honda unveiled the p-nut concept car at the 2009 LA autoshow earlier this week. the new vehicle

gets its unique name from an acronym standing for ‘personal-neo urban transport’. the car features

a very angular three-seater design that could be propelled by a gas engine, hybrid engine or full

electric powertrain in the near future. the compact car would keep the engine in the rear to make

room for the cabin up front. the car is very early on in its development and critics think it will fade

away in the near future. however the compact design of the car and its ample interior cabin would

make it an ideal option for urban driving situations.

Honda says the P-NUT “design study model demonstrates a futuristic concept for an ultra-compact and sophisticated city coupe. Conceived around a small “footprint” for maximum convenience in tight urban settings, the packaging concept integrates a center driving position configuration and a rear powertrain layout.

The exterior styling leverages crisp angles with dynamic flowing lines that originate from the front of the vehicle and span outward toward the rear. The end result is a sleek and aggressive exterior that also allows for a spacious and open interior with excellent visibility.”

The new little squirrel has had quite a week. First of all we decided that she is definitely a girl, she’s just too cute not to be! She has had lots of meetings with Chippy about what being the squirrel about town will involve. She has also spent time meeting all the other plush and feltidermy.

Here she is with the newest feltidermy, the Medium Eight Point Buck Feltidermy.

We would all like to thank everyone for submitting their ideas for her name! There was one that stood out to us as soon as we saw it. Thank you to Jessica of PlushroomSoup, she gave the suggestion of the name P.Nut and is our winner! The name P.Nut really couldn’t be more fitting for this little squirrel!

Thanks again and please stop by tomorrow to see P.Nut’s first adventure to Chicago Ribfest!

All i can say is wow..what an album. If you dont want to read the review track-by-track then hit CTR

All i can say is wow..what an album. If you dont want to read the review track-by-track then hit CTRL + F and type “Summary”.

1.Ryder Intro

Nice intro, keeps it short and sweet really, it’s not even a minute and a half long so i’m not gonna give it a rating. Davinche on the “Rider” production, well vocaled.

2. Wearing My Rolex

Wow. This song is still about, in a rather large way. No matter what type of place or time i’m playing at, no matter what type of music, this song gets requested. Then, i’m bullied into not only playing it but re-loading it thousands of times. But it’s still a decent tune. Bless Beats is fantastic on the production, showing his versatility as a producer, and vice versa for Wiley as an MC. So, this isn’t Wiley at his grimier end of the spectrum, but this is what i call pushing the scene forward. I mean, Chris Martin (Coldplay Frontman) was on stage during his world tour doing the ROLEX SWEEP!!! How fucked is that?!?! Overall, a catchy tune, with not an overload of vocalling from wiley. 8/10

3. I Need To Be

My absolute favorite tune on the album, just edging in front of lead single See Clear Now. Jake Gosling on the production, and i have never heard of this dude before. I think after this i’m gonna google him and hit the Myspace and/or Facebook. The chorus is extremely catchy, and who would’ve thought it..i initially heard this tune on Soccer AM last month. Talk about getting recognition!! There is a backing singer who keeps popping up in the tune, and whoever they are they add brilliant vocals. Wiley really has struck gold with this tune. The producer also pops up again later on i think; will be interesting to see what else he pops up with. Overall 10/10

4. Summertime

This one is a proper banger!! That guy Jake Gosling is back with the production for this one, and he pulls it off excellently. Not quite as good as I Need To Be, i felt the tune was a little bit noisy. But all the same i think thats just my speakers playing up again!! A real summer anthem, and could well still be around next summer! This one is one of the more grimier tunes on there and Wileys vocals are bang on point. The big bad like chorus at the end is big, and adds the extra little vibe to the tune. “Fast approach them/Let ‘em know its nice to know them/N of course iv’e got an internet modem/Myspace, Facebook take a look/Comment on my page got new beats to show them.” Yeah!! Wiley is doing this thing. Overall, another Eskiboy banger! 8/10

5. See Clear Now (Feat Kano & Scorcher)

When I heard this tune, i pictured Wiley, Kano and Scorcher on stage, on top of the pops. For real! That ain’t even an attempt to par them in any way, this is tune that will possibly push the scene forward. Wiley’s on point, Scorchers on point and Kano is more than on point!!! What a tune guys!!! As far as production is concerned i have no clue whatsoever as to who “P-Nut and Mathias Wollo” are. But they made a fantastic track at the end of the day so. Now for some big excerpts; “I was sitting by the pool/Palm trees blowing/Thinkin bout my life has got my heart beat going
/If you haven’t got a vision then fam/Where you going/All I can see is my fan base growing” – Wiley. Brilliant, bang on point bars. And he is clearly right. His fan base is growing. Recently iv’e slagged him off a little with all the Dillan business and that but this album…DAMN! “Having to wtach your back cock the tin ting/Im Tryna top the charts like the Ting Tings/They call me vein/But That’s not my name” - Kano. Kano comes along and further emphasizes my “pushing the scene forward” hypothesis. Even scorcher manages to remain simply the best on this track. When he first comes in the track switched up in too some next funky-like mode, and i thought scorcher wouldn’t been able to hack it on the track, but the normal track comes back and Scorcher finishes off a superb track. Overall 9/10.

6. Cash In My Pocket (Feat Daniel Merriweather)

Not even an interesting Mark Ronson production could save this tune, nor could an extremely funny video. Whilst I agree with many of the bars and the topic in general, i just hate the tune. Maybe it’s just Daniel Merriweather’s voice, it is a JAR!! But big up Wiley though, ‘cos this ones being played all over the place, from Kiss to Radio One to Capital FM!! Overall 4/10.

7. 5 AM (Feat. Scorcher)

Another Scorcher appearance, Eski is really pushing him at the moment. And i’m really looking forward to the Scorcher album “Concrete Jungle”. back to the track, Jake Gosling is on the production, and yet again there is an interesting backing singer. Scorcher I particularly like on this track, but i felt as if i had heard this tune too many times before. Good tune though, just not one of the better ones. Overall 7/10.

8. Step By Step (Feat. Hot Chip)

In case your wondering who “Hot Chip” are, they are the Indie/Techno band that covered Wearing My Rolex on stage with Wiley during Glastonbury. This tune isn’t exactly a banger but it does work, and that’s whats important. Hot Chip are also on the production of this one, and the song changes 3 rapid times during the course of it. I love it. Good Vocals, though i couldn’t really pick out any special bars from Wiley. Overall: 7/10

9. Turn It Up

Where is Wiley getting all these next producers for. E.g the production on this one is by Arthur Baker. On behalf of Ab Productions. what a tune, i’m gonna play it to some people next time i play, and see if they’re feeling it. I Like the beat and i really like the way Wiley approaches it. This is superb. Once again varying his style and making a hit. BIG UP WILEY. Overall 8/10.

10. Can’t Stop Thinking

What’s rather interesting about this track is that Wiley has co-produced it with that Gosling (Jake) fellow, and they’ve linked to make a nice track. It sounds a bit like a Wiley freestyle with one of those generic choruses. There isn’t really much to say about this track other thanI liked it. Overall; catchy. 7/10

11. I Am The Sea

I said about all these names on the production roll, on this one we have: Peter Raeburn, Nick Foster and Adam Bushell. Wow. This isn’t grime but it has them sort of lines along it. Nice tune. Wiley wuotes himself as the grime creator. True. Factual music all through this album. Wasnt overley keen on this one though. Overall: 6/10.

SUMMARY

Well if your are a die hard grime fan, this obviously wasn’t for you. But this is certianly album glod for someone like me, who is open to all types of music. I will be blaring this out all over christmas and i would advise you lot to do the same. track-by-track this is full of certified bangers, with support from the likes of Kano, Scorcher, Mark Ronson & Daniel merriweather, Hot Chip and Jake Gosling. Big up Jake Gosling with some massive productions on there, he’s doing this thing. Big up scorcher with a couple of appearences, his albums dropping soon. wiley has excelled to new heights here, pushing the scene forward with a blend of Grime/Pop/Techno/Indie/Funk beats and vocals that will wet anyones appetite.

Overall:

No. Of Tracks: 11

Better Than 5/10: 9

Quality Of Bars (10) :8

Quality Of productions (10): 10

I remember these kids!

It was LIL NIQUE & DJ JUS who were already established, and they’d been all over tv performing on talk shows. They were also on NICKELODEON’S FIGURE IT OUT & APOLLO KIDS. I believe they even had their own radio show on NY’s HOT 97. Then it was TAY-BOOGIE (BK), SHORTEE REDD, P-NUT (FROM LA), STARSKY (BOSTON?)& HUTCH(BK), MC REN, ANTWAN & RAY RAY (FROM DETROIT). Everyone except for the latter two were part of the hip hop super-group formed by Michael Bivins in 1998/9. The group was called the Magnificent 7 (Mag 7). All 10 of the kids were a group called The Bic Ten Pee Wee Allstars. Their first single was “Street Mix”, and they released another single titled “Something Terrible”. ANTWAN & RAY RAY released two singles as well called “Dance Wit Me” and “Feeling It”. After their album “Michael Bivins Presents: The Bic Ten Pee Wee Allstars” didn’t do well, the group disbanded.

The music was good, I feel it was a lot better than their predecessors, but I personally don’t think the world was ready for another kiddie/pre-teen rap group. I liked their image though. I think that if they had a bigger push, they might have done really well. I also don’t think it would have been hard for them to make the transition to adult rappers. You can click here to listen to their entire album.

Check under the cut to see what happened to the rest of the boys.

SHORTEE REDD played in HE’S GOT GAME. I haven’t seen him in anything since. He does have a MySpace page, but it’s set to private.

LIL NIQUE & DJ JUS was in the BET Blockbuster hit PRISON SONG. DJ JUS was also in BROWN SUGAR.
Just as I was coming up with this site, I was wondering what happened to all of them. DJ JUS is now 18, and has been DJing for LIL BOW WOW since the second installment of the SCREAM TOUR. You can check out this Youtube.com/80zbaby89 Youtube channel to see what DJ JUS is into.

DJ JUS’s on MySpace

Mid-summer 2006, RAY-RAY (aka RASHAD MORGAN) had a song out with YOUNG DRO, and he was signed to TI’s GRAND HUSTLE record label.
