Don’t know much about those awards..neither did i.. so let me educate you then hey.

When it comes to matters of the skin on your face, you think you have dry skin, and yet you are not sure. Perhaps your skin is not very dry at all.

Perhaps only a few areas of your skin are dry and others are not. Or maybe you have a few dry areas and other places that are oilier. You are not sure how to treat it because doing one thing for all areas of your skin may have bad results on certain areas while helping others.

So what gives?

It is most likely that you have both; you have dry skin and another skin type. This mix of skin types means you have one specific skin type. Combination skin.

Ah, tricky, because not only must you find good ways of treating your dry skin, but you must also tailor your skin care regimen to normal or oily skin. Frustrating yes, but before you start stressing (as stress has never done anything good for a persons skin), take a deep breath and remember that not having overall oily skin can mean less acne outbreaks for you, and not having overall dry skin can mean less work in trying to get it to be soft and moisturized again.

The most common format for combination skin is to have an oily T zone, or the areas of your forehead, nose, and chin, and to have dry cheeks and eye areas. Take comfort in knowing at least your face is not a patchy battleground of confusing skin types and instead the areas are localized, which makes them much easier to treat.

You may even be comforted to know that your T zone is probably not as oily as a person with overall oily skin, and that your dry skin is not as bad as some people with overall dry skin.

So what do you do with this combination of dry and oily skin types? You simply have to adjust your skin care routine to accommodate for both dry skin and oily skin. There are many products out there that tailor to each skin type, or you might even be interested in looking into products that are made specifically for combination skin.

As with any skin type, there are certain things you will want to perform whether you have dry or oily skin, so find the right product for each and begin treating your skin.

Cleanser. No matter if you have oily skin or dry skin, you still want to cleanse. Make sure that your cleanser will not remove all the moisture from your face, because then your dry areas will be worse off and your oily areas will only produce more oil, thus counteracting everything you have just tried to do for your skin.

Exfoliation. Dry skin means flakes of dead skin cells that can get caught in your pores. Oily skin means dead skin cells have a better chance of getting caught in your pores. A good exfoliate will help clean your pores and keep your skin free of dead skin cells.

Moisturize. This applies mostly to your dry skin, as it will more than likely need the moisture. You can leave your oily areas out of the moisturizer loop, as they do not need it. Be sure to give you dry skin all the moisturizer it needs, and use more if necessary.

Sunscreen. Whether you have dry skin or oily skin, the sun will do damage to your skin without a sunscreen to protect it. Find a good sunscreen that both your skin types will be able to handle and be sure to put it on at least 20 minutes before heading out into the sun in order to give it time to absorb into your skin.

Anti pimple cream. Both dry skin and oily skin can be prone to the occasional pimple or two, so have a cream or other anti-pimple product on hand to help zap blemishes before they get out of control.

Sicher werden jetzt einige Leute sagen das es kein besonders interessantes Thema ist, aber ich habe festgestellt das es bis jetzt kaum Webseiten gibt die sich damit beschäftigen. Immerhin ist es es im Handwerkswesen ja sehr wichtig sowohl sichere als auch komfortable und praktische Arbeitskleidung zu haben.
Auf der Seite werde ich also zum einen verschiedene Arten von Arbeitsoveralls vorstellen aber eben auch aufzeigen was beim Kauf zu beachten ist. Letztlich versuche ich auch immer wieder neue Bezugsmöglichkeiten und interessante Sonderangebote auf zu zeigen. Dabei ist es egal ob die Overalls als Großposten für eine Firma bestellt werden oder nur einer von einer Privatperson gekauft wird.

I was up on the roof helping charlie put rubber sheets down to help stop leaks.  I actually had fun doing it to.  My favorite part was looking down the street in front of the house.  There is a tree with bright red leaves on the top that slowly fades to a yellowish green near the bottom, its probably the most beautiful tree on the block.  It has a pretty cool gazebo behind it as well.  I might borrow Robyn’s camera tomorrow and attach a photo of it with this post.

Anyways, I feel pretty good with what I accomplished today.  I was able to help Charlie out since I owe it to him.  He’s been letting Robyn and I stay here for free because I’ve been broke.  But hopefully that will all change soon with me getting full time warehouse.  We shall see.  Whelp, I’ve been up for a long time and I need to go to bed.  Night Intranets.

(Sorry for the extreme lateness of this content…I had some pretty serious career changing activities lately that precluded posting…)

I left my heart in San Francisco!… Ok…yeah…I had to resort to the corny reference…I just couldn’t resist. I actually did have a great time in San Fran, and being my first time there…I can understand some of the attraction to the area.

On a scale of 1 to 10…with 1 being the most worthless waste of time my life’s ever seen and 10 being time so well spent that I would have sold my first born for it…I give VMworld 2009 a…

It was a valuable few days. Perhaps not for all of the reasons that I would have wished…but in general…the things that I felt were lacking were somewhat made up for by gains in areas that I’d not fully planned for.

Best of show:

• Solid, but not spectacular, instructor-led sessions.
  • I did not (nor did a HUGE number of other folks) get into all of the sessions that I wanted, but I got into quite a few. The sessions appeared generally well organized and for the most part hit on exactly what I expected out of them. I felt some of the sessions were a little light on high-level technical details even though they were listed as being for the advanced track, and many times they attempted to cover topics that they had no reason to believe could be given proper credence in the time allotted. You know…I can’t speak for everyone else…but I’d prefer if a conference would provide the option of letting you pick “quality” over “quantity” and would thereby offer “true” deep-dive type instruction on a few specific topics for once.
  • In the sessions that I attended, the stations were generally ready to go and there were not a lot of technical issues during the session, although I did hear from many other attendees about major issues in other sessions.
  • Marketing to Content ratio was hit and miss…some sessions were almost entirely marketing poo…while others were dead on technical. Generally speaking…the VMware-led sessions = Most Direct Content vs. the Third-party sessions = Majority Marketing Spin/Gibberish
• Superb Networking Opportunities
  • Met some great folks that I know will become lifelong contacts.
  • Super opportunity to interact with others from industries outside of your own to share and develop ideas and possibilities.
  • Super parties, tweetups, and other extra-curricular activities…Mucho props to J Troyer and co. For setting up several of the tweetups.
• Schwag, shcwag, and more schwag…
  • So many shirts…I think I could have flown into town with just shorts and slacks…and still come back with enough pairs to make the week plus some.
  • My kids greatly enjoyed the NetIQ flying monkey. I can’t say that I appreciated it much after listening to it for hours on end after I returned home…but at least it’s cheap entertainment right?

Overall, I had a good time and I felt it was a worthwhile experience. I agree with many other bloggers and commenters though…very anticlimactic in general and there was certainly no huge “Wow”-type moment. Oh well…here’s hoping next year will have enough of those types of moments to make this year’s VMworld a distant memory!

Lately there are a number of schools to meet the specific needs of special children. In the help for the physical and mental development of physically and mentally disabled children, set up different learning pattern was. The role of parents in the care of the special abilities of children is very important. Most parents have difficulty in helping children develop special skills in the right way. Parent Teacher Association can be a big help.

PTAs are oftenseen as a facilitating organization, the meetings between trainers and coaches. But they still have much more to offer than just das It can help as a bridge between parents, pupils and schools that ultimately the students. Caregivers can be done about the academic and extracurricular activities at school to know in order to promote student participation and development. The parents can then provide feedback on the results of such programs taken up by the school and point to otherPrograms and teaching methods that can potentially contribute to the overall development of the child.

Often, the consultants are also a part of the club. Counselors and teachers can work together to help parents better assist their children in a way that the general development of the child. Such interactions can be a learning experience for all involved. PTAs can also plan specific actions, that the child will help develop the life and values to develop confidence in dealing withthe world as a whole. Parent Teacher Associations can be used to involve the positive change in specific children. While they help in academic excellence in those students to increase what they do, most importantly, confidence in the students and encourage them to performers.

Since many people often wonder how we pay for our extensive travels and for those who are about to take a RTW trip of their own, we have decided to start talking about how much travelers should expect to spend on certain things in each country so they can plan their own budgets.

We don’t keep an incredibly detailed budget or log of our spending but we know when something is too much money and we have no problem seeking out a better deal. We are actually trying to learn to track our expenses better so as time goes on, this portion of the blog may get more technical. I would say that we fall into a category of “budget travel” but we also didn’t travel halfway around the world to sit in our hostel room, eating bread and cheese. We make some sacrifices here and there, allowing ourselves to enjoy a luxurious meal or an expensive activity that is specific to the area, once in a while.

Japan uses Japanese Yen as their currency.

2 Weeks in Japan = 1,085.79 USD for two people/542.50 each
Note: The above figure doesn’t include our transportation to/from Japan, because I thought it was helpful to see how much we actually spent while in Japan and will talk about transportation below.

Accommodation in Japan

Lodging in Japan is massively expensive. I would say that hotel and hostel costs can  safely add up to half of a persons budget in Japan. I think that when people talk about how expensive Japan is, one of the main factors for this opinion is solely how much people pay to lay their heads down at night. Couchsurfing, Hospitality Clubs or just old friends should absolutely be used if you plan to have an affordable trip.

Tokyo: We were lucky enough to stay with Ellie’s high school friend who lives in Tokyo for five nights. When we looked online at hostels, a few dorm beds start at around 2,500 yen (26.00 USD) and quickly rise from there.

Kyoto: Again, we were fortunately saved by a couch surfing miracle named Shoji who generously let us use his entire extra house with a couple other couch surfers. Traditional Japanese housing with an awesome host that didn’t cost us a dime is a pretty lucky situation. Kyoto is the king of crazy expensive lodging. With few youth hostels, many of the rooms cost around 7,000 yen (73USD) per person.

Kobe: The one night we paid for accommodation was out of sheer novelty. I really wanted to try a Japanese capsule hotel, so we stayed the night at the Kobe Kur haus which I highly recommend. It was 3,800 yen (40 USD) per person, but included use of the traditional onsen (Japanese baths) and sauna, hair dryers, mineral water, shuttle bus to the train station, toothbrushes, PJ’s and all the trimmings.

Capsule Hotels are good value, but most cater to men so check before planning your trip. Also, if really in a tight spot, many people use to the manga internet café private cubicles to sleep for the night. These can cost upwards of 2,000 yen (22 USD), but still remain cheaper than most hostel dorms.

Transportation in Japan

As we previously mentioned, we flew from S. Korea to Japan and our flight was a pricy 300 USD.

In Tokyo- We used the confusing subway system to get us around the city. Subway tickets cost between 150 yen and 300 yen depending on the distance of your journey. Cabs normally start around 800 yen and rapidly go up from there so they are best to be avoided.

Getting from Tokyo to Kyoto- Ellie and I bought a Seishun Kippu Under 18 pass which is basically a rail pass that is offered during school holiday times. You don’t have to be a student or under 18 to use it. The only catches are that they must be used during a specific time such as the season was from the end of July to September and you can’t use any fast trains or shinkansen bullet trains. This pass is perfect for people who have a decent amount of time on their hands. It costs only 11,500 yen for 5 rides that can take up to 24 hours. Also, two people can use the same pass. So Ellie and I each used one stamp on the pass to get us from Tokyo to Kyoto. It is brilliant because the pass is cheaper than even one ride on the bullet trains. However, a ride that normally takes 1.5 hours from Tokyo to Kyoto took us nearly 8 hours with about 5 switches so be prepared that saving money means losing time.

In Kyoto: We took the subway or the JR line trains and most rides cost about 200 yen per ride. It is pretty expensive and adds up quickly especially because to switch between JR lines and subway lines, you have to pay again. This system is a money sucker.

Day trip to Nara : We bought a ticket on the JR line that heads to Nara and it costs a little over 600 yen each way.

From Kyoto to Kobe- We used the remaining stamps on our pass to get there, but another really excellent value is the Kansai-through pass which costs only 2000 yen for one day so if you need to get somewhere such as Kobe, Kyoto, or Osaka for less than 20 USD this is the option for you.

Food/Drinks in Japan

In Japan, it’s possible to eat at convenience stores for really cheap. You may be thinking why would you want to do such a thing? Because the sushi and inari are cheap and super fresh. You can get small sushi sets for around 400 yen at the convenience shop. At restaurants, we paid about 1400 to 2000 yen for two people, but this is the cheapest we could eat at fairly cheap local restaurants. Food quickly gets more expensive and we saw many set menus in Kyoto, starting at 8000 yen (over 80 USD!) and included no alcohol. We became gigantic fans of conveyor belt sushi because it’s one of the cheapest ways to try lots of new sushi and normally costs around 130 yen per dish.

Beer at a convenience shop was normally around 300 yen and soda was about 150 yen. Water was similarly priced to soda depending on the bottle size. We had the pleasure of trying absinthe and that was about 1000 yen per shot in Tokyo but it was absinthe after all and at a pretty upmarket bar. Wine was fairly cheaper than other places in Asia. We found a bottle of fairly tolerable red wine for 500 yen, but many better quality imports could be purchased for only a 1000 yen.

Sights/ Activities/ Side Trips

In Japan, we tried to do a lot of things for free. We spent our time walking around Harajuku, people watching and we visited Tskuiji fish market, which of course is another free activity. We went to a bar that had a free art opening and free champagne, luckily enough. We visited the temple in Yoyogi park which costs nothing and to be honest, we walked a LOT, taking it all in, walking from one neighborhood to the next.

In Kyoto and Nara:

We paid to go in a few temples that sounded interesting and most of the time, the admission was 500 yen per temple.

We went to a little neighborhood onsen (a public bath) and it cost 500 yen. You could buy shampoo and conditioner for about 100 yen each and rent towels for the same.

So, Is Japan a budget destination for Americans?

I wouldn’t call Japan a budget destination for Americans, but I certainly wouldn’t agree with the critics who estimate that you will blow your entire mortgage with one trip to Japan. Can you blow a month’s rent? Sure, if you want to shop ‘til you drop in Ginza, eat fugu and Kobe steak, and stay at a 5 star hotel. Japan can be done amazingly with a decent budget though. I would say it’s similar to vacationing in NYC. Accommodation is the only really outrageous cost you will incur on a daily basis. Would I recommend it to backpackers? Maybe. If you’re trips not too long and you can stay on someone’s couch, then it’s doable, if not a little depressing because there are so many experiences you may miss out on due to money. Granted, I would love to go back with more cash and experience a different Japan.

Make sure people understand the difference between the responsibilities of their jobs and the tasks that must be performed in order to fulfill those responsibilities.

If a person receives a laundry list of tasks instead of a list of major responsibilities, he will have difficulty understanding how the job contributes to the accomplishment of the department and company goals.
