Noviana Malewa

POSO, Indonésia, 11 de novembro de 2009 (Indonesia Matters) – A menina cristã indonésia Noviana Malewa passou por tratamento médico de 3 anos depois de uma tentativa de decapitação por muçulmanos, na região de Sulawesi em 2005. Noviana Malewa, que tinha 15 anos na época, e três de suas amigas Theresia Morangke, 15 anos, Alfita Poliwo, 17 anos e Yami Sambue, 15 anos, estavam indo por uma estrada no dia 29 de outubro de 2005 a caminho da escola particular cristã na cidade de Poso, quando foram atacadas por uma gangue de muçulmanos com facões.

As três amigas de Noviana foram decapitadas enquanto que Noviana sofreu um grave corte que foi de seu nariz até o pescoço. Recentemente, Novi – como é chamada carinhosamente por seus amigos no mundo todo – passou por mais um tratamento que foi pago peal Voice of the Martyrs (Voz dos Mártires) dos EUA. Ela mora em local não identificado para que não seja novamente atacada, na região de Sulawesi e passou por uma cirurgia para diminuir a dor que ainda sente depois de 5 anos e ajudar a diminuir a cicatriz.

Por causa do ataque, Novi sofreu danos nos nervos e seu queixo foi deslocado. Seu olho direito não para de piscar bem como existe uma retração involuntária no canto direito de sua boca. Ele também está sendo tratada contra as fortes dores de cabeça que às vezes sente. O cirurgião plástico conseguiu reduzir muito a cicatriz, ajudando assim a melhorar o estado psicológico de Novi.

Como tudo aconteceu, segundo o procurador de justiça que investigou o caso

O crime contra as quatro meninas cristãs foi cometido sob a liderança de Hasanuddin, também chamado de Hasan ou Slamet Raharjo. O padrinho de Hasanuddin é o líder extremista muçulmano Adnan Arsal. Hasanuddin planejou os ataques junto com o clérigo muçulmano Ustadz Sanusi, durante uma reunião na biblioteca municipal do bairro de Gebang Rejo, em Poso, na ilha de Java – Indonésia. Nessa reunião, Hasanuddin contou ao clérigo Ustadz Sanusi que quando ele estava treinando junto com os guerrilheiros da Frente de Libertação Moro (MILF) nas Filipinas, ele escutou as estórias de que era costume que esses muçulmanos atacassem os postos de segurança e matassem os soldados como uma forma de demonstrar a caridade muçulmana no final do mês sagrado do Ramadan.

Hasanuddin: "Achem alguns cristãos por aí"

O clérigo muçulmano Ustadz Sanusi então perguntou se essa comemoração poderia ser feita na cidade de Poso. Hasanuddin pensou um pouco a respeito e mais tarde enquanto lia um livro, disse que teve a ideia de cortar as cabeças de alguns cristãos. Então mandou dois de seus colegas muçulmanos, Purnomo e Irwanto Irano, encontrar alguns alvos. “É melhor encontrar alguns cristãos para servirem de comemoração ao Idul Fitri, procurem por aí” . O Idul Fitri é a festa muçulmana que comemora o final do jejum do Ramadan.
Depois de poucos dias, Purnomo e Irwanto Irano notaram que seis escolares cristãs faziam sempre o mesmo caminho ao longo de uma estrada deserta, a caminho da escola. As crianças foram observadas quatro vezes antes do dia do ataque, 29 de outubro de 2005.

Seis facões e dois sacos plásticos pretos foram comprados no mercado da cidade de Poso com dinheiro fornecido por Hasanuddin. Então o clérigo muçulmano Ustadz Sanusi disse a Hasanuddin para escrever uma nota, que seria colocada próxima às cabeças das crianças. Hasanuddin respondeu: “nós ainda precisamos mais 100 cabeças (de cristãos), sangue por sangue, vida por vida e cabeça por cabeça”.

Depois de observar a cena do ataque, Irwanto e um amigo chamado Lilik recrutaram cinco colegas de sua madrasa (escola muçulmana onde se aprende o Alcorão) para tomar parte no ataque: Papa Yusron (apelidado Isran), Nanto (apelidado Bojel), Agus Jenggot, Basri e Wiwin Kalahe (apelidade Rorno). No dia do ataque, por volta das 6:45 da manhã o grupo observou as quatro meninas nos seus uniformes escolares andando pela estrada. Lilik deu um sinal e o ataque começou. Papa Yusran cortou a cabeça de Alfita Polino, Agus Jenggot fez o mesmo com Theresia Morangki, Basri tentou cortar a cabeça de Noviana Malewa mas ela conseguiu escapar. Depois disso, Basri conseguiu pegar a quarta menina, Yarni Sambua, e a decapitou.

As cabeças das meninas foram colocadas nos sacos plásticos e depois levadas por Torno (apelidado Wiwin Kalahe) para uma casa no bairro de Tanah Runtuh, em Poso. Os facões foram dados ao religioso muçulmano Ustad Sanusi, que os levou para sua casa como lembrança da “jihad”.

Pouco depois do ataque, duas das cabeças foram descobertas numa encruzilhada no bairro de Lage, perto de uma delegacia de polícia e uma das cabeças foi jogada na porta de uma igreja no bairro de Kasinguncu.

Lilik e Purwanto foram capturados. Os outros seis muçulmanos inclusive o “religioso” muçulmano Ustadz Sanusi estão à solta até hoje, e não teriam conseguido ficar à solta por tanto tempo em a cumplicidade e o acobertamento da comunidade muçulmana local. A polícia encontrou grandes dificuldades para interrogar as testemunhas, pois todas foram intimidadas por muçulmanos para que se calassem.

Durante o julgamento, Hasanuddin disse que a ideia de cortar as cabeças partiu do religioso muçulmano Ustadz Sanusi. O mesmo Ustadz Sanusi teria sugerido os homicídios como comemoração do fim do mês de jejum do Ramadan muçulmano. No entanto, Hasanuddin admitiu:

“Eu disse que estava certo matar, mas de um modo proporcional. Tratava-se de guerra (contra os cristãos) e a guerra não foi causada por vingança, mas por causa de Alá (Alá mandou matar), não podemos brincar com isso”, disse Hasanuddin. No final do julgamento, Hasanuddin admitiu que o que fez foi errado.

Durante o julgamento dos extremistas muçulmanos, Noviana Malewa e os pais das outras meninas assassinadas, apertaram as mãos dos assassinos. Foi um ato de fé cristã, segundo Noviana Malewa, obedecendo à palavra de Cristo. Vejam uma entrevista com Noviana Malewa.

For some women the winter weather presents a new fashion challenge: how to stay warm without adding bulk.  For example, I think that some puffy coats are adorable.  Unfortunately when I wear them I look like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.  Considering the fact that most of my outfit choices are geared towards making myself look thinner, you can as where this might be considered counter-productive.  Luckily there are many coat choices out there.  There is also an alternative to adding warmth only with bulky sweaters.  They’re called Cuddle Duds.

To put it simply, they’re long johns for women.  But instead of your run of the mill waffle weave cotton numbers… as sexy as they may be… Cuddle Duds are silky, soft and thin.  They add a lot of warmth without all the bulk.  Perfect to put under your tops, pants and fine knit sweaters.

It’s official… sweater season has arrived!  I’ve recently been asked a few questions regarding sweaters so I thought I’d share a couple with the class.

        The problem: Pills – those nasty little balls that form on some sweaters as a result of friction.  You’ll most often see them under the arms where the sleeves rub against the body, across the body from the seatbelt, at the wrists where you move them on the desk… you get the picture.

                    Two solutions:

                     Pumice Stone - easy to use and gives you full control over the amount of pressure you apply.

                       Shaver - battery operated and removes pills in a jiffy.                                                                               

"Ontel Fuzz Wizard Fab Shaver"

         The problem: Fold vs. hang – if you fold your sweaters in a drawer you can’t see everything you have and if you hang them they stretch out and lose their shape.

                    Two solutions:

                    Hanging Sweater Storage - you’re able to see everything you own without risking the shape of the garment.  Added bonus * the cubby holes keep the stacks from toppling over!

                       Sweater Hangers – for lightweight knits ONLY!  Gravity is the arch enemy of sweaters (and mine) so hanging them is always risky.  However if you have a very lightweight fine gauge knit you might be able to get away with it.  To avoid damaging the delicate knit and getting those funny little shoulder bumps, try padded satin hangers.

No matter what, not even if the product claims amazing results, never, ever, hang a sweater to dry!  It will completely lose it’s shape and ultimately ruin the quality and look of the sweater.  Always lay it flat or send it for dry cleaning.

Are you thinking “Didn’t she use that same title last week?”  Yes, I did.  But I lest anyone think that style belongs only to women, or accuse me of sexism, I don’t want to leave the guys out.  This week’s blog is what men should buy (or what their ladies should buy for them) this fall if they only buy one thing.  And the answer, again… I don’t have amnesia… is the classic white shirt.  For men it’s the Oxford cloth button-down-collar dress shirt.  A classic piece that never goes out of style and, more to the point, is always IN STYLE.  Don’t believe me?  Twenty two out of the “50 Most Stylish Men of the Past 50 Years” article in GQ (from whence I lifted the picture of Paul Newman) are wearing white dress shirts.  Albeit not all of them are button-down-collar, and one of them has ruffles down the front, but you get my point.

Button-down-collars on dress shirts normally bring shirts to a more casual level and in the case of this shirt, that is exactly what makes it so versatile.  You can wear it with a:

-blazer    -     leather jacket    -    vest    -    hoodie    -    cardigan    -    and on, and on, and on….

and some

- jeans    -    corduroys    -    tweed trousers    -    khakis    -    and on, and on, and on….

Or dress it up with a suit and a tie.  Wanna try something new for the fall and winter?  Try a knit tie.  The texture and style match nicely with the elegant yet casual style of the shirt.

You can find these shirts just about anywhere.  The point is to get the right size.  The shirt should FIT.  That means the shoulder seams should be at your shoulders, the sleeve ends 1/2 an inch from your wrist bone and the body of the shirt is fairly close to your torso.  No balloon effect, you should not be able to fit another person in the shirt with you!  For this reason it’s better to get a shirt that is sized by neck size and sleeve length (for example: 16 x 32/33) as opposed to XS – XL.  For more on proper fit check my past blog: Sharp Dressed Man: The Basics of a Man’s Suit Ensemble

In the six weeks or so that I’ve been back in metro Detroit, I’ve been spending at least an hour a day in the woods, walking and thinking (or trying not to think too much).

From my apartment, it’s a five minute walk to a steel-caged footbridge that carries me over I-696 to Woodland Hills, a rough, root-knotted walking trail looped around a brambly 74-acre nature park. At the back of the park, just past a trail heavy with goldenrod and dogwood, there’s a marshy pond, goose families, and a few no swimming signs.

Suburbs have long seemed like no-places to me — invented miles of strip malls, office parks, curlicue’d subdivisions with no sidewalks, their continuity interrupted by perpetually widening expressway corridors. The suburbs, especially when I lived in the suburbs, were inconvenient, alienating and colorless at their best — at their worst, resource-sucking, psyche-ravaging holes in space.

But Farmington Hills is my hometown and, for now, the no-place I call my own, and although I felt strange and scared to move back here, I am learning to reconsider the suburbs — or rather this suburb — as an honest-to-goodness place. It’s a complicated reckoning, especially in Detroit, where every attempt at so-called normal life seems infinitesimally examined.

There’s a lot that has dazzled me about Farmington Hills and environs, a freshness that comes as a luxury of my many years elsewhere. My small suburban apartment complex is unquestionably the most diverse place I have ever lived, and the sprawling aisles of ethnic food at grocery stores — and the languages I hear there — are dizzying. And I still see good movies and good art shows and hear good music and hang out with smart, creative people — my biggest fear about leaving a “real” city and moving to a satellite suburb in a huge, fragmented metropolis.

But my search for a spiritual core of suburbia has taken me time and time again to several local parks, all of which I call, in casual conversation, “the woods.”

The woods are part of the natural history of a place and reminder of the human history around it that I often want to deny the suburbs. In Heritage Park – Farmington’s 200-acre jewel — there’s a pet cemetary from the 1930s where the Spicer family dogs are buried, near an English-style countryside manor, built in 1926, where Eleanor Spicer lived until her death in 1982. The land that’s Heritage Park now was her farm — she rode horses, raised sheep and often referred to her land as “the only unspoiled place” in the city.

(Aside: stumbling around the internet for some basic fact-checking has led me to this excellent guide to historic Farmington buildings and sites, organized by architectural style.)

Farmington’s abundance of megaplex movie theaters and big box-anchored shopping centers belies the city’s history. The area was first settled by Quakers; Farmington founded a post office and organized a township in 1827. My parents live a few suburbs over in Novi (apocryphally, the number six — No.VI — train stop); a half-mile from their house, nestled between two industrial parks, is a little farmstead cemetery started in the mid-1840s by the Knapp family. Just past the graveyard you can hook a right into Rotary Park, a 67-acre swath of barely-tended woodland along the Middle Rogue. I walk my mom’s border collies down a trail crashed with deadfall and overgrown with water grasses; the dogs like to race down the trail ahead of me and leap through the brush into the river.

Today, Novi is the mall capital of Oakland County, with the Fountain Walk and Twelve Oaks and the Town Center causing immediate aneurysm to anyone who finds herself at the 696 and Novi Road interchange. Then again, my brother lives in Novi on a gravel road and has watched herds of deer (and an occasional coyote) caravan through his backyard.

The woods are also, like the suburbs, a kind of no-place. These parks seem less like parks to me than slices of Farmington unstuck in time, shaken loose from the tended lawns and chain restaurants and allowed to be what they have always been. Just as the strip malls I’ve known in Michigan don’t look too different from the strip malls I’ve known in Iowa, Wisconsin, or Indiana, I call all of the nature trails I love — Woodland Hills, the river bluff trails in Milwaukee, even those modest few acres that buffer my elementary school from the subdivision behind it — the woods. And all of them make me feel basically okay about wherever I am.

What am I going to do during the winter? Maybe I should learn to cross-country ski.

Liggend in een hangmat op het voordek realiseer ik mij wat voor een prachtig land Kroatië is. Na wat zakelijke verplichtingen is het nu tijd om even te ontspannen. Met vrienden zeil ik wat rond door de Kvarner. We zijn niet de enigen die het land van meer dan duizend eilanden ontdekt hebben, maar hier in het wat minder bekende gebied is het nog rustig. We vertrekken vanuit Punat op eiland Krk. Hier is een moderne marina. Ik leer veel deze dagen, zo werd mij verteld dat het gebruikelijk is om met de spiegel naar de kade af te meren, ik zie hoe dat nogal wat stuurmanskunsten en kalmte vereist, maar mijn vrienden zijn zo ervaren, hier groei je op met de zee en hier groei je op met allerlei watersporten. We steken over naar het tegenovergelegen Cres om vervolgens via Lošinj en Rab weer terug te komen op Krk. Er staat de laatste dagen veel wind waardoor we veel kunnen zeilen ipv alleen op de motor te varen. Bij nadering van Cres zie ik hoe vissers hun vangst binnen brengen en kinderen zich vermaken op rustige kiezelstrandjes. Er zijn hier weinig toeristen, wel een restaurantje dat de zojuist gevangen vis serveert. Onder de pijnbomen genieten we van het uitzicht op ons schip in de baai. Mijn vrienden willen mij meer laten zien en dus zeilen we door naar Unije, een heel klein eiland met heuvel vol met olijfbomen. Men verteld mij dat er slechts 86 mensen op dit typische visserseiland wonen. In de baai bij het gelijknamige dorpje gooien we het anker uit en genieten van het helderblauwe water. In de avond genieten we van een prachtige zonsondergang.

De Kroatische kust is zo ontzettend mooi, heb al veel gezien maar dit blijft me keer op keer bekoren. En mediterraan klimaat, de mensen die zo gastvrij en behulpzaam zijn. Voor zeilers is Kroatië ook een topbestemming! Ook de havens zijn goed uitgerust, de schepen die er voor de verhuur zijn, jong en goed onderhouden, mijn ondernemersgeest gaat met mij op de loop. Nee denk ik, nog even niet doen, nu even relaxen.

Onderweg naar Lošinj, In de baai van Sušak bezoeken we het enige zandstrand in de wijde omtrek, mijn vrienden denken mij hiermee een plezier te doen. Maar ik ben groot geworden in Kroatië, het land van de kiezelstranden, dus prefereer ik de stranden van Kroatië zoals je ze meestal aantreft. In Mali Lošinj aangekomen zoeken we een plekje in de stadhaven. We zullen hier de nacht doorbrengen. Na een heerlijke avond waarbij we met elkaar hebben gegeten in een intiem visrestaurantje in een achterafstraatje keren we na de nodige flessen wijn terug naar onze boot. De volgende morgen na het ontwaken en een ontbijt in een restaurantje aan de havenkade slaan we wat groente en vers fruit in en bezoeken we de visafslag, Het volgende stuk voor de oversteek naar Rab zeilen we met halve wind. Rab bezocht ik voor zaken ook al een aantal dagen daarvoor, nooit vervelend om weer terug te zijn. Rab verveelt nooit, de oude stad is zo mooi en nog zo onaangetast door massatoerisme. We besluiten hier te overnachten. De volgende morgen blijkt er een flinke wind te staan. We koersen aan op Vrbnik, voor mij een vertrouwde en bekende plek. Vrbnik is hoog bovenop een klif gebouwd. Het is erg druk als we het kleine haventje binnenvaren. De locals gebruiken de kademuur om de week maar eens met elkaar door te nemen, in de haven wordt gezwommen, het is een drukte van jewelste. Mijn herinnering gaat terug naar mijn vakanties jaar in jaar uit in deze regio. Hoe vaak ben ik hier ook niet als kind van de havenkade gedoken en heb hier gezwommen. Het is alsof de tijd er is stil blijven staan, niets is veranderd na 30 jaar, gelukkig maar! Motorboten pendelen heen en weer tussen Novi, Crikvenica en Krk, om de zoveel uur komt er weer een lading toeristen aan. Na zes uur is iedereen weg en neemt een weldadige rust bezit van Vrbnik. We klimmen omhoog naar het kleine centrum van het stadje en kopen de lokale specialiteiten: olijfolie en de Vrbnicka Zlahtina ( witte wijn). Later gluren we even binnen bij de kerk waar net een dienst begint. Als we op het plein tijdens het avondeten genieten van lokale gerechten, stroomt de kerk leeg, met zijn allen genieten we van de relaxte sfeer die ons in zijn macht heeft. Met de bewoners maken we nog ons eigen feestje, er wordt muziek gemaakt, we drinken, dansen met elkaar en ik voel honderden vlinders in mijn buik. Het gelukzalige gevoel wat mij heeft overmeesterd. Het gevoel van inténs geluk. Om hier te zijn, hier in mijn mooie Kroatië, hier tezamen met lieve vrienden.

On Friday, September 25th I teamed up with Mod Squad hair salon in Saline, and Kristin Finn from Mary Kay, to present the fashion trends for fall.  Apparently I’m not as good at multi-tasking as some of the other mom-entrepeneurs out there.  How they are able to plan and execute events while maintaining their businesses, blogs and Twitters, and not forget the feeding, folding, changing, etc., etc., is beyond me!  Obviously I have something to work towards.  To see the fruits of our labor check out the video/photo montage on the “Events” page of my website: http://www.stylesuccess.net/Events.html

In the end my family got fed, the laundry got put away… eventually, and the event was a success.  The Twittering and blogging, however, suffered.  With that, onto Fall…

If you don’t buy anything else new this fall you should buy a classic white shirt.  Not one with ruffles or ribbons or sparkles.  A clean, crisp, tailored white shirt.  My favorite is this one from Banana Republic:

You can wear it with jeans, slacks, skirts, shorts… not in fall maybe, but eventually.  Wear it out, tucked in or belted.  Wear it with a necklace or scarf, a simple white tank underneath or a sequined cami for drama.  It’s appropriate for every age and they make it in a good range of sizes, including petites and talls.

The shirt from Banana is just one option, there are others out there.  If you live in Houston, Texas, check out Basiques in Uptown Park, Sherri has practically turned it into an art form!

When I had to attend the first class of Interpersonal Skill class, I felt very confused about what I should wear and what I should do in the class. I decided to wear the long shirt with skirt. When the class began, I saw person that I never seen before. And the person is Mrs.Nissa, Mr.Ahmad’s wife. She is really attractive and tried to make us show our ability in speaking in front of the class. She also tried to develop teamwork skill by divided us into several groups. Actually I had had a group, but my group has to be split up and I have to gather with another person and form a new group. I felt little bit disappointed, but because my new partners are also my friends, my disappointment changed become happiness and spirit to make our group become the best group. We decided to name our group “Satellite” because we want to take the philosophy of objective and broad way of thinking of a satellite. Besides that, we want to have navigation skill to be adapted to all situations that we face. After explaining our name and the meaning of our name, we discussed about IQ, EQ, and SQ, and also about leadership. The discussion was really interesting and gave me new horizon and knowledge. It becomes challenge to us to synergize and balance our IQ, EQ, and SQ. We also have to improve our leadership skill. Mrs. Nissa also commented about our appearance, what we should wear as professionals. After attending Interpersonal Skill class, I’m really encouraged to improve my communication skill and my appearance. In the next class I have to try to use the chances to sharpen my communication skill. I also think what I should wear to get good appearance and impress people with my performance. I’m really excited to attend next class.

What I got from the Class:

What I should do :

• Try to communicate attractively

I have spent a lot of time lately compiling local support group information via the Alzheimer’s Association in an effort to present it to my mom so she won’t have the excuse that she doesn’t know where to go nor the time to research it.  I figure I’ll just give her the list of options and tell her to choose one, and then make her stick to it.

I realize that, no matter how dark the funk may be that I’m in, my mom must be going through something a thousand-times worse.  But she won’t reach out.  She won’t even really cry.  I think that would make it too real.  And she doesn’t want to appear weak.  This way, she can stuff it all into a manageable filing system within her where she’s able to deal with it in her own original way when she’s ready.  She’s definitely not an OMG-woe-is-me kind of person.  She’s strong.  Tough.  Like she always said as a child, Don’t let ‘em see you cry. 

But the danger is that she’s already a tough person and by getting tougher now to survive this, she WILL break down at some point.  YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE CAREGIVER.  I’m working on getting this point through to her.  I have to get through to her.  I just can’t push her too much.  And I can’t give her too much space for too long of a time.  I have to time it just right.  She can’t feel smothered.  But I refuse to ever let her feel like she’s alone.

good times, great family!  these four are a bundle of energy and a joy to be around!  mom and dad make having four kids look easy.  i don’t know how they do it, but man do they pull it off with ease.  i have to admit though, one of my favorite sights is seeing mom wrangle the gang while hauling the double stroller at school and around town!  enjoy the peek, slideshow coming today, too!

mr. “c” and his mommy invited me out to their beautiful home about a week ago.  can you believe his gorgeous baby blues?!   i love watching this age as they toddle around and explore!

Judul artikel personal development saya kali ini yaitu “Sudahkah Saya Berkomunikasi dengan Baik?” Saya memilih judul ini karena setelah mengikuti kuliah Keterampilan Interpersonal hari Rabu kemarin yang dibawakan oleh Ibu Kristin, saya jadi bertanya-tanya, apakah selama ini komunikasi yang saya lakukan sudah baik atau masih banyak ‘noise’/ gangguan, baik dalam diri saya, maupun  dari penerima. Ketika mendengar kata komunikasi, tentu yang muncul di pikiran Anda yaitu mengenai percakapan, dan interaksi antar 2 orang atau lebih.  Apakah komunikasi hanya mengenai percakapan atau interaksi? Kenyataannya tidak, komunikasi merupakan proses penyampaian informasi (pesan, ide, gagasan) dari satu pihak kepada pihak lain agar terjadi saling mempengaruhi diantara keduanya. Jadi komunikasi terdiri dari komponen-komponen yang tidak dapat terpisahkan Komponen-komponen tersebut adalah pengirim pesan, pesan/informasi yang ingin disampaikan, penerima pesan, feedback, dan terkadang ada juga gangguan/noise yang menyebabkan pesan tidak dapat tersampaikan secara sempurna. Karena noise inilah komunikasi tidak dapat berjalan dengan baik dan efek buruknya dapat merusak hubungan dengan orang lain. Oleh karena itu, terkadang dalam organisasi maupun keluarga, ketika terjadi keretakan biasanya ketidakberjalanan dalam komunikasi diklaim menjadi salah satu penyebabnya. Nah, selama ini sepertinya komunikasi yang saya lakukan juga sering terganggu oleh noise tersebut. Noise itu lebih sering berasal dari diri saya sendiri. Suara saya tergolong kecil, sehingga kalau berbicara dikeramaian suara saya menjadi tidak terdengar dan lawan bicara saya harus mendekati telinganya agar suara saya terdengar. Selain itu, ketika berbicara tempo bicara saya tergolong cepat, apalagi ketika saya sedang gugup, suaranya lebih tidak jelas lagi. Hal inilah yang sering membuat saya tidak percaya diri kalau harus berbicara di depan banyak orang. Akan tetapi, setelah mendengar penjelasan dari Ibu Kristin bahwa kemampuan komunikasi bisa terus dilatih, dan ada ilmu-ilmu yang dapat membantu kita untuk dapat meraih perhatian audience untuk dapat fokus pada apa yang kita sampaikan, saya merasa ada harapan. Salah satu ilmu yang saya maksud adalah ilmu hipnosis/hipnotis. Dengan hipnosis pula kita dapat membuat diri kita lebih percaya diri ketika berbicara, dan membuat audience akhirnya mampu fokus pada apa yang kita sampaikan dan mampu menerima dengan baik dan tepat apa yang ingin kira sampaikan. Kekurangan  saya lagi dalam berkomunikasi yaitu postur tubuh. Karena tubuh saya agak bungkuk, sehingga kalau berdiri terlihat tidak mantap dan kurang rapih. Selain itu, ketika berbicara pun saya tidak percaya diri untuk menatap lawan bicara saya dan sering membuat gerakan-gerakan yang bisa saja menjadi noise bagi audience. Hal-hal seperti itulah yang harus saya perbaiki agar nantinya saya bisa mengurangi noise yang bisa mengganggu komunikasi yang saya lakukan dan mungkin saja membuat saya kehilangan kesempatan berharga dalam hidup saya, misalnya saja pada saat wawancara kerja. Perbaikan yang dapat saya lakukan saat ini adalah mencoba untuk berbicara dengan tempo yang tidak terlalu cepat, memperbaiki postur dan posisi tubuh pada saat berdiri, dan mencoba latihan jika harus berbicara di depan orang banyak.
