Aug 31 Blue Moon at 8 Pisces 34, 6:58 AM Pacific!

The 2nd Full Moon in a month is called a Blue Moon by many. This Blue Moon will be complicated, forming combinations with 5 planets!

The opposition with the Sun is what a Full Moon is! This one is Virgo/Pisces, Earth & Water. Virgo is daily affairs. Pisces is the mystic music between every interval, the nuance, a psychic knowing, magical images and dreams, beliefs without proof.

Mars and Pluto form trines and sextiles between them, some call that a Bow pattern. Mars inspires, takes action, acts as a liaison between routine and miracle in this instance. If Pisces is too laid back, Mars says if you believe it, let’s do it. If Virgo gets too stuck in routine, Mars invites them out to play! Pluto likes the solitude of Pisces, is interested in matters of what makes the Universe tick, to have an inside track. Pluto can see the financial value in the dreams of Pisces and with the Virgo accountant, can take it to the bank! Sun trine Pluto is the number 1 US corporate wealth aspect! If it comes from the heart, the Light, there is fusion! It’s a dynamo that can’t be beat! The Sun puts Light on dark places Pluto didn’t even realize the power of. Pluto has instinctual power to bring things forth, to rise up, intensify to singularity, make it one in a million!

Moon herself is just one degree past Chiron the Healer/Teacher. Mama Moon in Pisces senses every hurt, from physical to psyche and Spirit. First, making you comfortable let’s you relax, let in the healing, let go the wound, even for scar tissues and clouded Spirit to be released. Clarity comes, a rebuilding of strength occurs, amended and matured. The Teacher in you appears as you share your experience, help others walk through theirs. Moon remembers, both from this lifetime and others, her own stories, and of the Souls of others, weaving a fine pattern, intricate and magnificent.

Last, Uranus is in the mix, semisextile Mama Moon, inconjunct Father Sun, calling for adjustment, spreading the fan of awareness. Sometimes we are so perfectly alone, just pure Being. Other times we are all One, another myself. Change is Evolution, inevitable through time. Freedom is essential, yet often achieved when we link with others, a powerful wave front, might in multitudes!

May your Blue Moon take you across time and space, open the Doors to Beyond!

Sep 15 New Moon 23 Virgo 34, at 7:11 PM Pacific

The New Moon degrees don’t link strongly with any other planets this time. In general, as a New Moon, there is the natural finishing and beginning of the monthly lunar cycle. This one will be concerned with the workplace, children at home, schooling, health, managing finances. It will challenge the Mutable Cross signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. Favorable trines will be formed to other Earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn, and positive sextiles to Water signs Cancer and Scorpio. Those of you born about the 11th to the 14th of the month and/or with planets from 21 to 24 degrees will find yourselves most affected.

May 13, Mother’s Day, our Earth Grand Trine/Kite!

Mother’s Day 2012 Earth Grand Trine/Kite!

There are SIX planets from 7 to 9 degrees, Mars-Pluto-Mercury making the Grand Trine – see the blue triangle?! Mars and Pluto have an affinity, Mars having been the old ruler of Scorpio, Pluto the current ruler. Mars is considered the frontline warrior, Pluto is the behind-the-scenes Ninja! Mercury guides with mind over matter, perceptive, thoughtful, making connections. In Earth signs we are talking true values, items worthy of purchase to keep. Mercury in Taurus pays patient undivided attention, not missing a moment. Mars in Virgo carefully hammers out an intricate, well detailed craft. Pluto in Capricorn acquires building materials at the best prices, makes sure the best buyers are alerted to the exciting new product that will last forever, yet can be modified as needed, can be recycled, even reused, if necessary. They are all builders in their own way. From the soil building Taurus farm, to the Virgo Farmers’ Market building healthy bodies and minds, to the Capricorn sustainable presentation, the scaffold, structure to last a lifetime. In relationships, it is Taurus gratitude, the love touch, to Virgo daily care, noticing the finest qualities of your Mate, to Capricorn respect, and encouragement to go for that best job, your life work! Take up some exercise that really makes you feel good, that you don’t even mind doing.

At 8 PM Pacific, Mama Moon conjuncts Chiron in Pisces at the Kite point opposing Mars. (The long red lines verically across the chart.) Pisces is super sensitive, and the Moon has feelings. Mars has quick reactions, and in Virgo can be a bit grumpy if things aren’t done ‘right’ or the present wasn’t what was hoped for or expected. Earthy gifts, living plants, a tree, things you made yourself, may be the perfect gift! Plan your Mother’s Day celebrations for early afternoon perhaps? Go easy in the evening. Say ‘Thank you!’ first, sleep on it, talk it over the next day if you still feel the same way.

The Grand Trine chart also includes the annual Sun/Jupiter conjunction, this year at 23 degrees Taurus! It happens to semisextile Venus, Taurus’ ruler, also at 23! I have found semisextiles to be majorly lucky financially when they are with either Sun or Jupiter, and this time it’s both! Plus, Sun/Jupiter together is wonderful all by itself - a sense of well being, generosity, good intentions, good luck, even fame! Jupiter and the Sun are both thought of as radiant vitality, excellent health! Jupiter expands, is growth, especially in Taurus, a sign of growing! Sometimes it’s too much of a good thing, like when Jupiter decides to tell the whole Truth about you, or the groupies are overwhelming. :) There’s an instant dose of the perspective Jupiter (ruler of Sagittarius) is famous for. Travel may be on your mind, or university, traveling in your mind, church and ethics. Give your financial ideas an airing. Be cautious about being opinionated; listen carefully and as openly as you can to people who are. Enjoy yourself, go gently with others, have hope, plan your future, live a principled life!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Also, Jupiter will be inconjunct Saturn! Please see below….

May 15 Venus Retrograde starts!

It includes the Venus Transit Sun, Jupiter in Gemini follows and links back to the Venus Transit Sun in Sept and Oct, and finally on Earth Day 2013! Read all about it!

May 16 Jupiter Taurus Inconjunct Saturn Libra

This is the only inconjuct between Jupiter and Saturn in the signs Taurus/Libra, 23 degrees 59 minutes. There are two to come, but they will then be in 2013 in Gemini/Scorpio. Jupiter and Saturn have opposite features. Jupiter, Sagittarius’ planet, likes to play, run away, expand, spin stories. Not Saturn, Capricorn’s planet. Work, responsibility, conserve, data – facts and figures. Jupiter is making a call of adjustment to Saturn. Balance a little play time, get away time, with what needs to be done, paying the rent. When you do a seminar, take a couple more days to visit family, see something special, broaden your perspectives. Get out of the shadow, stretch, look over the fence. Pick up the tempo. Another way to look at it is to let solid faith stabilize a fearful relationship. Speak the whole truth, remember why a choice was made, the goodness in it, and see if that is still there. Modify your opinions for the long-term gain. If that means letting go, go in peace, make amends if you need to redeem yourself. Good karma now means not having to do payback later.

Jupiter is in Taurus, Saturn is in Libra. Taurus and Libra are both Venus signs. Taurus is more body beautiful, personal spending money, personal touch, massage, sculpting, the land our feet is on. Libra’s currency is the relationships, partnerships, liaisons it makes, can be culture to culture, beauty in all ways, but particularly, fine arts! Taurus says take care of your own, be the grounded founder, steady in the Light. Don’t lose yourself in pleasing others. You have organic value just the way you are, elemental. Libra says dress up a bit, come meet others and open the doors to sharing and joining forces. There’s more! Jupiter in Taurus is asking us to expand the earthy common sense, stabilize your solid base. Saturn in Libra says you can’t do it all alone, there is a necessity, time wise, specialty wise, to make it work in partnership, one contributing what the other can’t, or it’s time to select partners more wisely, in view of the return on the connection, and the long-term.

Make your choices count. There IS a tipping point.

The sad news came in this evening, Feb 11, 2012, Whitney Houston, extraordinary woman, singer, has passed at 48. My heart is sad at her difficult times and now her passing.

Whitney Houston, August 9, 1963 Leo

For those of you interested in the Astro*Logical charts, we do have her birth time, so her birth chart is accurate. She was an Aug 9 Sun/Venus Leo with Moon/Jupiter in Aries, Pisces Ascendant. Sun/Venus is beauty and blessings, self esteem issues, indulgences. Moon/Jupiter Aries can go a long way from home, have fame for being the first, #1, a leader. Pisces is an artist, a musician.

Written in Wikipedia, one of her accomplishments was ‘In October 1994, Houston attended and performed at a state dinner in the White House honoring newly elected South African president Nelson Mandela. At the end of her world tour, Houston performed three concerts in South Africa to honor President Mandela, playing to over 200,000 people. This would make the singer the first major musician to visit the newly unified and apartheid free nation following Mandela’s winning election. The concert was broadcast live on HBO with funds of the concerts being donated to various charities in South Africa. The event was considered the nation’s “biggest media event since the inauguration of Nelson Mandela.” Please see her natal chart below.’

Whitney Houston, August 9, 1963, Newark NJ, 8:55 PM

Technical note: Whitney’s death was recorded as at 4 PM after 20 minutes of CPR. She was found unresponsive at 3:30 PM, having been in the bathroom for over an hour. Her death occurred sometime in that previous hour. In the chart below, I used the mid of that hour, 3 PM, for her death chart, to see the possibilities. No matter what time you use, from 2:30 to 3:30, the death chart is Cancer/Capricorn Ascendant/Descendant, with Sun in its’ 8th house. Sun 8 is commonly death at one’s own doing.

Whitney Houston's AstroLogical Birth and Death Charts

At this time of her passing, there are two exact to-the-degree major difficult aspects formed by outer Planets. Outer planet events have long-term meaning and effect. 1) Pluto, planet of Death, is squaring her natal Mars, life force, in Libra, in her Libra house. Choices could have been out of balance, an impetuous slip made, perhaps a loss of attention mattered. It was speculated she ODed after several days of intense partying. More will come to light in the following days.

2) In the second outer planet hard aspect, Chiron in Pisces is within 6 minutes, just a fraction of a degree from opposition her Uranus, and very close to her Ascendant from the 12th house of passing of the Spirit. In old mythology, Chiron is the wounded healer/teacher. Uranus is sudden change, in this case, in her health house, in the health sign Virgo. She may have been feeling a loss of friendships as well. And transiting Uranus was inconjunct her natal Uranus, the planet of friendships and community, but also supreme lonliness at times. In so many ways, Whitney was like rarified air – her race, her voice, her fame. There’s just not that many people to talk with at that level, and the ones you know, know you too well.

Dramatically, the Moon is 16 Libra, opposite Whitney’s natal Moon at 17 Aries, Jupiter 19 Aries. It was kind of like a ‘Full Moon’ of Moons. She could have felt her luck had run out, that the Self she most wanted to be was lost, unconnected. Sometimes Lunar disturbances make us lose our memory. Perhaps she didn’t think of her child or she thought her child would never love her the way she wanted to be loved by her child, or her child didn’t need her anymore and would be ok. And, there are times when chemical collisions and certain feelings are more than the rational mind can contain. We don’t think at all.

There are some very beautiful aspects. Pluto in Capricorn, and Jupiter in Taurus, are making a Grand Earth Trine with her Uranus/Mercury/Pluto stellium in Virgo! Uranus, apparently is the key, being in both the difficult aspect, and tying to the favorable Grand Trine as well. Uranus/Mercury indicate her unique voice, exquisite singing. Pluto adds a control and perfection to the point of enchantment. Simply, she was extraordinary. These current aspects will probably make her more famous, her legacy strengthened, her estate will make money.

She was both a strong woman, regally surpassing expectations, and had the exquisite touch of a feather. May she rest lightly.

Cardinal Grand Square – Mercury to Uranus/Pluto/Saturn with Mars Square Neptune!

Father’s Day this year will really be a 4 day affair, the 17th through the 21st, with emphasis on communication! Mercury in Cancer will make three challenging aspects over those days. It starts with a shake up, open-the-gates square to Uranus in Aries, midday the 18th. That’s a mind changer, free-thinker, alone or together, wants different, I’ll tell you one better than that! It is concerned about the monies of a career or business. Caution on contracts with friends.

Midday Father’s Day, June 19, Mercury opposes Pluto in Capricorn. Intimacy, sharing of secrets, could be unsettling, bring a surprise closeness, revelations about parents’ relationships or mates, even friends. Money matters. Loans, grants, funding may seem out of reach, yet, the connection is there to follow. The past is the past. Let it go if it makes sense. Forgiving doesn’t mean you have to forget or leave yourself unguarded. Do be careful with what you say and in front of whom. When in doubt, don’t, is a good way not to get into something you never meant to happen. Sometimes repairs, amends, are possible, other times, not. Be very gentle.

Midday June 21, Summer Solstice, Mercury squares Saturn in Libra. This finishes the set. Now there have been a few days to mull things over, this aspect becomes important because Saturn rules Fathers!!! Mercury wants to talk. Will that be ok? Are all parties ready? This calls for respect in every direction. Brittle and rigid don’t work well. Panic defenses need to be set aside. Deep breath. Keep the installments short with plenty of time outs. Make a commitment to carry on in a short time after the adrenaline has settled. Don’t let fears amplify while you keep someone waiting.

Some very beautiful progress can be made here, unraveling long-standing issues. What’s most at stake is the way you all talk about things. Respect, open heartedness. Bumbles will be made. We are all learning. Parents too.

All these days, Mars in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces, also exact on Summer Solstice! Mars is the Aries planet of war, but also inspiration and leadership. Neptune is the God of the Sea, from rock-me-in-the-cradle waves to tsunamis! Push kindly for what you want, don’t swamp the ship!

See June 18 to 21 below for more perspective about this aspect set.

Please do have a most precious Father’s Day! I would love to hear your stories how this unfolded for you and your loved ones!

North American observers can see it the afternoon of June 5, 2012 I’m writing to you well in advance

North American observers can see it the afternoon of June 5, 2012

I’m writing to you well in advance about this event because I think it is important and it precedes the 2012 Mayan calendar event by only a few months. I am wanting you to hold it in your consciousness, every day be readying yourself for it, put it in your practice. Be thinking how you can get others ready. If I could, I would have you see it as sort of like a Soul bath. You would lay in your lawn chair, facing the Sun, and vision yourself soaking up everything there is to receive, being bathed in loving Light. You don’t even have to know what that is. I believe it will come. Clean your receptors, open your heart. Those of you who know astrology, study how it will be placed in your chart. I’m starting to talk about it with every client.

Venus Transits come in pairs spaced eight years apart, but the time between pairs is 122 years, then 105 years. Due to this pattern, only six Venus transits have been seen since the invention of the telescope. The 2004 Venus Transit was the first of our latest pair. Before that, the most recent transit had been in 1882—which means no living people on Earth had seen a Venus transit when the 2004 event occurred. Some speculate this rare Transit was one of the reasons the Mayans chose 2012 as their 26,000 year cycle end/start date.

The Venus eclipses have been in the first 15 degrees of Gemini and Sagittarius since 60 AD! The previous June 8, 2004 Venus Transit was at 17 Gemini, square Jupiter, widely square Moon/Uranus, trine Neptune and opposite Pluto (a loose Mutable Grand Cross involving 7 planets). Mutable signs call for diversity, adaptability. The Gemini/Sagittarius axis is mind and meaning, communications near and far, from here to the University. The Virgo/Pisces axis is service and devotion, working hard and dreamtime magic, healers of body and Soul.

This Venus retrograde conjuncts/eclipses the Sun at 15 degrees airy space-in-the-mind Gemini, both of them square Mars at 16 degrees get-the-job-done Virgo. Venus in Gemini is loving communications, appreciations, expressing affection, valuing diversity of thinking. Square Mars in Virgo calls for that desire being thought about to be put into action, to break through from pleasure to leadership on a daily basis. Virgo tends the fort, wants all to be healthy, not too much sugar! Jupiter is at 28 degrees, finishing Taurus about to enter Gemini, just one degree from the Pleiades. Mercury is at 27 Gemini, in a one degree semi sextile with this Jupiter. There will be a lot to say, some of it profound, about the goings on, because this 27 Gemini position is powerfully positioned exactly opposite the GALACTIC CENTER, downloading the information to the people! This is important because the Mayan Calendar turnover at the Sacred Tree, Crossroads of Dec 21, 2012, occurs only 6 degrees from the Galactic Center! The Moon is conjunct Pluto, sextile Chiron, square Uranus. This Moon position highlights Pluto; Pluto at this degree becomes part of the Jupiter three planet 8 degree YOD in the Dec 21, 2012 Mayan Calendar turnover! All will not go as planned, surprises in the offing, some left behind, inevitable deep-rooted change due to fathers, sadly, something to ‘weep’ about, a longed for professional matter at stake. Some things, though much talked about, must be done alone, yet profoundly affect our mates, or we are affected by them….

Venus Transit chart, June 5, 2012, 5:09 PM Pacific, Santa Barbara CA

Due to the huge size difference, no way can Venus ‘eclipse’ the Sun – we call it a Venus Transit. In images it is a mere black dot in a sea of yellow fire as it crosses the face of the Sun! I think of it as a voyage, pilgrimage, a rite of passage, across this magnificent space being. It is a merger, an immersion, being imbued, saturated, infused, with the brightest Light our Solar System, our neighborhood in the galaxy, has to offer! And it is lined right up with US! Whew! This is the Kleig Light of Heaven, from our Heart of Light, transmitted, telegraphed, filtered, amped, a direct shot! Do you think flowers in bloom at that time will have more powerful pollen, seeds, essences?! Not one pore of Venus will be left untouched. If your love went cold, those with planets touched by this aspect, will be warmed right back up, solar charged! You may feel you have plenty to give, more than ever! Venus matters ‘enlightened’ will involve beauty, the arts, money, attractiveness, our values, love, kindness, graciousness, giving. Perhaps you will be ‘weeping’ for JOY!

In Gemini, the Word, all those matters will be spoken of, listened for, written up! Start your blog! Multifaceted ideas will spring forth, diversity rules! Marketing and advertising will be blessed with connecting people who love what is being sold. Contracts will be better for all involved. How we learn, pay attention, will improve, education be more cherished. Learning a second language will be more valuable not only to improve memory, but to make special connections with people that used to be out of reach. Touch healing, massage will flourish. Sports like tennis, running, may make new records! Very true, it’s not what you say, but how you say it. Words of praise and appreciation make all the difference. Love formula – 5 praise to 1 criticism. What we think – what we focus our attention on, how we think – half full/half empty, matters. Profoundly.

Venus rules first Taurus, Earth, then Libra, Air. Taurus has a sensual beauty, rules celebrities and common sense, the monies at hand, the sitting Buddha, Earth, our self esteem. Libra rules classic beauty, the fine arts, etiquette, Kwan Yin, balance, our adult peer relationships, marriage, how we see our value among our peers, legal proceedings. We all have both signs in our charts. Find out where they are in your chart, then read the Venus Transit into those houses, and which house the exact Transit is in, to see what and where you personally are activated.

Those of you with birthdates from the 2nd to the 8th of the month, and/or have planets from 12 to 19 degrees of any sign, will be the most affected by the Venus Transit. Most air and fire signs will be comfortable with it, may flourish. Other mutable signs, Virgo and Pisces at square, Sagittarius opposite, may be put off by all the ‘meaningless’ chit chat, may not even hear of it, or be surprised by, perhaps at first annoyed by, new ideas that seemed hidden! Earth signs want to keep their routine, but there will surely be disruptions. Water signs, though intrigued, may duck under to see what is happening below the surface and to rest their ears.

A client asked me …will all these changes be for the good? In some ways the World is already better as people seek new solutions (energy production, government). Any change proves there CAN be change. With a lot of old world regimes toppling, there will be chaos and clumsy reform that may take years to settle. That’s normal. Change of such magnitude takes time. Flooding with education and information (Gemini) are imperative. Giving alternate solutions gives choice (Gemini). Some of those people have been ‘asleep’ for a long time. Breaking with tradition and psychological habit is scary. So change itself, though a relief for some, is part of what can stall the very things it is looking toward. Encouragement and less poverty, the ability to provide for themselves, create a security base that allow the luxury of a more positive choice. One of the maxims of natural cycles is it is always darkest before the Light. Now is the time to stay steady – get us through and beyond the chrysalis of this stage. Though a chrysalis is a hardened shell, to protect the pupa of the butterfly, it is often seen twitching with life when touched….

This Venus Transit comes before the Dec 21, Winter Solstice, 2012 Mayan calendar end/turnover, giving us LOVE first to cap the final achievements. We finish the final days before the Calendar ends with more GRACE. This sets the foundation for a sweeter start of the next cycle, the BLESSINGS to come in the new times!

Let love light the dark way, return to the Light, see the Light. Merge with, emerge from, the Heart of Light, it’s a free ride! Reverence to all Beings. Namaste. Or as the Mayans say, “In Lak’ech” – I am Another Yourself [Gemini, the Twins].

Sathya Sai Baba is gone, tornadoes came to Alabama, William & Kate had their Royal Wedding, and the beatification of John Paul II happened!

Bin Laden’s assassination has brought extremes of thinking and further stirred an already boiling world-wide pot! Pluto in Capricorn has brought changes in long time regimes, and isn’t quitting. Though bin Laden didn’t ‘rule’ for a long time, he made world-wide impact as being thought to be the power behind the 911 attack, being so immune to capture, and simply being tall among men, confirmed 6′ 4″ tall. Uranus, planet of surprises, in fiery Aries, is coming closer and closer into its square (challenge) with Pluto, of death and healing, and will continue to be in this square until Mar 16, 2015, making 7 exact aspects! This aspect will continue to topple governments and powerful leaders. And, the Phoenix will rise from its own ashes.

Deciphering the moment of death is a challenge in this kind of situation. LivingMoonAstrology.com says ‘The American commando stormed the suburban home where Bin Laden was living on May 2, 2011, at around 1 am local time, according to a witness [Sohaib Athar] twitting the events in real time.’ Wikipedia says ‘ At approximately 1:00 a.m. local time (20:00, May 1 UTC), the SEALs breached the compound’s walls using explosives and attacked the compound’s structures and the compound’s guards opened fire.’ Also, ‘”The encounter with bin Laden lasted only seconds,” according to Politico, and took place during “the last five or 10 minutes” of the raid.’ CNN reported ‘A firefight was under way for most of the 40 [38] minutes that U.S. Special Operations forces were in the compound, as the team encountered resistance from bin Laden and three other men, a senior defense official said. The official said the forces had to fight their way through the first floor of the three-story building, where two adult males lived. Bin Laden and his family lived on the second and third floors, and they were cleared last, with bin Laden killed in the last five or 10 minutes of the siege, the official said.’ But, the HeraldNews.SunTime.com says ’But bin Laden refused to give himself up. That’s when he was shot in a bedroom — only minutes into the raid — ending a 10-year manhunt.’ Wiki further says ‘The raid was intended to take 30 minutes. All told, the time between the team’s entry in and exit from the compound was 38 minutes. Time in the compound was split into exchanging gunfire with the defenders and searching the compound for information.’

Maybe it took them 10 minutes to have his wife ID him, do the photo ID comparisons, body bag him and transport him to the helicopter and leave? That puts us back to 1:28 AM. I put up a chart for May 2, 2011, at 1:28 AM in Abbottabud, Pakistan.

Death of Osama bin Laden Astrology Chart

Bin Laden’s death chart Moon is at 25 Aries. It connects with 4 factors in bin Laden’s Mar 10, 1957 sunrise birth chart [birth time unknown]. 1) It same degree semi sextiles his sunrise Mars (with South Node) at 25 Taurus – didn’t surrender. Mars is the planet of Aries, so this is a stronger semi sextile than usual. 2) The Moon trines his Pluto at 28 Leo, forming a Grand Trine – smooth flowing, with the Galactic Center at 27 Sagittarius! He was a man connected with the destinies of nations, even when he was in a cave! Perhaps it was good it went quickly. I think there will be more to the story in time. Perhaps good will come of it in as yet unforeseeable ways. 3) It inconjuncts his Jupiter 27 Virgo that squares the Galactic Center, schisms between religions, family and funerals – he was hated by many, ‘buried’ at sea, and his son was killed. 4) It sextiles his sunrise Moon 27 Gemini, which was opposite the Galactic Center. It was through his courier, Gemini, to his home, Moon, that revealed his location. In some charts the Moon rules the People, in others it is the women and children, your family and home. Certainly, we are hearing amazing points of view about the event. The Moon is a fast moving factor, so it wouldn’t be expected, but in both charts, the Royal Wedding and this one, the Moons are connected with the Galactic Center, making international news. Both of these events then, are connected with the Mayan Sacred Tree/Crossroads of Dec 21, 2012 calendar end/turnover, since the Sacred Tree center occurs only 6 degrees of the Galactic Center!

The six planet Aries stellium is formidable. This is not a peacemaking combination, but a charging war! Osama was shot twice, and it was done. The whole operation took only 38 minutes. The Aries Moon is Void of Course like in William & Kate’s Royal Wedding chart! Astrologers would rarely choose a VOC Moon for an event, yet here again, we have a successful enterprise. None of the horary astrology ’exception’ rules apply to this chart as they did in William & Kate’s, but six planets in Aries?! That could ram through just about anything! And once a Taurus gets moving…. True, there is the other Void of Course caveat. Compared to ‘nothing will come of it’ – that would be good if there are no further attacks/retaliations on America, ‘there’s nothing to stop it’ was exactly what happened! Perhaps it’s a bit like the retrograde rule – if you are experienced with a matter, you will usually succeed during a retrograde.

Specifically, Mars doubly powerful in its own sign, conjunct lucky Jupiter, is like a powerhouse! Mars is fast, fervent, focused, loves machines and weapons and fights, is especially courageous if the underdog. They did lose that helicopter though. Uranus of flight in a breaking square with Pluto endings. Then they killed the helicopter with an explosion, Uranus, to obliterate it for security reasons, Pluto and Pluto. That Mars/Jupiter conjunction in Aries has only happened two times before since 1900, Jan 6, 1940, and June 16, 1975. This one was the day after the Royal Wedding, and the day of bin Laden’s assassination!

The Sun is at 11 degrees Taurus, in a life force breaking square with the Ascendant 15 degrees Aquarius. In a manner, the bird is set free. Taurus may be too slow and low in the chart to recover from this rift in the organization. The Royal Wedding chart Sun also squares the Ascendant but in different signs! The Ascendant/Descendants are reversed! Theirs is 5 Leo Ascending while bin Laden’s death chart is 15 Aquarius Ascending. I said, ‘With the Sun square the Ascendant, how you appear to others, they may not always look good.’ The Sun is leaving the sextile with Chiron, marriage, and the trine with Pluto, wealth. No more. And the Sun has moved up to inconjunct Saturn, another kind of life force weakening/breaking aspect, often not good for your health. I said, ‘Sun inconjunct Saturn, can be sad news at times.’

Venus and Mercury have moved just beyond the opposition with Saturn in Libra that was in the Royal Wedding chart making communications an issue, or perhaps creating and keeping a bridge of connection. In this case it is good there was no connection; he never saw them coming! Mercury has moved into conjunction with Jupiter, so the news is BIG!

Why the burial at sea? Neptune the planet of the sea is in its own sign Pisces now, the sign of the sea. 29 Pisces is on the 2nd cusp, the part of the chart that has to do with one’s body. 29 Pisces is the last degree of the last sign of the Zodiac, conjunct the 7 Weeping Sisters, the Pleiades. The End. Osama, himself a Pisces, has gone ‘home.’ Saturn is in the 8th of death, and rules the 12th of end of Spirit. The usual options were blocked. The ritual performed was probably the best they could do to show respect to a formidable warrior, stop further damage. Pluto in Capricorn, Saturn’s sign, suggests a death of necessity, to end the past with a significant message. Perhaps enough time has passed that he won’t be made a martyr.

Wishing you peace and healing no matter what your circumstances are. I had a friend who was in the towers, survived 911, but her Spirit was struck. I pray, in time, losses and revenge will dissolve to forgiveness. Blessed be.

Uranus square Pluto is starting, now 5 degrees in orb. That will keep things shaking! Oops, maybe

Uranus square Pluto is starting, now 5 degrees in orb. That will keep things shaking! Oops, maybe I shouldn’t say that. Uranus in Aries is the rebellious young upstart compared to the wizened Pluto burrowing the depths of corporate Capricorn. Yet Pluto is associated with journalism, follows the money, a trouble maker of a different ilk. Power will be questioned. Put them together and things that were thought to be impermeable may be disturbed at the deepest foundations, shaken to thunder! Long standing old schools will have cracks in their armor, new conduits able to be begun. Some will fall of their own finished weight, to be replaced for better benefit, or simply let go – no need to go further, job done. Strange and wonderful new alliances will be tried and some will work and break through to whole new types of community models, building codes, laws. Businesses once thought to be ridiculous will begin to prove themselves as the needs of the times and hidden technology comes to light to make them feasible. Those who ride the snorty horse will fly! Let those pawing hooves make fiery sparks!

Another take on Uranus into Aries, square Pluto. This aspect is unique because it happens 7 times! It will be exact for the first time June 23, 2012, finishing Mar 17, 2015, in effect for five years!

I wrote the above with no thought of the Royal Wedding, William & Kate, in mind. Yet this is the most powerful aspect of the out most planets, longest in duration, in their wedding chart. It will always be in their wedding chart, but the actual aspect in the sky will culminate Mar 17, 2015. At that point it shall have made 7 exact connections at varying but close degrees. If their marriage is surviving at that time, they will probably make it. So much is being said about how their marriage is giving hope in hard economic times and following the years of sadnesses around Charles, Diana, and Camilla. Perhaps this symbolizes breaking through old patterns of the monarchy, British financial reform.

Some are using the 11 AM start of the wedding for the wedding chart; I am using the 11:20 AM pronouncement moment – the intent of the event before your peers. If you really want to get technical about it, use the chart when the last person signed the papers for official records after the ceremony. The 11 AM chart has Venus of love and beauty at the top of the chart, and the wedding did start on time, and was a lovely ceremony that went off without a hitch though William did have a hard time getting the ring on Kate’s finger (Saturn opposite Mercury).

Royal Wedding Chart, Prince William & Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge

The most unique feature of the wedding chart is that simplistically, the Moon is Void of Course in Pisces square the Galactic Center. Void of Course, VOC, is the time period from when the Moon makes its last connection with any planet and the time it enters a new sign. There are extreme opposing points of view of what this period brings. The traditional view is nothing will come of it, it won’t come out as expected, somewhat unpredictable. This is great if your question is ‘Will I go to jail?’! Rarely would a VOC Moon be chosen for a wedding chart. Since the Moon has directly to do with fertility and a royal heir is usually wanted, this would be doubly so in this case. It is said, ‘…the moon relating to the mother, will give a mother who was ‘not there’ so to speak. she may not have been there physically, emotionally, or she may have been even neglectful.’ Will’s mother Diana, ‘not there,’ is an important facet of their lives together. The other view is there is nothing to stop it, nothing to stand in its way. Hilary Clinton’s Moon (women) is VOC in Pisces in her 10th house of career and authority! First Lady. There are exceptions to the VOC rule, and this chart has them. The Moon is said to ‘perform’ in Pisces – Pisces lives to osmose! When it changes signs it will conjunct Uranus at 2 degrees Aries - free to act! Mercury and Jupiter are in an angular house, the 10th - a place determined to accomplish. Jupiter with Mars is lucky to act! How to resist?!!!

Still, as compelling as those aspects are, organically, the Moon, back at 26 degrees, four to go to change Signs, I would give the VOC read precedence, attending to reading the Moon for herself. Pisces does move, but it can be ever so cleverly quietly, miniscule motion, practically invisible. The VOC Moon is like a pause. Preceding matters have been concluded, we’re in the done-deal zone, with perhaps a sense that it was all fated. This is like a thoughtful, perhaps resting, reset period, in internal adjustment readying for the next Sign, the Gateway. It is a step in a process. A chart with lots of upcoming Lunar aspects in a Sign has many unfolding options, a rich future if favorable, is busy. In traditional successful wedding charts, the Moon is chosen to be in trine or sextile with the Sun, Mother and Father, the Lights in harmony for fertility, full of life! This chart has no upcoming Lunar aspects, no classic Sun/Moon, male/female connection.

Pisces, the Moon’s Sign, is also an ending symbol, finishing symbol of maturity, being the last Sign of the Zodiac. It too has to do with rest, contemplation, the unknown, unknowable, visioning. To the negative side, it can be addictions, the victim/martyr, hidden agendas, fantasy versus reality. For Kate going from commoner to Queen, it can be the dream come true, fairy tales. Moon nurtures unconditionally; Pisces is the ultimate compassion. It gives a dramatic counterpoint to the 5 planet Aries stellium (cluster – see below)! Aries is noted for action, can be courageous first responders, but is not noted for ongoing care with deep sensitivity. The Moon rules mothers, children, women in general, and Diana, the Goddess of the Hunt, in particular. And Mother Diana was missing. Pisces also rules being in Spirit form. In the Abbey, closest to where William and Kate stood to take their vows, there were five chairs. Four of them were taken, by the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla … and then there was an empty chair. Was that chair for Diana?

Some are saying this ‘lost’ Moon in ‘lost Pisces’ is symbolically a way of putting away Diana’s influence. Maybe so, but she was William’s mother. That concept doesn’t work for me. This Void of Course position is akin to an ‘escape’ planet, a planet that has no connections formed to it or by it. It is in a separate state, unhindered, but ineffective, sometimes a loose cannon since there is nothing to censor its choices, no outlets to siphon off energy. It’s behavior often seems inappropriate. It’s one thing to ‘put away’ a matter, it’s quite another to not get any benefit from the Moon other than the Sign it is in.

Being on the brink of the Mayan calendar ending 2012, that event quite close to being at the Galactic Center, the Moon being a degree of square the Galactic Center seems significant! Perhaps they will never take their kingdom or their kingdom, the monarchy system, will be ended, or it will be fraught with difficulties throughout their time.

Their Sun is in Taurus, a sign of fertility and stability, loyalty forever! And there were earthy Pagan elements to the wedding. Trees brought into the Abbey. It was near Beltane – May Day celebration of fertility. They had a hand wrapping – called handfasting in Pagan circles. The archbishop who married them is a Druid! And William’s full name is William Arthur Philip Louis, Arthur being the King of old mythical legends.

Leo Rising, the Ascendant, is a romantic Sign of Kings & Queens, great powers! As Taurus, it is another fixed sign, cherishes its mate and takes a long time before it gives up. It is generous, loves to teach, is thought to be selfish at times, is great fun to be around, has boundless energy! Trine Venus, is kind, loves glorious beauty and color. Their wedding was bright - William’s red uniform (Aries’ color).

FIVE planets in Aries! Aries is not famous for finishing projects nor fertility, but is a splendid champion, passionate leader! Both Leo and Aries are athletic. The group of five starts with Uranus of community, international connections, freedom. Then there is Venus, love of independence, heroes, celebrities, art by fire. The MidHeaven in Aries decides to try new things in government, laws, status. Mercury is next, with inspiring things to say, fresh insights. Mars and Jupiter conclude together. Mars here is in its own Sign, racy super action, with Jupiter is legendary! Jupiter is what we think is righteous, good luck, horses and big dogs, expansion, future plans, travel, publishing, education! Expect these two to broaden and brighten Britain! Aries is less famous for stopping to make agreements, more famous for spontaneous action, sometimes fiery fights, but quickly over! One way or another, this couple will make a lot of news!

With the Sun square the Ascendant, how you appear to others, they may not always look good. Sun inconjunct Saturn, can be sad news at times.

Saturn at 12 Libra is at a midpoint opposition with Venus 10 Aries, MidHeaven 12 Aries and Mercury 14 Aries! Sometimes duty will dominate, love and simply doing what you want to do will seem far, far away. There may not always be time to talk, so many responsibilities. And at times, it will just be good to be apart, a little room to navigate freely.

The Sun sextile Chiron of Marriage, and semi sextile Venus of love and affection, will soften and protect them, give a sweetness.

Sun trine Pluto is the number one US corporate wealth aspect! If it works well in Britain too, their fortunes together are likely assured! Saturn though square Pluto, and is going back, retrograde, to 10 degrees, never makes the exact square to Pluto at 7 degrees. There will be financial scares, close calls, perhaps, but will never quite happen. The issues of their country’s economics will always be of concern.

Spiritually speaking, whether by chance or chosen, a wedding chart is always perfect. The couple has the ultimate final choice of date, time and place. Whatever is the Soul’s agreement, agenda, the chart will show the way and be lived in all its intricacy.

If you didn’t see it and would like to, here is a link to watch the ceremony. At the very beginning, note the lovely greenery in the abbey!

Mercury Direct!

Mercury at station in Aries, getting ready to turn direct, has been in a long opposition with Saturn in airy Libra. It has been in a 3 degrees or less range that started Apr 14, continues until Apr 29! It comes very close, less than ½ a degree of being in exact opposition, when it turns Direct! Mars made its opposition to Saturn on the 18th, tugging reluctant old Saturn along to new adventures. April 19, Mercury conjuncted fiery Mars, ideas in action, and now is chatting them both up, wondering how the new things can be done. Keep the practical working partnerships, add independent new projects and people. Oppositions can stretch things to the limit, sometimes breaking connections that are fragile, spent, not meant, not able. That can be best, a great relief. There may be sadness, and happiness that the dance was tried yet failed. Other times oppositions act practically like a sling shot, propelling us to the furthest amazing reaches, far beyond our ‘normal’ sphere! Life is NEVER the same again, and, perhaps, happily so!!! Let go the too old, and let the new juice up your circuits!

As reality has struck close to home, this opposition has been sobering for some. It is also in a fading formation, a T Square with Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is now 5 degrees behind, but still within range to remind us, have a hangover effect. The two Saturn square Plutos of recent times, Jan 31, 2010 and Aug 21, 2010, were part of the hard economic aspects we have had, for some us quite personal, even indelible in our memory. If it’s broken and can’t be fixed, be wise, put it behind you, move on. If restructuring is called for, get reeducated, get an expert to help you mend matters in a very good way. Make a difference and don’t delay.

Aries rules your head, and red, and hats! The Aries Jupiter super charged Stellium is still ON!

April 20/21, the Sun enters Taurus as Venus enters Aries, and the amazing 5 Planet Aries stellium continues!
April 29, the Moon joins making it SIX, again!!!!
May 1, we’re back to 5 as the Moon enters Taurus, leaving the 5 planets in Aries until May 10, when Mars enters Taurus.

Aries is like the hot pepper in your cuisine! Spice of Life, invigorating, inspiring, lights your fire, leads the way, no questions asked! New is most excellent! How can we not talk in superlatives?! See both last month’s Aries Stellium write-up and December’s 2011 Super Jupiter Charged, Aries Stellium post!

April 20 on, Mars will be in close conjunction with Jupiter until it is exact April 30 at 9:26 PM! This is record setting energy to the power of ten! There is a strong desire to teach through experience/action, travel, exercise, ride bikes, know the TRUTH, be free and independent! Assert your rights in a clear manner, say what you would like to see happen. Ahem, you may feel more sexual than usual. Ummmm. Fix things up, let no sleeping dogs lie. Clear your closet, do that spring cleaning you have put off for years. Replace guilt with action! Just get started. Sometimes that will carry you right on through the entire project! Just do what you can, perhaps delegate the rest? Let’s roll! The 30th, go to the Farmers’ Market for fresh flowers – you will need them next morning, May Day, celebration of fertility!

As mentioned before in the Sagittarius 2010 Sneak Preview, on April 29th through May 1st, 2011, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus, 6 planets, will all be ON FIRE in Aries! Unbelievable passion, magic of Spirit! Your Mother is impatient, your pen is pissed and potent, your Lover is sweet HOT, careful not to run the red light, exercise is a no-brainer, the mighty Truth stands on its hind legs and bites, change is electrifying and defying, a challenge to be alone together!!!!

April 29, the Moon starts with a conjunction with Uranus, a wildcard that can bring family, independence and community together as one!
April 30, Moon conjuncts Venus, then Mercury, while Venus opposes Saturn. Values imperative, brought back to basics. Losses versus accomplishment, love and family aligned across the table with business. Clear-the-air valuable exchange of ideas.
April 30, Mars conjunct Jupiter – see above please
May 1, 7:51 AM, to top it all off, Moon conjuncts Jupiter, then only 30 minutes later, conjuncts Mars ruler of Aries, all at the same degree! That’s a Sunday, May Day, BELTANE! Off for AM bagels and flowers! Better yet, plan for bagels in bed, crumbs and all, who cares, it’s going to be HOT boundless energy! If it goes awry, you could be angry, defensive, or the defender of all helpless women and children! One way or another, it will be a marvel! No running red lights in front of that officer no matter how lucky you feel! But GO! Go somewhere new and fun that you have never been to before! It’s a shot in broad daylight! A great chance of success! Make the launch!

The stellium (3 or more planets in a sign, not including Sun & Mercury) will cover the whole range of Aries, where will this energy spike be in your chart?! Let me pick the best chart for you! The 30th will be better for some of you, May 1 for others!

Mar 28 Jupiter Opposite Saturn This is it’s 3rd and last one! Not only is it the last of the three, but the very last of all the 2009, 2010 difficult aspects that brought our economy down. Hooray and hallelujah! And in the grand scale of difficult aspects, this is not considered high on the list.

Jupiter is the big planet with the Great Red Spot, to me the Third Eye, the Seer – see-er, who looks to the future, far in the distance. It can afford to be joyful because it knows this too will pass, and if it really is unhappy, can educate people to a different way to improve its chances, or travel on where its offerings will be appreciated, often sharing stories along the way. In Aries, it thunders along, seven-league boots like never before!

Very different from the usually polite Libra Saturn animal who commits and won’t leave, ever. It said it would do it, and it will. Saturn is serious about making it work right here, pruning where needed, tucking in, using what’s at hand. It sets priorities, and knocks them off the list with great focus, not really minding the hard work. Great endurance and fortitude, righting and restoring balances, both in personal relationships and community wide. But don’t be too soft. Saturn will use its scythe, whether a look, a few to-the-point words, or simply turning its back on you. You know you need to step up to the plate for real. It commands respect.

Combining those strategies, or calling on them as you can, is a great skill, that makes a lot of sense, kinda the know ‘when to hold, when to fold’ principle. Are you running away, or have you over stayed your welcome? Is the work burdensome with little return, do you need to let go, find a better fit? Good. Work the balance, reach out to opposites to improve your style, extend your capacity, enjoy life more.

Mercury - Fleet Feet, Nimble Mind!

March 30 to April 23, Mercury Retrograde, 24 to 12 Degrees Aries! In firey spirited Aries it is truly fleet of feet, nimble of mind! The messenger of the Gods can’t wait this time! It tries out whatever presents itself in the moment, not a moment to lose! But, as you can, be especially careful not to have your car serviced during retrograde – do it well beforehand or after. Anticipate any mechanical or motion device needs. Not a time to buy a car, take up a new sport or dance, make art related to fire, start a new business, print a lot of cards. If you must do an installation or a seminar, expect delays and a ton of questions, a lot of follow up. New friendships may fizzle, the new place may lose its sparkle. As with all Mercury retrograde purchases, get exchangeable or returnable items, large warranties; don’t do anything you can’t afford to make a mistake about. Not a good time to repaint that wild new color. After the retrograde, and the Aries stellium is over, you will wonder what got into you! But, hey, it was spiffy while it lasted! Who would have ever thought you would do that?! Maybe it was worth it for that alone! Next!

Today, March 11, Uranus (quakes) gave it a last kick at the 29th, last degree and last day of Pisces (ocean), before going into Aries, by shaking us with the Sendai, Japan Quake! 9.0 made it the largest earthquake to hit Japan and the fifth largest in the world since records began in 1900. Google Person Finder for Sendai Quake, click here

Uranus is the planet of quakes, electricity. It and Neptune, planet of the ocean, tsunamis, have been traveling closely together in late degrees since April 2009. Neptune just entered its last degree, the 29th degree, March 5. The 29th degree classically is thought of as at the end of your rope, sometimes the last chance, endings, fatalities, completions, maturity, a done deal, little can be done about what was, and you are on the brink of imminent irrevocable change.

This quake chart, just off coast of Sendai, Japan, has Uranus and Neptune both at 29 degrees, in each other’s signs! Neptune is in the 7th house of relationships; Uranus is in the 8th house, the house of death and transformation. Aquarius is the 7th house cusp sign, and the sign Uranus rules. Aquarius has to do with awakening, sometimes shocks, always change, making friends with people often very unlike us. It also has to do with worldwide networking, the internet. Early warnings were rapidly sent to the Pacific rim coastal areas.

Uranus is still T square, the Moon’s Nodes! This is significant because the Moon is Queen of the tides! Ocillations, waves, undulations, are both Lunar and Uranian! Uranus is the planet of Aquarius. Think of the Aquarian symbol. Electrical, sound, light, waves. T squares are challenges, breakages in patterns, impediments, pressures. The nodes are now at 28 degrees. Uranus at 29, just nudged them over the line.

Charts of major events are always a conglomerate of aspects that have reached a threshold. Some of the aspects are background, have stirred the pot before the event occurs. Long term, slower aspects show potential. Others, often fast moving aspects, are triggers and the event at core, very close to exact. Then there are the aspects still building, indicating the aftermath, how the matter is handled.

Recently we have had Jupiter square Pluto, Feb 25, and we are building to giant Jupiter’s Mar 17 perihelion (closest to Sun in 12 years and moving twice as fast as usual!) AND Mar 28, Jupiter opposite Rock of Gibraltar, hold-on-forever, concentrated, containing, Saturn! In this chart they are in a wide T square, the Jupiter Pluto combo still smoldering, Jupiter already encountering the Saturn wall, making pressure. This is all kinds of push/pull! Jupiter simply has mass, can be a righteous bully, wants to move and does. Pluto has power, and plenty of it, often unseen, a force to be reckoned with. Saturn is stone cold, not giving in, will outwait you. I’m dramatizing here to give you a sense of the symbolic stresses in play. Jupiter at its time closest the sun, as it does once every 12 years, is more empowered than usual!

Just 2 days ago, March 9 Mars just had its 2 year perihelion! It is at 12 degrees Pisces, midpoint (equidistantly between) Venus 10 Aquarius and Jupiter 10 Aries! Mars rules Aries, so adds to Jupiter’s already amped energy! Venus in Aquarius, sextile Jupiter, considered a protective aspect, perhaps mitigated circumstances, less were killed. Some quakes and tsunamis have taken many more people.

The Moon, 0 degrees Gemini, square Chiron, 2 degrees Pisces, was the closest difficult aspect in time, with Moon sextile Mercury also at 2 degrees, in Aries. The Moon can apply to the masses, the people, homes and businesses. Chiron can be a wound, often rather fateful, unavoidable, even unfixable. Pisces is the ocean, so a tidal sweeping, some never to return or be found, unknowns.

Our hearts go to those who have lost so much, many not even having a place to sleep, no possessions left. Economic recovery is one thing, loss of loved ones goes deeper. Wounds can be life changing, and the Chironic symbolism is played out to entirety. Wounded, healer, teacher.

However, the same day, Jupiter squares Pluto the 3rd and last time! This is the 2nd to the last of all the difficult 2010 aspects. They will all finish with Mar 28 Jupiter opposite Saturn. Hallelujah!

Major success is possible, but there has been a price, and cleaning up the mess is part of the game! Since this is the 3rd time, hopefully, our previous experience will prevent a further foolhardy plunge or misbegotten trust. Trust is great as long as it is coupled with eyes wide open and the lights on. This time, if it doesn’t feel quite right, pay attention to that. This isn’t a time to be nice. Find out exactly what’s going on so the terms can be realistically renegotiated or you can wisely withdraw. Find someone professional without an ax to grind, to coach you or be your advocate. Jupiter in Aries tends to be quick about things, independent, but tends not to follow up the tangly details. In this case, if you can’t do the follow up, be sure someone in your court does that for you, and lets you know right away what’s happening. Jupiter connects strongly with Pluto every 3+ years, so these matters are not insurmountable. You just need to get the current education, do the business, whether it is relationships or financial.

Twelve years ago Jupiter squared Pluto before, but it was in different signs. This time it is firey Aries, Jupiter is moving faster, to earthy Capricorn, Pluto moving slowly. Jupiter is happy in Aries, Pluto goes well in Capricorn. Jupiter in Aries is bright and glorious, shouting and laughing, leaping and leading quickly, the arrow flies to the point, the tip on fire! In contrast, Pluto in Cap is the archetype of quiet, behind the scenes contained corporate power, secrets. Jupiter may never fully realize all that’s at stake, and Pluto may feel naked indeed, with Jupiter flinging itself about, ever believing all will be well. Sometimes it is well, sometimes it isn’t though. Clearly, both have good principles. Some revelations may occur in spite of our best efforts to hide. Some things need to die, be let go of, their time is up. Healing is not always easy. Jupiter will help Aries look further ahead, both for positive results and negative consequences. Pluto may ‘clean up’ its own, the laboring old structures falling from their own weight. All in all, a new order is called for.

Waiting is so frustrating. Not knowing drives you crazy. I wish you luck. Because of the square you will need to be proactive even though you probably feel like you’ve had it and would just like to go to sleep, eat chocolate, forget it. But don’t. Now is the time to pay attention, be sure you are presenting everywhere you can, especially to people who are upbeat and would likely pass the good word along. Stay conscious best you can, every step of the way, to take care of any lapses, make any needed corrections, updates, seek new possibilities. I know, I know. Do what you can.

Everything taken care of now, cleared, pays off as it opens the way for major opportunities during the soon arriving 56 Day Super Jupiter Charged Aries Stellium!

Most of us have a lot more power than we realize. Good power. Jupiter in Aries looks to the future. Pluto in Capricorn guards the spiritual reserve of the past, our Father’s place in our life. Aries/Capricorn represents authority struggles – ones of ourself to ourself, and with external power figures. Wise release must occur to allow a measure of progress, to assure evolution without revolution!

Feb 26 to Mar 6, TEN of our ‘11’ planets will be in a concentrated 90 degree arc!

The arc will be defined, perhaps cloaked, by the Jupiter Pluto square! Jupiter is leading the way, Pluto is following, holding anchor, at the tail. Saturn is traveling by itself in Libra. Ambitions may fizzle or be constrained. Bonds may be finally broken, one may feel bitterly cheated. Exaggerations may help us see the whole of it, emphasized where adjustment and replanning are needed. There may be relief as burdens fall away, freeing you to break away from a necessary but overwhelmingly hypnotic past. Balance can be restored, respect re-earned. Get the facts best you can. Visualize your new possibilities. Set out to connect with experienced people who will help. Determine to not harm or be harmed by setting preemptive boundaries so they never get close to your inmost tender areas, by keeping your own behavior clean. You can do this. Being free is so worth it. Jupiter travels, sometimes above it all. Pluto is sometimes painful acknowledgement, but always healing and liberation, the Phoenix from its own ashes, follows. You can do this, and will be glad you did.

Stand strong in your Spirit.

Jupiter changes signs every year, but this year’s Aries into Taurus sweep happens in a breathtaking 4 months, 13 days, Jan 22 to June 4!
Feb 8 Chiron enters Pisces
Mar 11 Uranus enters Aries joining Jupiter
Apr 4 Neptune enters its own sign PISCES (only once every 168 years, and we get to experience it!), Aug 4 it retrogrades back into Aquarius

Transits to Transits, Jupiter’s Blessings!
Jupiter is the only planet that makes aspects to the outer planets in 2011 and makes two more, to finish its sweep, Valentine’s Day and Mar 12 of 2012!
Stelliums, Planets in the Same Sign (I’m including Chiron)
There are many 4 planet groups in 2011, in Capricorn, Aquarius, Taurus, and Sagittarius, but none to compare with the phenomenal ARIES Stellium: 4 to 6 planets in ARIES from Mar 21 to May 15! 56 Days! From April 1 to May 11, there are continuously 5 and 6! That’s half of our 10/11 planets! Think of the charts of children born at that time!

The long duration of this stellium is what makes it so phenomenal! The anchor planets are the slow mover Uranus and faster Jupiter, with Mars on its 2 year cycle, and the annual planets in turn, Sun, Mercury, Venus, and the Moon twice, at the beginning and end! Part of what keeps it going is that Mercury Retrogrades Mar 30 to Apr 23, remaining in Aries longer than would usually be!

Aries is THE highly spirited fire sign, on-the-spot intuition, split second reaction times! Their courage and fearlessness are totally inspiring, leadership is something they do without thinking, it’s normal. They love new ventures, put their whole heart into it, and never look back. If one thing doesn’t work, no crying and moaning, nary an apology, next! They do put their partners on pedestals, and being only human, oops, there are falls from grace. Sigh. But, hey, onward, right?! Pick yourself up and off you go! There is a simpleness of intent, childlike exuberance, sometimes naïve, but well intended. Help them if you can keep up.

Aries Super Stellium High Points!
April 1, Mars, the planet of Aries, enters Aries, making that 5 planets in Aries!
April 2, the Moon joins, making that now 6 planets in Aries!
The Aries NEW MOON is April 3, just as powerful as it can be!
April 4 the Moon enters Taurus, we’re back to 5 planets in Aries.
April 20/21, the Sun enters Taurus as Venus enters Aries, and the amazing 5 planet Aries stellium continues!
April 29 the Moon joins making it SIX, again!!!!
May1 Moon enters Taurus, so we are back to 5
May 11 Mars enters Taurus and we are back to 4!

PART 2, Your 2011 Astrology Highlights!

Retrogrades, Chiron’s New Pattern, Six Eclipses, Occultations, Planetary Extremes, Super Moons, Moon Void of Course, Chinese Year of the Rabbit!

Some of these you will definitely want to mark on your calendar, be aware of, plan ahead for! So, with your appointment book/calendar in hand….

Retrogrades Few The usual outer planet retrogrades, no Mars or Venus retrogrades, Mercury 3 times as usual – Mar 30 to April 23 in Aries, Aug 2 to 26 in Leo/Virgo, and Nov 23 to Dec 13 in Sagittarius.

Chiron’s new pattern, retrograde degrees start overlapping each other. That means sometimes a planet in your chart may be activated 5 times rather than only the 3 times as in the past. The only other planets that do this are Pluto and Neptune. So their activations can, at times, be dense, and intense, repetitive, taking 3 years – the year before they are exact and the 2 years they are exact. If they activate planets in very close degrees, more than one planet at a time, in your chart, it can be intense indeed, complicated, at those times. If they activate a string of planets in your chart one after another, issues can cascade, one to the next, for years and years. You live through things longer than you would ever have thought possible. These are those lawsuits that go on and on, health matters that frazzle your Spirit, children that don’t get over things and have trouble growing up, couples that fight for years never-ending. If you are in such a sequence, get support, see your part in things, get informed, take especially good care of yourself. Call me for a reading, I’ll check for you.

SIX Eclipses in a year happens every 4.5 years or so, and we have a Unique Dark Moon! Four of the six 2011 eclipses are Metonic returns of the eclipses of 1992, repeating on the same dates and degrees. The other two repeat the date and degrees of the New Moons! While many eclipses repeat at 19-year intervals, some do not. Eclipse Frequency

Jan 4 Solar Eclipse, New Moon 13 Capricorn, same day as Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Pisces!
June 1 Solar Eclipse, New Moon 11 Gemini
Jupiter enters Taurus, sextiles Neptune between the 6.1 and 6.15 eclipses, all of them preceding Summer Solstice!
June 15 TOTAL Lunar Eclipse, Full Moon 24 Sagittarius
July 1 Solar Eclipse New Moon 9 Cancer
July Two New Moons, July 1 & July 30! Call the second New Moon of July what you will! Dark Moon, Black Moon, Secret Moon, Spinner’s Moon, Finder’s Moon. The second one of the month is considered especially potent for magical practice.
Two eclipses during Mercury Retrograde!
Nov 23 Mercury Rx
Dec 10 TOTAL Lunar Eclipse, Full Moon 18 Gemini
Dec 13 Mercury Direct

Occultations are Eclipses, just not Moon/Sun Combos! They occur when planets are lined up both horizontally and vertically, exactly in conjunction in the line of sight! Some years they happen again and again, often to the same planet. 2011 there are only 3, all formed by the Moon to different planets – 6.30 Venus, 7.27 Mars, 10.27 Mercury.

Moon Void of Course April 4 to Aug 4, as Neptune enters Pisces, no outer planets, that’s Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, Saturn, and Jupiter, will be in late degrees, all are in new signs! That means the Moon will often have long Void of Course times when no planets are in late degrees of any of the signs. From the time a planet makes its last major aspect, a conjunction, sextile, square, trine or opposition, until it enters a new sign, is the time it is Void of Course, VC. The general interpretation is nothing will come of anything started during VC time. You go shopping for an item that is regular stock, and they are out of it that day! Sometimes it’s a good thing nothing comes of your effort, better left unsaid, so to speak, or, oops, thank God you didn’t do that! But not a preferred time for the interview for the job you really want. Yet, another interpretation is there is nothing to stop the matter, it’s a done deal. If the Moon’s last aspect was classically favorable, I would lean toward declaring a positive outcome for action taken. Generally, I would postpone if possible.

Saturday after ThanksGiving, at, notice that nifty time, 4:44:44 PM Pacific, there’s a BOW configuration AstroLogically, not an uncommon pattern, but this one is feminine, including Mama Moon and Venus in one of her own signs, Libra! The planets are lined up pretty sweetly!

To see the BOW, follow the green lines, sextiles, then notice how the longest ‘vertical’ red lines, oppositions, connect their end points, just like a ‘bow!’

The red lines span between the Moon in Leo, and Neptune/Chiron in Aquarius, the Part of Fortune right there with them! Self aware, expressive, cares about its friends, their dreams, healing, teaching, and it is good fortune to do so!

Venus is at 29 Libra, the very last degree of Libra, critical concern about love, beauty, partnering. It feels that things must get done, that there be change, to set things right.

Mars and Mercury complete the bow in Sagittarius, confident, generous, looking to the future, wanting to take action on what is spoken.

Looks like Saturday fun to me if it ties in well with your chart! Spend time with a new friend, talk with someone you love. Have an afternoon open house, a party! No matter that it’s after ThanksGiving, do your own thing! Invite me!

This one is different than the first one back on May 22 that was in the Pisces/Virgo axis. This one is in Aries/Libra. The insights of Jupiter in Pisces are likely to be fired up with new meaning! Publicity for an event could make all the difference. Going someplace new brings in new spirit, playful and purposeful, provocative! Saturn keeps the temperature just right! Keeps a good pace, directs energy where it most potent! Nothing like being on time for your own game!

The third, last opposition, will be March 28, 2011, at 14 degrees Aries/Libra! So get up and get out! Let go of the old, what’s spent. Start making new partnerships, partnerships that make sense! More gets done when we pool our talents. It’s great to be respected and independent within relationships. Tell your story, make the bridge, put it to work. Give your gift; we can use it.

In a comment to the Pars Fortunae post, Amanda asks: “how’s this for f’d up saturn issues: 9-1

In a comment to the Pars Fortunae post, Amanda asks:
“how’s this for f’d up saturn issues:
9-14-66 with Rising: 3Scorpio16
i don’t think i understand the extent of this, as it’s not me, but someone i unfortunately have a massive crush on and oddly care a lot about
do you have any insights? what’s up with that saturine 5th house? with chiron there does that mark abuse? the person has a grand water trine, but is seemingly lacking empathy (or so it seems). they also have a grand (invisible) air trine. didn’t tim mcveigh have something similar?! again, i would LOVE any insights you could provide.”

Since I don’t have a location or time for this chart, I am creating a chart with a 3 degree Scorpio ASC for a middle latitude in the United States. This yields the following:
Sun 21 Virgo (11th)
Moon 18 Virgo (11th)
Merc 25 Virgo (11th)
Venus 6 Virgo (10th)
Mars 12 Leo (10th)
Jupiter 27 Cancer (9th)
Saturn 26 Pisces (5th)
Uranus 20 Virgo (11th)
Neptune 19 Scorpio (1st)
Pluto 18 Virgo (11th)
Assuming all that is proper, we can proceed…

Even the most rank beginner would be entranced by the Virgo stellium in the eleventh house, which is opposed by Saturn in the fifth (using an eight degree orb for opposition, Saturn opposes Moon, Pluto, Uranus, Sun and Mercury. Saturn is not well placed in Pisces. While Pisces is not a sign of detriment or fall for Saturn, given the mutability of the sign (easily the most mutable of the Mutables) and rigidity of Saturn, there will always be navigational challenges with this placement. In terms of other figures, I don’t see a lot here. I wouldn’t say there’s a Water Grand Trine, as I use seven degree orbs for trines, and Jupiter is eight degrees off from Neptune. I’m also not familiar with the “invisible trine” and I don’t really use Chiron in my analyses (I am still reading on asteroids, and I haven’t seen enough coherent theory to feel comfortable including it in my reading…though it does appear to do interesting things in some charts). However, Neptune and Saturn are in a trine and Jupiter and Saturn are in a trine, so Saturn is in major aspect to all the other planets, save Venus and Mars.

Unlike my own chart, where Saturn sits on the 10th/11th border and openly lords over the rest of the chart, marking himself as dominant, in this chart Saturn dominates (almost) from a hidden perspective–we start to open to others in the fifth house, but it is only a casual type of sharing, not the deep sharing (7th) or public spectacle (10th) that tends to make things harder to hide. Saturn stealthily exerts his cool influence on the chart, and indeed, there might be “learning to have fun” lessons, or, perhaps, “learning to have fun within boundaries” lessons (the intensity of Pisces and the Scorpio ASC).

However, if I were to speculate as to why this native “is seemingly lacking empathy,” I would actually point to the eleventh house stellium on its own (OK, of course there’s a bit of Saturn here), as this loaded eleventh house means that the native will actually have a bit of an Aquarian character. As we all know, one of the most typical complaints about the stereotypical Aquarian personality is that s/he is very friendly, but can lack empathy or the desire to achieve deep, personal understanding (preferring, of course, to examine things from the perspective of the global). It would not surprise me at all if this person did an excellent job at being gregarious, open and sociable (with Mercury in rulership in Virgo, he is probably good at parties because of his wit…though unlike a Gemini Mercury it might take him a bit to warm up) in casual company, but tended to clam up a bit in more intimate situations. I also wonder about the influence of the Virgonic. Many people would suggest that a lack of empathy is a quality found in the crabbier or less well-developed Virgos, but I would actually wonder about the way in which the Virgonic desire to serve works here. Virgos (and really, I believe, Earth signs and Saturn people in general) express affection by serving the needs of the beloved. They do not necessarily want reciprocation (in fact, for the underdeveloped, reciprocation is bad because it asserts equality between the two, which engenders the fear that one will no longer be needed and will be cast aside–for the assumption, borne out of a type of insecurity often linked with Saturn, but that tends to affect Earth signs more than others in general, is that one is only kept around to be of service), but they do demand gratitude. If they feel that they are not receiving this gratitude–and gratitude could be considered a type of duty and thus governed by Saturn–they might go very, very cold.

Indeed, I would say the issues presented by Saturn here are compounded by the influence of Aquarius and Virgo, and the real issue is the native’s attitude toward gratitude and service. Now Saturn has ancient rulership in Aquarius, and the eleventh house energy combined with the influential Saturn does confer a very strong and consistent sense of duty and responsibility, but the way that the native “takes it out” on those who do not share the same rigid conception might cause friction. Saturn in the fifth only compounds this issue, as he places his great weight on the house most associated with sunniness. I don’t think there’s anything very sinister here, but I would encourage you to have your friend really work on expressing his feelings about duty and gratitude and see if he reveals any concealed hurt or pain on these issues.

Thanks for your readership and your kind comments. I hope this is helpful.

OK, now I want to look at the last three oppositions from Part I of this post. Next up is the Neptun

OK, now I want to look at the last three oppositions from Part I of this post.

Next up is the Neptune opposition with my sister. My sister and I have a very “neat” composite. Venus conjuncts Mars in late Leo, Sun and Mercury conjunct in mid/early Cancer, Venus/Mars opposes Neptune, and all that is squared by the Moon. Venus/Mars also trines Saturn/Pluto, which then sextiles Neptune. Jupiter and Uranus are conjunct as well. My sister and I have a very strong relationship now, but she absolutely could not stand me–and I could not figure out why–before I left for college. As I think about it, we each had a very distorted picture of the other. Although my parents did not do this, it would have been easy to split us up into “the smart one” and “the pretty one.” She had a perception of me as having an effortless life, no problems, no troubles, and the love and approval of all authority figures in sight (figures she herself had a difficult time with), whereas she suffered nothing but calamity and unjust prejudice (she was a strong Goth in this period and we lived in the Midwest) for just being who she was. I saw her as someone who was much prettier than I was, had a much easier time making friends and being social, and who, quite frankly, was spoiled to some extent and had no idea what “having it tough” even began to entail. Even though the evidence was all around, she just could not see how hard I worked for everything, and I could not see that she did appreciate what she had. The Moon was not a strong enough square to force a sustained and meaningful and developmental confrontation. Instead, there were emotional outbursts (on her part, as she is a Sun/Moon/Mars/Mercury Leo stellium) that got us nowhere. Distance seems to have added perception, and we both appreciate things about the other, and again, it appears that Saturn’s trine to our composite Saturn/Pluto conjunction added a sense of reality.

Now to the aspect with my father, which is a really significant one, since he and I are only born two days apart. Thus, Composite Sun is conjunct both our natal Suns. Neptune in this Composite opposes the Sun and is conjunct my natal ASC, thus signifying that my relationship with my father has a strong affect on how I appear (and indeed, I do feel like two different people when I am around my family and when I am not, though I will bet that part of that is the fact that I currently have Uranus in the fourth house). The planets in this opposition widely conjunct the “parental” MC/IC axis from the preceding houses. There is also a strong Saturn component to this Composite as it conjuncts Pluto and squares Jupiter. The Moon in this Composite is also in Capricorn. Pisces rises in this Composite, and when combined with Neptune on the MC, contributes to the perception of this as the ideal father-daughter relationships, and it is a fantastic partnership. However, there are underlying tensions stemming from the fact that we are very much essentially the same, and as I develop more independence, I start wanting to demonstrate the independence, self-sufficiency and ability to help others that my father considers hallmarks of his personality. While I was a child, the relationship seemed to be built on the illusion that I would always be in the subservient position, and now as I become more independent, we both have to change how we perceive each other, and how we perceive ourselves, since our identities are very ingrained in the ideal of being personally self-sufficient and being able to extend help to others. If/when my father becomes more dependent on me, that will be the hallmark of another change in our relationship.

The final opposition I want to consider, the Neptune opp. Sun/Venus squared by Saturn, the one from my composite with my best friend, is a hybrid of the first two. My best friend and my crush were born almost exactly one year apart and the respective composites each have the Neptune opposite Sun/Venus aspect. This opposition is squared by Saturn in the composite with my best friend and squared by Jupiter in the composite with my crush. Now, going by planetary reputation, most people would assume that the latter was better, given the negative reputation of Saturn squares. However, given the utter lack of grounding of the Neptune opposition in the composite, I am of a firm belief that the Saturn square is necessary to push this opposition to a point of reality (recall that I also have Saturn square the Neptune/Mars opposition with my ex-boyfriend/current great friend) and move past the layers of self-deception that can occur with the Neptune opposition. Indeed, there were early similarities in the relationship between me and my best friend and me and my crush. I felt automatically comfortable with both people, as though I had known them all my life. This quality of wrapped-up safety was really new for me in terms of relationships with people who were not my family, and I treasure it. However, my best friend and I each helped the other through an incredibly difficult period where we confronted–together–our biggest fears and demons. There were hard conversations–Saturnian conversations–that I’ve never been put in the place to have with my old crush. The Saturn square gives a sense of reality and purpose and meaning to the relationship with my best friend that has allowed it to endure all sorts of ups and downs on the part of both parties.

The major thing I have pulled out of this particular analysis is the importance of a strong Saturn when you are faced with a Neptune opposition (or other difficult aspect) in a composite chart. Rather that providing explosive friction or dutiful dreariness, these Saturn aspects seem to provide a crucial counterbalance and impetus to develop the initially beautiful Neptunian relationship beyond the point where the beauty becomes frustration and elusiveness.

After yesterday’s post, I took a look at some of my own composites and noted oppositions in ma

After yesterday’s post, I took a look at some of my own composites and noted oppositions in many of the charts. I want to focus on some of these oppositions today and discuss what they might mean in terms of how I conceive relationships (given my loaded seventh house and strong Libra presence, this is an area of particular importance for me). I am very big on looking for patterns across my composites and synastry with lots of people in order to learn new things about myself and why I make the choices I make.

Here are some of the oppositions I will be examining:
1. Neptune in Sagittarius opposite Mars in Gemini (Neptune in the twelfth, Mars in the sixth) in the composite with my first boyfriend (who is now one of my best friends). This opposition is squared by Saturn in Virgo on the cusp of the ninth.
2. Neptune in Sagittarius opposite Sun in Gemini (Neptune in the eleventh, Sun in the fifth) in the composite with my first big crush, whom I am friends with, but quite ambivalent about, really. This opposition is squared by Jupiter in Virgo in the eighth.
3. Neptune in Sagittarius opposite a Mars/Venus conjunction in Gemini (Neptune in the first, Mars/Venus in the seventh) in the composite with my only sister (younger by four years). This opposition is squared by Moon in Virgo in the ninth.
4. Neptune in Scorpio opposite Sun in Taurus (Neptune in the ninth, but conjunct the MC; Sun in the third, but conjunct the IC) in the composite with my father.
5. Neptune in Sagittarius opposite Sun/Venus conjunct in Gemini (Neptune conjunct ASC; Sun/Venus conjunct the DSC) in the composite with my best friend. This opposition is squared by Saturn in Virgo in the ninth.

These are some of the most significant relationships in my entire life (my mother is my only immediate family member not listed, though it should be noted that our composite chart Neptune is exactly opposite my natal Sun), so I am convinced that there is something to this pattern. As I said in the earlier post, these Neptune oppositions in the composite chart do not have an overall positive reputation (Liz Greene’s discussion in her Neptune book is my major reference for reading about these contacts in a composite chart), as they are often associated with self-deception or hiding of some sort. In a certain way that is true, and these oppositions (many of which services like astro.com associate with ‘savior/victim’ behavior, following Greene’s reading) perhaps indicate a curious manifestation of my strong seventh house/Libra tendencies.

The first opposition, the Neptune/Mars, manifested itself in a classic way. My first boyfriend and I knew each other for six months before we started dating, and, upon reflection, we pursued a relationship because the friendship was so strong. Issues of physicality and attraction were confused from the get-go; I had not been physically attracted to him when we first met (I was not physically repelled either–I had no real reaction either way) and my attraction developed over time, as a consequence of his intelligence and good sense of humor. From the first (and as of now), he found me pretty, but he was always very shy. The relationship took a drastic turn downward after a little over a year when it was clear he was not enjoying the physical aspect of the relationship. After nearly six more months of both of us being unhappy, he finally confided in me that he really felt he was asexual, and that the pressure of having to be very physical (which I am–the composite Mars in the sixth house reflects my own Mars (in sensual Taurus) in the sixth house) to make me happy was very difficult to deal with, even though he loved my company. We broke off our romantic relationship and have such close, loving friendship that I would not trade for the world. It’s very obvious that the relationship with me forced him to confront this issue, which he had avoided fastidiously up to that point in his life. With a Pisces Ascendant and Neptune conjunct the Midheaven (in aspect to Sun and Moon as well), Neptune was a key planet for him, and in this composite, it was in its home house, the twelfth. Mars and Saturn, two of my key planets, are in stressful aspect to Neptune. I provide him with a sense of grounding and direction that is sometimes uncomfortable for him, but absolutely faithful. In turn, he encourages my lightness and creativity.

That opposition resolved itself, but the Sun/Neptune opposition in the composite with my big crush has festered over our relationship for almost eight years now. While the Mars/Neptune opposition was “about” my ex-boyfriend, I believe that the Sun/Neptune opposition in this chart is “about” me. My flights of fancy and romanticism and new love and, quite frankly, delusion reached incredible heights during this time. I was so happy wrapped up in Neptune’s glow that I almost willfully avoided asking hard questions. For nine months I mooned over this boy and we awkwardly interacted–never touching, never delving into meaningful realities, but utterly addicted to each other’s company. When the time came for us to move on to different places, he told me he had just gotten engaged. Unlike the situation with my ex-boyfriend, this boy and I were never placed in a situation where we had to break through the veneer, and we have both been happy to let the illusions go unchallenged. We have a complicated relationship that seems to receive boots of fortunate energy whenever one of us despairs of the other. I have no idea what he thinks of me; some days I think that we are in love, other days I’m convinced he never thinks of me (he usually calls me not 24 hours later). I still, after all these years, am “clouded” when I think about it, and have a hard time analyzing or understanding the situation. How Neptunian…
