Today is Idul Adha, meaning it’s a holiday!! (^o^)/

After a long time not seeing my friends, I spent the day with them~

Originally our plan was to karaoke, but we decided to just hang out n chat! ^_^ We decided that I’ll be at the meeting place on 10.30 and with Inez, we’ll pick Lisan up from her apt in Pluit.

Short story, I ended up going at 10.30 and of course, came late… but guess what? When we arrive at Lisan’s apt, she’s not even near ready!! We have to wait for like 30 mins before she finally showed up… =___= that’s probably the only thing I hate about her…

We went straight to chit chatting about all the random stuff we could think about… and that’s why I love spending time with my girls… we can always find something to talk about!! XDDD

We chat over a series of pasta & 2 pitchers of lemon tea at Panecook. It was really really fun!! ^o^

It’s been a while since I’ve been out and about so this is absolutely fun to do… I miss my girls and I really wish that everyone’s not that hard to gather!!

Why is it super hard just to gather less than 10 ppl at 1 place & 1 time?? Seriously… I’m sick of trying…

Anw… back to today… it was absolutely perfect… until I get back that is… Mom suddenly mention job again… *sigh* I hate it when she does that…

But without that tiny detail, it was just perfect~

Bused to East Coast Park, for Choir CIP (beach cleaning).
I was like complaining “wlao, so hot, and my bag so heaaavy! ): ” at the start, but it was so super duper windy when we started collecting the rubbish. Whoaa! Hair all messed up.
Xinmin saw something stuck in the sand, so Eudy and I went over to dig it out of the sand. Dug out an ice cream box, and plastic bag full of charcoal. Lolll.

Walked over 3km. Ho! So pro hor :B
Bused back to school after drinking sugarcane.

On the bus, I asked Eudy

“What would the world be without money? Wouldn’t it be a much better world?”

She couldn’t give exact answer. Anyone able to give one?

As the day passed by morning to noon on a wonderful Friday, I was drenched with wandering thoughts about the weekend movie, beach or shopping etc,.

Later that eve, we all (team members) said hi! and conveyed our congratulations to Suchitra at her residence and left her place after some chit chat.

On the way back, a sudden thought struck our mind how about going out for a movie tomorrow? We all, thought about it for a while and decided let’s do it!

The day ended well as we booked tickets for the movie Peraanmai (a South Indian Tamil Movie) and planned to meet by 9:30 am near office.

Dawn broke up the valley and as scheduled we had a perfect blend for the day movie @ mayajaal, lunch @ the rock and bid good bye for the day.

เราเดินทางออกจากตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ มุ่งสู่ อ.แม่แจ่ม แวะเที่ยวน้ำตกวชิระธาร สายรุ้งทาบริ้วน้ำตกยังสวยงามและยิ่งใหญ่ทรงพลังอยู่อย่างนั้น จากนั้น เราแวะรับประทานอาหารในโครงการหลวงดอยอินทนนท์ มองเห็นน้ำตกสองสายจากภูเขาไกลๆ อีกต่างหาก นับว่าเป็น Unseen Chiang Mai สดใหม่ ที่หลายคนยังไม่ทราบ … เพราะงั้น “ให้ไว!”

ว่ากันว่า กาลต่อมา ชาวบ้านใจบุญประสงค์ลดภาระของนักบวช โดยการนำผ้ามาแขวนไว้ในป่า (ผ้าป่า?) จากนั้นก็ตีเกราะเคาะไม้เรียกให้นักบวชมารับผ้าไป และหลายร้อยปีต่อมา ผ้าห่มกายเหล่านี้กลายมาเป็น สงบ (ผ้านุ่ง) จีวร (ผ้าห่ม) และ สังฆาฏิ (ผ้าห่มซ้อน) ในปัจจุบัน

ในพิธีการทอดกฐิน มีคำพูดว่า “อปโลกน์กฐิน” (อ่านว่า อะ-ปะ-โหลก) นั่นคือการที่ภิกษุรูปใดรูปหนึ่ง เสนอขึ้นในที่ประชุมสงฆ์ เพื่อถามความเห็นชอบว่า ควรมีการกรานกฐินหรือไม่ เมื่อเห็นชอบร่วมกันแล้ว จึงหารือกันต่อไปว่า ผ้าที่ทำสำเร็จแล้วควรถวายแก่ภิกษุรูปใด เมื่ออปโลกน์เสร็จแล้ว ต้องสวดประกาศเป็นการสงฆ์ จึงจะนับครบถ้วนกระบวนขบวนสังฆกรรม

ตอนนี้ ความโกลาหลในการทำผ้ากฐินลดลง เงินและเครื่องประกอบองค์กฐินอื่นๆ ค่อยทวีความสำคัญมากขึ้นเป็นลำดับ ความเข้าใจหลักที่มาที่ไปของประเพณีการถวายผ้าพระกฐิน จะทำให้ลูกหลานสืบสานต่อไปไม่หลงทาง

วันกลับ เราแวะนมัสการพระมหาธาตุบนดอยอินทนนท์ ได้สัมผัสกับหมอกแรกแห่งปีที่นั่น สวยงามจนแอบร้องเพลงพี่เบิร์ดดังๆ (ในใจ) … หมอกจางๆ และควัน คล้ายกันจนบางทีไม่อาจรู้ …

การได้ไปร่วมงานทอดกฐินตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบครั้งนี้ จึงนับว่าคุ้มค่าดี เพราะเชื่อว่าจะได้บุญใหญ่ เพราะนับเป็นโอกาสในการอุปถัมภ์พระรัตนตรัยให้อยู่คู่กับลูกหลานต่อไป – สาธุ

Today was my CRS and it was done pretty fast. After school, met Perry and we decided to go to IKEA with Andrew. Lunch was awesome, like the heavenly balls descending with the angelic wings.

Went to Wild Wild Wet yesterday, with my mom and brothers.

Mom told me, “take care of your brothers, don’t go separate ways, stick together alrights” But my brothers kept running away.

I didn’t give chase anymore in the end, they wanna run just keep running. Hopefully they fall, and yes, they did! Had kfc for lunch there, and for the rest of the time there, I was staring at a shuaige. *drools, lol!

Hoho, but I think he realised I was staring at him so he walked away.

Trained to Lot for dinner after that. It was peak hour then, and my brothers had to keep pushing when it’s already so friggin’ squeezy.

The reason for them causing so much irritation: they were quarreling over a stupid card game.

Ciaos homies

I had a good time these few days! Hmm, should I start from last Thursday…?

Okay, so last Thursday, I went out with Dawn, Yu Leng, Si Min, Cass, Sin Hui, Felicia, Victoria, Evan and Szu Yee for dinner after practice, and decided on Astons’ rather than a steamboat.

Cause there was ABCD (A Bennu Crazy Day) that day, i ended up drinking this disgusting mixture that’s part of a game. And there were all sorts of things inside: Wasabi, green chili, curry sauce, barbeque sauce, garlic chili, durian, bittergourd, sugar syrup, coffee, aloe vera and one other thing I can’t remember. The distinct taste was that of the coffee (yuck) and durian, with a little spiciness as the mixture went down the throat. xP It’s a good thing we didn’t throw up after that. *dies* And they decided to play Captain’s Ball with a raw chicken!!! >.> I thought I might lose my appetite if I watched too much of the raw chicken being slapped to the ground and grabbed by numerous people, so I left with Victoria and Cass after one of the chicken’s leg nearly got torn off. It’s a total waste of perfectly good food!

Anyway, I couldn’t continue watching, so we left to meet up with the others from practice and then went to drag Szu Yee from the game to no avail. XD But Dawn pretty much lost her appetite for any chicken after watching the game. Haha. Evan stayed to wait for Szu Yee, while the rest of us went on to Astons’ at Suntec to wait for them.

We ended up buying McDonalds’ ice-cream to quiet our loudly growling stomachs cause we couldn’t find ice-creams with decent proportions and pricing. When we returned to Astons’, we found that we had to wait for us to be seated cause the seats for the large groups were mostly taken. Sigh. So we waited for both the seats and the guys. XD And watched a funny video about some guy being chased by a pig, but I’m too lazy to provide the details, so too bad for you.

Eventually, we got our seats and people at the other table were singing a birthday song for their friends, so we joined in the clapping. XD And we had funny conversations while waiting for the food, some of which focused on how Evan is rather… feminine. HAHA. Yu Leng and Si Min were in their own world talking about dramas and idol groups. XD And Dawn kept trying to include them to no avail. Then Dawn realised that it was the first time I’d ever had dinner with her, and I was shocked to realise that too. Haha.

This is dragging really long…..

After dinner, we went to the place above the Fountain of Wealth to trash things out with Evan. And Szu Yee provided us with entertainment by not choosing a side to be on, while Evan looked like an emo kid. LOL. But we got everything done anyway(:

Then, it was Christmas-tree hunting time! We took a lot of photos (like camwhores – the pictures are up on FB, if you want to find them) at weird places that somehow turned out quite nice. The only trouble was getting people to take photos for us. XD And we took pictures with a grand total of 3 Christmas trees! O_o Took the first two outside Suntec, and the last one in CityLink (and just when we thought that was the end of the Christmas trees…).

After that, everyone went home by MRT. The end! No, wait, there’s still today to talk about.

Went out with Xiu Han, Cass and Victoria to buy XH’s court shoes (is that how you spell court shoes?) at Bugis after practice today. We all had the fish and chips set meal at the place where my PW group ate when we went to NLB the other time. We wanted to buy ice-cream after that, but ended up shopping for the shoes first cause we wanted to let the food digest. O_o Window shopping takes a lot out of my energy. I guess it’s a form of exercise if we carry heavy loads and walk for a long time? Anyway, back to the story. We went to Bugis Street and XH was complaining that she’ll look short beside Elaine cause 1. she’s short and 2. Elaine’s wearing heels too, which will undoubtedly be really high. XDDD And we told her not to care so much (at the very most, don’t stand beside Elaine!).

After we accomplished our task, Cass told us that she wanted a boyfriend shirt, so we went in search of one. And we looked for accessories to go with that too, as well as advising her what to wear to complement the look. XD XH and I nearly became her fashion consultants. Heehee. And we weren’t really happy with the shopping cause we didn’t bring enough money, so we’ll probably have another shopping trip (this time with more money) at Far East or somewhere that’s not Bugis again, cause I’m sick of Bugis and there’s only so many things there. I wanted to look for a vest, but there weren’t much choices… So we ended up eating ice-cream and walking around Kinokuniya, talking about all the mangas that are there. But disappointingly, there wasn’t any 07-Ghost or DN Angel volume 12 and 13 out by Chuang Yi, so I perished the thought and wandered around the place aimlessly. XDDD

When we looked at our watches, we realised that it was nearly 6.30pm, so we split ways with Cass and took bus 12 home. And XH was talking to Elaine on the phone, who seemed a bit confused by XH’s words (it’s another long story), and she nearly missed her stop. Then I took a look out of the window and realised that it was her stop, so I told her to get off. XD It’s a good thing she didn’t miss the stop, but I have the feeling she was going to explode from explaining things to Elaine. HAHA.

And yes, I got home, ate dinner, watched TV and used the laptop. End of story. There may be a part II on Monday, if we go out again.

I just came back from Bangkok yesterday with my Dad, Melvin and Andy. It was a blast for sure! Cheap stuffs and a amazing place = win win!

First day we went to MBK (Largest Shopping mall in Thailand) and 2nd day we went to Chakutchat (forgot how to spell, but it’s a weekend market with 10,000 shops). 3rd day was the last day and we took the 2.45pm flight back to Singapore.

So for the currency difference, just bear in mind that 100 baht = 4 SGD. Or 1000 baht = 40 SGD , roughly around that amount. Usually we just take that amount and divide by 25. And if you guys wonder how cheap the stuffs are in Bangkok, well here’s a example. 1 shirt costs 199 baht, which is 8 SGD. And the food court, the chicken rice costs 40 baht, which is 1.60 SGD. Cheap?

Hotel room

Very good considering it's a 3 Star Hotel, even with a Samsung HDTV

Saw these albums in MBK shopping mall, 2NE1, 4minute and KARA. Looks like all these albums are import ones, so the price it's really expensive (KARA one for 790 baht GOSH)

Stuffs that i bought in Day 1, NDSi (cheaper than SG by 50 SGD!!), R4i for NDSi, a super long range (25m) green laser pointer, 2 T-Shirts, 3 SNSD albums (all old ones, and now i have all SNSD albums <3), another LV wallet, and a c0ndom

This is the chip for entering the train station, they call it MRT there as well. And what's amazing is that you can actually TAP using this chip. LOL...

Samsung HDTV. Heard from my dad that both Samsung and LG brand is really strong in Bangkok, and i have to agree. Tons of advertisments by them everywhere. Especially Samsung.

Really recommend you readers to go, it’s a very nice place, people are friendly there, and things are super cheap as well. The most tourists that visited country in South East Asia can’t be wrong

自从由报章得知鼎泰酆从台湾迎进溏心皮蛋后我就迫不及待想要尝尝那传说中的皮蛋. 据说此皮蛋的特别之出就是蛋黄, 还保持着液壯非常的甘香软滑. 而蛋白(蛋黑?)则晶莹剔透和富有弹性.本地的皮蛋我就吃多了,可没吃过蛋黄是液状的.

上个星期朋友约我吃午餐, 而地点刚好在鼎泰酆,难得的机会而我又怎么会错过呢? 马上点一道期待以久的溏心皮蛋来尝尝. 一颗蛋切成四瓣,搭配着阉嫩姜和辣椒酱.

就如传闻中,单黄滑软蛋白弹牙味道适中没有太呛鼻的皮蛋味. 虽然一颗叫价就要RM 3.80,稍嫌贵了点,可是还是值得吃.

哎, 忽然很想吃溏心皮蛋叻!
