This picture came out a little weird. I have to say the biggest problem is that the craters in the sand turned out far darker than I expected them too. The other main problem I have with this photo is that the bottle is sort of blurry. I took this picture while I was out exploring. 

Ah how I like the blue sky. I think that this picture after a little saturation turned out well. However one of the things I would change about it if I did it again is that I would get rid off the bit of lens flair that is prevalent outside of the sun.

I like the button. It is red. When I push it though things happen. Bad things…. Anyways this is another random picture that I took and decided to saturate. I am somewhat happy with how it came out, but I think that it could be a lot better.

I like the way this picture came out a fair amount. The only thing that really bugs me is the color static that is present in the corners of the left side of the picture which is due to the fact that the picture is saturated. This is part of a boat motor.

This is actually a picture of where the motor for a boat is mounted to the boat itself. It has been saturated and sharpened a bit. I really like all of the scratches, holes, and bumps in the surface of the mount that are made even more visible by the saturation. I also like the contrast between the blue paint and the orange rust that is prevalent in the photo.

Grease and Rust

 Another one of the random objects that exists in my abode. Yet another one of my random pictures that I decided to edit in Photoshop. If I had a chance to do it again I would have actually saturated this less. I however do like how prominent the grease is.  

This is another saturated picture. I took it when I was bored and saw a large box full of various cables in my garage. I’m fairly happy with how it turned out other than some color static that appeared due to the large amount of saturation.

I was out walking around for a bit with my camera when I came across a pitching machine and I took a picture of it. After some editing this was born. I really like how the baseballs in this picture age more and more as they come closer to the camera.

I’m not really sure what to say concerning this picture other than I really like the sky.  

Another picture from when I went to the White Mountains that I found and decided to edit. It turned out alright, but if I had a chance to it again I would have had more of the picture in focus.

More time spent in the tunnels. I mainly like this picture due to the fact that it does say look left and look right. I honestly didn’t notice this while I was in the tunnel and It was only after I was back at home while I was thumbing through pictures that I saw it. As usual I saturated the picture.

I should try a lot harder to not get hit by cars, since apparently even if you are ten or more feet off of the road they think that you might be fun to hit. Anyways I like this picture mainly due to the fact that you can see one of the cars in it.  

Some more long exposure night photography. I decided to make the colors stand out some more. For some reason this one reminds me of a ship traveling faster than light, hence the title.   

Some long exposure night photography. It has been edited some to bring out more color and in order to attempt to make it much less grainy. The main reason for the grain is that it was taken with an ISO of 200.  

This is a picture of the sky I took while I was out hiking. I saturated it a fair amount and added a few effects in order to make it look slightly more like a painting. While taking pictures that day I learned a very important thing, always, always check your footing. I nearly slid 20 feet down a hill that was covered in cactus.   

Overall I like this picture. It is the broken power supply to one of my desktop computers that had to be replaced. As I usually do I bumped up the saturation of the image.  

This is another picture that I took while I was out exploring a wash. This photo was taken somewhat randomly when I stumbled across two large pipes that were coming out of the side of a ramp that I had to walk down in order to enter the wash. I really like this photo after I edited it since it has a high amount of contrast and the lines that are from both the hand rail and the large concrete bridge that is near the middle right of the image. I believe that at some point I will try doing some portrait photography in this location since I think if someone was sitting in the closer of the two pipes it would look good.  

I don’t get it and I am sick of it. Why can’t some of these damn drug companies go bankrupt? The ED ads are the worst, but there are ads for everything and honestly, I like my meds, but I prefer to find out about them on my own or from my doctor.

I think they should start tailoring them to the programming. For instance, if Cialis wants to run ads during the 700 Club, the ads should say, “And on the seventh day, God said, ‘Man must bone his woman. Viva Viagra!’

In short, I want everyone associated with those ads who possesses a penis to never be able to get an erection again. Or failing that, I wish to become a lesbian.

I need to go to bed now. With any luck, I’ll have a nice dream about Tina Fey, who did the best parody ever in a spot for Conan O’Brien’s show: “If your Conan lasts more than three hours, call a doctor.” Maybe she can turn me over to the other side. I should be so lucky.

This is another picture from when I was exploring a wash with a friend of mine. It’s taken at a slightly weird angle due to the fact that I was trying to balance on one foot at the time I was taking it. One of the main things I would change about this picture if I did it over again is that I would move the cup that near the bush on the left out of the way.

Yet another picture hat has been edited in Photoshop. This was taken while I was exploring some storm drains with a friend. If any of you have seen the movie cloverfield then you should remember this part from the movie.

Hud: Do you guys remember a couple of years ago when that guy was lighting homeless people on fire in the subways?
Rob Hawkins: Jesus, Hud! Maybe not the best time for this conversation down here!
Hud: Right.
[awkward silent pause]
Hud: I just can’t stop thinking how scary it’d be if a flaming homeless guy came running…

That pretty much sums up the mood while we were down there. Anyways I like the graffiti’s color against the walls of the drain.

If you ask me, what the Big Heads (that is what I call the big dogs at large corporations) need to do is consider how we, the public, consume information and where we are likely to see images that appeal to us.  I don’t know about you, but between various internet sites, email, RSS feeders, and other means, my curiosity gets piqued a lot more there than through general media.  TV – well I either zoom through commercials or I mute them.  Movies – well I am a captive audience in a theater, so those little ads on screen do tend to get some of my attention.  Magazines – not so much anymore because I have either stopped subscribing or there seems to be a 10 perfume ads within that taint the whole experience.   Why aren’t they thinking creatively with the consumer in mind?  Boggles the mind.

between hearing Norma Desmond v.2.0's version  along with this fellow's version and me blowing out my larynx trying to keep up with the dance remix while driving ("And you-ah, And you-ah, And you-ah, And you-ah [ad nauseum]" Thank God for tinted windows), I gotta give it a good six months before I'm prepared to hear "AIATYING" again.

And by the way, I was quick to hate on Monday (blame it on going to bed at two in the morning), that I forgot to congratulate. Yay! Girl! Yay! After Eddie lost, I just knew I was going to giving Adriana Barraza the evil eye, although she was  one of the best things about Babel.
