Ophelia got a pug egg at the Wichita Pug Meetup last month. She held it in her mouth the whole car ride home.  When we got home though her sissy, Bella,  pulled it out of her mouth and tore the squeaker out of the toy and destoryed it.

Apparently Bella doesn’t like squeakers.

Ophelia was sad, and here is her sad face.

5th Place: Yogi the Pug, tongue hanging out the side almost to his knees.

4th Place: Pug tongue drinking water out of a wine glass. Very sophisticated!

3rd Place: Pug Mikey licking a million times a minute on a Pugsicle.

2nd Place: Ophelia curled up tongue drinking out of a sports water bottle.

1st Place: Bob the pug with the Worlds Longest Tongue.

The winners of the Mega Millions Lottery are a Illinois ticket from Moto Mart in Red Bud, Illinois, a Maryland ticket from 7-Eleven in Baltimore County, and a Kansas ticket from northeastern part of the state.

But for now they are resting up for the big game and having puppy dreams of victory for the Wildcats this week.

They both predict UK will win against Louisville.

And they aren’t the only ones with this prediction, so does Emma, the sea otter, seen here.

Their Daddy is UK’s biggest fan.

However, Bella has chewed up earrings, two charging cords that were luckily not plugged in, but were $20 each and also money about $10 worth.

Ophelia was like, “Mommy can I chew this up?….It looks so big and yummy!”

Bella was like, “Is this a trick? Please don’t take it away from me…please don’t.. my chewy.”

I think my dogs just drooled over their Humans Taste Like Chicken Crackers.

This little guy was saying “No don’t eat me, nnnnoooooo…..” Reminded me of the movie Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Here is a pug, who has a walk yelp.

Ophelia and Bella go nuts when I say Walk or Dog Park. This video shows how fast they will run to me to get ready for a walk.

She usually goes through all her tricks before I even ask, so she can get a treat as soon as possible.

Instead I made a sort of silent film stylish video with music on how Ophelia gets her treats by doing some tricks.

Bernie from my Wichita Pug Rescue News Story was even there.

Seven volunteers helped with the event, and a lot of people picked up applications to adopt these foster pugs

It broke my heart, what happened to this pug. There was a post saying Jack is doing better, and adjusting well. It took Ophelia a couple of weeks to adjust. She kept running into  walls and furniture.

She rarely does now, but every time she does it, it makes me so scared that she might hurt herself.

I’m thinking about doing a bake sale to help raise money for the Wichita Pug Rescue, who are also helping out those 32 neglected pugs.

Ophelia definitely needs this. I think she inhales her food. I never hear her chewing her food. Plus it helps out the Wichita Humane Society.

The non-profit organization is up to 72 pugs now in need of a home.

Wichita Pug Rescue works with Homeward Bound Pug Rescue and Adoption by finding foster parents to help take care of these pugs until they can find a permanent home.

     On Friday, our community was hit with a series of violent storms and tornadoes.  We were grilling out at Dinovite, enjoying the last day of our first hired employee (Diane Markesbery), who is leaving for Romania as a missionary for 5 years. 

    We ended up sitting in a dark ladies room lit by candles as we waited for the “storm” to pass.  When it was all over, we found out the tornado that ripped through our community, taking out homes, flipping semis and ultimately injuring and killing our neighbors and friends, missed us by a hair. 

It went through a subdivision within 1/4 mile of us, hit I-75 then cut north a bit and hit southern Kenton County, passing behind our building before moving on to Piner KY. 

   No one at Dinovite was hurt.  And we sustained no damages, incredibly.

Prior to hitting our area, several powerful tornadoes hit just west of us in Indiana and Ohio, destroying whole communities as it moved northeast. 

     This EF3 tornado was just one of several that hit a number of areas in the midwest and south almost simultaneously.
So many of the stories being told by the people who survived this horrible event involve families and their pets. Our local shelters are taking in dogs and cats, in an effort to reunite them with their families.

There is a need for pet food.

Dinovite will be donating money for pet food, as well as NubOnubs pet treats and DogOsuds pet shampoo to shelters and families. 

We are also taking donations through our website for this effort.

Bella got into cow tipping for a bit until we told her it wasn’t really a sport.

And Ophelia got into duck hunting until she found out ducks can quack back.

So cute! I’m thinking about getting a black pug, cause they are so darn cute.

For now a Pug Salt and Pepper shaker might be a little cheaper.

You can pull them apart, but they are magnetized.

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and the picture had one eye pugs.

Made me think of Ophelia.

My toilet was leaking from the bottom yesterday, and I called the repairman. He came over, and saw my one eye pug and he told me he had a one eye pug too. -It was like he was meant to be my repairman.

I hope this will help other one eye pug owners. I know a lot of the videos I saw about one eye pugs helped me out to cope.

I can’t believe they leave the poodle though. =(

I tried to keep it looking 80′s and put enough shots of Ophelia in it. Bella made it in though because well she follows her sissy around. I’m thinking of doing a rap video next with Ophelia rapping in it, but we shall see.
