Submit your abstract for presentation at the conference this summer in Seaside, OR.  The conference is scheduled for August 23-27, 2009.  To submit an abstract for presentation, go to: <a href="http://www.nritsconference.org/2009program.html">http://www.nritsconference.org/2009program.html</a>.</p>

<description><![CDATA[ITS Oregon will be hosting the 2009 National Rural ITS Conference in Seaside, Oregon from August 23 ]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>ITS Oregon will be hosting the 2009 National Rural ITS Conference in Seaside, Oregon from August 23 to 27, 2009.  In order to make this a great conference, we are soliciting conference planning committee members. Activities currently being planned include:</p>
<ul>
<li> Sunday bonfire welcoming reception</li>
<li> Monday and/or Tuesday evening social events</li>
<li> Identification of session topics and session speakers</li>
<li> Finding a keynote speaker</li>
<li> Technical tours</li>
</ul>
<p>We will be holding monthly conference call meetings of the planning committee to keep all committee members up to date on the status of the activity planning.  There may be an occasional in-person meeting to work out details.</p>
