I picked up some mirror markers at the store, and then I proceeded to decorate the kids’ mirrors with them!

My baby girl is no longer a baby. She’s a fourth grader now!! She has her own views on what’s appropriate for school, and she dislikes having someone tell her otherwise.

My little boy is a second grader. He gets the joy of finding out what it’s like to have a teacher who knew his sister. It’s our first experience with that.

The boy, for some reason, is finding this position quite comfortable.
I have no idea why, but he was.

I’ve always been one to listen to music while I’m reading.
Sometimes, I’ll choose something based on what I’m reading. Or I’ll choose it based on my mood.

So, I listen to a lot of sappy love songs because I read sappy love stories.
And I listen to a lot of 80s, because I’m usually in a nostalgic sort of mood.
All in all, I love music, and I love reading.

Yeah, I think I have a slight obsession with Netflix, but honestly, I like being able to watch series all at once, and well, watching it on Netflix is a lot easier.

Burn Notice is my new love. I’m addicted. I will admit it! I’ve watched it enough to know the whole opening, whistle in the right parts, quote the best parts (“You know spies. Bunch of whiny little girls.” and “If you’re desperate”)!

My FIL has property in Mclouth, KS. We go there for oil changes, and soon, family gatherings.
He just had a house built, and the final touches are being put on. They’re planning on moving in the weekend of the 11th.
I’m excited for them. I know this has been a long process for him. A lot of stress and all that.
The house and land looks like it’s worth it, and I never have an issue going up there, because I can take my camera, and take pictures. Lots of pictures. With water, sky, land, horses, cows, dogs, and kiddos galore, I have so many things I can take a picture of.

The lack of rain in the midwest is causing strong trees to buckle under the pressure.
Add not so strong trees, and you have a recipe for disaster.

It’s so dry here. Scary dry.

Madison, last week and most of this week, had an issue with the diving board. She’d belly-flopped and hurt her ribs the last time she’d gone off. So she was legitimately scared.

Today, she took that fear and made it work for her. She went off the board. She was shaking when she got out of the pool, but she had the biggest smile on her face. She wasn’t going to let fear get the best of her.

I’m so proud of my baby girl, and all that she accomplished. She might not have passed Level 3, because she wasn’t completely confident, but she went in there, ready to prove that she could do it, and that’s the most we could have asked of her!

Not a pleasant sight to see, but nothing really fell. No sounds were heard.
The wind was SO nice though. Wonderfully pleasant.

Dinner is cooking: green beans with Bacon, grilled pork chops and shell pasta.
It was SO good. So delicious. SO yummy!

I have a thing with clouds. I adore them.
I love taking pictures of them.
I even pull out my Canon EOS Rebel XS to take pictures of them.

I have to keep them high above, or else the kids will get into them, and then they’re gone in a couple of days.

Cereal bars are the new go-to snack. I love them. The kids love them. It’s a win-win situation with them.
