After last night’s 30 minute epic, I’m still wondering why more people aren’t pausing for a moment to really understand just how long this guy has been around.  The Hollywood show we shaw last night was packaged, not with experience or substance but with alot of $$$.  Give any top notch Hollywood producer that kind of dough and he better put something together that was just what we saw…a feel good, touch your heart plea for a vote.  Don’t get lazy with 6 days left.  Investigate this guy, he’s only been in the Senate a very short time…much of which has been on the campaign trail.  We need jobs in this country, NOW, and a plan that takes more experience than what Barack brings to the table.

Ok everyone, going to do a little Letterman in the days leading upto this election.  Going to have some top ten reasons why we should take pause should anyone even remotely be thinking about voting for Obama.  Never before have I witnessed an American public be so glib at the concerns of a candidates credentials or question marks for the highest office in the land.  I thought it was important to bring them to light.  Hannity’s American on Fox did a great job so I’m going to post them hear.  Enjoy!

#9 – HE’S A MEDIA DARLING

In August, Barack Obama made the comment that as president he would attack al-Qaeda targets in Pakistan, with or without Pakistani approval:

I understand that President Musharraf has his own challenges… But let me make this clear. There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. … If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf will not act, we will.

This comment met harsh criticism amongst both the White House and his fellow Democratic presidential hopefuls. Even I wasn’t gung-ho about the possibility of these renegade attacks. However, once again Senator Obama has proved all doubters wrong. In January, U.S. forces, acting without the Pakistani government’s approval, killed senior al-Qaeda commander Abu Laith al-Libi. The attack was a rare victory in the war on terrorism, the first against the terrorist group’s top ranks in two years, and top U.S. military commanders are planning on using the tactic again.

Once again, Barack Obama has proven that judgement is greater than experience when it comes to some things. While Obama may not have the “experience” that Hillary does of voting for a misguided war (oh wait..that’s another plus for Obama) he has repeatedly proven he has the judgement necessary for Commander in Chief. In October 2002, five months before the Iraq War began, Barack gave a speech in Chicago against the war, a stance that was extremely unopopular at the time. However, then, like now, he was able to accurately assess the situation when many others were heading in the wrong direction:

But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors…and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history.

I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a U.S. occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences.

I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.

I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars. So for those of us who seek a more just and secure world for our children, let us send a clear message to the president.

Looks like he was able to come to a conclusion it took the rest of the country years to come to if you ask me. We don’t need “experience,” do you think McCain’s “experience” will find a solution to Iraq? We need judgement.
