BASE: NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

SHADOW: I covered my entire lower eyelid in NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in Orange pearl. To create the cut crease, I used my pencil brush to draw a line along the crease of my eyelid in shimmery, dark green e/s (from the Wet N Wild Snow Sprite palette). Then I used my Coastal Scents Italian badger hair crease brush to blend that line & fade the dark green e/s into a lighter shimmery green (Verdigris by Ulta). Finally I used matte camel e/s (from the Wet N Wild Vanity palette) to highlight my brow bone.

OTHER DETAILS… I used Wet N Wild Arch Envy brow wax & CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows & Maybelline Volume Express “Falsies” Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline with Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black & my waterline with Ruby Kisses HD gel liner in “green shimmer”.  I also used Black Radiance Complexion Perfection Undereye Concealer (in CA8010 for light to medium complexions).

My coworkers decided that we would dress up for Halloween, so I actually wore this to work. I think my clients were at least mildly amused by our shenanigans, LOL. I rarely celebrate Halloween, but it was fun getting dressed up this year. I even bought candy for a whopping six Trick-Or-Treaters! *whomp whomp* ONTO THE MAKEUP…

PRIMER: NYX HD e/s base

BASE: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

SHADOW:I covered my entire lower eyelid in a shimmery orange e/s from the Shany Cosmetics 120 palette. To create the cut crease, I drew a line along the crease of my eyelid using a black eyeliner pencil. I used my pencil brush to apply a thin line of shimmery, dark green e/s (from the Wet N Wild Snow Sprite palette) to my crease. Then I used my Coastal Scents Italian badger hair crease brush to apply matte, bright green to the crease & fade out the dark green e/s. Finally I used a matte, tangerine orange e/s (also Shany) to highlight my tearducts & matte peach (from the Wet N Wild Greed palette) to highlight my brow bone.

OTHER DETAILS… I used matte black from the Wet N Wild Greed palette to define my eyebrows (b/c I wanted my brows to match my green & black wig). To accentuate my lashes I used Maybelline Volume Express “Falsies” Mascara in Blackest Black. I defined my upper lashline & waterline with Wet N Wild cream liner in black. I also applied Wet N Wild eyeliner pencil in Lilac to my lower lashline, then I set it by applying dark purple e/s on top, from the Estee Lauder Black Moon e/s quad.

LIPS: Wet N Wild Mega Last Lip color in Sand Storm (913C) & Maybelline Shiny-Licious Lip Gloss in Peach Sorbet

CHEEKS: I used Ulta single e/s in “Sparks” on the hollows of my cheeks &  Black Radiance sheer finish blush in Soft Honey on the apples of my cheeks. For festive flair, I applied cosmetic glitter along my temples using Medusa’s Makeup glitter adhesive “The Fix” &  glitter in “Radioactive”.

 The wig looked much cooler with my hair hanging over my eye, but I couldn’t get anything done that way, so I pinned it back. And in case you’re wondering, no, it did not come in this hairstyle, I whipped out my scissors & gave it an asymmetrical cut. If it hadn’t been synthetic hair, I probably would’ve curled it too,LOL! Finally I used matte peach e/s, from the Wet N Wild Greed palette, to highlight my brow bone & tearducts.

BASE: NYX Jumbo Pencil in Yellow

SHADOW: I covered my lower lid in Coastal Scents’ Canary Yellow mica powder. Using my Sonia Kashuk large crease brush, I applied orange e/s (Shany Cosmetics 120 palette) from my crease to just below my brow bone. Then I went back in with a smaller brush (Coastal Scents Italian badger crease brush) & applied matte dark brown e/s (Wet N Wild Vanity palette) to the inner crease, to create a distinct boundary between the yellow & orange eyeshadows. Then I used matte camel to fade the orange e/s into my brow bone & frosty champagne e/s to highlight the arches of my eyebrows (also from WNW Vanity). I lined my lower lashline with Wet N Wild eyeliner pencil in cool green, then I used a pencil brush to apply matte, grassy green e/s & set the liner.

BASE: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cherry (lower lid) & Purple (along the crease)

SHADOW: I covered my lower eyelid (except for my tearducts) in coral-red (Shany 120 palette) & used bright orange to highlight my tearducts.  I used my NYX e/s pencil to draw a purple line around my crease, then I blended that line with my crease brush. On top of the purple cream shadow I applied purple e/s from the Estee Lauder Black Moon e/s quad & royal blue from Shany 120 palette. I used matte camel (WNW Vanity palette) on my brow bone.

OTHER DETAILS… I used CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows. L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline with Wet N Wild eyeliner pencil in cool green & applied spring green e/s from the Shany 120 palette using my pencil brush.

This face of the day was obviously inspired by the Disney/Pixar movie Finding Nemo. If you haven’t already, you should check it out. You’ll laugh, cry & even bite your fingernails… (LOL) It’s a definitely new classic!

NOTE: This look was meant to be a loose interpretation of the orange & white stripes of a clown fish. I opted for the gradation effect in lieu of harsh stripes

PRIMER: NYX HD e/s base

SHADOW: I used orange e/s from the Shany 120 palette on my tearducts & my outer v (leaving a white space in the middle)… then I loaded my brush with tangerine-colored e/s & blended the darker shade of orange into the white (creating a gradation of color from dark to light)… Next I covered the center of my lower eyelids in matte off-white (WNW Greed palette). I used matte peach e/s on my browbone

You know those days when you walk into your closet & feel like you have nothing to wear? Well this was one of those days for me. When I’m feeling this way, I usually end up doing my makeup first, then choosing an outfit & that’s exactly what I did today. The base color for this FOTD is a frost-finish, iridescent, aqua-colored eyeshadow by CoverGirl called Aqua Paradise. The green/aqua blue color shift of this shadow reminds me of fish scales (or in Ariel’s case, mermaid scales). To mimic her ginger-toned hair, I mixed orange & red eyeshadows from my Shany 120 palette & applied that to my crease. Keep reading for the rest of the details…

During our excursion to Panama City, mom & I raided the local Bath & Body Works (#DontJudgeUs!). They were having their buy 3, get 3 free sale, so we bought a bunch of assorted smell-goods. My new favorite scent is Forever Sunshine. Per bbw.com it has notes of golden apricot, pink peonies and a hint of praline… IDK what any of this means, to me it just smells pretty

Tip of the day: If you wanna try new colors, look to the packaging of items in your cabinet/pantry for inspiration. Companies pay scientists & marketing firms millions of dollars to decide what colors will make consumers buy more of their product. Although it may seem unorthodox to you, it can be really pretty. Who knew tangerine & fuschia would be cute together? LOL… ENJOY!

My curls are back  with a vengeance!!! *BAM*

You guys know that although I’m a big, big fan of Gyaru fashion and make up, I never have the guts to wear stuff like circle eye lenses or dramatic fake eyelashes, But I decided to just buy these coz’ they were quite cheap and weren’t too out there.

The two at the top are the ones that I showed you guys in my first post. I’ve worn the Shu Uemura ones a couple times but found them to be quite dramatic. The ones on the right, though, are just right for me I’ll probably take a couple pictures and show you what they’re like on later.

AHA! The fat rollers!

I actually have the face up roller, which kind of helped shape my face a little bit better. I tried using the tummy one last night though, and it’s quite frustrating to use. Because at least with the face up roller, I could just use it while I’m doing something else//multi-tasking ftw. The arm one is better than the tummy, although a little bit light and not that appropriate to use in times of randomness. It’s better to just use them after showers with slimming creams etc. I should’ve gotten the slimming gel I saw in colourmix I also need to get some eye-wakening face masks. Either that, or sleep more -which I wouldn’t object to, except it’s too hard -.-

This is Lioele’s Dollish eyeshadow (triple) in 08 Bronze-Brown. The packaging’s quite nice, although the plastic-y look usually makes me think of really cheap products. It’s pink though, so yayyyyyyy~!

I was looking for an orange palette after running away from the Tsubasa one from the previous store. I usually like Kate since they’re quite true to the colour in the pots, they’re really easy to put on and reasonably priced. Another winning factor is that it’s the daughter company of Shiseido, who I’m a big fan of. So I just really trust their products.

The salesperson was kept saying how in love she was with this, and when she put the swatches on her hand, it actually looked significantly better than the Kate one. The bronze here actually looks more orange when you put it on your eyes which is just what I was looking for.

Aiish, you can’t see it properly like this But keep checking this post later on for the look when it’s actually applied on your eyes -I may even put on the eyelashes

I defined my upper lashine with Wet N Wild cream eyeliner in black. On my waterline, I used WetNWild eyeliner pencil in turquoise & topped that with a shimmery aqua colored eyeshadow for emphasis.

SHADOW: On my tear ducts I used golden yellow & I blended that into tangerine orange… then I blended the orange into magenta (all from Shany 120 palette). I drew a line around my crease & outer v with the turquoise WNW pencil. Then using a crease brush, I blended the line & added turquoise eyeshadow to the crease & outer v. As always, I used matte camel from WNW Vanity on my brow bone.

OTHER DETAILS… I used CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows. L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline with WetnWild cream eyeliner in black. On my waterline I repeated the turquoise eyeliner & eyeshadow from my eyelid for continuity.

Captivated by WHAT?! I know, I know… lemmie explain. I’m a makeup junkie on the outside & a word nerd on the inside. I have a healthy vocabulary & don’t often learn new words, so it’s SUPER EXCITING to me when I do. In case you hadn’t figured it out, my word of the day is coquelicot!!! *Claps hands & does dance* Coquelicot (pronounced kah-klee-ko) is an orangey shade of red that is named after the french word for “poppy”… awesome, huh? I knew you’d like it

I also used matte off white (WNW Vanity) to highlight my brow bone.

I defined my upper lash line with WetnWild Cream eyeliner in Black. For my waterline, I drew a thin line using a turquoise eyeliner pencil (WNW), then I topped it with aqua eyeshadow (Shany 120). RANDOM NOTE ABOUT MY HAIR: I’m on day 11 of my original roller set (4 days since the cantu leave-in revival) & it seems that the curls along my front hairline have come undone *WHOMP WHOMP* I will not be using any heat on my hair this week until hairwashing day, so this is what I did…

I put a little bit of shea butter on the hairline closest to my right & left temples. Then I brushed that hair back & pinned it just above my ear, with a bobby pin. Finally I fluffed the hair in the center & positioned it to fall over (therefore concealing) the bobby pins… and I was DONE in less than 10 minutes!

Orange (Matte) is the truest orange available by MAC. It’s an oldie, but it’s a goody. With a matte texture, Orange can provide a ton of dimension whether used on the lid or crease.

Rule (Matte) is a slightly dirty orange color. It’s matte, like Orange, but it’s not quite as true orange in color.

Arena (Satin) is an orangey-brown, almost a deep peach color for me. I love it for neutral looks, but it’s also nice to use in the crease for brighter looks

Gleam (Lustre) is a light, highlighter peachy shade. It’s pretty and easy to use for even someone who may be color shy.  Lovely when paired browns.

Motif (Frost) is a peachy-orange duochrome with a shimmery finish. I love it for the different ways it’ll look, depending on the colors next to it.  Another awesome tear duct color.

Samoa Silk (Velvet) is a smooth, veluxe-finish peach-orange color. It’s pale without being pastel, and it is a great all-over-lid color.
