vegetables as well as freshly baked sweets for the casual wanderer. If my nose is lucky it can capture a fragrance of tropical notes and the aura of fresh bread.

But before I come to the the dim sum place, usually still closed when I pass by, though the trays under steam, I have to pass three locations where the garbage of night clubs and restaurants is kept on the pavement before it is collected in the morning. Here the nose finds aromas of decomposing organic matter which is a sweet-sour smell. This is sometimes a challenge.

The worst places are those where dogshit, many urbanites keep small dogs as pets, accumulates. The Thais being very tidy people sweep the walkways daily. As a consequence the danger to step into dogshit is not that big. However, the pungent and acrid smell of canine turds is another challenge for my nose. The odour is very strong even if the source of it has long disappeared from the scene.

The last stretch is lined with beauty salons (there are so many), which from time to time let a fargrance of lavender escape from the parlour. An executive “supercars” dealer, night clubs (zillions), bus stops and a computer laboratory complete the row of building I have to pass. Finally, comes the dim sum place but only on my way home will my nose be in the position to indulge in the aromas of the fine dumplings.

Nose training, I recommend it. From time to time close your eyes and trust your olfactory organ, and enjoy, as we say in Asia. Cheers folks. I am off to a drink, red wine, I suppose. Have a good weekend and a nice smell.

A four-month old infant girl is the latest casualty to succumb to the deadly H1N1 Swine flu virus that is spreading faster than a wildfire across the nation.

The flu pandemic is on the rise and has been allowed to kill at a rate that has gone unchecked, due to the lack of and the fear of taking the Swine flu vaccination. The vaccine has been doled out to a select few qualifying groups of minor children, health workers, and people who supervise and come in to contact with groups of children.

In this latest case, doctors suspect that, since infants under the age of 6 months can not take the current vaccine due to health risk, and the fact that her parents were not allowed to be vaccinated since they are not in a rationing qualifying group, they were all at risk to be infected by the virus.

It is being reported in the media that both of the deceased baby girls siblings had received the H1N1 vaccinations, as their parents value and respect the vaccination program.

The infant had no known underlying medical conditions, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, and none of the family members, vaccinated or not, tested positive for the virus, so it is still a mystery as to how the infant contracted the disease. They also report that the child had no underlying medical conditions, that has been known to make the virus even more deadly, and has been cited as the cause of dying from the disease.

I suspect that someone kissed the child, or hugged her, as people tend to do with babies, and that would be hard to track, and most Americans do not wash their hands after using the bathroom or sneezing in their hands, which only helps to spread the disease.

“If a child that age — up to 5 years old — gets a fever, shows symptoms, the parents should seek medical care as soon as possible because they can go down the tubes really fast,” County public health officer Wilma Wooten said.

Doctors at the Rady children’s Hospital in San Diego say that this case is unusual because the child exhibited no signs of the flu. She only had a little bit of a cough, but no fever or running nose for about four days.

On the fourth day the mom put the child down to sleep, and 45 minutes in to the babies nap, the mom discovered the child had stopped breathing.

She was rushed to Paradise Valley Hospital in south San Diego and was resuscitated, then flown to Rady’s children’s Hospital, where she died 24 hours later.

Dr. John Bradley of Rady’s Children Hospital stated that…We now know that H1N1 probably had something to do with setting up the baby for not breathing”…

To date, there have been 33 deaths of San Diego County residents linked to the H1N1 influenza and four deaths of non-residents, according to the HHSA. The number of people hospitalized with the virus locally stands at 617!!!

There is only enough vaccines to help 13% of the population, but each of the county’s where the infant died, six public health centers and one immunization clinic have each received between 20 and 60 additional doses of injectable H1N1 vaccine, according to the HHSA.

Those vaccines will be given to pregnant women which is a high risk group that is given priority due the rationing of the vaccinations due to a production shortage.

I am also afraid that the paranoia associated with the fear of the side effects of the vaccination will only help to spread the disease even quicker.I personally know some associates of mine that refuse to be inoculated due to their holistic beliefs, and some people reject it out of pure ignorance.

The problem with all of that is that Americans continue to have deplorable personal hygiene. I have witnessed some who think it is funny to sneeze and cough in the face of some unsuspecting citizen, in a ‘Jackass” inspired joke, and these are the same guys that do not bother to wash their hands after using the restroom.

I would rather risk the side effects of the H1N1 vaccine, than risk having to rely upon the general public to wash their hand,..or for that matter to wash their bodies at all. I know the latter is more of a risk, and I refuse to gamble with my health.

Those with underlying medical conditions experiencing influenza-like symptoms should contact their doctor immediately, according to the Health and Human Services Agency .

Typically decongestants, antibiotics, or antihistamines are given to treat the symptoms of sinus congestion but these may have unwanted side effects; such as insomnia, nervousness or high blood pressure.

Chiropractic works to relieve stress on the nerve system which controls your immune system, allowing it to function normally. This proper function opens the sinuses up allowing them to drain, handling the cause of the congestion and pressure.

THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION There are people resemling one another, at least seven according to sources.

THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION
There are people resemling one another, at least seven according to sources.
If some such people, of different ages, are arranged in a row, we will be tempted to believe that they are related to each other.
The casual similarity of the outline of east coast of America and the west coast of Africa, was enough to jump to the conclusion that, one broke away from the other, as if these are ice blocks!
There is the Kennedy rock hill, which looks like the profile of the ex President of the USA, when viewed from a particular point.
A scientific theory must be subjected to the same hair splitting analysis, as is customary in a criminal case. A single evidence against the prosecution theory will, if the evidence is admitted in the court, enable the culprit to get away with it.
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
If survival is the aim of evolution, plancktons, grass and cockroaches are better evolved than mammals, many species of wich have been totally wiped off from the earth. Man is extremely vulnerable.
If the resmblance in behavior is studied, asian elephants are much more similar to us, than the chimpanzee. It was in the news that a female elephant, of a circus company, was eloped by a wild elephant. Savitry, the circus elephant, returned after some months in the forest, carrying a baby in its woumb! Did they love each other as cildren, before Savitry was caught by men? Otherwise why did its lover pick her for mating?
My father used to tell us about an elephant which could write 51 letters of Malayalam in sand, using a stick.

Their memory, affection for their owner, or vengiance against mahouts, who always beat them, are well known. They do not have a season for mating. They have the monthly course. The medicines prescribed in ayurveda for elephants are the same as for us, only the doze has to be elephantine in proportion!
SOME ODDITIES
Evolution must have a certain pattern; otherwise, it will be a conjecture only. The elephant, again, is an odd animal. Normally, the hind leg is stronger in animals, including man. The elephant has very strong forelegs, looking like concrete colums, supporting the weight of the whole body. Its scrotum is hidden inside, the nose is very long and capable of executing delicate movements, it does not sweat etc.
The poor dog has to wait for considerable time, to withdraw its penis after mating, because it swells enormously, at the time of discarge, and has to come down to normal size, before it can be withdrawn, attracting the attention of children, who sometimes beat them, while still tied up.
There is a story about it.
The five Pandava brothers share the same woman. The man who goes into her chamber, leaves his chappals at the door, to show that madam is engaged, and the newcomer should wait. One day a dog took the chappals away. Another brother came and hurried in to mate, when he saw real action blue film !
So they cursed the wicket dog, resulting in this oddity.
The small donkey has very big penis. I do not know how the female accommodates it. The big camel has a small one.
I am not saying these things for fun. This shows lack of any pattern in creation.

Normally plants use nutrients from the soil. But the pitcher plat has a taste for non-veg food.
Vanila is a natve of Madagasker, where the insect fertilising it, by carrying the pollen grains, is available. In its absenc in Kearalam, the farmer is given instructions for doing it by artificial means. Even otherwise, plants depend on insects for propagation of the species, and the insects on plants for honey. Can the bee survive without plants? Creation is a very complicated thing. Let us leave it to Brahma.
WATER AND LAND
It is believed that life began in the sea, then came amphoebeans and, then land animals in the end. But mammals are found in the sea also.So they are not highly evoved?
The greatest weakness is the omission of sea animals of eerie shapes, some looking like rock, but opens a mouth invisible before. If Darwin had seen Discovery channel, he would have quietly withdrawn his theory.
I saw in the web an item of news that Taiwanese scientists came across the skeleton of homo sapien, at least a million years earlier than the date of arrival of our ancestor,Mary.
MAN IS DEVIL’S OWN CREATION
Why do we have long hair and beard?
Is there any explanation?
Like the tail, fir too vanished. But the hair is longer than shown for Mary, the prototype of homo sapien.
Man has many inexplicable charactoristics.

He has the uniqu ability to convey, by his facial expresson ,ideas as delicate as I LOVE YOU.
Anger, joy, contempt etc. can be seen in his eyes. He is the only animal that lies on its back, which is flat. Other animals do sex from behind. Man and woman do it, facing each other.

We are divided by different languages. OTHER ANIMALS AND BIRDS SPEAK THE SAME “LANGUAGE”

Other animals do not fight among themselves.

Man is envious. Other creatures exploit species, different from their own. Man exploits his own brothers, making them slaves either directly or by giving wages.
Today, he is making a large number of nulear power plants, without a thought about future generations, who will curse us, after we have left the scene.
All through history he has done only one thing kill ) to the pwer of billion billion !
