This sweet baby girl, 1947 Ford Fire Truck, needs a name! Young and old kids love her magical charms

This sweet baby girl, 1947 Ford Fire Truck, needs a name! Young and old kids love her magical charms, and she comes out to play at all the local parades, and she’ll charm you off your feet.

Just spending time with her makes you wonder about her story. She talks to all those young antique men who stop to listen to her engine purr, and the younger men and women wait for their turn to have a ride on her fire truck bed as she goes along the parade route. She halls wood for the locals. At any give stop along her work route is just an invitation for people to stop and awe… over her and carry on conversations with her and about her to anyone that happens to be around her. Occasionally one or a group of her admirers will find it nesary to seek out her owner to try sweet talk Him into selling her for a peanut. The real truth is Katrina (Harely’s wife) has a heart for her and will not let her go.

If anyone out there has any part of her story please let me know. I’d love to tell the story here for everyone to see. I personnel am 2000 miles away but I’m looking forward to doing a photo shot with Isabel to show off all her beauty. So check in later for up dates on Isabel.

I can see this truck retiring as some ones logo or mascot.

Her story:
She has been named Isabel.
She is a 1947 Ford Fire Truck with the original paint job that still reads Carlton, Fire Depart NO. 3, still written on the door of the Truck.

Logging Company?

Brad Sullivan, lived in Carlton, Oregon and bought Isabel from a logging company who was using her to help with fire control. Isabel was not running at the time Brad bought her, but with a few special moves of a knowledgable mechanic Isabel’s engine was sing. Brad moved to Idaho and used Isabel to transport his mechanic tools, and used her to hall wood. Brad and Harley worked together where the transaction of ownership came to Harley.

2010, October new owner
Harley & Katrina Hansen
Now has a name, Isabel = Bella for short.

April 20th 2012
News up date here is another piece of Isabel story. Flag Day Parade in Fairfield Washington, July 4th 2011 in the back of Bella are Martin & Renee Hansen’s grand children. Right to left Willow, Millisha, Rilee, Elwin Hansen’s. They had a blast riding and throwing candy along the parade route.
