I don’t know if “welcome” would be the perfect greeting because the main reason why I decided to put up a blog years ago is to share stories about my daily life. Well, I think web blogs were really made for that purpose. It just evolves as new technologies are born.

I consider blogs as digital versions of journals/diaries. The only difference is that you have the option to share your stories to the public through blogs. It’s a matter of choice to the blogger up to what extent of his/her life he/she wants to share to others.

As I mentioned, a blog is just like a digital version of a diary/journal. But a blog is open to the public, though you can keep some of your blog entries private. But primarily, people make blogs to share stories and opinions. And since it’s public I think that we bloggers should keep in mind to be responsible of what we put in our blogs.

On the other hand, I also think that our blog is our place where we can express our feelings and opinions. I mean, we can tell in our blogs how much we hate our bosses in our offices and don’t mind if someone from the office reads it. It’s how we feel and we want to express it through our blogs. They can’t ask us to delete or change a sentence just because they don’t like it. Anyway, they have an option to leave a comment. Haha.

Anyway, enough introduction. I can’t remember when was the last time I experienced a long weekend for this year. Ever since our systems administrator in the office resigned last February, I started to go to work on some holidays. And as far as I can remember, this is the first time I had a long weekend for this year. Well, it’s okay for me if I had to go to work today but I needed to prioritize first my health check up.

We had our Annual Physical Exam last August and unfortunately, I am still on “pending” after the results show that I needed to repeat my blood count, and my xray shows “fibrosis” in my left lung. Hmmm. Should this be confidential? Haha. Anyway, I actually feel good so I really don’t worry that much.

My mom and I watched the movie “One More Chance” this afternoon. Well I just hate watching love stories because it just give me ideas and imaginations. Haha. Anyway, the movie is good but not really great.

Anyway, I love my new theme in Gmail. (I replaced my  Ninja theme with this one!) This is so refreshing to the eyes.

It’s somehow perfect as I relive my “RowjieloGREEN” section in my blog. I am somehow inspired by GMA 7’s documentary “Planet Philippines”, though I haven’t watched it last Sunday. But hopefully they will release it on DVDs so I can get my copy.

Infused Indie, Punk and Dance never sounded so good.

I love music videos that aren’t about girls dancing around a set so they can screw the artist after shooting has finished. It is an art form, which is being mutilated by many artists who don’t utilise the medium constructively.

Bloc Party’s music video reminds me of my childhood with my cousin, making up dances and using a home made Ouija board. The young girls outfit is so cute. Maybe because it consists of grey, rose pink and white. I am gay for these colours right now.

I also love the way the woman looks in the white dress. So simple, yet beautiful. It reminds me of a vintage Halston gown.

Hello Treacle

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good print. The more vivacious the better, sometimes. Other times, I love the strength of a plain coloured silhouette. When I heard that the Halston fashion house was being revived, I was so overjoyed. Long have I starred at the green vintage ensemble at the V & A fashion collection.

Anong relasyon bang perfect? Meron ba? Mahirap bumuo nang relasyon, at hinde laging masaya, Lalo pa pag tumatagal… Hinde rin ganon madali intindihin kung nasasaktan ka na! Taon man ang bilangin minsan nawawala pa! Nothing is perfect, kahit ano pa gawin mo! Tama ang sakit sakit!  Binigay mo na ang panahon mo para sa kanya,  ang sasabihin lang sa iyo I am sorry! Ganon na lamang ba yon? Sana hinde mo na sinabi yung I am sorry… Ang sagot mo na lang bakit. Sabihin mo naman sa akin… at walang masagot! Itatapon mo na lang ba ang lahat? Hinde mo ba inisip iyon… Reality bites!  Siguro madali itong sabihin kung pareho kayong hinde nag mamahal sa isa’t isa. Pero paano kung ang isa eh mahal na mahal ka pa?  Ganon na lamang ba mag paliwanag at tangapin mo ang lahat? Sana maisip mo naman kung gaano kita ka mahal… Gaano kita binigyan nang importasya, paano ko inalagaan ang relasyon natin, at lahat para sa iyo.  Ngayon iiwan mo ako mag isa…  Dapat pa ba kitang hintayin? Hangang kailan kita makakalimutan? Ganon na lang ba turuan ang puso ko na dapat hinde na kita mahalin? Di ba masaya tayo, pero bakit naging ganito? Taon ang binuo, at isang araw mo lang sasabihin sa akin na hinde na pwede tayo maging tayo… Sana di mo ako tinuruan na mahalin ka…Ano bang dapat kong gawin para mahalin mo ako muli? So the guy I wanted to be with in September at uni, has decided, after I went to see him for a week & he was ALL over me, that he doesn’t want me now. He’s my ex & his friends & family have convinced him that he would be a ‘mug’ to get back with me. Oh, and he told me this by sending me a picture message of him sticking up his finger. Mature eh? Can I just mention too, that I’m not an awful girlfriend. We had a few arguements, but who doesn’t? He wants someone to adore him & please him in every way possible at all times. Things just don’t work like that.

 I’ve spent the last few months trying to fix us. & I actually believed we were going to be okay. But in all honestly, I’m sick of trying now. & for him to blow me off in that way, is just totally unforgivable. I think he believes that I still want him back after that, which amuses me.  He’s caused me nothing but stress for about 2/3 months now. I’m over it.

So my life has changed a little bit now, I’m glad for it. I can concentrate on myself & it’s really what I need for my last year of uni. I’ll have no annoying distractions.

My replacement for my Nikon D70 arrived today, a Nikon D100. The focus had messed up on the D70. It’s alright, but my gosh, RAW files are a bitch on it. It’s dead slow at processing them to the card. I might have to get it updated and all that jazz. But, at least I have a fully working camera for my shoot next week. A close friend of mine is doing the modelling & we’re borrowing some very fancy wedding dresses. Oshh. I’m excited about it. I’ll blog about it next week when I’ve done the editing.

I’m gonna leave you with a song I’m in love with. One More Chance by Bloc Party. I haven’t been so excited over a song for a LONG time. It used to have more meaning, but not now. It’s just an awesome song!

Nach ihrem auslaufenden Vertrag haben die Jungs von Bloc Party noch keine konkreten Pläne für ihre Zukunft. In einem Interview mit dem NNE sagten sie: “Wir wissen nicht was die Zukunft bringt.” Bisher hat die Band nur angekündigt ihre aktuelle Tour zu Ende zu machen und dann ihre neue Single “One More Chance” im August zu promoten. Frontmann Kele Okereke sagte:

“It’s weird, we’re out of contract now so… we might take a year off, we might take three years off…. we might never make a record again or we might head straight back in and do a record. We’ll see how we feel come the end of this touring cycle.”

Após uma apresentação, nada agradavel, no VMB do ano passado, uma apresentação “politicamente correta” no festival Planeta terra e uma apresentação calorosa no Rio de Janeiro, o grupo anda dividindo opiniões aqui no Brasil. E por isso a banda antecipa seu novo video/single da dançante ‘One More Chance’ tentando assim trazer seus fãs do excelente ”Silent Alarm” de 2005.  O video está previsto pra ser lançado oficialmente dia 10 de agosto. Por isso, confiram e comentem.

Looks like my favorite band is back at it again! I remember when I first heard these mates on a cd and then I was like, “Wait, I’ve heard that song before” Yup subliminal stuff. Their song Helicopter has been played many many times before on FIFA 2006 in the background when picking your teams. I love how video games (not that I play much anymore) use up-and-coming artists in their games. Well the good ones anyway. Its a great  way for them to break new ground. Sorry, I tend to digress. But what I really like about this video is the guy on the keyboard in the beginning and also the Ouija board. Never really had the guts to try and play a real Ouija game but let me know if anyone wants a go at it… Now and forever, I love Bloc Party!
