Le mois passé, l’Europe a accueilli la Coupe du monde de Baseball. Elle a été organisée dans plusieurs pays (Allemagne, République Tchèque…). La finale s’est jouée en Italie (pays européen le mieux classé au ranking mondial). Les USA étaient venus pour conserver leur titre… et ils ont réussi à reste Champions du monde en battant Cuba (leur énnemi de toujours) 10-5, le 27 septembre dernier.

Pour connaître tous les résultats, allez sur le site officiel de la Coupe du monde de Baseball 2009. Pas la peine de chercher trace de la Belgique, elle n’y était pas. Elle n’a jamais pris part à cette compétition d’ailleurs.

And that makes the fully packaged bulletin the sexiest (or laziest) option. All each website has to do is to pay and download packages from Omnisport.tv and upload it on their site where the consumer can view it.

Especially for websites without the expertise or in-house resources to produce the sports news or updates, Omnisport.tv could be their answer to generating content quickly and effortlessly to attract more eyeballs. With up to 10 updates per day (One update every two hours and 24 minutes), Omnisports.tv is probably the closest alternative to a 24-hour sports news broadcast. And let’s face it, how many 24-hour sports news broadcast are there in the world?

Omnisport.tv have different products for different platforms.

- iPod/MP4 podcast – 5 minutes fully produced

- Mobile TV – 20 minute mobile TV channel loop, 10 fully produced clips a day

- Internet streams – 10 fully produced clips a day (1-2 min each)

Nevertheless, there are drawbacks. Several websites or service providers will be uploading the exact same content for their viewers. Consumers will then be able to see that the content is not original and the website branding could lose its stick. And that’s the revolution in new media – the tides turn on the content providers – consumers can now choose what they want, and eliminate everything else. Gone are the days where producers have the power to decide what viewers should be interested in.

And that’s the issue here with Omnisport.tv. Is their one-size-fits-all package the answer to sports news broadcast consumption, or will the consumer continue to demand nothing more than what they’ve asked for ? (e.g. the highlights of Manchester United games or the latest updates on Formula One cars) Only time will tell…

Que fait un pilote de Formule 1 durant l’entre-saison? Euh chacun vaque à ses occupations. Pour Kimi Raikkonen, c’est tout trouvé. Il enfile les patins pour jouer au hockey sur glace. Pas si maldroit que ça le Finlandais sur la glace. D’un autre côté, c’est plutôt normal quand on a comme surnom Iceman. Simple divertissement ou alors Kimi chercherait-il à se reconvertir et à délaisser la Formule 1? Lui qui a perdu les faveurs du public et son titre de champion du monde… Je vous laisse apprécier
