Just thought I’d post a few pics of some of the “Work” I’ve done over the years/ For those of you who don’t know, when I’m not siting here pimping authors, organizing websites, reading submissions, recording audio, and writing the occasional short story myself, I work for a stainless steel manufacturing plant in Springfield Missouri. We make tanks, as in the kind you make beer, wine and pharmaceuticals in. Below are a few of the things I’ve made in my spare time.

All this stuff is custom, and all of it is made from stainless steel. I have other projects as well, but perhaps I’ll post some of that in the future, if you must have more, a friend I work with has some of my stuff up on his website as well as some amazing things he has done. Check it out here.

Don’t you just hate it when your over your limit in the number of projects you must complete? Well, that was definatly me these past couple of days! Since my county said that every student was supposed to apply for the Science Fair, I myself had to complete a project with about 900 Kids by my side. This meaning my whole school had to do this, and it wasn’t fun, not fun at all.

Doesn’t it just warm your heart to see 3 animals from totally different continents, getting along / showing affection for each other? Well yes, I’m speaking the truth. A business called Noah’s Ark rescues wildlife and restores them to proper health, but for the 3 animals they seem to keep to themselves.

The names of these 3 animals are, Leo, Shere Khan, and Baloo, since all are males they seem to only show affection in a way we would to our brothers or sisters. If you don’t believe a word I’ve said then here’s supporting evidence that they show affection in a way we would:

Well anyways, the reason why I’m bringing up this website is because it’s getting close to Christmas, well by like 2 days.

If you have no clue how to open a banana “Like a monkey” then you’ve missed out on a lot. Trust me.

The reason why you should know how is because, have you ever got a banana and tried to open it but the stem wouldn’t break off? Instead it was squishing you banana? Well guess what, those days are over.

Here’s the steps on how to do this process.

First: Get a Banana
Second: Pinch the Stem
Third: Pull

Sorry for those of you who know how to do this.

I’m pretty sure you’ve heard someone tell you that life isn’t fair. Well, this is so, so very true. One of my friends moved to Illinois where they have an hour study hall and nice kids, while I’m sitting here with 4 classes that are an hour long each with no study hall and horrible mean students. Is this fair?

The month of October is usually a make or break time for clubs. You see lots of managerial changes around this time. Clubs panic, especially if they’ve had a bad start to a campaign where they were expected to do better.

Look at John Barnes. I think he was unlucky to lose his job. They had a horrendous start, that is not in question. However, surely when you install a manager in the summer, you have to give them time to settle in and get the football club the way they like it. It seems that because football teams are now run like a business, results are key. It doesn’t matter if you show glimpses of potential, if your bottom of the league and not winning then the odds are by October you’ve been sacked.

McCall has had it tough in his reign as City boss. He’s had highs and lows as a player but I’m sure he’ll say that he had a fairly successful career and will want to carry that on into management.

How far away was he from quitting? I’m pretty sure he was close to throwing in the towel. However, he was persuaded to stay and the summer rebuilding began once more.

New signing’s in and players shipped out, it’s third time lucky for the Bantams and McCall this season.

September was a poor start by the Bantams. McCall knew that they needed a fairly good start to get the minority of fans off his back but some fans were quickly calling for his head after shipping eight goals in two games in Nottingham.

A draw at home to Port Vale didn’t exactly help his cause, followed by a 2-0 loss at home against Peter Jackson’s Lincoln. I have to be honest, at this stage I was expecting a managerial change. It was surely time to go for the Bantam boss and keep his ‘McGod’ reputation intact.

Cheltenham away. Make or break? Again, we’ll never know what would have happened if we’d lost that match. However the Bantams came on top in a thriller. Cheltenham 4 – 5 Bradford. Some fans were still negative nevertheless. We’d scored five, but we’d conceded four. Defensively we were looking poor.

The next match was another must win. The pressure was on, with the Bantams taking on Torquay at the Coral Windows Stadium. City came through it unscathed with a 2-0 win, thanks to goals from Brandon and Hanson.

Then came the cup game that many clubs don’t find beneficial…until the latter stages anyway. The Johnstones Paint Trophy. Rochdale the opponents. The Bantams came from behind to beat a good Rochdale side 2-1.

Four days later saw City take on another team who had underachieved last season, Shrewsbury. A battling performance and a lot of luck, saw the Yorkshire side come away with yet another win. That made it four in a row and suddenly McCall was starting to get it right.

Two draws followed against Burton Albion at home (1-1) and Barnet away (2-2) before a 3-0 home thumping of promotion chasing Chesterfield. Had we turned a corner after a bad start?

A dull bore draw at Morecambe (0-0) was not a bad result, but nor was it a good result as the Bantams looked to kick on after showing their potential in the previous games.

Bantams then looked on to a game against Northampton away. A game which we should have won. After scoring twice in less than five minutes if looked like the points were heading back to Yorkshire. However, in true Bantams fashion we managed to draw the match, conceding a 90th equalizer. It felt like a defeat for McCall, his team and the loyal travelling fans.

Joy was to come however, in the form of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. After knocking out Rochdale in the previous round, the Bantams were handed a tough home game against wealthy League Two side, Notts County. The match, full of incidents including former Bantam Graeme Lee been sent off, went to penalties, Steve Williams scoring the decisive kick after heroics by Eastwood in the Bradford goal.

Bradford were hoping to use their form in the cup to help them kick on in the league but two defeats followed. The Bantams were embarrased at home with Dario Gradi taking over once more at Crewe and setting up a 3-2 victory for his side, former Bantam Steven Schumacher amongst the goals for the Railway men.

However, the Bantams were unfortunate against a good Dagenham and Redbridge side who won 2-1, Flynn with the goal for Bradford.

A 1-0 at home to Hereford set the Bantams on their way again but a disappointing draw away at Macclesfield, despite controlling the game, left McCall frustrated.

Bradford were knocked out of the F.A cup 2-1 by Notts County, the third meeting between the sides in the 2009-2010 season.

Three consecutive home draws were to follow. Port Vale (2-2), Bournemouth (1-1) and Accrington Stanley (1-1).

Simon Whaley was brought in by McCall to give the Bantams boss more options after a succession of injuries.

He made his full debut against Grimsby, grabbing a goal in the 3-0 demolition of the Mariners.

Come the end of November Bradford were sitting in mid-table with plenty to play for, but they had to cut out the silly mistakes that were costing them. To many draws had also cost the Bantams but some encouraging results displayed the ability of McCall’s young side.

You’re probably wondering what in the world that title is I’m sure if you have never heard or Mike Michalowicz and his book “The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur.”  If you are a TPE, you are able to take the last three sheets on a roll and manage rather than call for help… I read this book and it was exactly what I needed to hear and that extra push that I needed.  

If you like motivational, inspiring, in your face, tell it like is kind of book then this the book to read.  It’s not your typical business/entrepreneur books that you see and read.  I have read many books on entrepreneurship and what business tactics are best etc. but none of them give you that extra push to get up and do something like this one does.  Many business books are written by people who have a long list of schooling rather than actual real experience of what they’re telling you.  Wouldn’t you rather read about someone who has been there at the bottom, making their way to the top by true and actual hard work?  Only a few people become overnight successes (very few) and the rest of us truly have to work to make our dream come true and Mike did just that.  Yes some of it may be in your face but that’s what being an entrepreneur is, a go getter.  If you don’t have the passion to work towards what you want to do then it won’t ever work and that’s what Mike is trying to get across to you.  If everything was easy would we truly appreciate it?  When you read the book you will understand why he is a “Toilet Paper Entrepreneur.”  He simply asks you “what are you going to do when you are stuck with only three sheets left on a toilet paper roll?”  He teaches you not to call for help but to make due with what you got…

Om landdelfinerna

Förr fanns det ja förr så fanns det har många av oss hört att det fanns en sorts landdelfiner ja det stämmer det fanns det

De talade trögt de tog tid på sig med dova läten var helt enkelt inte så långt hunna utan mycket långsamt ja så har vi hört sägas man lär inte ha kunnat förstå vad de sa om man inte övade sig att uppfatta ljuden

Och de simmade mycket sakta orkade heller inte länge ett par tre timmar orkade somliga andra sjönk och drunknade ännu tidigare så tröga och kraftlösa

Men det är tydligt får anses klart att de var medvetna varelser rörde sig inte alltid planlöst hade ett utvecklat sinne för jakt åkte målmedvetet omkring i sina stora bukiga skepp vad var det jo runda skal som de bodde i ungefär som fisklöss fast inuti fisken liksom

I somliga trakter kunde man inte undgå att stöta på deras fartyg alldeles riktigt det fanns farvatten där de vimlade

Annars så bodde de på stränderna uppe på land inte grunda vatten utan själva landet ja men hur kunde de röra sig jo de hade den sortens fenor att de hoppade på dem haha det måste ju ha varit en vidunderlig vikt hur orkade de orkade inte heller

Men de kunde tala med varann genom läten och viftningar det fanns många exempel på det får betraktas som säkert däremot kunde de inte tänka ihop med varann som vi kan och det finns många exempel på det med

När någon av dem föll i vattnet från ett skepp och började simma så visste inte alltid de andra av det utan seglade vidare så han var liksom avskuren ojdå till och med de korkade hajarna fick ofta veta det före landdelfinerna

Det hände nångång att man kunde lyfta och försöka bogsera dem i land och där låg de sen på stranden men de dog ofta på vägen

De hade svaga muskler de hade klent förstånd men vad de kunde bra det var att döda med olika sorters stänger och linor och knivar och krokar och spetsar och ljussken och knallar och så att vattnet trycktes ihom och klämde till från alla sidor man visste aldrig säkert var man hade dem.

Man kunde följa deras båtar i dagar och allt var lugnt och så med ens började de döda igen som rasande totalt oberäkneligt valar och fisk och varandra och fåglar.

Det är vad många tror nu för tiden att det är därför de har försvunnit man har inte hört talas om dem på mycket länge har ni kanske sett någon av dem nej inte sant inte jag och inte heller jag men en gamling som jag träffade när jag var liten hade varit med om

Ja det har man ju hört berättas

Om de stora åskvädren den gången det var för länge sen när alla vatten nästan fördärvades

Och sen dess har man inte sett till dem antagligen slog de ihjäl varann är det många som tror och så dog de ut lite synd för det kunde ha blivit nånting kanske fanns där ändå endel möjligheter

Kanske det ja det var landdelfinerna det ska vi simma till räkbankarna ett tag

It seems the jury is still out on Chris Brandon. He’s a local lad and a Bradford fan but has failed to make as big an impact as people expected, but what do you think?

If you really, honestly and completely, have nothing to do, go buy some apples, a needle and some string. Slice the apples as thinly as you can, thread them onto the string (making knots in between so the apples don’t slide together and hang up.

In two days, they’ll be done. They taste much better than they look, almost like candy!
