Former Outlawz member Mutah “Napoleon” Beale will launch a new TV show in Britain to introduce people to Islam.

Napoleon TV will launch December 1 on Sky’s Up & Coming channel and will air across Europe and North Africa.

Beale will present a number of different celebrities being introduced to the Quran, segments on Fatwa’s and advice from accredited scholars, which will help Western Muslims in need of guidance.

“It seems like here in America the media is attacking Islam in every way possible, so I decided to use the media to give people an understanding about the true religion of Islam, which is whole and peaceful” Beale told Al Arabiya.

The name of the show, Napoleon TV is a nod to his former rap alias as a member of Tupac Shakur’s group The Outlawz.

Napoleon TV will also feature exclusive footage of Beale opening an orphanage in Gambia in partnership with UK charity, Muslim Global Relief.

The charity is personal for Beale, who was left an orphan after his parents were murdered in front of him during a botched robbery attempt.

His older brother Seike Beale committed suicide after the ordeal.

“I was an orphan and this is something I want to do because it is close to my heart,” Beale said. “I will not be making a single penny out of this all money raised will go towards helping orphaned children.”

As a member of The Outlawz, Napoleon was featured on a number of hit albums with Tupac Shakur, including Me Against the World, All Eyez On Me as well as Pac’s infamous diss track “Hit ‘Em Up.”

“People will get to see me going about my business while always striving to get closer to Allah,” Napoleon said.

The Outlawz broke out onto the music scene under the friendship and guidance of Tupac until his untimely death in 1996. Now, more than a decade since his passing, one of the members is stepping back into the spotlight with a new project.

Mutah “Napoleon” Beale has been proverbially absent in music and heavily engrossed in the Nation of Islam. Now all eyes are on him as he ventures out with a new television show to educate the masses on his widely misunderstood belief.

Beale will launch “Napoleon TV” on December 1. Named after his former Outlawz rap alias, the television program will air in Europe and North Africa on Sky’s “Up & Coming “channel where Beale will introduce “top celebrities to Islam” and explain verses of the Quran.
According to Beale, his religion is being grossly misrepresented and he told Al Arabiya News that he hopes to use the entity to educate people on Islam’s “whole” and “peaceful” nature.

“It seems like here in America the media is attacking Islam in every way possible, so I decided to use the media to give people an understanding about the true religion of Islam, which is whole and peaceful.”

The “Up & Coming” channel will also air his documentary “Life Of An Outlaw.” Expect that to be “interesting,” as well as, it’s being produced by Mike Epps.

And now on to what has been deemed “the masterpiece” of West Coast Week. Saved the best

And now on to what has been deemed “the masterpiece” of West Coast Week. Saved the best for last, right? (We’ll see). I was caught between writing about Tupac’s “Me Against The World” and “All Eyez On Me”, but then I decided to do All Eyez On Me because it was a double disc, making the capper on West Coast Week all the more incredible. Fact: That was a lie. Oballer, whose blog – unfortunately not an ISSS – you can find in my alliances helping me take over the internet list (I would link you but that would involve too much effort) told me that he liked this album better, and since he listens to Pac (haha get it…to Pac = tupac) more than I do, I figured I’d follow his advice.

UPDATE: As I am writing this I have discovered news of great importance to the world. There is NOTHING worse than a stale waffle cone.

See this? This is stale and you couldn't even tell.

Here goes nothin. Or somethin.

All Eyez On Me

AMBITIONZ AS A RIDAH (8)

I can already tell the spelling on this album is gonna bother me. Whatever. Tupac’s lyrics are solid, but sometimes its hard to tell what he’s saying cuz it sounds like he’s mumbling under his breath. And although the beat’s melody is grimy enough, the production itself seems too polished to match the song’s grimyness. It’s almost like…well it’s almost like..this:

Ambitions As A Rider*

ALL BOUT U (7)

The obvious radio track, except this is from the hip hop age when you could call women bitches hoes and tricks and they would eat that shit up on the radio. Whatever…I don’t expect the rest of this album to be like this, so I’ll let it slide.

SKANDALOUZ (6)

Damn those triflin hoes. There. I summed up this whole song in a sentence. Tupac is one of those artists, though, that even in songs that aren’t that good they’re never gonna sound horrible (a rare breed), so this still gets a passing grade.

GOT MY MIND MADE UP (9)

Especially with the scratching and the hop on this beat, the production so far hasn’t sounded really West Coast. Oh wait. Maybe here’s why. METHOD MAN AND REDMAN APPEAR ON HERE. Maybe its just because I’m an east coast oriented bastard (It is), but this sounds good.

HOW DO U WANT IT (DB)

I don’t rescind that title I gave him two songs ago just yet, but this is pretty shitty. And there’s alot more radio songs on here than I expected…I’m guessing the second disc is gonna be a lot grimier (I hope).

2 OF AMERIKAZ MOST WANTED (8)

For a song with both Snoop and Pac, I felt this didn’t necessarily live up to my own expectations, but it still wasn’t bad. A little long though.

NO MORE PAIN (6)

Sorry, Tupac, I wrote wrong. I know I asked for more grimyness, but I forgot to add “better songs” to that mix. This is about 6 minutes too long, and for a grimy song it is, I’m sorry, incredibly boring.

HEARTZ OF MEN (8)

If you wait for almost a minute

NO! Not 60 minutes you dunce, 60 SECONDS.

You will finally get to hear Tupac’s ode to money…but this isn’t the typical ode to money, as it’s not mainstream fare flaunting of money unnecessarily, it’s money as a MEANS…money to achieve something, not money for money’s sake. That’s why he throws in all those beginning adlibs (although it gets unnecessary over time) about keepin your eyes on the prize and shit, and its why you hafta avoid people who are just gonna try and steal from you from behind your back. THAT’s why this ode to money gets a higher grade than usual.

LIFE GOES ON (9)

I was wondering when one of these would roll around. If I could boil it down, Tupac was known and still loved for pretty much two things. 1) Writing a ton of shit about “Thug Life” and making badass songs, and 2) on the same albums writing some of the softest yet most heartfelt songs ever. Think Changes, except I can guarantee that not as many people know about this song, since everyone and their mother knows about Changes. That doesn’t necessarily mean this isn’t as good, though.

ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME (8)

FINALLY, Tupac gets more pissed off, and the end result is better than the pop songs that slowed down the first half of the first half of the album the first quarter of the album.

TRADIN WAR STORIES (8)

Think of Life Goes On, except this one falls on the grimier side of the spectrum.

CALIFORNIA LOVE REMIX (8)

Yes, Roger Troutman is on here. Yes, that means that that hook was done with autotune. No that doesn’t mean its annoying as fuck. Why? Because T-Pain isn’t on it. The beat here isn’t as good as the original, though.

I AIN’T MAD AT CHA (9)

Another one of the songs off this album that everyone knows. And that’s for good reason, as this song gives one of the deepest insights into Tupac’s life that I’ve heard so far, and that was always why people loved him (like I said before). The only problem I’m struggling with at this point, is that every one of these songs are long as SHIT.

WHAT’Z YA PHONE NUMBER (DB)

Wait. What the FUCK just happened?

CAN’T C ME (7)

First, lemme say that we have finally arrived at the second half of the album. HOLY PISS this review is gonna be long. This is also the first appearance of the G-Funk sound, but it’s actually not that bad. The spoken word shit thrown in doesn’t fit at ALL though.

SHORTY WANNA BE A THUG (7)

I DEFINITELY recognize that sample tucked into the background from somewhere…WHERE though. THAT’s it…Drive Slow by Kanye. Now that I found out, I can get back to reviewing this song. Solid, but not an improvement over the previous song.

HOLLA AT ME (6)

Tupac re-earns that title I gave him earlier, as the beat here doesn’t do anything for me and the hook is a worthless piece of shit but this still receives a (barely) passing store.

WONDA WHY THEY CALL U BITCH (DB)

Anyone else find it completely ridiculous that he put Faith Evans vocals on the song “Wonda Why They Call U Bitch”? Other than that, this song is Tupac’s public service announcement against prostitution, and just to prove I grade fairly regardless of coast, I’m gonna do the same thing I did here with “The Infamous Date Rape”. Listen to him drop knowledge once, and then delete this.

WHEN WE RIDE (7)

If you wait through 40+ seconds of uselessness, you get to Pac’s charismatic badass attitude, but then he disappears just as quick as he appears, leaving pretty much the rest of the song up to his Outlawz, who obviously aren’t gonna sound as good as him.

THUG’S PASSION (DB)

God that hook is fuckin horrible.

PICTURE ME ROLLIN (8)

Picture Me Rollin'

I don’t plan on ever getting tired of this picture. Pretty much any time Tupac is “rollin”, you can’t go wrong.

CHECK OUT TIME (DB)

These R&B hooks are really starting to piss me off…I mean I’m generally opposed to R&B hooks, but if one sounds good, I’m not gonna deny that it sounds good. THESE DO NOT SOUND GOOD. And no the outlawz don’t impress me.

RATHA BE YA NIGGA (DB)

Why do I feel like this fucker

Hi, I look like an Orca and make shitty music!

wouldn’t be out of place on this album? WHERE IS THE GRIMYNESS?

ALL EYEZ ON ME (8)

Even though this might not be as popular as the other songs I mentioned earlier, this one is still pretty popular and you’ll probly recognize the beat the second you hear it if you don’t recognize the title. A welcome return to the Rollin song.

RUN THA STREETZ (DB)

FUCK that hook is terrible.

AIN’T HARD 2 FIND (7)

DAMN E-40 is old as piss. I apologize for the shorter and shorter responses, but YOU try and listen to 28 tracks in a row and write some intelligent interesting shit about all of them that actually lets people know why you gave them the score you did.

HEAVEN AIN’T HARD 2 FIND (6)

You know what I shoulda just written instead of this entire review? The answer is what I’m about to write right here…

“Rollin” Song = Good.

R&B hook = Don’t waste your time.

CALIFORNIA LOVE (9)

This is the version you know and like.

So you’re finally done?

Yup, I made it through all those tracks.

How’d it go?

This album is a buy. You should have this album. I just said the exact same thing in two different ways. This is the 4th sentence.

Any problems?

Besides the R&B Hooked songs, my only other problems are that 1) the songs in general are too long, and 2) I feel like this coulda been boiled down into one album. Although the man DID have a shitload to say (since he’s still dropping albums nowadays), if he woulda cut out a bunch of these songs, this would have the potential to be a top 10 or at least top 15 album.

And now you end by saying…

Thus ends West Coast Week.

OR DOES IT?!??!?!?!

Bracing yourself for bad luck on Friday 13th February 2009? It can’t be get any worse than this…

13) Former Sunderland striker Michael Chopra broke up with WAG Heather Swan just three weeks after their £250,000 wedding… which was held on Friday 13th June 2008.

12) In April last year a Thames Valley police helicopter and armed response unit swooped on Bicester, Oxfordshire after receiving reports of a man wandering through the town centre wielding a chainsaw. They found a partygoer who had elected to dress up as Jason from the Friday 13th movies. Said a police spokesman: “They discovered he had removed the blades from his chainsaw and was wearing what was possibly fancy dress. Our officers told him to cover up his outfit, or he would be given a fixed penalty notice.”

11) On Friday 13th 2006, 36 inches of snow fell on upstate New York. The ensuing chaos claimed three lives and incurred $130million worth of damage.

10) Retired bus conductor Bob Renphrey of North Wales decided to spend every Friday 13th in bed after a run of bad luck on the fateful day during the early 1990s. Among other misfortunes he wrote off four cars, got made redundant, fell into a river, crashed a motorcycle and walked through a plate glass door.

9) When Bob died of cancer in 1998, his widow Betty – who on previous Friday 13ths had fallen downstairs, been hit by falling guttering and been hospitalized after Bob hit her in the face with a stick he was throwing to a dog – decided to book his funeral for Friday 13th March as a final tribute. Alas, all Rhyl’s undertakers were too busy. “Bob would have seen the funny side,” said Mrs Renphrey.

Friday September 13th 1996 saw rapper Tupac Shakur die of wounds he received in a drive-by shooting after Mike Tyson’s comeback fight against Bruce Seldon is Las Vegas on September 6. After Shakur’s cremation, members of his posse Outlawz Immortal mixed some of his ashes with marijuana and smoked them. As you do.

7) Friday 13th August 1976 was particularly unlucky for New York man Daz Baxter. Having elected to stay in bed to ward off bad luck, the floor of his apartment block collapsed and he fell six storeys to his death.

6) Michelle and Gary Docherty had a memorable wedding on Friday 13th August 2004. First, a swarm of wasps attacked guests at East Kilbride Registry Office, Lanarkshire, as they waited for Michelle’s arrival. Her aunt Mary Strachan smashed an expensive digital camera trying to swat one of the pests, and when Michelle finally did turn up, an insect flew up her dress, triggering a panic attack. After the ceremony, two minibuses booked to transport guests to the reception failed to turn up and the couple lost their wedding video.

5) A full moon on Friday February 13 1987 drove troubled Robert Bullard, 21, to attempt suicide by putting his head in a gas oven. Not only was his methodology flawed – suicide by natural gassing is virtually impossible since Britain moved from lethal coke gas to less dangerous natural gas – but a flicked light switch caused an explosion which injured his mother and a policeman and caused £35,000. Robert was unharmed.

4) Friday 13th February 1998 was simply business as usual for Mancunian John Sheridan, dubbed Britain’s unluckiest man after once having his car stolen five times in one day, making 16 trips to casualty in two years, seeing eight TVs explode in six months and losing out on a £4000 lottery win when he put the ticket in the washing machine with his jeans. John’s big day began when his Saab ran out of petrol. He hitched a lift with a sympathetic policeman, whose car broke down at the garage. John returned to his car with a can of petrol, got it started but lost a wheel as he turned a corner. He returned home on a bus, which broke down. Completing his journey on foot, he realised he’d left his keys inside the car and had to return in case in was stolen.

3) On Friday 13th July 1984 Robert Maxwell bought Mirror Group Newspapers. As you might have heard, it didn’t go too well for us.

2) Friday 13th October 1972 was the date a plane carrying Uruguayan rugby team Montevideo Old Christians crashed on its way from Montevideo to Santiago, Chile. When rescuers finally found the 14 survivors two months later, it emerged that they had survived by eating human flesh from some of 31 crew and passengers who perished in the crash. In 1992, the story was filmed as Alive, starring Ethan Hawke.

1) And the unluckiest Friday 13th of them all… on Friday October 13th 1925 Lincolnshire couple Alfred and Beatrice Roberts had their second child. She’s better known now as Margaret Thatcher.

Originally from those nice but conservative hating people at The Mirror

Afternoon people! This’ll be a blog about what i hope to happen in 2009 when it comes to the c

Afternoon people!

This’ll be a blog about what i hope to happen in 2009 when it comes to the culture of Hip Hop! I’ll be commenting on what i think of the highly profiled newcomers (we all know who i mean), who i want to get signed, who i want to release albums and who i think beef will escalate between!

Newcomers: Asher Roth is who i rate most if i’m honest! He’s something different, and the I Love College is a great party anthem! I find the Eminem references insulting, Asher and Marshall are so far apart it’s unbelievable! Roths hardly murdering his wife or getting his brain addled off of Mushrooms! SHUT UP! It’s great how Asher can spit these middle class lyrics, but still get repped by the heavy hip hop cats such as DJ Drama and Jay-Z! Charles Hamilton is definately a breath of fresh air, but does he have a great deal of commercial movability? I’m not sure. I think that he’ll remain a staple on the underground and will have a thriving career there, but i don’t reckon he’ll ever break mainstream, which could turn out to be a blessing! Wale is great-we all know that! His mixtapes have been acclaimed, so i definately think his album will be released to great success and acclaim. I doubt if he’ll break the Top 40 in the UK, but in the US it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s doing 50K first week numbers! Ace Hood has already dropped, and although he didn’t flop, i thought he’d do better! He’s the most commercially accessible and marketable act out of all the highly profiled newcomers! I think if he keeps popping up on various projects (albums more than mixtapes, but like Tesco says, ‘every little helps) then i think Gutta will continue to move decent numbers and his second album will be where he really starts to blow up!

Who I Want To Get Signed: I hop Stat Quo gets picked up and is given a distribution deal! I so hope that Eminem and Dr. Dre allow Statlanta to be released, as i’ve (and all the other fans) been waiting for so long for that LP to be released! Stats been grinding on the Shady projects, always impressing! Repping the label to the fullest, and appearing on the extended families projects, he deserves an album! I hope he finds a new label that’ll get him distribution and won’t keep us waiting 5 years for a project! Sticking with Shady, i hope Obie Trice doesn’t fade into nothingness, Bottoms Up should be released and i really do hope that he keeps grinding and someone snaps him up!

Who I Want Albums Released By: I want Spider Loc to release an album this year! And i don’t mean another indie offering (West Kept Secret: The Prequel & Da 1 U Love 2 Hate were great, but still), i mean a full blown G Unit project that 50 will promote PROPERLY! I hope 40 Gloccs New World Order album is released through G Unit as i think it’ll move good numbers (if you think 40’s an underground cat-so numbers will be good for him, but very modest for the usual G Unit standards). Young Hot Rod should get his buzz back to, 50 didn’t capitalize off of that! I hope we get another Mos Def album as that should be cool, he’s been away for a while! The Juelz Santana/Lil Wayne project has been gaining momentum lately, so they need to release that April latest if they wanna capitalize off the buzz! It’s been simmering for long enough now! I would like to see another collab project bought out from Messy Marv, perhaps with E-40 as 40 Water has been getting mainstream attention ever since My Ghetto Report Card and i reckon that connection could be Messy’s key to breaking the surface! I’d like Ca$hville to actually step their game up! Outlawz released We Want In this year, independently! That got great reviews and from what i’ve heard it was heavy! C-Bo’s been dropping indie albums, compilations and collaboration albums ever since he inked the deal! The Rise To Fame (If that’s still what the albums called) deserves to be released in 09! What’s the point of having an artist with the credibility and the talent of the bald headed nut if you don’t capitalize off it?

Which beef will escalate?: The Buck/G Unit beef will i reckon. Buck Marley is apparently working on his 3rd album, which will be released under the G Unit umberella. So unless they squash it, we all know from past experience that 50 will make it very difficult for Buck to release the album! I doubt he’ll put his all into promotion! That’ll be a real pity though, as Buck’s one of the best members of the unit! If he can’t get his album out under G Unit he needs some good lawyers to get him out of his contract! I heard T.I. was thinking of signing Buck to Grand Hu$tle, but no talks had been held! T.I. needs to hurry up if he’s going inside for a year! If nothing gets sorted out, Buck should at least drop an independant project on Koch, like Spider Loc does, to keep his name buzzing. After all the publicity surrounding the in camp beef, he should have dropped a project around that time really!

Hip hop should be a good year in 09! Especually with my album being released lol. Scones, Jam & Clotted Cream OUT 2009!
