Inegavelmente havia beleza na imagem daquele copo sobre a mesa. Na sala escura, à meia-penumbra, apenas a mesa era iluminada pela branda luz externa de um dia nublado. Podia sentir as nuvens esparramando-se pelo vidro da janela. Agora sentado no sofá, a alguns metros de distância, Seu Edgardo contemplava a cena supracitada, com uma conclusão dura, porém óbvia: a mesa e o copo vazio eram a materialização da ausência.

Aos 63 anos aquela era a primeira vez em uma década que ele ficava absolutamente sozinho em casa. Há exatamente dez anos, depois de sua esposa, dona Maria Miquelina, ter sido levada sorrateiramente pela mão por um câncer no esôfago, Seu Edgardo decidiu que era hora de voltar a morar com o pai, Seu Rufino, num miúdo casebre, de bom tamanho para os dois.

E aquela foi mesmo uma década de hábitos simples e pequenos gestos. Pai e filho praticamente não saíam de casa, apenas para comprar pouca comida e muita bebida. Passavam manhãs, tardes e noites jogando dominó, cartas e entoando antigas canções: Seu Edgardo na voz gasta, Seu Rufino no violão surrado. Quando jogavam os passatempos, não se falavam. Dialogavam apenas por meio das músicas. Conversar mesmo, quase nunca. Não precisavam. Quando queriam se comunicar, gestos bastavam. Quando, por exemplo, um passarinho cantava bonito no quintal, o pai cutucava o filho, depois fazia uma concha com a mão direita na própria orelha e colocava a esquerda no peito, como quem diz: “escuta só que beleza, meu filho, escuta”.

A relação com Seu Rufino ensinara ao filho Edgardo que ele sabia – e adorava – conviver com o silêncio a dois. Já era assim, nos tempos de outrora, com sua saudosa esposa Miquelina. O que não suportava era o torpor da mudez solitária.

Por isso olhava fixamente para aquela mesa havia mais de uma semana. Era este o tempo que Seu Rufino, aos 86 anos, fora escolhido para não mais voltar. Sem despedida, sem palavra, sem alarde. Resignado, na companhia apenas do vazio do copo vazio, Seu Edgardo descobriu que a solidão guarda sua beleza apenas para quem abre a janela para vê-la e não pra quem fecha as cortinas.

Investoren übernehmen Küchen-Quelle

Fürth. Die Küchen-Quelle, Tochterunternehmen des insolventen Versandhändlers, ist gerettet. Wie die Insolvenzverwaltung mitteilte, übernimmt die Investorengruppe Franken um die Unternehmer Alexander Fackelmann, Geschäftsführer des gleichnamigen Haushaltswarenherstellers, und Hannes Streng mit sofortiger Wirkung den gesamten Geschäftsbetrieb sowie die Marke Küchen-Quelle.

Auf ddp-Nachfrage ergänzte ein Sprecher, dass auch der bisherige Chef der Sparte mit in dem neuen Unternehmen involviert sei. Über den Kaufpreis sei Stillschweigen vereinbart worden, die übertragenen Vermögenswerte und Betriebsteile entsprächen jedoch einem Jahresumsatz von 75 Millionen Euro.

Die Investorengruppe habe sich gegen mehrere Bieter durchgesetzt.

“Sie übernimmt bundesweit gut 150 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter, davon rund 35 in der Nürnberger Zentrale”, sagte Jörg Nerlich, Beauftragter des Insolvenzverwalters für den Versandhandel.

80 Beschäftigte seien bundesweit im Außendienst und Küchenaufbau tätig, weitere 35 Angestellte in den Mega-Küchen-Stores an den Standorten Amberg, Frankfurt/Main, Freiburg, Nürnberg und Regensburg. Die Übernahme der Mega-Stores erfolge nach entsprechenden Vereinbarungen mit den jeweiligen Vermietern, der Gläubigerausschuss habe den Verkauf genehmigt, sagte Nerlich weiter.

Bereits seit 1998 habe sich Küchen-Quelle als die Nummer 1 unter den Anbietern in Deutschland behauptet und seinen Marktanteil in den vergangenen Monaten sogar weiter ausgebaut. Mit der Sparte ist ein weiterer Teil des insolventen Versandhändlers verkauft. So gingen bislang die Call-Center in Cottbus und Emden an den Outsourcing-Dienstleister Walter Services aus Ettlingen, wobei rund 500 Stellen erhalten wurden.

Bereits zuvor war der Shoppingsender HSE24 an die Beteiligungsgesellschaft AXA Private Equity verkauft worden. Über genaue Preise wurde in beiden Fällen Stillschweigen vereinbart. Die Rechte an der Marke Quelle sowie das Russland-Geschäft sicherte sich der frühere Konkurrent Otto.

Nach Angaben eines Sprechers des Insolvenzverwalters laufen aktuell unter anderem noch die Verkäufe der Kundendienst-Tochter Profectis sowie der Foto-Quelle. Offen sei, wie viele der noch verbliebenen rund 4200 Quelle-Mitarbeiter eventuell noch vor Jahresende freigestellt werden. “Die Gespräche laufen, das wird Mitte bis Ende nächster Woche entschieden”, sagte der Sprecher. Vor längerem habe ich im Post “Entdeckt” über die Schuhbestellung bei Otto berichtet. Natürlich sind die braunen Stiefeletten schon in meinen Besitz übergegangen. Und ich kann nur gutes berichten.

Nehmt die Bilder bitte nicht so ernst (sie sind auch wieder so unscharf). Ich war lediglich dabei meinen Wandspiegel aufzuhängen… und dabei viel mir der Post mit den Stiefeln ein.
Übrigens fotografiere ich mit einer Nikon Coolpix L3. Sie ist nicht wirklich das wahre, deswegen überlege ich  eine Neuanschaffung zu tätigen Habt ihr evt. Hinweise zu einer guten Kamera?

weil man ja neugierig ist, was andere so machen, habe ich mir mal das personalmarketing von otto angeschaut. und siehe da: es lohnt sich, doch mal links und rechts über den eigenen tellerrand rauszuschauen!

starten wir doch erstmal mit einem video-interview, das von der milch & zucker veranstaltung “a journey from attraction to selection” stammt. Interviewt wurde hier die bereichsleiterin für das personalmarketing und service center personal, sabine josch:

in den aussagen von frau josch bin ich bei 2 themen besonders aufmerksam geworden: einmal das thema “testimonials” und zum anderen das thema “social media” (irgendwie logisch, oder?). zu beiden punkten macht frau josch aussagen, die ich voll unterstreichen kann. mal schauen, was der “reality-check” hergibt…

testimonials
hier geht otto den weg, “echte” mitarbeiter (weibliche form immer mitedenken) zu zeigen. das schafft authentizität und ist glaubwürdig. unter dem otto personalmarketing claim “karriere machen. zeichen setzen.” sind auf der otto karriere website verschiedene mitarbeiter-video-testimonials. kommt meiner meinung nach ziemlich authentisch rüber, mit einer tendez zu etwas zu “clean”. schade, dass man die videos nicht auch auf youtube findet (vielleicht lags auch nur an mir?), aber das kann ja noch werden! was mir besonders gefällt ist die idee, die mitarbeiter entsprechend dem claim etwas zeichnen zu lassen. das macht neugierig auf die verschiedenen videos!

social media
auch hier ist otto unterwegs. frau josch spricht twitter und facebook an. auf twitter wird unter otto_jobs getweetet. viele (= > 1.000) follower! der tweet an sich ist geschmackssache. steht viel drin, wo ich mich frage: wer ist die zielgruppe? wen interessiert das? ABER: erstens gibt der erfolg otto recht und zweitens ist das ja nun mal auch teil der charakteristik von twitter. muss ja nicht immer alles super gehaltvoll sein…
zum thema facebook: hier muss jetzt mal ein bild her! die haben auch hier über 1.000 fans. zumindest als mann wundert mich das nicht – scherz, nicht böse sein hintergrund: bei otto sind gerade die “wäschewochen”. wohl dem, der wäsche im programm hat

aber im ernst: die gruppe ist top gemacht. reger austausch, integrierte jobsuche über “jobs for friends” app – cool, kompliment. allerdings ist die fanpage generell fürs unternehmen. es dreht sich nicht nur um personalmarketing. also irgendwie auch logisch, dass otto als superbekannte handelsmarke auch so viele leute zieht…vielleicht wird ja auch  mal eine otto fanpage nur für bewerber gelaunched, wer weiss…
NACHTRAG (…und dickes danke an carllsons): die im letzten satz ausgesprochene hoffnung hat sich bereits erfüllt: es gibt auch eine otto fanpage für bewerber. ebenfalls professionell gemacht, allerdings ohne wäschemodell und mit erheblich weniger fans. also: fan werden und hier klicken.

While I’m not endorsing the totality of the conceptual system underlying Plotinus’ mystical work The Enneads, I did find this passage to be particularly beautiful and, moreover, the best description of a Gnostic-inspired spirituality that I’ve ever come across. For your reading pleasure, I’ve included all of Section 11 of the Ninth Tractate from the Sixth Ennead.

This is the purport of that rule of our Mysteries: Nothing Divulged to the Uninitiate: the Supreme is not to be made a common story, the holy things may not be uncovered to the stranger, to any that has not himself attained to see. There were not two; beholder was one with beheld; it was not a vision compassed but a unity apprehended. The man formed by this mingling with the Supreme must- if he only remember- carry its image impressed upon him: he is become the Unity, nothing within him or without inducing any diversity; no movement now, no passion, no outlooking desire, once this ascent is achieved; reasoning is in abeyance and all Intellection and even, to dare the word, the very self; caught away, filled with God, he has in perfect stillness attained isolation; all the being calmed, he turns neither to this side nor to that, not even inwards to himself; utterly resting he has become very rest. There is thus a converse in virtue of which the essential man outgrows Being, becomes identical with the Transcendent of Being. The self thus lifted, we are in the likeness of the Supreme: if from that heightened self we pass still higher- image to archetype- we have won the Term of all our journeying. E’ uscito lo scorso 16 ottobre il quarto album Combo, produzione totalmente indipendente che sta ottenendo un ottimo riscontro di critica e pubblico. Ne abbiamo approfittato per incontrare gli Otto Ohm nel loro studio di registrazione alle porte di Roma e per fare quattro chiacchiere con la voce del gruppo, Andrea Leuzzi.

Innanzitutto partiamo dalla domanda più scontata, ma anche immediata: perché Otto Ohm?

E’ il primo nome che ci è venuto in mente, avevamo le casse davanti a noi e guardandole abbiamo pensato “Però fico Otto Ohm”, questa è la vera spiegazione, è stato il pretesto per dare un nome al progetto, che poi si è rivelato lungimirante nel tempo.

Sono passati quattro anni dal vostro precedente disco, Naif, come mai tutta questa attesa?

Di solito noi lavoriamo così, non abbiamo mai fatto un disco l’anno, stavolta c’è voluto un po’ di più rispetto agli altri lavori, ma semplicemente perché parlando di cose reali, di vita, c’è bisogno di viverla per poterla raccontare, per poter avere un punto di vista diverso. L’album è la risultante di tanti pezzi, noi arriviamo con una scelta di circa quaranta brani e da lì ne selezioniamo gli undici- dodici che andranno a comporre il disco, che sono il riassunto di quello che abbiamo vissuto. Scegliamo i pezzi che vanno a seguire il filo conduttore che abbiamo voluto dare sin dall’inizio al progetto.

Combo esce come una produzione totalmente indipendente, dopo tre album in cui vi siete appoggiati ad etichette discografiche. Una scelta o un’esigenza?

Abbiamo sempre prodotto da soli il nostro disco, ci appoggiavamo ad etichette, comunque indipendenti, ma solo per una questione di prestigio, non eravamo pronti a gestire in maniera soddisfacente tutto. A noi piace fare la musica, e vorremmo fare esclusivamente questo, ma il mercato ti porta a fare questa scelta. Poi negli anni riesci a maturare una serie di contatti, che spesso sono anche amici, che ti aiutano a veicolare il progetto, a ricavarti uno spazio. Abbiamo sempre portato una creazione completa da tutti i punti di vista, oltre ai brani anche la copertina, è un nostro lavoro a 360 gradi.

Tra le collaborazioni vantate quella con Daniele Silvestri, con cui avete scritto il brano A me ricordi il mare. Come nasce questo rapporto artistico? Ci sono altri musicisti con cui vi piacerebbe lavorare?

In realtà io Daniele lo conosco perché agli albori degli Otto Ohm avevo una ditta di traslochi, ed uno dei primi che ho fatto è stato quello a casa di Daniele Silvestri. Poi ci siamo rincontrati artisticamente circa dieci anni dopo, lui stava lavorando al disco (Il Latitante, ndr) e sono andato a casa sua a Fregene un paio di volte, lui è venuto altre volte qui da noi ed in poche ore è nato il pezzo. Per quanto riguarda le collaborazioni, in Italia ci sono molte realtà valide, ma è un tipo di progetto che deve nascere spontaneamente a mio avviso, non deve essere un accordo tra etichette. Un’artista che ho riscoperto ultimamente e con cui ci piacerebbe lavorare è Cristina Donà.

Com’è il vostro rapporto con la scena indipendente italiana? Cosa ascoltate e vi piace?

Di base io ascolto la stessa musica da sempre, con qualche incursione nuova, ma non sono gruppi italiani. Del nostro panorama musicale, come dicevo, mi piace molto Cristina Donà, e la vena rock che sta uscendo in questi anni, è una bella riscoperta. Mi è piaciuto Bugo, che ha maturato nel tempo un suo stile, poi gli Afterhours, i Marlene Kuntz, ma ci sono anche altre decine di realtà, come alcuni gruppi reggae che sono sopravvissuti nel tempo. Certo se accendi la tv la situazione è piuttosto sconfortante, per chi vuole andare oltre il livello strettamente commerciale c’è poco, anche se poi quello che piace davvero alle persone sono spesso produzioni indipendenti.

E con le nuove tecnologie? Quanto sono importanti per la promozione?

Internet ha ribaltato totalmente la situazione, non sono più le radio a dettare cosa piace o non piace alla gente, a decidere cosa compreranno le persone. Su internet scegli cosa ascoltare, scopri gruppi nuovi ed ha molto più valore un video visto trecento volte su You Tube rispetto a quello passato in tv mille volte. Per fortuna questo dà la possibilità ai gruppi di venire fuori, come è successo anche noi, stiamo cavalcando quest’onda, lo stesso vale anche per l’acquisto della musica, puoi farlo direttamente dal computer o dal cellulare.  Anche il download fatto illegalmente ha un suo valore promozionale, magari scarico un disco, lo ascolto tutta l’estate, mi piace e decido di comprarlo, oppure mi vado a vedere il concerto. Comunque crea quel tipo di interesse, non funziona più il passaggio in radio o il martellamento di uno spot pubblicitario, non c’è più quel parametro per cui “se io spendo un tot mi rientra tot”.

Otto Walkes – die famose Lichtgestalt des deutschen Comedy. Über ihn lacht jeder, weil er es einfach drauf hat jeden zum Lachen zu bringen. Im August 2010 geht er wieder auf Tour in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz. Jeder darf dabei sein, wenn Otto wieder zu diversen Belustigungen aufruft.

Mit dabei ist sicherlich seine Sprachgewandtheit, genauso wie seine Gitarre, die wieder eins der typischen Otto Lieder trällern wird. Jeder wird auch nach dem typischen Otto-Gang rufen.

Hamburg. Die Hamburger Versandhandelsgruppe Otto und der Friedensnobelpreisträger Muhammad Yunus wollen gemeinsam ein Textilunternehmen in Bangladesch errichten. Die "Zukunftsfabrik" soll die Textilien ebenso nachhaltig wie ethisch korrekt produzieren und Löhne entsprechend dem dortigen Mindestlohnniveau von 19 bis 65 Euro im Monat zahlen. Ziel sei die Bekämfung der Armut aus eigener Kraft.

"Die Grameen Otto Textile Company wird zeigen, dass es durchaus möglich ist, ökologische und soziale Kriterien mit ökonomischen Zielen in Einklang zu bringen. Sie soll Vorbild werden für die Textilproduktion in Bangladesch und für ähnliche Fabriken auf der ganzen Welt“, sagte Otto. Für die zweite Phase sei eine Erweiterung der Fabrik geplant. Anders als die bisherigen "Social Business Joint Ventures", die Yunus mit Unternehmen wie Danone, Veolia, Intel oder BASF zur Versorgung der lokalen Bevölkerung mit Nährstoffen, Trinkwasser oder technischen Diensten gegründet hat, wird die "Grameen Otto Textile Company" keine Produkte oder Dienstleistungen für die Armen anbieten. Stattdessen soll die Schaffung von bis zu 700 Arbeitsplätzen zur Armutsbekämpfung beitragen. Auch wenn die neue Otto-Tochter Yunus’ Social Business-Kriterien (soziales Ziel, profitables Geschäftsmodell, keine Dividenden) erfüllen soll, werden die Grenzen zum klassischen "Fair Trade"-Modell damit fließend.
