It’s a podcast about how people produce their work, what their tricks, habits, drives, influences, fears, motivations, depressive stimuli, and favorite snacks are.

Each episode, the two hosts (Moss and Taylor) will also prostrate themselves in a feeble attempt to replicate the artwork of their guests. Expect contests in songwriting, painting, cooking, metalwork, and feng shui.

But I’m sure the magnificent Magnus Bane does sound familiar. The amazingly sexy, High Warlock of Brooklyn, is getting his own mini series. Yup, you heard right. Starting February 2013, each month until the City of Bones movie, a short story will be released online in an e-book format, and these short stories will later be compiled into The Bane Chronicles to be released as a hard copy book in 2014! There will be a total of 10 short stories~

This project will be done by Cassandra Clare (of course (author of The Mortal Instruments Series, and The Infernal Devices Trilogy)), Sarah Rees Brennan (author of The Demon’s Lexicon Series), and Maureen Johnson (author of the Shades of London series, and 13 Little Blue Envelopes). Each story will be created between either Clare and Brennan, Clare and Johnson, or by Clare alone (because who speaks Magnus better than Magnus? The author who created him in the first place, of course!).

Brennan hinted as to what to expect from The Bane Chronicles :

Have you ever wondered about Magnus’s past loves and lies? Magnus and Alec’s first date? How Magnus and Camille got together? What happened in Peru? Starting in February 2013, in the run-up to City of Handsome Magnus: the Movie (Also Starring Some Other People Who Are Pretty Good-Looking) we will put out a Magnus Short Story every month.

PERU! FIRST DATE! CAMILLE! Yeah, I’m pretty darn excited ! It’s going to be 7 months of MAGNUS~

A crack and a rush of air. Nicole shrieked. This time, Hayley joined her.
“The door!” Corey said. “The door’s open!”
“Hang on!” Daniel yelled at him. “Maya, grab Kenjii!”
I lunged for the dog’s collar, and just then I heard a gasp. Everyone was yelling and wind rushed through the half-open door and I shouldn’t have heard anything. But I heard that gasp.
“Rafe!” I screamed.
I shouted at Nicole to grab him. But as I turned, I saw a blur of motion. Rafe, sailing across the floor of the helicopter.
Out the open door.

Dun, dun, dun! Again, don’t hate me for typing that out for you guys, haha. It’s in the first chapter anyways. Still, my gosh, after that I just couldn’t stop reading. The book is still exciting, filled with action and guns (granted they tend to hold tranq darts, but that’s besides the point). Ugh, loved, loved, loved the book, but the ending will leave you pining for more, even though The Rising (the last book to the trilogy) won’t be out until next year. /dead.

Anyways, I’ll post my review on Tuesday! (When I have a better computer at hand. You do not know how weird this site looks on my comp (everything’s basically in HTML and funny links))

I’ll also be posting some pictures of the ‘swag’ I got (I hate that word… swag…)

Okay. Other than a slight haircut, the girls look exactly the same. I don’t know if they actually got another girl to model, or they just took the cover of Falled, enlarged the picture, fiddled with photoshop and spat that one out, but COME ON. Fallen is pretty big too, so it’s not like one can just say “Oh, I didn’t know?”

Another person pointed out that Battista’s girl is oddly shaped (i.e. she has a lump or something on her back that doesn’t look natural…) It just makes the girl look really… thin after that part… I don’t know.. it’s just weird. According to one source, Fallen was the inspiration for Battista’s cover, but really? Inspiration doesn’t have to mean copy. They could have had the girl in a different pose at least, or it could be like Noel and Chen-Headley’s novels where they at least had the decency to FLIP the girl’s picture so they don’t look EXACTLY alike…

Just a thought.
