[TRANS] 091115 JaeChunSu – It’s Still Negotiable With SM

Dong Bang Shin Ki members, Hero JaeJoong, Micky YooChun and Xiah JunSu, have indicated on the 13th of November that, “The reason for the refusal to perform at the ShenZhen Mirotic Concert is because SM refuses to reveal the contract details.”

The representative of the 3 members stated, “SM only announced the ShenZhen concert schedule after they have filed the lawsuit” and that “The members requested for SM to reveal the contract details regarding the concert but SM refused ; That is the reason why the members decided not to attend the concert at ShenZhen.”

He added on, “ShenZhen Mirotic Concert was not on the tour list originally, that’s something the fans are aware of.”

He also revealed the possibility of reconciliation, “It is not that they (JaeChunSu) do not wish to work with SM anymore,” “There is still a possibility of reconciliation, but only when their issue with the income part of their contract are settled.”

Movie poster from the Elvis Presley movie, Love Me Tender

November 15, 1956: Elvis Aron Presley makes his movie debut when Love Me Tender premieres. Presley made a total of 31 films, the last in 1969. Jailhouse Rock in 1957 and King Creole in 1958 were both critically acclaimed and are classics today. He became the highest paid actor in Hollywood.

He was more than an actor. He has sold over 1,000,000,000 – one billion – records. He had more than 150 albums and singles go gold, platinum, or multi-platinum. He had 149 hits on the American pop charts, 114 in the top 100, 40 in the top 10, and 18 at number 1. Even though he did not perform outside of America [except for five shows in three Canadian cities in 1957] he was the recipient of awards from around the globe: from Norway to South Africa and from England to Japan.

He made his network television debut in 1956 when he appeared on Stage Show. He made two appearances on The Milton Berle Show and during one he performed Hound Dog in such a manner as to cause a national scandal. Ed Sullivan invited him to three performances and paid an unprecedented $50,000 for Elvis to sing. Elvis did sing, but was filmed only from the waist up. No scandals for Ed.

Elvis was more than an entertainer. He was a generous man. He gave away Cadillacs, cash, and jewelry on a whim. In 1961 he gave a benefit concert and raised $65,000 for the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. In 1973 he filmed a television special in Hawaii and did not charge for admittance to the taping. However, he did ask that his audience contribute what they could and gave the proceeds, $75,000, to the Kui Lee Cancer Fund. His eponymous Charitable Foundation continues his work even today.

“Some people tap their feet, some people snap their fingers, and some people sway back and forth. I just sorta do ‘em all together, I guess.”

“The first time that I appeared on stage, it scared me to death. I really didn’t know what all the yelling was about. I didn’t realize that my body was moving. It’s a natural thing to me. So to the manager backstage I said ‘What’d I do? What’d I do?’ And he said ‘Whatever it is, go back and do it again’.”

“I have no use for bodyguards, but I have very specific use for two highly trained certified public accountants.”

“Rhythm is something you either have or don’t have, but when you have it, you have it all over.”

“Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t goin’ away.” – all from Elvis Aron Presley

Also on this day, in 1959 the Clutter family murders took place becoming Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood.

It’s that time of year again. It always makes me sick.

Every year on November 15 th a six-week-long window opens when older folks can change our current insurance plans. We have to do it before December 31st or IT’S TOO LATE. (Sound a little like Big Brother?) This year I think that’s actually pretty funny!

The greatest genius among us seniors has no idea what insurance we have already, leave alone what we’ll have by January 1. We’ve been manipulated, people. We’ve been led to believe that you HAVE to have Prescription Drug Insurance, for example. You don’t. It’s an option. It’s always been an option. (Big Brother?) If you don’t WANT it, call and cancel it, NOW.

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty fed-up with a few insurance companies and all pharmaceutical companies having us by the “short hairs” as the crude saying goes. This is not what Medicare was supposed to be. My parents had the Medicare that was supposed to be.

They got sick; they went to the hospital; Medicare picked up the bill. Yes, ALL of the bill. No paperwork, no claims, no question.

How can we have come so far from that original Medicare plan? Well, I’m afraid that we’ve attracted some PARASITES along the way. There is no other word for the insurance companies and pharmaceuticals who are blackmailing the good ole U.S.A. and having their way with the senior citizens of America.

They say that these special interest groups are spending one and a half million dollars a month paying filibusterers in order to maintain their control over America. If that’s not the dreaded “Big Brother,” I don’t know what would be.

What’s up Playlisters! And well tonight will be yet another session of the Playlist with the one and only DJ Karma… and boy are there music that I wanna share with you! >.<~

But before talking about the show… there’s a question from a commenter that I wanted to answer.

Q: Do you ever make recordings of your radioshow available for download to listen later?

A: And the answer.. is YES we do have recordings of our previous shows. So far its not available for download.. only because there wasn’t much of a demand for it… but it does makes sense to put them up for download only because sometimes the time frame is not that great for everyone. SO!!! Here’s the solution: We’ll be posting up the recordings of my shows soon… so that you can check out the great music if you missed the previous sessions. I will be cropping the show therefore it will only include my session only because I do have an apprentice in training that will be using some air time. So look out for the download links COMING SOON!

And talking about having airtime for our wonderful co-host Steph (>.<~) Tonight we’ll have a little change in airplay between us. The Playlist will be playing at 1:00AM – 2:30AM EST for tonight’s session.

This is the only change in schedule today.. but please listen in.. because I got CRAZY new music tonight!

Please feel free to comment and ask questions.. and i’ll make sure i get to them very soon!

As a kid, I used to go to the Santa Clause parade almost yearly. In the past few years, I always seem to miss it.
The annual parade takes place tomorrow, Nov. 15, starting at 12:30 pm, but many line up an hour early to get a seat or position to be able to see the floats, Santa, clowns and marching bands. It’s run by a non-profit corporation and 1,500 volunteers who participate.
The parade routes starts from Christie and Bloor and travels east to University, south to Dundas, over to Yonge and then down to Front ending at Church and Front.
For a map of the route and other details, click on the parade’s website.

Yep, I had to do it. I had to get political on my blog. Is that the purpose of doing this daily photo blog, you ask? No. The purpose of doing a daily photo blog is to showcase my daily experiences in life in hopes that you may have a similar experience or feeling.

However, my thoughts, feelings and emotions are quite raw today. After hearing about the election results in Maine not passing a same-sex marriage law, I keep reflecting on this same day last year. Although I was ecstatic that the first black President was elected into that WHITE(man) house, I was so torn up inside because California voters placed a ban on same-sex marriage (a.k.a. Prop h8te). “I must break you.”

Last year, at this time I was living in Charlotte, North Carolina. I felt so helpless living so far away from a place where I felt I should be on NorCal street corners protesting h8te until November 15, 2008 came along. I was finally able to join in on a day for the nationwide protest against Prop h8te. I felt a lot of relief having this golden opportunity to express myself.

The ultimate relief will be when all people have the civil right to wed their partner.

Chunkster Challenge
Dana
Now – November 15, 2009
Your Choice: Morbookly Obese

I’m committing to the Mor-book-ly Obese option. (A chunkster is 450 pages or more of ADULT literature (fiction or nonfiction) The challenge is between now and November 15, 2009.

Books I am strongly considering:

Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes
Daniel Deronda by George Eliot
Cecilia by Fanny Burney
The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope

Books I’m timidly but stubbornly considering:

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, translated by Richard Pevear
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, translated by Richard Pevear
Clarissa by Samuel Richardson
Tom Jones by Henry Fielding

I may add different books–I’ll have to check the page count on other classics I’m reading this year.

The books I actually read:

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

For this level of challenge you must commit to 6 or more chunksters OR three tomes of 750 pages or more. You know you want to…..go on and give in to your cravings.
