You have to admit, the great thing about The Roofless Church is that I get to go through these over

You have to admit, the great thing about The Roofless Church is that I get to go through these over thought rants of reflection so you don’t have to. My mind pretty much doesn’t shut off. If I’m not using it, it’s running on auto-pilot scanning the created and uncreated Universe looking for signs of Truth and Life. No, I’m not talking about some alien Star Trek™ ish. I’m not that weird. At least not yet. I’m talking about paying attention to the world around me as well as the thoughts and things that I imagine. I figure, if I’m here, I might as well pay attention to what’s going on. Plus a long time ago I had a situation where I chose to accept God as an Absolute. There was no going back after that. Since then, I’ve been working on living my life in that context. What came to me was the idea that if I could imagine such a thought of Absolute, then there was more to our presence than a body called by a certain name, a bunch of experiences, and some random thoughts and reactions to the thoughts and experiences of other bodies.

According to my beliefs, I have been created by an Absolute Power of singular focus. Perhaps it is all an illusion, but it’s what I have to go on right now. Without going too deep, I accept that if I was created by this Absolute God, then my Source is that which created everything that exists as well as the potential of what could, might, and will exist. Basically, in my mind, I ,as well as everyone and everything I will witness and imagine in my life, springs forth from an infinite Source of power and creation. I experience this Source as God and learned about God through the Christian path.

Therefore, as an adherent to this belief, I have developed an intolerance with the “they made me” statements I have heard consistently throughout my life. How can someone make what has already been created? It must be a trick. It is disturbing to me how easily we will relinquish our power to the “theys” of the world. I have spent my entire life trying to figure out who “they” is. As a result, I have exposed myself to various circumstances and forces trying to gain wisdom and assist others along the Way who are sick and tired of “them”.

Growing up, I had a lot of people try to “make me”. It was pretty annoying, but I couldn’t hate on them because they actually believed that someone made them. I even got jumped quite a few times in most of the neighborhoods I lived in by people trying to make me. The thing was, it wasn’t because they didn’t like me–or at least that’s what I tell myself. I believe that they were just acting as an extension of the forces that they were taught “made them.” My presence was uncomfortable to some people because it was outside of the parameters they were taught to see the world in. In their minds, they had a duty to eliminate variation. Essentially, if I existed then their world was a lie. I actually had a kid tell me once that if he was as light as me he too would’ve gotten an “A” on a test that we took. He actually believed I was smarter than him because I was lighter. He was taught that crap.

Since I’m a Black American, I’ll stick to our story of being “made”. Here’s the quick version that shouldn’t take much thought to swallow:

Our slavery of was an abusive and divisive relationship that lasted over 450 years. If you think about how the news tells us stories of kids who will kill their parents because they didn’t get a bike for their seventh birthday, you can imagine the kind of mark a relationship like slavery could leave on our psyche. It did a good job of convincing many of us that we could be made. But like Tupac Shakur’s poem, The Rose That Grew From Concrete, being kept down is no one’s final destiny.

Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it’s dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

Now before I go any further, let me say that I don’t believe “they” is white people. I’m just illustrating a point using my own cultural legacy. If you are white and you happen to be reading this don’t start feeling all guilty. In my belief, people who walk around feeling guilty do a lot more harm than good. Besides, if you feel guilty by my statements, then you just let me make you. That is not my intention and contradictory to my purpose in writing this.

In my sense of reality we are all come form the same Source. Therefore, in all of my communications I am trying to foster an understanding that leads to healthier relationships with one another. What I want to convey here is that we are all Loved. We were created by Love, through Love, and for Love. It is for this reason that I say that I can’t and won’t be made by any thoughts other than Love.

Oh SNAP! I think I just figure out who “they” is. It took my whole Life and these paragraphs to realize that “they” are thoughts other than Love. If you think about it, it makes sense. Can you see where I’m going with this? If you think about every wack thing you ever did, I bet you can trace it back to a thought of fear or an insecurity of some kind. I know I can. So if we assume that the “they” we all deal with are thoughts of fear and insecurity and their cousins regret, guilt, shame etc. instead of some mysterious group of people, we actually come out with a little more power of choice.

Man, I wish I could go a little further with this, but it took long enough for me to get to this point, so I will just leave you all hanging. I’ll just suggest that the next time you feel yourself wanting to react to something, remember that no one can make you do anything that you don’t want to do–especially some disembodied thoughts that tell you that you aren’t Loved and created from the Absolute Source of all Creation. We have a choice. It will always be up to us what we do with that Power.

First, acknowledge your fear. This is a huge first step. If you do just this today, you’ve done some

First, acknowledge your fear. This is a huge first step. If you do just this today, you’ve done something great. Many of us have these fears, but they are at the back of our mind, unnoticed, unacknowledged, as we try to ignore them and pretend they’re not there. But they are there. And they affect us, every day, all our lives. So acknowledge the fear.

Write it down. What’s your fear? Write it on a piece of paper. Writing it down not only acknowledges that you have it — bringing it out into the light — but it externalizes the fear. It takes the fear from the dark lurking places in the back of your mind, where it has power over you, out into the light of day, outside of you, where you have power over the fear. Take control over it by writing it down. It is now outside you. You can do something about it. I personally like to crumple it up and stomp on it, but you can do whatever you like. Post it on your fridge as a reminder of your enemy.

Feel the fear. You’ve acknowledged it, but you’re still afraid of it. You’re reluctant to even have this fear, perhaps even embarrassed about it. Well, no more. Recognize that you’re not alone, that we ALL have these fears, that we all think we might not be good enough. Yes, even the amazing Barack, the amazing Jessica Alba, the amazing Al Pacino. They have the same fears as you do. I sure do. Repeat after me: there’s nothing wrong with having this fear. Now allow yourself to feel it. Experience it fully. Bask in this fear. It isn’t as bad as you think. It’s a part of you, but it doesn’t control you. From djbarker on Twitter: “Feel the fear & do it anyway.”

Ask yourself: what’s the worst thing that can happen? Often it’s not as bad as we think. Do you fear failing in a new career? What would happen if you did? You’d get another job. You’d move on. You’d live. Do you fear being rejected by someone of the opposite sex? What would happen if you were? You’d lick your wounds, you’d find someone else who is more suited for you, you’d live. Do you fear being broke? What would happen if you were? You’d cut back on your expenses, perhaps ask family or friends to help you out for a little bit. You’d find a way to make money. You’d live.

Just do it. To repeat: feel the fear and do it anyway. To beat the fear, you have to just do it. See below for some tips on doing this, but what works for me is not thinking, just acting. Like when you want to jump off a waterfalls into the pool below: don’t think about it. Just jump! It’s an exhilarating feeling. I fear public speaking, but when I get up and just do it, I feel great. From Jade Craven on Twitter: “I fear everything. I’ve recently decided to ignore my fears and just go for it! So many opportunities have come as a result.”

Prepare yourself for battle. When you’re going to take on an adversary, you prepare yourself. You arm yourself, and have a battle plan, and train yourself. Do this in your battle against your fear: arm yourself, have a battle plan, train yourself. If you want to be a musician but you fear failure … practice, practice, practice, then come up with a plan to succeed, then get all the skills and info you need to implement the plan, then practice some more. Then go out and implement the plan!

Be in the moment. Fear of failure (and other similar fears) are fears of the future. We get caught up in worrying about what might happen. Instead, banish all thoughts of the future. Banish even thoughts of past mistakes and failures. Now focus on right now. Do something right now to beat your fears, to pursue your dreams, and forget about what might happen. Just do it, now, in the moment. When you find yourself thinking about the past or future, bring yourself back in the moment and focus on what you’re doing right at this moment.

Small steps. Conquering fear and pursuing a life goal can be overwhelming, intimidating. So start small. Just take one little baby step. Something you know you can do. Something you’re sure to succeed at. Then feel good about that (see below) and take another small baby step. Keep doing this, and soon you’ll have conquered a mountain.

Celebrate every success! Every single thing you do right, celebrate! Even the smallest little thing. And use this feeling of success, of victory, to propel yourself forward and take the next step. Bill Gates describes a “spiral of success” that he used to build Microsoft up from its early success of MS-DOS, to its success with Windows and Word and Excel and Internet Explorer and all that (I know, blech, but still). Use this idea of a spiral of success in your life — build upon each success, use it as a stepping stone to the next victory.

The last quote of this week is from Frank A Clark and it’s a short one, “If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.”

Wow – why are we asking for the easy way – what is that prayer? – Lord make my trouble less, make me stronger to overcome them…

What if we were more like Jim Rohn who said, “Don’t ask for things to be easier, ask to be better.” That’s what I ask for and what I work towards each day – to be better!

55 word story:
Galileo by Tim Hartwig

It was another sun-drenched day at the Cove.
She was definitely a California girl.
Blond, beautiful, tanned.
She had freckles, as the midnight sky has constellations. On her right though, the Pleiades. On her left, Orion’s belt. The Milky Way was splashed across her shoulders and face.
And he longed to be an astronaut.

This is something to think about when negative people are doing their best to rain on your parade… So remember this next story the next time someone who knows nothing and cares less tries to make your life miserable…

A woman was at her hairdresser’s getting her hair styled for a trip to Rome with her husband. She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who responded:

“Rome? Why would anyone want to go there? It’s crowded and dirty… You’re crazy to go to Rome! So, how are you getting there?”

“We’re taking Continental,” was the reply. “We got a great rate!”

“Continental?” exclaimed the hairdresser…. “That’s a terrible airline. Their planes are old, their flight attendants are ugly, and they’re always late. So, where are you staying in Rome?”

“We’ll be at this exclusive little place over on Rome’s Tiber River called Teste.”

“Don’t go any further. I know that place. Everybody thinks its gonna be something special and exclusive, but it’s really a dump.”

“We’re going to go to see the Vatican and maybe get to see the Pope.”

“That’s rich,” laughed the hairdresser. You and a million other people trying to see him. He’ll look the size of an ant. Boy, good luck on this lousy trip of yours. You’re going to need it.”

A month later, the woman again came in for a hairdo. The hairdresser asked her about her trip to Rome.

“It was wonderful,” explained the woman, “not only were we on time in one of Continental’s brand new planes, but it was overbooked, and they bumped us up to first class. The food and wine were wonderful, and I had a handsome 28-year-old steward who waited on me hand and foot.

“And the hotel was great! They’d just finished a $5 million remodeling job, and now it’s a jewel, the finest hotel in the city. They, too, were overbooked, so they apologized and gave us their owner’s suite at no extra charge!”

“Well,” muttered the hairdresser, “that’s all well and good, but I know you didn’t get to see the Pope.”

“Actually, we were quite lucky, because as we toured the Vatican, a Swiss Guard tapped me on the shoulder, and explained that the Pope likes to meet some of the visitors, and if I’d be so kind as to step into his private room and wait, the Pope would personally greet me.

Sure enough, five minutes later, the Pope walked through the door and shook my hand! I knelt down and he spoke a few words to me.”

“Oh, really! What’d he say?”

He said: “Who fouled up your hair?”

Hump day brings us the longest quote on obstacles from Ralph J. Bunche who said, “You can surmount the obstacles in your path if you are determined, courageous and hard-working. Never be fainthearted. Be resolute, but never bitter. Bitterness will serve only to warp your personality. Permit no one to dissuade you from pursuing the goals you set for yourselves. Do not fear to pioneer, to venture down new paths of endeavor. Demand and make good use of your rights, but never fail to discharge faithfully the obligations and responsibilities of good citizenship. Be good Americans.”

Love this – it’s up to us to be good Americans, good people, good citizens of the world.

A short thought to go along with this long one from Soichiro Honda who said, “Success is ninety-nine percent failure.” Which is also like saying – “Everything works out in the end. If it isn’t working out… it just isn’t the end.” Keep overcoming your obstacles!

Do you ever hear Satan and his temptations calling your name? Wouldn’t it be amazing to say th

Do you ever hear Satan and his temptations calling your name?

Wouldn’t it be amazing to say that not only have we heard him calling but that we have also rejected him every time? The reality, though, is that none of us are strong enough to resist temptation each time that it strikes.

Thank our wonderful Father that He is always with us. Look at what He says through Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:13.

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Isn’t this verse awesome? It’s personally one of my favorites because it reminds us that God is always with us. You may read this verse, though, and ask, “If He’s with us, why doesn’t He stop us from sinning?”

God wants us to learn to look to Him for the way out. If He just gave us the way out each time, how would we ever appreciate each time that he saves our life from sin? How could we ever gain the confidence needed to have a face-off with Satan?

Instead, look at each time of temptation with this verse in mind. Remember that you have the ability to overcome it–God tells us that–and He is standing in the corner coaching us in the ring against temptation. We have to listen to God in order to know just the way to win the fight. In the fight, though, we are able to gain the confidence in ourselves that, with God, we can overcome any temptation.

Let’s become Rocky Balboa in the fight against Satan. With God’s help, let’s fight like the Italian Stallion.

The single is officially out on January 11th and you can peep the official video below.

Dear God,

I thought that growing older, meant that wisdom was an assumed perk. As I age each year, I try to reflect upon my past, and strive to never make the same mistakes twice. It is with certainty, that I can confess that this is not always the case in my life. However, Your holy word confirms that You understand our human condition. You lived it, just as we do, and, You allow for our free will to make mistakes and learn form that behavior. While Your life remained sinless, we have the examples of how to defeat sin and overcome our afflictions.

In my morning devotions today, You brought me to I Corinthians 2:9. This chapter of the bible is informative and instructional. In verse 6 we read, “We do, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. Verse 7, “No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. Verse 8, “None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” However as it is written–

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”—-

God,You have revealed this to us through Your Spirit, who searches all things, even the deep things of God. Verse 11, “For who among men know the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him”? In the same way, no man knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

God, our foolishness is the result of non-communication with You. For it is Your love that allows our physical body to breathe and our hearts to beat. Your wisdom is far greater than anything that mere man could conceive. We do have the ability to learn, to enhance our minds, to grow in the wisdom that You provide to us. Each day I want to grow and learn more about You, Your word, and the knowledge that will come when I trust my days to the Savior who supplies my daily needs.

It was King Solomon who had all of the physical amenities that we on earth can enjoy. In I Kings 4:29 we can read this. “God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. Verse 30 says that, “Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all of the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. He was wiser than any other man.” But, even he knew that this was not enough to make his life complete. We were designed to crave more than food, flesh, finance, and fortunes. We were designed to envelope the wisdom of the ages. I do not believe that the stories from the bible, and the detailed lives of those whose faith, and failures were recorded for posterity, were only for Christians to have faith. I belive that they are there as an instruction manual for the wisdom. If we seek Your face, and we attempt to overcome the temptations that plague us, then we must learn from those in our past. Those who denied You, and the consequences that followed them. But, also, for the great heroes that give encouragement and joy to everyone.

Psalm 111:10, “The fear of the Lord is he beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” In Proverbs I have learned the epilogue of how to become a wife of nobel character. In Proverbs 31:26 You tell us, “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” I pray diligently that the words I speak will be thoughtful with the wisdom that reflects a woman of noble character.

Even Mary and Joseph had the responsibility of instructing their righteous Son. Luke 2:52, And Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men. This tells us that if we grow in wisdom, then we are growing in our relationships with man, and that brings favor to You, God. In James we learn of the trials and temptations that will occur in man’s life. James 1:5 answers our question of what to do if we lack this quality. “If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But, when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.”

I want to walk in faith, not by sight, I want to learn all that You would have me to gain in spiritual knowledge. I ask for strength to accept that wisdom and insight do not always bring joy, but it does bring with it, the assurance that Your will is being accomplished. If we pray asking that our decisions be made with the wisdom of the King, then we will have the full assurance that we are learning immeasurable lessons for a lifetime.

Desiring the Wisdom of the Ages-that comes from Christ our Lord,

I am going to let you in on a little secret, you can decide on success! Yes, I said it and I mean it

I am going to let you in on a little secret, you can decide on success! Yes, I said it and I mean it……you can decide on success and achieve success. You can make the decision that success will be yours and then go out and do it. Just follow through on your decision to succeed. Sounds easy, right?

Making that decision is not something to be taken lightly. It is not a decision that you make on a whim or a dare. When you decide on success you need take many things in to consideration, just as you would when making any other major decision in your life. Unlike many other decisions you have made in life, deciding on success is one that you can easily get out of, you can quit, give up or surrender at any point.

You Can Decide on Success

So when you decide on success and things don’t go your way you must understand that quitting or giving up is not an option. Making the decision for success means that you will do what needs to be done and overcome any obstacle that gets in your way. Your only option is to succeed, PERIOD.

Before you decide on success, you have asked yourself if the goal is something you are passionate about, something you enjoy and something that you can see yourself doing for years to come. Well, are you? If you answered YES, then you are on the right track.

Decide on Success and Have Success

Now that you have considered and decided on success it is time to make a commitment to yourself. Write it down. Write out your decision and the commitment that you will achieve success and the sign and date your statement. Now make that statement part of your life. Read it, memorize it, and recite it several times a day. When you decide on success, you must consider your decision and commitment as a contract with yourself. A contract that can’t be broken or undone. There is no way out except being the success you decided and to fulfill your part of the contract.

When you really decide on success the rest is details. The details and success thinking are just the things you need to do to fulfill your contract…..You Can Do That…..Just Decide on Success and with a success mindset.

Many people have a hard time recovering from failure because they let a failed attempt define them.

Many people have a hard time recovering from failure because they let a failed attempt define them. Everyone fails at something and often many times before they reach any level of success. Failure is part of success, not the ending point. It is part of the process. It is merely one event in the many that lead to your success. Alright, I hear you. You are saying that you have had more than one failure….I say GREAT, now you know not to do things that way again. You have gotten that out of your way and now you can continue moving forward.

I am not making this stuff up, I have experienced many failures in my life and probably more than I would like to admit. But on the other hand I have experienced many successes too. I have spent countless hours, days, months and even years working on goals only to fail. It is very hard to accept and just destroys your self-confidence. That is one of the reasons that I write this blog. There were points in my life that the failures made give up and stop trying…for a short time. That is when I decided to make a lifetime commitment to study success and wealth and overcoming failure.

This blog is what I have learned the hard way about success and moving past failure. Through trial and error, failing and succeeding, living and learning until I realized that failure is only an event, a temporary condition and a stepping stone to success. I learned that how I react and deal with failure is the way to overcome failure. One event does not define a person unless you quit and let failure be your final outcome.

It is time for you to start recovering from failure:

A. It often takes many failures to reach success.

B. Everybody fails before they reach success.

C. A failure in one that gives up and stops trying.

D. Failure is an event, not a person, you are better than that.

E. Failure allows you to know what doesn’t work.

F. A success mindset will overcome failure.

G. Know that failure is moving you one step closer to success.

H. Failure is an outcome, learn, adjust and keep going until you reach the desired outcome.

I. Your programmed beliefs can stop you when you fail, change your beliefs.

J. Attitude is everything when overcoming failure… be positive.

Failure can be compared to taking a wrong turn on a road trip, just get back on the road and keep going in the direction of your desired outcome and move past failure. You can do it, others have and you can too!

In news that has delighted the ears of climate change sceptics the world over, the Copenhagen summit

In news that has delighted the ears of climate change sceptics the world over, the Copenhagen summit on climate change has failed to deliver anything of real value that will actually make a difference. It is truly disappointing that even in the face of a massive environmental disaster that will affect the entire planet, global leaders have failed to lead and work together in finding solutions to the major issues we face over the coming decades and century.

Newspapers in Australia have reported the failure of the summit and are reporting on the leader of the opposition gloating over the failure of the summit. His solution is to ignore the real issue and hope that the Australian people prove to be as oblivious to climate change as the coalition he leads.

Typically, the usual anti-Kevin Rudd biased journalists and climate change sceptics of the newspaper (The Sunday Telegraph) I read this morning, were also quick to pour further scorn on the Prime Minister and the problem of climate change itself (which they deny). One particular vocal climate change sceptic in the Sunday Telegraph has very little credibility with me and I find his obsessive anti-Rudd tirades more than a little tiring. This self-opinionated buffoon is little more than an embarrassment for both the Sunday Telegraph and the Daily Telegraph for which he also writes. His columns are becoming more of a personal vendetta against Kevin Rudd than anything resembling real journalism.

I’ll be finding a better way to become acquainted with the daily news than continuing to read the biased diatribes that continue to be put forward by these papers in future. I’ll also be hoping that our leaders can overcome the various preoccupations each have with self-interest (whether it be personal or national) in order to reach a real workable agreement on dealing with the growing threat of climate change

Hello all it has obviously been a while since I posted this post was birthed from a status posted on my Facebook account about the laughter. The post read…

“Tonisha Swanson is lol @ my Lai her laughter is so genuine…ah childhood (most) have not a care in the world…Lord help it remain that way and bless the children whose laughter has been snatched by evil…”

When I posted this I was watching my daughter laughing effortlessly more than likely about nothing but since she is only 3 to her when she laughs it’s about everything and there is a certain beauty in that. Can you laugh at everything or simply anything just because? If your answer is yes, is your laughter genuine? Do you use laughter to cover up pain?Anxiety? Fear?

After this thought it later came to me about how sad it is for a child’s laughter to be stolen and various ways or reasons a child’s laughter would disappear.

There is a beauty in innocence and just as innocent as most children are before (some) are taught otherwise their laughter has an innocence about it as well. However, there is so much evil in the world (and I’ll stop at that description) just hatred and pure evil that lives and breathes among many and within many. This very evil would cause people to destroy even the laughter of a child. Painful to even fathom the hows and whys.

The next time your child or a child around you laughs and perhaps it’s a little too loud or a bit bothersome let it pass and be thankful for that child’s laughter and that it and their innocence is (prayerfully) still intact.

Ciao;)

I’ve learned, the world doesn’t revolve around you

Some people take for granted,

& That just isn’t right.

I say this because, I am very aggravated at myself

I’ve chose decisions, in which I could have prevented

But, yet, I decided to choose those same decisions more than once

For you to learn something, you have to go through it

Until, you’ve learned the mistake you have been making

This mistake, definitely had to do with my career

& That is why, I am aggravated with the choices that I’ve made

So, I made my cousin my so called, “Manager”

& Yet, she as yet to schedule anything to do with me & my business

As far as you’ll may know, I am a business man, for the most part

I do not intend on not communicating with my fellow associates

But, yet, this choice I have made, has been irritating me since she’s started

& So, I will no longer depend on other people

I will take a stand, & See that I will overcome any obstacle

We shouldn’t try to overcome obstacles, to be rid of sins in our lives to make ourselves bette

We shouldn’t try to overcome obstacles, to be rid of sins in our lives to make ourselves better people, to be better Christians. Certainly not for what others see, and not even so we can be more acceptable in the eyes of God (keep reading before you flip out on this statement, I will clarify what I mean by this). Nothing we do should be done with ourselves in mind, not self-centered, not selfish. And being selfish is also part of being prideful, we’re placing ourselves at the center of what we do as if we deserve something purely on our own merit, which ridiculous.

Casting aside bad habits or sins because “they are below us” or because “we are better than that” is a ridiculous attitude, we on our own, are nothing, and certainly nothing good, so how could we be “be better than that?”, or really, better than anything?

Trying to be “better” is in a sense a prideful act, and pride is one of the most dangerous places we can be. God resists the proud. In trying to become better, we can easily become worse.

a.) We may meditate on the things we want to overcome so fiercely that we fall further into what we were attempting to escape.

b.) We may think we have overcome said issue and possibly think more highly of ourselves because of such, even if we don’t realize it. Motives are very important here.

This is certainly not to say that we should continue in ill-mannered things. The point is that we are not to do it because it’s better for us, or to make ourselves better in any sense of the word. It should all be purely and simply a natural result of our love for God. In serving Him, In knowing Him. In setting our thoughts fully on Him and His holy Word. Meditating on whatever is good, pure, and holy. Immersing ourselves in our Lord and letting our hearts, as the little sponges they are, soak up all of Him and be squeezed of everything that is not of God.

If we truly align our desires to simply wanting to gaze upon our Lord in awe, in wonder, in love, we will unavoidably find ourselves to be breaking free of that which binds us, that which hinders us, even that which we could simply do without.

Ultimately, in being selfless, and in serving our God with all we have, just simply acting out of love for Him, even when we don’t feel like, if we go and do it, it will become the reality, and we will find that we have become far closer and more acceptable in the eyes of the Lord than we ever could have become by just trying to be better on our own.

It’s not for you, it’s not about you. It’s all for Him, it’s all about Him, who is all we need.

(Sparked from reading of “Mere Christianity”, it was a very interesting point he made which was so undeniably true. Something that I basically knew, but was presented in a way I hadn’t considered, it’s such an amazing book.)

When I think that I need to write a post about overcoming procrastination, I keep saying that I will do it later. Everyone has those things that they know they need to do, but keep putting them off. There is always something else you can do to keep you from doing that certain thing. You know you will feel so much better when the “thing” is done, and you can get that monkey off your back. Yet we still procrastinate.

There are certain things that I must do every month and yet I catch myself putting them off and saying I will do it later. I know I need to do them, I know I will do them, but I still procrastinate at times. Just keep reading and you will find there is hope for you and me.

In my research of procrastination and trying to keep moving forward I read a post from one of my fellow bloggers that I thought was GREAT. It is “How To Overcome Procrastination In 4 Easy Steps….Tomorrow“. Tom has 4 steps that can really make a difference.

Tom’s 4 Steps To Overcome Procrastination:

1. Plan Your Day – This one always works wonders for me.

2. Remove Distractions – This one sounds easy, but I will do it later!!!

3. Be Accountable – Stop nagging me.

4. Start Now – OK, I’ll do it.

Just kidding, Overcoming Procrastination is something everyone needs to do at some point depending on the task at hand. Seriously, take a look a Tom’s steps at his blog The Standout Blogger for some great information. It is not long and winded, it is to the point and well worth the couple of minutes it takes to read. You will be glad you did.

Procrastination can keep you from moving forward in the pursuit of your goals and achieving the success you desire. There is no room for procrastination in a success and wealth mindset. Procrastination has everything to do with your mindset and your thinking. Follow Tom’s 4 steps to overcome procrastination with one exception, Do It Now, not Tomorrow.

As we all know, Oprah’s talk show is coming to an end in the near future. And by “near

As we all know, Oprah’s talk show is coming to an end in the near future. And by “near future”, I mean 2 years. That gives us plenty of time to change the channel, and I’m pushing for sooner rather than later. Since announcing her show will end in the year 2391, there have been a few interesting developments. I’ve scoured the Internet for the Oprah news you won’t find anywhere else.

From an online article dated 11/30/09 – “. . . it appears that negotiations have broken down recently in Oprah’s attempt to buy, for $12.5 Billion, her soul back from the devil.”

From the Guinness Book of World Records comes this new record for Oprah – “Since launching her own magazine in April 2002, Oprah has now dethroned Mickey Mouse as ‘America’s Most Recognizable Religious Figure’.”

As reported by Court TV – “In a landmark ruling, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered Oprah Winfrey to repay each Oprah viewer fifteen years of wasted time. This is expected to have far-reaching ramifications than many experts believe will set a historic precedent. I’m thinking here specifically of those same viewers who watch Dr. Phil, Jerry Springer, and Grey’s Anatomy.”

The most important question of all remains unanswered, which is: What will stupid people watch now?

Do not fear; Oprah is in the beginning stages of starting the Oprah Winfrey Network, or OWN. As in, “I own you now”. The 24-hour network will feature lifestyle programs and human-interest pieces that will surely delight and slowly degrade your brain in a cool lump of porridge.

Who could possibly replace the Queen of Daytime Talk? I submit that no one could possibly fill the meaningful void other than, perhaps, a German Shepherd on roller skates.

If the Oprah Winfrey Network happens to fail miserably, which I believe it will, what would happen to Oprah? When Oprah is penniless and struggling to pay the mortgage on her mansion, to what lengths will she go to make a fast buck? Would Stedman, God forbid, finally have to get a job?

Let’s take a look back at what other stars have done to keep their solid-gold bathtubs just one more month.

Most recently, Creed has come out of a much-deserved and way-too-short retirement. Like any good movie monster that won’t stay dead no matter how much the vast majority of the population wants it to, Creed has released a nary-anticipated sequel of new music. (I am using the word “music” very loosely here.)

The only difference, of course, is that Creed’s members are not trying to make the payment on their mansions for another month. No, sir. Mansions are classy. It’s my guess that Creed’s individual members are actually trying to pay $40 in back rent so they don’t get kicked their parents’ trailers. What happened when Creed’s money ran out? THIS:

I doubt you were able to hold back the bile from backing up into your mouth. If you made it a minute in (and if so, I applaud you), you would have heard the inherently deep and thought-provoking lyric, “I’m entitled to overcome”. If it were just a bit more of a piece of utter tripe, it might one day be featured on OWN.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to an addiction to prescription painkillers plays. There are different approaches, does not seem to be working, but it depends on the person. What works well for one individual may not be the key to success for another. For this reason, it is important that the person who is addicted to painkillers seek professional help to assist it in determining what course of action aid is best for them.

Of course, regardless of the approach, there is a commonDenominator when it comes to ending an addiction to painkillers. The individual must learn to live without the drugs. For someone suffering from chronic pain due to illness or injury, this may the catalyst that leads to a never seek treatment. If this is the case, it is important to note that there are many effective pain relievers that do not bear the same qualities as other is addictive.

Quit cold turkey is usually the approach of friends and relatives, the prescribedmistakenly believe that the way to beat an addiction, it is easy to stop. This is virtually impossible for anyone truly addicted to prescription painkillers. Instead, a doctor is likely to wean the individual from the medication slowly by reducing their daily dose until they are no longer in general.

This is obviously something that would struggle to do an addict. That is the reason why many people who are serious about ending the pain pill addiction are prescribed, aMedications to help, just the symptoms of withdrawal. Patients with this type of treatment should be closely monitored.

Although it is possible to overcome such a dependency in the home environment, for many people, the process is easier if they are allowed a rehabilitation center. There they can find the support they need to overcome the psychological dependence. Another crucial advantage for a rehab center is that the individual is able to go through the process isweaned from the medication under the supervision of trained personnel. Of course in a rehabilitation center, they are not able to feed their need for drugs because of the restrictive nature of the conditions under.

Support is probably the most important aspect of growing an addiction of any kind, the proximity to the person in front of addiction, it would serve well by learning what they can do about this kind of addiction and what they themselves can do to assist in recovery. AlthoughAnger and disappointment are often those who know the emotions in the addict, it is important to show faith in them. To overcome any kind of addiction is an admirable, what should be done and that will be celebrated.

You may have suffered much emotional pain in your life. These can range from people who have you least expect it, family members or trusted friend or colleague. How can you do it behind and move forward positively in your life?

Some people may take a while to complete, especially if you suffered a severe trauma. A professional advisor can be your first stop. Your GP can offer support or refer to someonethat can help

Some people can work through their emotions, reading personal development and many pounds of cure. Surround yourself with positive, even modeling. Many people listen to those discs to promote self-healing and positive emotions, like the famous Anthony Robbins. After many of its programs, which I think is very positive and helpful. You can not help but feel motivated and positive about your life, if suchMaster of human behavior and emotions are focused on the many positive things.

Others help people see through groups that promote healing and those with mental problems have faced pain, they feel positive and are able to channel these emotions to focus on the positive as well.

Remember, there are many people who have gotten past an extremely dangerous past and have been placed firmly on the path to a successful life. Never an easy task whenhas suffered a massive uprising in their lives.

To obtain the assistance needed to confide in a friend looking for an agency to help or point you in the right direction. Remember, you now have the option to, not a negative past dictate his future, but to move forward positively.

Dreams and Depression Free Life Support Program. Sounds like some Commercial Policy that we have to

Dreams and Depression

Free Life Support Program. Sounds like some Commercial Policy that we have to live by now a days and it absolutely can’t be free. Read ahead to Discover…..

How many times have you felt that you have been just planted in this weird world? How many times have you felt that there is no way to escape from the worldly tensions? How many times you have put on your blues and slipped under your blanket of clouds waiting to be rescued by the golden rays of the sun?

Ever felt drowning in a sea of depression and no-one to rescue? Ever felt like blaming the Maker, the Creator who let this happen to you and not come to your rescue when you really were crying out for HIM. Well, count me in too. Of course, everything happens for a reason but feeling so helpless and hopeless and not having nature step in makes you think wildly and leads you to a path which is smooth as ice and divinely white in color yet if you slip once you don’t even know you will get up again or not. Such is the plan of the Satan. Such treacherous, concealing plan woven in so beautifully that you don’t even realize that it exists.

Such dark, negative states of mind jolt you and make you rethink yourself, your beliefs all over again. I have known people to whom this has been happening for ages and they have been getting in and out of these low and high periods throughout their lives. When the lightning of depression strikes, it strikes hard and it seems next to impossible to get out of it. The whole world seems useless and one just waits for the nature to rescue them.

It’s not so hard to consider that I have been a victim of this state myself. During the mighty endeavor of fighting between the right and the wrong voices inside me, I continuously think Why? With some miracle I get over it and life goes on. I am finally out of it and I don’t realize how or why.

I had to tell myself to stop this reshaping and reinventing of myself every now and then and set my beliefs straight. It had made me think that there is something seriously wrong with me. Either you hold a certain belief or you don’t. You don’t really lurch in the middle. And that is exactly what I have been doing.

How can you expect something positive out of yourself if what you put in yourself is all negative? Throwing myself at the mercy of the nature and wanting to get rescued. Is that my plan? And is that all? No- one is answerable for me and no-one is to be blamed for me. If I don’t control my life, then I will keep on playing hide and seek with the shadows of my own depressions and the moments of my own sunlit glory. Being a human, you have a responsibility to be Responsible for your thoughts and actions.

Having said that, I have come to realize another fact of life. We have not been left in this world on our own. There exists a wide range Life support Program for us and that is when Nature comes in. Nature does play its part but it does it automatically and quietly, blending itself with the conscious realities of life so well that we don’t even comprehend it consciously. After all, it wouldn’t be nature if it was otherwise.

Among many ways of providing us with a unique Support Program, one way is through the dreams. Alright, many of you might be thinking that you don’t have dreams at all. Guess what? Latest research and advancements in the Science tell us accurately that if a person lives an average life of 60 years, he spends approximately 4 years of his life dreaming. Dreams can be of different forms and represent different meanings. But everyone is likely to dream to fulfill its basic purpose which is to get you out of the mess of life.

Dreams are created in the left part of our brain and the right hemisphere really makes us remember them. If the right part doesn’t work while we are dreaming, we don’t remember the dream which doesn’t mean that we don’t dream. When we have unsorted or unfinished business from the day, we keep clinging on to it and dreams provide an outlet to emotions or tensions that we drag from the day to our bed with us.

You see different colors to actually soothe your brain and cancel the negative effects that are so tied into. If you are hopeless or plunged into rivers of desperation and don’t want to believe that you can Rescue yourself. Instead you are waiting to be rescued, believe me that Nature does step in to do that. You would see dreams in or with yellow color.

Yellow is the color of Hope and it brings back your lost hope. God has created us and HE knows what we might be up to, what our limits are, and how far we can defend the negative forces of nature that are in on us from everywhere. HE knows that most of us wouldn’t realize how they should fight back into the race or have the courage to do it so HE lets nature does come in to play. The vicious cycle of negativity that we let ourselves fall into is broken by the positive reinforcement of dreams canceling it with the yellow color seen in the dreams.

Even if you don’t remember dreams or the colors you dream in, if some day you did you can experience what nature has been doing for you. You are not alone. Even if you have no-one beside you, remember that you will always have nature in ways you are aware or unaware. The nature is in its making and shaping us.

So, I have once and for all had my beliefs put straight because swaying on different branches of beliefs doesn’t lead us anywhere. We are Not Alone!!
Happy Connecting!!!
