During the Communist rule, free artistry was not something easily accepted in Soviet Russia. Art that did not serve the interests of the communist state was ignored, and art that directly antagonized communism was heavily persecuted. Art depicting nude boys, however, did not attempt against the state or anyone for that matter, so it was allowed. Below are eight beautiful examples of Soviet nude photography. Unfortunately, the artist is unknown.
