Went Malaysia. I don’t know what’s the place call.
It’s a makan trip. So yeah. Spent the whole day eating.

I saw the locals killing goats for their new year!
Freaking bloodyyyyyyyyyy.

Lunch & dinner was 8-course dinner @ some restaurant.
It was nice, I swear!

Went noodle factory, plantations, birdnest factory, kampongs.

And I really detest small k i d s.
Irritating bunch.

Eigentlich war ich einst auf der Suche nach einem Song von Fiona Apple. Sallys Song für das Re-release vom Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack, irgendwann in 2006. Gelandet bin ich schließlich bei Gabriela Kulka, die den Song auf ihrer Homepage damals in eigener Interpretation selber anbot….und welcher mir 10.000 Mal besser gefiel als der von Frau Apfel. Auf Gabas Seite gab es unzählige Songs für lau zum Download. Als 2007 das Dresden Dolls Forentreffen in Magdeburg war, waren meine Mitfahrer im Auto so begeistert von diesen Songs, das wir kurzerhand eine Sammelbestellung bei Frau Kulka machten. Mein Album ‘Out’, welches ich immer noch heiß und innig liebe, kam sogar mit Widmung.
Dieser Tage ist das Album ‘Out’ vergriffen und wartet auf ein Re-release. Dafür gibts schon Nachschlag: Hat, Rabbit.

Was bei Out noch teilweise selbstgemacht und akustisch klang, ist bei Hat, Rabbit voll ausgearbeitet und nicht selten mit kompletter Band eingespielt. Dabei sind auch 2 Songs, die es vormals nur in anderen Versionen auf diversen EPs gab. Love Me erschien beispielsweise auf der Pilot EP. Leider geht bei der neuen Version meine Lieblingsstelle im Song in einem Gitarrensolo unter. Ja, ist schade. Aber der Song ist deswegen nicht weniger toll! Challenger erschien bereits auf der Demo(n)/King of Rats EP. Zum reinhören empfehle ich wie immer Last.fm , die meisten Songs gibts als Full Track dort. Das neue Album Hat, Rabbit auch komplett.
Wie üblich sind auch wieder mehrere Songs auf polnisch dabei. Ich verstehe natürlich nur Bahnhof trotzdem gehören sie mit zu meinen Lieblingstracks, Niejasnosci z.B.
Wer auf Damen am Tastenkasten steht und eventuell was mit den Dresden Dolls, Danny Elfman in einer etwas jazzigeren Version anfangen kann, wird Gaba lieben! Hätte auch nie gedacht, das ihr mehr Schlagzeug in den Songs stehen würde. Propaganda macht sogar Queen Konkurrenz!
Alles in allem : genauso ein Album hab ich mir gewünscht!
Wenn Frau Kulka doch endlich mal auf Tour hierher kommen würde.

Noch was zum Abschluss: Laut Last.fm gibt es auch irgendwo eine Bruce EP. Für Infos wo man die kaufen kann, wäre sich sehr dankbar!

Handsome nephew, David, is home from West Point. We think he is soooooo adult now…maybe I better quit calling him the Baby David. We just went down for the day to hear how he is doing…and he is magnificent. We are all so proud…you can see it in Bill’s face. He loooooooooovves his offspring! We stayed a couple of hours then hit favorite spots in SAT even though it was Black Friday. We made it home just before dark. Going to bed, fast!
